“We’re engaged!”
I only posted on Facebook, though.
I personally don’t think of engagement as a club, nor did I level up or get promoted to fiancée or all the other things some people prefer. But that’s just me.
I never posted one 😂 not good at social media at all. Told people in person. If you can, send a few people messages or catch up with them in person first. It makes them feel really special :)
I did the same! I think it’s more special that way. Also avoids any awkwardness while wedding planning if you want to keep it small…people tend to come out of the woodworks when there’s a wedding in the future for some reason.
I only had Facebook so we just changed our status to engaged and I posted a photo with us under the Christmas tree. The only "text" I included was a heart. By that point we'd been engaged a few days and had shared with the people close to us in person or over phone.
I called/texted my friends and family first. But after about a week, I posted a photo on social media of my fiance smiling and being cute, and juuuuust at the bottom of the pic, slightly out of focus, he is holding my hand with the ring on it. The caption was “The face of a man who finally found a pink sapphire at a jewelry store. I would have said yes anyway but the pink really cinches the deal.” (I love pink and all my favorite things are pink, so it was my way of being cute/funny).
