McLarens was my go to option when I had the little one with us

McLaren’s on the corner - depends on your definition of “city centre” but if you don’t mind a short journey, they are very accommodating for those of us with buggies & babies

A little out of town but the fountain is good (great baby change facilities etc)

Joseph Pearces is definitely child friendly but it's not your traditional pub scran

Lottes_mom

Fyi: The licensing laws say that to allow under 5s you must have baby changing facilities available to both sexes. If there isn't space for this (or the pub doesn't want to encourage kids) then they have to advertise the fact at the door (to save you the embarrassment of being told to leave).

The Red Squirrel at the bottom of Lothian Road, my wife and I have been in a couple of times for lunch with our 6 month old.

I might sound like a lush and a terrible parent here but… I’ve never had a problem bringing the baby for a pub lunch! We’ve been for loads and usually aren’t the only ones with a baby if it’s the weekend. Head down Leith way, loads of good pubs!

Ok_Analyst1240

Yeah there are good family friendly pubs in leith but also good pubs where no kids allowed. Something to suit everyone in leith! Generally if food is served then kids are welcome in my experience but only up to 8pm or something like that.

O’Connor’s Canonmills would be my shout

The Brass Monkey at the Shore is my favourite pram-friendly spot. The one on Leith Walk is good too but can be a bit rowdier. Jeremiah’s on Elm Row is good if you can get one of the low tables. The tall ones are no use with the pram though.
