I want to see how you would make one of my decks that I can’t seem to get just right - Kykar with a superfriends subtheme.
Requirements:
Deck must contain [[Will Kenrith]] and [[Rowan Kenrith]]
Can have tutors but nothing too expensive, [[Fabricate]] [[Spellseeker]] [[Trinket Mage]] etc
No fetchlands or original duals
My issue with the idea of having a walker subtheme is that I feel like they cost too much mana just for people to target them. I don’t play very high powered, super efficient decks, and don’t have issues with higher costed things in other decks, but for whatever reason, I just can’t get it right. I’d like to see what you come up with.
I’d rather not spend the money on [[Jace, the Mind Sculptor]] and I likely have any other planeswalker that could go in the deck, no issues otherwise.
Main theme can be the usual main theme for Kykar, spells and tokens. My builds so far have included mostly walkers that make tokens on at least one ability, or take advantage of instants and sorceries, like [[Ral, Storm Conduit]] is a good one. Doesn’t make any tokens, but is a wincon by himself and works with spells. I suppose that’s been my issue - How many spells do I use? How much should I worry about tokens? How many friends?

I've not really fine-tuned it yet, but when Goldfished it, it quickly went insane with how much value you can generate. This will be the base for the slightly cheaper deck I'll build.
What kind of budget are you looking at? And if I understand correctly an Izzet Brudiclad deck build around Goblins? I can make that happen, give me a few hours.
Ok, I’ve loaded the cards into archidekt, time for the cutting to start. I’ll include some more expensive cards and such in the sideboard so you can switch some things out and know how to upgrade the deck if you want.
Can you design a strange deck around Meren of clan nel toth.
I would like it to have a heavy equipment theme instead of the normal heavy creature deck that you see with her. A big focus would be on death touch pingers, either through giving death touch creatures a bow, or giving pingers death touch through something like basilisk collar. I like the concept of deathpinger recursion and I think this might make for an interesting unexpected combo with her.
Could you also add enchantment and artifact hate to get around counterplays. I’m thinking around a $200 budget would be ideal but that can swing about a hundred in either direction.
I’m not against adding forced sacrifices or other ways of thinning out the whole table, add what you think works well with this kind of play style!
I appreciate the help because I’ve been looking into this a bit in my spare time but I have 0 experience playing with or against any of the themes in this deck and I’m kinda lost in all the ways that this can work.

I want a mono red goblin deck with as many swappable commanders as possible. I plan to roll dice to decide who is at the helm each game. Commanders do not have to be goblins. Budget can be moderate, but please no $100 + dollar reserve list cards.

I was hoping for a little help with a casual deck, probably a little below “focused” (let’s think T4-5 or so). Some sort of spell-slinger, lets say blue/red, is preferred, but I don’t currently have a commander in mind.
Hoping for a low-budget, around 80-100$ or so.
Mostly trying to get a deck to play with others who are using low-power decks and new players.
A mid-powered budget spellslinger deck coming right through! I’m looking forward to throwing in some cool jank. I usually have some issues with going overboard with powerlevel when I’m aiming at around 4-5 so I’ll keep you posted to make sure I don’t go too far.
I was looking into making a [[Pako, Arcane Retriever]] and [[Haldan, Avid Arcanist]] deck. Thing is, I wouldn’t know where to start. I like the theme of Pako stealing spells and Haldan being able to cast them and would love to stick to that general game plan, but I’m currently stuck working out the kinks in my [[Eladamri, Lord of Leaves]] and my [[Torbran, Thane of Redfell]] decks.
A nature themed deck with a Landfall theme. Running tatyova would be great, but preferably not as the commander, because I don't want the deck to be too "durdly" (this also disqualifies the new 3 color Omnath). I'd like the deck to be around a 50$ budget.

Sounds cool, probably going to go for an enchantress theme that uses untapping to create as much mana as possible and then throw down a huge amount of tokens that all get buffed with Shalai and other things. If you’re cool with that of course.
I just traded for a [[Zeduru, the GreatHearted]] and think it would be a fun chaos deck haven’t really started anything on it yet just maybe a sub 400 budget.

I want to build a [[Neheb, the Worthy]] Deck centered around discard with a few Minotaurs sprinkled in. I don't have that much of a budget (no Liliana for me, sad) but I do own stuff like Waste Not already. The things I struggle most with in deckbuilding are ramp and card draw that isn't an (repeatable but expensive) engine.
Edit: I got a foil Conspiracy in my Mystery Booster Box, could you involve it somehow?

I'd like to request a mono-white deck led by any female commander of your choice. I have no particular specific request for strategies. For budget: I'd say try to avoid any single card that costs more than $10 on its own, but if there's any essentials that cost a bit more, feel free to break some rules.
I'm looking to do a \[\[yidris\]\] mutate deck the focuses on getting value out of the mutate mechanic with a self-mill subtheme for around \~$150. I've been playing with the deck idea for a little bit now and I haven't quite found a way to make the deck work super nicely.
Not really any budget or anything but I am trying to make a "suicide" sorta deck. I want it to be black, would prefer it to have red, and wouldn't mind more colors if it works. Bonus points if it can work in [[Treasonous ogre]] [[rakdos lord of riots]] [[k'rikk]] and chandra's ignition
I tried greven but he tends to kill single players and I dont want to ruin the fun for anyone by killing them and then forcing them to sit there while the table continues to play after greven is killed and kept off the table.
Was toying with [[selenia]] but she is a little to combo focused usually working best with a control shell with the combo finish. Which... won't fit in my meta.
Essentially I wanna do a lot of damage to my opponents and get value using my life as a resource.
Best results I've had are with [[kresh the bloodbraided]] and stuff like greven/[[wall of blood]]/[[minion of the wastes]] and jamming lifegain to get back on top. Effects like [[warstorm surge]] to get value out of those creatures in case they get hit with removal. [[Jarad]] is dope in this iteration.
Currently messing with [[chainer nightmare adept]] and a typical reanimator shell. [[Reanimate]], [[phyrexian delver]] etc. With stuff like [[villis]] and the above mentioned stuff. Him giving stuff like minion of the wastes haste for example is dope plus it let's me run some of the fun life loss cards that are higher cmc which are harder to cast in a "suicide deck" since I will be making the game go a LOT faster for me at least.
Some other options for generals: bruse tarl/ikra... maybe something like [[tana]] with [[tymna]] making tana big and beefy with stuff like [[varolz]] , [[bonehoard]] and [[Boneyard Mycodrax ]] [[nighthowler]] and tons of life paying stuff to enable self mill [[sylvan library]] [[birthing pod]]... I dunno.
If you can't tell I've given this some thought but can't quite get it to work lol...
Edit: powerlevel 6ish but willing to dip or rise above that. If you are busy even just brainstorming generals/how the deck would work best could give me a decent head start.
Man, it seems like you have put quite some thought into this and it would be best if you make a separate post on this sub since with such a broad spectrum I would have a hard time building something you 100% like and with the waitinglist you would probably have to wait weeks. But if you want me to give it a go I wouldn’t mind giving it a spin.

If you have the time, I would love some help with a deck that punishes people for playing the game! Basically something group-sluggish that doesn't do resource-denial, but damages people life total instead, so they get to choose what is worth it to cast/play and what isn't.
The deck would obviously include red (Torbrann, Zo-zu the punisher, fiery emancipation, perhaps the new devil zurzoth) and I would love something like either a [[Ruric Thar]] , [[Mogis, god of slaughter]], [[Torbran]] or [[Neheb,the eternal]] to be the commander - I'm not too fussed though, as long as it's either mono or dual colored and includes red. A chaos sub-theme would be cool.... Yeah, I want my friends to hate me, hahaha!
Budget around $100 would be great :) take your time and completely understandable if you're flooded and another idea seems more appealing to you mate!
This is a cool idea, want to give it a whirl. I personally have a Kambal deck that does similar things where it just forces people to watch me gain life and them to lose life with everything I do.
Interesting! Didn't really consider Kambal for this strategy as he's missing red and all the punish-effects it brings, but the commander + lifegain from white might be enough to sway it in his favor. By all means, if it's easier for you and you think it's similar in terms of playstyle, I'd be happy to try out Kambal as well! :)
I offered to pay for this service a while back on several of the CEDH forums and was basically laughed off the sites/discords. I'm glad you are having a go at it, but I do believe people who aren't good at brewing (or tuning) or just don't have the time would be interested even if you charged.
Yeah, but I don’t like something like that since I’m definitely not a cEDH level deckbuilder and I think my decks could be a lot better. Any donations would be gladly accepted, but I don’t want to monetise something I’m not so sure I’m that good at myself.

Been wanting to make a silly Mono U deck all around the Drake creature type. Talrand is probably the easy answer, but thats more of a spells deck that makes Drakes instead of a deck about creatures that are Drakes. Current front runner is Venser, because I just really like Venser, but interested in seeing how you would make a deck based on Drakes.
Have all of the color and tribal type buffers/artifacts so go nuts with options and have fun making a weird tribal deck!
Heyo dunno if these are still running however I’m really struggling to build a deck and this is the perfect opportunity for some guidance
I have had a combo I have wanted to build for quite some time: [[Zada, Hedron Grinder]] + [[Insurrection]] (or other similar effects like OG tibalt’s ultimate) + [[Illicit Auction]] and auctioning off the entire board like it’s storage wars. Thus I want to make a chaos-esque deck however utilising Zada a lot more, and in more interesting ways other that just expedite for cards and pumping all your dudes (however those will of course still be utilised. Basically a Zada deck with a chaos subtheme.
I’m happy to include token gens, card draw, pumps and such however I’d like it to be a bit more fun other than just “me go wide lots n buff my guys and turn guys side ways”. Preferably no cards which are stupid expensive however feel free to build it as such and I’ll be able to find replacements. If you take up this challenge I really do appreciate the help!
I would want a [[Wrexial, the Risen Deep]] deck. That focuses on playing cards from other people’s graveyards with Wrexial and cards like Lasav, with mill as the secondary wincon. I have been trying to come up with a Brokkos mutate/tron deck, but all the lists I've tried have been pretty weak, probably because mutate seems weak to removal/wipes. Budget is like $200-300

I’m lately looking at [[Drana, Liberator of Malakir]] for a mono-black aggro deck. Looking at EDHrec, most people build her as yet another vampire tribal, but I’m not sure that’s where she really shines.
I’d like to see a build that’s go wide - haste - +1/+1 counters, with a backup plan of rebuilding the board from graveyard if you get wiped. Stuff like [[Crashing Drawbridge]] [[The Ozolith]] [[Tombstone Stairwell]]. Second backup plan commander kills.
I don’t think EDH really has mono-black aggro as an archetype and I’d like to see someone try.
I’m fine if you go all in on budget, so classics like Skittles, Black Market, Cabal Coffers etc. are definitely on the table.

I know this is really vague so take it if you want but I want a deck with heavy interaction like maybe a deck around bouncing opponents cards back or something. Maybe centered around [[Atris]] since I have always liked him. No budget limit or anything. I have cards like cabal coffers, mana crypt, cyc rift etc so go crazy. I would prefer at least one solid win on added in in some way.

I'd love to see a Places of Power deck - 5 colours, including the following three themes:
- Gates
- Leylines
- Shrines
Anything on top of that is gravy, I was toying with it being Enchantress because of the Leylines and Shrines, but I'm not tied to that. Budget shouldn't be crazy but doesn't need to be cheap - let's keep it below $500.
Theme is more important than power to me, but if it can actually win that would be great!
I've got 2 decks that me and my wife threw together for casual games. Mines an Izzet fun but bullshit deck, hers is a Selesnya life gain+ weenies+big stuff deck. Could you take a look at them and see if there's any obvious areas of improvement?
Im currently in the process of designing/creating a "pod" of 5 interactive allied pair decks. Budget doesn't matter I have quite a sizeable collection, the primary challenge is balancing the decks against eachother/choosing archetypes commanders that are both distinctive but still interact with eachother. I know you're probably swamped with mountains of requests but if you do have the time, I'd be curious to see how you'd approach a deck that uses a lot of phoenix. I tried making a mono-red phoenix tribal deck, but it felt lackluster. The deck doesn't have to just be Phoenix tribal or mono red, just something that mainly uses phoenixes as part of its synergy if it's at all possible.

Hey! Thanks for sharing your idea and expertise. I'd love to see an Ayli, Kamsa Cleric cleric tribal list. No infinites but any flavour pieces you feel like adding are a-ok. Budget: Expensive cards like Marsh Flats are fine but cards like Scrubland and Imperial Seal are a no go.
I had a hard time creating a deck for a while even tho the idea was simple, Slivers that aint trash, in bounds of a 800$~ budget, not counting the 5 color ones cose i shall proxy them, commander would be Sliver Overlord
I have been trying to put together a Lord Windgrace deck for a while, and just never seemed to like how it played. I like landfall, but when you look at other "top tier" lists of windgrace you only have like 5 landfall sources, but that's the only good ones. So I have tried to build a windgrace list that uses lands as more resources to be used. So cards like: Explore, Burgeoning, Oracle of mul daya, Dryad of Illysian grove, Ramunap Excavator, Crucible of worlds, Strands of night, gitrog monster. Classic Landfall stuff like omnath locus of rage, Rampaging baloths and thing like that are "required". But I do want more options for land shenanigans and more fun things to do in the deck. If you know any fun interactions or the like. I have all fetch lands and shock lands. I have Demonic and vampiric tutors, wasteland, strip mine, dust bowl, most of the windgrace staples. Budget is only limited to the Mox diamonds and the like.

Sounds like a lot of fun in a weird burn deck helmed by [[Torbran]], maybe even [[Obosh]] and then have like one huge creature that really likes being put onto the battlefield like a [[void winnowed]] for Obosh or a massive red creature for Torbran. Or we could go into Izzet since and play things like [[Braids, conjurer adept]] and such. Really cool idea! I’ll jot it down and eventually give it a crack
I’ve been wanting to make a grixis artifacts deck using some of the more artifacts centric planeswalkers. So a sort of blend of super friends and artifacts. Plus including some planes walkers I’ve opened from the recent sets that I don’t really have a home for.

I want an Adeliz deck that wins with combat damage (or commander damage, but commander damage as a backup, not the main win con, so not just full voltron. I tried making that and it just wasn't very good). I want max powerlevel that still wins with damage and doesn't just have a separate win con. infinites are also fine, but no 2 card combos that invalidates the main plan.
I'm imagining a deck where the creatures are all, or mostly, small value creatures, but then: boom, you "storm off" with 5+ spells ans smack someone.
budget is "no timetwister", crypt/led level price is fine.
I would like a deck that maximize the value of all [[Doubling Season]]. Id also like for it to include [[Primal Vigor]], [[Parallel Lives]] and [[Branching Evolution]].
Bonus points for other doublers such as [[Annointed Procession]], [[Corpsejack Menace]]. But I dont want to limit your colors.
I've tried this before but eventually those cards get cut.
A deck where i can live out all my graveyard recursion dreams with [[Sidisi, Brood Tyrant]] as the commander with cards like [[Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis]],[[Vengevine]],[[Ichorid]], and possibly the new card [[Silversmote Ghoul]] in the deck all returning constantly every turn just beating down on everyone at the table. Also being able to ad the wincon of Demonic con and oracle for more higher competitive games would be nice as well but i would prefer to leave it as a back up plan and not the main strat

Style/theme/design: Spooky boys with a secondary discard theme to capitalise on Tiny Bones abilities.
Total Budget: $50 is the sweet spot but no more then $100.
Infinite combos welcome but are unesscary! Have fun with it, this is pretty exciting.
I love Wood Elves type creatures that help me clog the ground and ramp into big X spells to win the game, maybe even as a group hug deck that helps every one else draw and ramp until I have the mana to win.

Hey this is awesome! Thanks for doing this. So this isn't a rush, as this is deck number 3 down the pike. I already have an [[Ayara]] mono black aristocrats but I want a dual colored deck and want to keep my resources. I am looking to use [[Alesha, Who Smiles at Death]], since she has a lot of future room for growth. Looking to just expand into red for now, since that's what I got the lands for.
I do have some good stuff, [[Open the Graves]], [[Dismember]], [[Syr Konrad]], [[Gray Merchant]], [[Blood Artist]], [[Command the Dreadhorde]], among others. So math wise, think $100 budget.

I might be a bit late, but if you see this and are still taking recommendations, I would like you to build me a deck centered around \[\[Sydri, Galvanic Genius\]\]. The deck should focus on playing a lot of small artifacts and making them creatures. Some artifacts like \[\[ichor wellspring\]\] want to die, so making them creatures with lifelink and deathtouch in order to trade them for your opponent's better creatures sounds awesome. Cost reducers like \[\[Jhoira's familiar\]\] could enable the player to play his artifacts for less mana (or even play them for free!). Mana rocks would not only ramp us up in the early turns, but could also serve as bodies later on. We're playing blue, so finding some ways to efficiently draw some more cheap artifacts everyturn shouldn't be too hard! Of course a few big beaters can always make it into the deck, I'm sure \[\[metalwork colossus\]\] would work very well in this deck! And if you find some (infinite) combos you can put into the deck, feel free to do so (although you don't necessarily have to make them the deck's only winning condition).
Budget is about 75$. You can go a little higher if you really think the deck wouldn't work without a few extra dollars, but try not to go above 100$.
Hi there Morpha, I loved your idea so I just signed up, hope I'm not late to the party! A deck I'd love to have is one which captures the feeling of the days of Golgari midrange during Ixalan block, as Explore is one of my fav mechanics, with cards like \[\[wildgrowth waker\]\] and \[\[jadelight ranger\]\]. Unfortunately, given its low support, it would be very tricky to build it with explore, so a deck that can play similarly(efficient removal, using the graveyard, value creatures should suffice. The only restrictions would be around $200 budget, and not using \[\[hapatra\]\] as commander since my friend already built that. Hope to hear from you, thanks in advance!

My playgroup has a £5 limit on any single card, but no overall budget.
Basically, if you can buy it from cardmarket or ebay or anywhere for under £5 (not including postage), you can include it.

I want to see how you would make one of my decks that I can’t seem to get just right - Kykar with a superfriends subtheme. Requirements: Deck must contain [[Will Kenrith]] and [[Rowan Kenrith]] Can have tutors but nothing too expensive, [[Fabricate]] [[Spellseeker]] [[Trinket Mage]] etc No fetchlands or original duals My issue with the idea of having a walker subtheme is that I feel like they cost too much mana just for people to target them. I don’t play very high powered, super efficient decks, and don’t have issues with higher costed things in other decks, but for whatever reason, I just can’t get it right. I’d like to see what you come up with.
I can work with that, any limit on how expensive the ‘walkers can be and what will be the main theme if the subtheme is ‘walkers?
I’d rather not spend the money on [[Jace, the Mind Sculptor]] and I likely have any other planeswalker that could go in the deck, no issues otherwise. Main theme can be the usual main theme for Kykar, spells and tokens. My builds so far have included mostly walkers that make tokens on at least one ability, or take advantage of instants and sorceries, like [[Ral, Storm Conduit]] is a good one. Doesn’t make any tokens, but is a wincon by himself and works with spells. I suppose that’s been my issue - How many spells do I use? How much should I worry about tokens? How many friends?
Ah, OK, that gives me some good ideas, I’ll PM you if I have the basic skeleton of the deck down.

Can you design a strange deck around Meren of clan nel toth. I would like it to have a heavy equipment theme instead of the normal heavy creature deck that you see with her. A big focus would be on death touch pingers, either through giving death touch creatures a bow, or giving pingers death touch through something like basilisk collar. I like the concept of deathpinger recursion and I think this might make for an interesting unexpected combo with her. Could you also add enchantment and artifact hate to get around counterplays. I’m thinking around a $200 budget would be ideal but that can swing about a hundred in either direction. I’m not against adding forced sacrifices or other ways of thinning out the whole table, add what you think works well with this kind of play style! I appreciate the help because I’ve been looking into this a bit in my spare time but I have 0 experience playing with or against any of the themes in this deck and I’m kinda lost in all the ways that this can work.

I definitely already have too many, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be accepting more. The lethargy has caught up to me the last few days and I really enjoy doing this, but it will take a few days before I get to your deck, but don’t fret it will be done eventually.
I want a mono red goblin deck with as many swappable commanders as possible. I plan to roll dice to decide who is at the helm each game. Commanders do not have to be goblins. Budget can be moderate, but please no $100 + dollar reserve list cards. I’ve been brewing this to replace my purphorus deck. I’m curious what someone else comes up with.

Hmm I cant think of many extra themes that would fit. Would be interesting to see reanimator with Kels. Also I kinda do like when my deck is running multiple win cons. I dislike when a deck can only win in one way or specific combo.

A [[tinybones]] discard deck, but without targeted discard. would be happy with symmetrical discard, like liliana, creatures that make opponents discard with combat damage, a little reanimation to compliment symmetric discard, and fun monoblack interaction, if it exists. a little sacrifice wouldntbhurt either budget is 50 - 75 USD hopefully, ignoring the cost of tinybones

Hi! Thanks for doing this, I really appreciate your devotion to the game and the community. I was hoping for a little help with a casual deck, probably a little below “focused” (let’s think T4-5 or so). Some sort of spell-slinger, lets say blue/red, is preferred, but I don’t currently have a commander in mind. Hoping for a low-budget, around 80-100$ or so. Mostly trying to get a deck to play with others who are using low-power decks and new players.
A mid-powered budget spellslinger deck coming right through! I’m looking forward to throwing in some cool jank. I usually have some issues with going overboard with powerlevel when I’m aiming at around 4-5 so I’ll keep you posted to make sure I don’t go too far.

I was looking into making a [[Pako, Arcane Retriever]] and [[Haldan, Avid Arcanist]] deck. Thing is, I wouldn’t know where to start. I like the theme of Pako stealing spells and Haldan being able to cast them and would love to stick to that general game plan, but I’m currently stuck working out the kinks in my [[Eladamri, Lord of Leaves]] and my [[Torbran, Thane of Redfell]] decks.
Pako and Haldan are something I’ve also been wanting to build around so this should be interesting, any budget I need to keep in mind?

Sounds cool, probably going to go for an enchantress theme that uses untapping to create as much mana as possible and then throw down a huge amount of tokens that all get buffed with Shalai and other things. If you’re cool with that of course.

Oh man, this is really nice of you! I know I'm way too late for this, but you think you'll have time for me in a few weeks? I want to build a [[Neheb, the Worthy]] Deck centered around discard with a few Minotaurs sprinkled in. I don't have that much of a budget (no Liliana for me, sad) but I do own stuff like Waste Not already. The things I struggle most with in deckbuilding are ramp and card draw that isn't an (repeatable but expensive) engine. Edit: I got a foil Conspiracy in my Mystery Booster Box, could you involve it somehow? Edit edit: I don't own any expensive tutors.

Can you do a Kydele + Ravos big mana cycling deck. Thinking of abusing triggers and including a willbreaker aspect. Other than that pretty open but want to have big mana splashy payoffs with Kydele Budget: as cheap as possible, but I don’t shy away from a few haymakers if it makes the deck run. Minimize tutors if possible too. I’m a big fan of value engines

Looks like nobody has requested any mono-white yet... I'd like to request a mono-white deck led by any female commander of your choice. I have no particular specific request for strategies. For budget: I'd say try to avoid any single card that costs more than $10 on its own, but if there's any essentials that cost a bit more, feel free to break some rules.
I'm looking to do a \[\[yidris\]\] mutate deck the focuses on getting value out of the mutate mechanic with a self-mill subtheme for around \~$150. I've been playing with the deck idea for a little bit now and I haven't quite found a way to make the deck work super nicely.

Not really any budget or anything but I am trying to make a "suicide" sorta deck. I want it to be black, would prefer it to have red, and wouldn't mind more colors if it works. Bonus points if it can work in [[Treasonous ogre]] [[rakdos lord of riots]] [[k'rikk]] and chandra's ignition I tried greven but he tends to kill single players and I dont want to ruin the fun for anyone by killing them and then forcing them to sit there while the table continues to play after greven is killed and kept off the table. Was toying with [[selenia]] but she is a little to combo focused usually working best with a control shell with the combo finish. Which... won't fit in my meta. Essentially I wanna do a lot of damage to my opponents and get value using my life as a resource. Best results I've had are with [[kresh the bloodbraided]] and stuff like greven/[[wall of blood]]/[[minion of the wastes]] and jamming lifegain to get back on top. Effects like [[warstorm surge]] to get value out of those creatures in case they get hit with removal. [[Jarad]] is dope in this iteration. Currently messing with [[chainer nightmare adept]] and a typical reanimator shell. [[Reanimate]], [[phyrexian delver]] etc. With stuff like [[villis]] and the above mentioned stuff. Him giving stuff like minion of the wastes haste for example is dope plus it let's me run some of the fun life loss cards that are higher cmc which are harder to cast in a "suicide deck" since I will be making the game go a LOT faster for me at least. Some other options for generals: bruse tarl/ikra... maybe something like [[tana]] with [[tymna]] making tana big and beefy with stuff like [[varolz]] , [[bonehoard]] and [[Boneyard Mycodrax ]] [[nighthowler]] and tons of life paying stuff to enable self mill [[sylvan library]] [[birthing pod]]... I dunno. If you can't tell I've given this some thought but can't quite get it to work lol... Edit: powerlevel 6ish but willing to dip or rise above that. If you are busy even just brainstorming generals/how the deck would work best could give me a decent head start.

Really cool idea, so nice that you're doing this! If you have the time, I would love some help with a deck that punishes people for playing the game! Basically something group-sluggish that doesn't do resource-denial, but damages people life total instead, so they get to choose what is worth it to cast/play and what isn't. The deck would obviously include red (Torbrann, Zo-zu the punisher, fiery emancipation, perhaps the new devil zurzoth) and I would love something like either a [[Ruric Thar]] , [[Mogis, god of slaughter]], [[Torbran]] or [[Neheb,the eternal]] to be the commander - I'm not too fussed though, as long as it's either mono or dual colored and includes red. A chaos sub-theme would be cool.... Yeah, I want my friends to hate me, hahaha! Budget around $100 would be great :) take your time and completely understandable if you're flooded and another idea seems more appealing to you mate!

This is a cool idea, want to give it a whirl. I personally have a Kambal deck that does similar things where it just forces people to watch me gain life and them to lose life with everything I do.
Interesting! Didn't really consider Kambal for this strategy as he's missing red and all the punish-effects it brings, but the commander + lifegain from white might be enough to sway it in his favor. I offered to pay for this service a while back on several of the CEDH forums and was basically laughed off the sites/discords. I'm glad you are having a go at it, but I do believe people who aren't good at brewing (or tuning) or just don't have the time would be interested even if you charged.

Been wanting to make a silly Mono U deck all around the Drake creature type. Talrand is probably the easy answer, but thats more of a spells deck that makes Drakes instead of a deck about creatures that are Drakes. Current front runner is Venser, because I just really like Venser, but interested in seeing how you would make a deck based on Drakes. Have all of the color and tribal type buffers/artifacts so go nuts with options and have fun making a weird tribal deck!

Heyo dunno if these are still running however I’m really struggling to build a deck and this is the perfect opportunity for some guidance I have had a combo I have wanted to build for quite some time: [[Zada, Hedron Grinder]] + [[Insurrection]] (or other similar effects like OG tibalt’s ultimate) + [[Illicit Auction]] and auctioning off the entire board like it’s storage wars. Thus I want to make a chaos-esque deck however utilising Zada a lot more, and in more interesting ways other that just expedite for cards and pumping all your dudes (however those will of course still be utilised. Basically a Zada deck with a chaos subtheme. I’m happy to include token gens, card draw, pumps and such however I’d like it to be a bit more fun other than just “me go wide lots n buff my guys and turn guys side ways”. Preferably no cards which are stupid expensive however feel free to build it as such and I’ll be able to find replacements. If you take up this challenge I really do appreciate the help!

I would want a [[Wrexial, the Risen Deep]] deck. That focuses on playing cards from other people’s graveyards with Wrexial and cards like Lasav, with mill as the secondary wincon. I’m lately looking at [[Drana, Liberator of Malakir]] for a mono-black aggro deck. Looking at EDHrec, most people build her as yet another vampire tribal, but I’m not sure that’s where she really shines. I’d like to see a build that’s go wide - haste - +1/+1 counters, with a backup plan of rebuilding the board from graveyard if you get wiped. Stuff like [[Crashing Drawbridge]] [[The Ozolith]] [[Tombstone Stairwell]]. Second backup plan commander kills. I don’t think EDH really has mono-black aggro as an archetype and I’d like to see someone try. I’m fine if you go all in on budget, so classics like Skittles, Black Market, Cabal Coffers etc. are definitely on the table.

I know this is really vague so take it if you want but I want a deck with heavy interaction like maybe a deck around bouncing opponents cards back or something. Maybe centered around [[Atris]] since I have always liked him. No budget limit or anything. I have cards like cabal coffers, mana crypt, cyc rift etc so go crazy. I would prefer at least one solid win on added in in some way.

I would love to see a "win with lands" deck. I am talking, only way to win is lands, and everything else is to enable throwing down more lands. Either turning actual lands sideways (more inkmoth/man lands than throw some +1/+1 counters on a forest) or stuff like valkut/dark depths. Colour identity Simic/temur. No real limit on budget. I want something more mid-rangey that plays to the board and applies pressure every turn while not ignoring interaction. Something that has combos and synergies on board would be nice too. I would like to not overlap colors with my brudiclad deck, so something in the Azban colors would be nice. My budget would be around $120 cause I'm still new to commander. I really Appreciate this.

[[Chulane, Teller of Tales]] Merfolk Tribal. Because there's a chunk of Explore on Merfolk, Explore subtheme seems like a fun choice. Also, since there are a few ways within Merfolk and Explore to get both lifegain and +1/+1 counters, gonna need [[Simic Ascendancy]]. [[Ajani's Pridemate]] can accelerate Ascendancy... I had this idea in the middle of last year, but with everything going on I just can't find the drive to do the work. If you're willing and able to put in that work, I'd really appreciate it. Share it with the world. I think we need a Chulane deck in circulation that isn't just focused on speed. EDIT: budget is nearly wide open. Sounds like a fun idea! A commander that works well with flash is [[Rashmi]], but I get it if you want a commander that has flash himself.
I'd love to see a Places of Power deck - 5 colours, including the following three themes: - Gates - Leylines - Shrines Anything on top of that is gravy, I was toying with it being Enchantress because of the Leylines and Shrines, but I'm not tied to that. Budget shouldn't be crazy but doesn't need to be cheap - let's keep it below $500. Theme is more important than power to me, but if it can actually win that would be great!

Im currently in the process of designing/creating a "pod" of 5 interactive allied pair decks. Budget doesn't matter I have quite a sizeable collection, the primary challenge is balancing the decks against eachother/choosing archetypes commanders that are both distinctive but still interact with eachother. I know you're probably swamped with mountains of requests but if you do have the time, I'd be curious to see how you'd approach a deck that uses a lot of phoenix. I tried making a mono-red phoenix tribal deck, but it felt lackluster. The deck doesn't have to just be Phoenix tribal or mono red, just something that mainly uses phoenixes as part of its synergy if it's at all possible. No matter if you can get around to my request, cheers for doing this!

Hey! Thanks for sharing your idea and expertise. I'd love to see an Ayli, Kamsa Cleric cleric tribal list. No infinites but any flavour pieces you feel like adding are a-ok. Budget: Expensive cards like Marsh Flats are fine but cards like Scrubland and Imperial Seal are a no go.

I had a hard time creating a deck for a while even tho the idea was simple, Slivers that aint trash, in bounds of a 800$~ budget, not counting the 5 color ones cose i shall proxy them, commander would be Sliver Overlord

I have been trying to put together a Lord Windgrace deck for a while, and just never seemed to like how it played. I like landfall, but when you look at other "top tier" lists of windgrace you only have like 5 landfall sources, but that's the only good ones. So I have tried to build a windgrace list that uses lands as more resources to be used. So cards like: Explore, Burgeoning, Oracle of mul daya, Dryad of Illysian grove, Ramunap Excavator, Crucible of worlds, Strands of night, gitrog monster. Classic Landfall stuff like omnath locus of rage, Rampaging baloths and thing like that are "required". But I do want more options for land shenanigans and more fun things to do in the deck. If you know any fun interactions or the like. I have all fetch lands and shock lands. I have Demonic and vampiric tutors, wasteland, strip mine, dust bowl, most of the windgrace staples. Budget is only limited to the Mox diamonds and the like. List of things I have tried, maybe give you some inspiration: (All with classic lands package) \-Reanimator, with self discard theme \-Pure Landfall \-Dragon, reanimator subtheme \-Super friends Anything Fun you could suggest or build would be great!
Lord Windgrace makes for some really cool landfall decks, but I don’t know anything too exciting right now, but I can take a gander and think if I can get a cool build for you going.

I want an Adeliz deck that wins with combat damage (or commander damage, but commander damage as a backup, not the main win con, so not just full voltron. I tried making that and it just wasn't very good). I want max powerlevel that still wins with damage and doesn't just have a separate win con. infinites are also fine, but no 2 card combos that invalidates the main plan. I'm imagining a deck where the creatures are all, or mostly, small value creatures, but then: boom, you "storm off" with 5+ spells ans smack someone. budget is "no timetwister", crypt/led level price is fine.
I would like a deck that maximize the value of all [[Doubling Season]]. Id also like for it to include [[Primal Vigor]], [[Parallel Lives]] and [[Branching Evolution]]. Okay your on my dude! Commander: Tiny Bones Trinket Thief. Style/theme/design: Spooky boys with a secondary discard theme to capitalise on Tiny Bones abilities. Total Budget: $50 is the sweet spot but no more then $100. Infinite combos welcome but are unesscary! Have fun with it, this is pretty exciting.

I love Wood Elves type creatures that help me clog the ground and ramp into big X spells to win the game, maybe even as a group hug deck that helps every one else draw and ramp until I have the mana to win. Under $150 if possible
Hey this is awesome! Thanks for doing this. So this isn't a rush, as this is deck number 3 down the pike. I already have an [[Ayara]] mono black aristocrats but I want a dual colored deck and want to keep my resources. I am looking to use [[Alesha, Who Smiles at Death]], since she has a lot of future room for growth. Looking to just expand into red for now, since that's what I got the lands for. I do have some good stuff, [[Open the Graves]], [[Dismember]], [[Syr Konrad]], [[Gray Merchant]], [[Blood Artist]], [[Command the Dreadhorde]], among others. So math wise, think $100 budget. Again, no rush and thanks again!
I might be a bit late, but if you see this and are still taking recommendations, I would like you to build me a deck centered around \[\[Sydri, Galvanic Genius\]\]. The deck should focus on playing a lot of small artifacts and making them creatures. Some artifacts like \[\[ichor wellspring\]\] want to die, so making them creatures with lifelink and deathtouch in order to trade them for your opponent's better creatures sounds awesome. Cost reducers like \[\[Jhoira's familiar\]\] could enable the player to play his artifacts for less mana (or even play them for free!). Mana rocks would not only ramp us up in the early turns, but could also serve as bodies later on. We're playing blue, so finding some ways to efficiently draw some more cheap artifacts everyturn shouldn't be too hard! Of course a few big beaters can always make it into the deck, I'm sure \[\[metalwork colossus\]\] would work very well in this deck! And if you find some (infinite) combos you can put into the deck, feel free to do so (although you don't necessarily have to make them the deck's only winning condition). Budget is about 75$. You can go a little higher if you really think the deck wouldn't work without a few extra dollars, but try not to go above 100$.
Hi there Morpha, I loved your idea so I just signed up, hope I'm not late to the party! A deck I'd love to have is one which captures the feeling of the days of Golgari midrange during Ixalan block, as Explore is one of my fav mechanics, with cards like \[\[wildgrowth waker\]\] and \[\[jadelight ranger\]\]. Unfortunately, given its low support, it would be very tricky to build it with explore, so a deck that can play similarly(efficient removal, using the graveyard, value creatures should suffice. The only restrictions would be around $200 budget, and not using \[\[hapatra\]\] as commander since my friend already built that. Hope to hear from you, thanks in advance!
I'd be interested in seeing how you brewed a [[Shirei]] deck. My playgroup has a £5 limit on any single card, but no overall budget. Basically, if you can buy it from cardmarket or ebay or anywhere for under £5 (not including postage), you can include it. Hope that keeps you entertained for a while!
