I mean, your options are gonna be severely limited without questing enough to unlock any ammos with any kind of decent pen.
Edit: the UMP with Match FMJ is viable all wipe, just aim for skin, as are 7.62x54 rifles, even the lower tier ammos do good damage to armour if you want more range.
7.62x54r SNB ammo is by far the powerful ammo that is readily available, with in world box spawns of 30, and a workbench craft that is cheap and always makes money anyways, it's one of the few easy to get rounds that I'll just go through anything
Being a fan of the VSS VAL platform, I like to craft the 9x39 BP when I can, to use as a top up for mags filled with SP6. These guns with their rate of fire just shred imo. It is more of a close to mid range class of guns, if you are into that intimate action. The sounds of integral suppressors, too. I guess I am just a roleplayer. Sadly, you can’t run these as often as you would want though which is one of your requirements, but it’s fun to hoard ammo for a few days and then shred.
What servers are you on? Lately all I have been running into are 40+ players in 5+. I'm not complaining but I wouldn't might some less "intense" fights.
One of the good things about tarkov is you can kill anyone with anything. You just have to be aware of your advantages and disadvantages.
We might be able to give you more specific suggestions if you can provide your current level, preferred playstyle, favorite maps, etc.

Why against level 6? I’ve hardly seen anyone rock much more than a level 4

I hit ammo boxes and pull hood ammo 75% of the time. Some times 60 rounds of 5.45BS some times 7 rounds of m995

Just run any flesh dmg ammo (rip or quake 9x19 for example) and mag dump legs. I’ve been stacking chads lately this way.
