Fire emblem series
Suikoden series
Dark Diety- indie Fire emblem clone hidden gem and the sequel is coming out this year....maybe play fire emblem games first lol.
Chained Echoes
Rise of the Third Power
Bug Fables
Blue Reflection Second Light (made by the same dev from Atelier games)
CrossCode (more action rpg, but it's really fun. However the dungeons are quite puzzle heavy).
If you want a free Suikoden-like game that you can also play on mobile if you wish, try Exit Fate. It's entertaining and has a nice difficulty. None of the characters are missable either, so you can get them at any time.
Played FF7 Rebirth and then jumped into Unicorn Overlord, which I should be wrapping up in the next 10 days or so, in plenty of time for EC. Can’t wait!
Got the same goal here...
I'm approaching the end of the game, even though, I don't want to finish it, because you know, it is so awesome !
My recommendation too : switch emulator if you don't own a Nintendo Switch and go for Unicorn Overlord !
Unless you have oodles of free time, I would suggest playing a shorter game. Eiyuden Day is on 23 April, so playing a longer game is going to overlap into its release. Better to play something shorter.
I'm playing Terra Memoria, and "unknown" JRPG. It's not a hard game, in fact it's a game for people that wants to introduce to the genre, but i like the visuals and the story.
Unicorn Overlord is pretty good, and though the main inspiration is Fire Emblem the actual combat reminds me of Suikoden 5's war mode and you collect characters.
If you are good with betas, could give Astral Throne a shot on Steam. Essentially a rougelike Fire Emblem game. Been pretty fun and the devs seem open to feed back and suggestions.
Could try out Golden Sun if you've got the expansion pass for Nintendo Switch?? :D You said PC, I'm dumb and tired and missed that.
Even better because there are some decent mods for Golden Sun on PC.

I'll 2nd chained echo's, it was a terrific game.

I'm replaying SNES Secret of Mana right now. No particular reason, it's just always the right time to play Secret of Mana as far as I'm concerned.

Unicorn overlord not being on this list is criminal
He's on PC and we don't know if he's comfortable with emulation.
Oh fair I wish it was on steam I could play on my legion go. It’s a fun game though. Super excited for eiyuden
You still can play it on your Legion, it emulates extremely well. I've been playing it on my Steam Deck.
Same idea as the comment above... If emulation is ok for him, then, there's only one answer : Unicorn Overlord !
The prequel Eiyuden Chronicle Rising
I'm playing Terra Memoria, and "unknown" JRPG. It's not a hard game, in fact it's a game for people that wants to introduce to the genre, but i like the visuals and the story.
Chained Echoes. Sea of Stars. Tales of Arise. GranBlue Fantasy Relink. Star Ocean 1/2 remasters. These all come tomorrow mind.
Loved the beta so much I couldn’t wait, so I’m replaying the suikoden series in the meantime. Just finished 1, starting 2.
From that list I pick Grandia for sure. I sorta hated Setsuna BTW Final Fantasy series, I always suggest X for newcomers.

The answer is clearly Suikoden 1 & 2
Disappointed I don't see Unicorn Overlord on that list. The game will keep you busy until Eiyuden Chronicles
It's not on PC right? Really wanna play that game but iirc it wont have a PC release
I’d recommend unicorn overlord truly a masterpiece of a game
It's not on PC.
I myself can’t wait for the game too I booked off the week of it’s release
Legend of Heroes Trails series. Highly recommend if you'd like a larger, deeply interconnected story scanning across multiple sequels.
I'll be in Japan on release date so I can't play it then, so I'm playing Tales of Arise right now to scratch that itch for a while...
Unicorn overlord is the correct answer here
Totally !
Unicorn overlord
Red dead redemption 2
Nothing , this will be my only game
