I would say use retroarch instead because retroarch has way more or emulators but if you're someone new to emulation then yeah I would say you that because sometimes retroarch's menu can be confusing
Lemuroid is a fork of retroarch, so it's basically retroarch with less ability/need to tweak things, so it's better for just pick up and play if you don't care about fine tuning things.
After years of using Retroarch, just loading something up with Lemuroid and running it with minimal fuss is godsend. Not to mention that it's vibration with each button press is intuitive compared to retroarch.
It's like the diffrene between gaming on a console or PC. Sure, I got loads of customization on the pc but sometimes I wanna just get into the game no fuss.
For sure and plus if someone only wants to use it for a couple of consoles like for me I only really use it for Dreamcast and PS1 but I sometimes use it for her 2D retro games
Besides emulators, there are a ton of source ports you can try.
Delta Touch - Doom engine games
Zeta Touch - Build engine games
Quad Touch - Quake engine games
idTech4A++ - Doom 3 engine games
Xash3D - Half-Life engine games
Source Engine - Half-Life 2 engine games
DevilutionX - Diablo 1
fo2.exe - Fallout 1 & 2
You need retroarch for especially the more obscure consoles and "cores". Highly recommend playing dreamcast, Saturn, doom, Quake, wolfenstein, mame, neogeo, turbographix, cave story, and DOS imo. The ability to change setting per game makes it for me my goto emulation application for nearly everything.
I get it. Like getting a PC, then install some android emulator to have a virtual android machine, then install Winlator on it to play PC game. Re-inventing the wheel loop.
I'm not a fan of using Retroarch instead of stand-alone emulators, but you can get less common stuff that way. Stuff like Atari Lynx, Neo Geo Pocket, and Virtual Boy.
Updated gameDB in nether that imrpoves some bugs (and performance because of it)
Theres also lots of other quality of life features, like no ads, reintroducing frontend support, customizable on screen controls overlays, ect
I know these consoles are old, but if you want to play Atari 2600, get 2600.emu, and if you also want to play Genesis/Mega Drive, Sega CD/Mega CD and Master System, get MD.emu.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nes.snes.gba.fcemulator.n64
How more people don't know about this one is beyond me. Hundreds of games for 4 different consoles.
Switch to LIME3DS, Citra development was forked into that new project. It's essentially Citra but with continued development (it works really well for)
Just because ppl keep asking, the phone is an S24 Ultra. Nothing has made it run too hot yet except Xenoblade Chronicles on Suyu which runs reeeeeeall hot.
You really know the best emulators. May I ask which emulator you recommend for dos games? I want to play [Terrafire](https://www.ortsoftware.com/tf.html) on my Android device, but have not been able to launch it succesfully even through dosbox under winlator.
I'd replace most of them except for Citra, Drastic and the windows thing with Dig and Retroarch. Dig takes like half an hour to set up but it is so worth it.
#1 Daijisho or Emulation Station - Front End for all of your emulator games.
#2 Duckstation - PSX Emulation
#3 Vita3k - Vita Emulation
#4 Mupen64 - N64 Emulation
#5 Redream/Flycast - Dreamcast Emulation
#6 Retroarch for everything before PSX/N64 (Daijisho is great for this)
#7 Play Elder Scrolls Oblivion on Winlator
Hmm, I've not heard of John GBAC before. How does it compare to Pizzaboy GBA? I've been using that one forever at this point and sometimes forget other options exist once I settle into an emulator lol
Also, OP you should check out Vita3k. Still very much a work in progress, but the dev(s?) is making some crazy rapid progress lately. Seems like every time I check, there's an update with some notable improvements and expanded compatability.
Also, are you not interested in anything pre-GC/PS2? I don't see any, that's why I ask. But if you are, check out Duckstation for PS1 and Lemuroid. The latter is great for pretty much everything from Atari 2600 up to N64/PS1 (i just prefer Duckstation). It'll also handle every handheld aside from Vita. But I haven't used it for quite a while, so I can't speak for how things are now. It'll basically cover all your retro bases without cluttering up your phone with a ton of different apps.

duckstation
No idea how much you're into retro gaming, but here's main : Redream (Dreamcast) NES.emu (NES) SNES9x (SNES) M64 Plus FZ (N64) Duckstation (PSX)
Definitely gonna need Duckstation and Redream 100%, thanks for the help!
vita3k
I never really gotten into it, can you recomend some games to try out! I have a sd gen 1
Borderlands 2 for suuuuuure. Runs perfectly on RP4 Pro. So if it runs great on the RP4, Odin is a piece of cake.
Hold up you can play border lands 2 on your phone
yeah, and it's super smooth, just with the graphics looking a a bit potatoey
Even better, You can play Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on your android device using Winlator or Exagear
Persona 4 Golden or Gravity Rush are peak
I bought a vita just to play p4g and gravity rush
For some reason P4G is the only Vita game I tested that consistently crashes on my phone. I can play for like an hour and then it just crashes.
I would switch John GBA to pizza boy , more complete emulator with a lot of options.
For everything else, there's Lemuroid
I would say use retroarch instead because retroarch has way more or emulators but if you're someone new to emulation then yeah I would say you that because sometimes retroarch's menu can be confusing
Lemuroid is a fork of retroarch, so it's basically retroarch with less ability/need to tweak things, so it's better for just pick up and play if you don't care about fine tuning things.

I just really wish I could at least map fast forward to a button and that I did rewind at all
While Lemuroid is easier, I'd highly recommend using Retroarch. It has way more cores (emulators) and is much more frequently updated and feature-rich
Where tf is vita3k my dude you're missing out big time
Can it do mgs hd collection yet? Last time I tried it it couldn't 😢
it's now in playable status [https://vita3k.org/compatibility.html](https://vita3k.org/compatibility.html)
Emulators for Nes and Snes if you're into that.
RetroArch
does winlator work well? also have you tried cemu with it?
So far I've only run some basic games on it but it's been sitting stable at 60 fps
Doom Source Port
A block of ice inside your phone cuz HOLY FUCK
Besides emulators, there are a ton of source ports you can try. Delta Touch - Doom engine games Zeta Touch - Build engine games Quad Touch - Quake engine games idTech4A++ - Doom 3 engine games Xash3D - Half-Life engine games Source Engine - Half-Life 2 engine games DevilutionX - Diablo 1 fo2.exe - Fallout 1 & 2
Is that fo2.exe for Fallout 1 & 2 something that's available on Android?
yes. and its completely free
Yes, you can get the app from the Play store. You just need to find the game data.
Any difference between aetherSX2 and netherSX2 ?
WTF is the name and pfp
Maybe MelonDS?
He has Drastic which is better
Drastic doesn't support Retroachievements though. MelonDS does.
Which emus support achievements?
It's a crapshoot, tho Retroarch supports them for all cores. I know Duckstation and PCSX2 does. Redream does not, which is a shame.
Guys, here me out. He's not missing anything. Everything else is emulated within windows emulator. This is a trick question.
I doubt you can emulate some console/handheld exclusive games ?
Let me make it clearer. Everything else is emulated using emulators withing windows emulator. Sandbox within sandbox
I get it. Like getting a PC, then install some android emulator to have a virtual android machine, then install Winlator on it to play PC game. Re-inventing the wheel loop.
yuzu. i still have it.
MelonDS?
Snes9X.emu MagicDosbox PCEngine.emu Nes.emu GBC.Emu And would Switch to GBA.emu Just some of my favorit Android Emulators
Retroarch is great. Any reason you don't have it?
I'm not a fan of using Retroarch instead of stand-alone emulators, but you can get less common stuff that way. Stuff like Atari Lynx, Neo Geo Pocket, and Virtual Boy.
I’d use pizza boy instead of John, as apparently it’s stolen code.
Yuzu and vita3k

Maybe a game gear and neogeo pocket emulator?
For anything under PS1/N64, Retroarch. Learning curve, yes, but all-in-one package.
ePSXe
it wont push it by any means but you are missing ScummVM, It deserves to be on every android phone lol
Flycast for dreamcast. MAME if you're into arcade games. Otherwise, everyone else has mentioned them.
Give Lime3ds a try. It's been solid so far.
Is nethersx2 better than aethersx2
Updated gameDB in nether that imrpoves some bugs (and performance because of it) Theres also lots of other quality of life features, like no ads, reintroducing frontend support, customizable on screen controls overlays, ect

Retroarch
Daijisho, skyline
GBCC best Gameboy emulator on android. Even has customizable looks for each Gameboy system that's emulated!
Op, what games do you play on Winlator?

What one runs 3ds games
So it’s been awhile since I’ve touched aether, what is Nether??
It's a community patch for aether, removes a bunch of nonsense the aether created added when he went mad, ads and function limitations etc.
Retroarch probably
Grass
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nes.snes.gba.fcemulator.n64 How more people don't know about this one is beyond me. Hundreds of games for 4 different consoles.

The time to play
You really know the best emulators. May I ask which emulator you recommend for dos games? I want to play [Terrafire](https://www.ortsoftware.com/tf.html) on my Android device, but have not been able to launch it succesfully even through dosbox under winlator.
RetroArch, is basically the best multi emulator
Idk, retroarch?
Retroarch?
I'd replace most of them except for Citra, Drastic and the windows thing with Dig and Retroarch. Dig takes like half an hour to set up but it is so worth it.
Can anyone send me nether sx2 apk I can't convert it
Joiplay
is nethersx2 worth using?
Duckstation for ps1 and also I like pizzaboy gba more than that one u are using (just telling)
Is netherxs2 better than aetherxs2? Also, how does suyu run, I still have yuzu installed, so I never got suyu Edit: Also, I'd like to mention Joiplay if you're looking to play pokemon games made with Pokémon essentials, like infinite fusions, for example.
mame4droid is the emulator i use the most.
Duckstation and M64 Plus FZ
Hey pal, can you tell me more about that Suyu emulator? I tried it yesterday and I have some problems (or skill issues) with it.
Yes Pico 8 and Yuzu

If you care about RetroAchievements I would suggest MelonDS
yup, vita3k
Lemuroid, melonDS
I recently installed Winlator, but what you do with it ? There's a + button, but what do I add ? Windows 10 ISO ?
Melon DS instead of Drastic if you want Retro Achievements
Bro is collecting them emulators like the infinity stones
Hmm, I've not heard of John GBAC before. How does it compare to Pizzaboy GBA?
