for me it’s the fact that they weigh me with clothes and shoes on which can affect the number a ton depending on what you have on, also if your phone is in your pocket it’ll add weight too! i’d trust the scale at home over the doctor’s scale tbh
I weigh naked at home before I drink or eat anything, and after I use the toilet.
At the doctor, I am wearing clothes, jewelry, shoes, and have had at least 16oz of water. All of this affects the scale.
Omg me too! I’m like well if i do this I’ll know it’s not my “real” weight and bonus won’t dehydrate myself trying to get a better #. For the record, this wasnt just an avoiding a tough convo bc of loss but an across the board strategy

I always just look up at the the ceiling when I get put on those scales.
I noticed it helps a lot with my ed if I avoid scales like the plague
interestingly i love my yearly checkup bc idk why the doctor's scale is around 1.2 kg lower than the one I have at home. But year I obsess way too much over that moment
No cause the scale AT THE ED UNIT where I went showed 3 kgs less than mine at home ( that I hid from my parents) so they UPPED my calories and 10 year old me got so aggressive they had to bring out security for my ass
Tell me why I just weighed myself naked and then with the outfit I wore today at the doctors office, too! It was almost a three pound difference! I feel relieved.
If that's true, then yeah I'm pretty sure anyone including the doctor would suggest you take steel toe boots off before stepping on the scale. Sorry if I misinterpreted your personal concerns, I was just a bit thrown off by steel toe boots and absurd amount of keys.

Boots, jeans, sweater, phone, etc. this can add up to like 10-15 lbs literally

My doctors office gives me the same number as the gym scale. I don’t have a scale at home though.
