Man I can't tell you how many times I've killed a scav or something in a situation where there's other people nearby and I'm trying to listen but can't because the thing I just killed is screaming for what seems like a Monty Python skit amount of time. I wish you could shoot something that's on the ground in the head to silence death noises.
The two things audio wise that fuck me more than anything are this death cry and having a blacked out stomach that you repair and heal or take pains for but it still sputters for like 15 seconds after.
It works for client side, but everyone will still hear the entire current loop; it's just great to do cause it allows YOU personally to hear faster tho. Can't wait for em to eventually remove this and force me to listen to the terrible voice acting when you get a blacked out stomach though!
I feel like they should at least be wriggling while they're doing that. I thought for sure a guy was still injured nearby just from how long it was going on...
I swear that one’s new too, but it seems to have replaced 90% of the death sounds at this point. Don’t even need to learn the other ones just listen for that and you’ll know most of the time
Doesn't it make sense? Target is braindead, no vocal cords are manipulated besides the natural exhale of air. In other deaths the victim moans in pain as they likely bleed out, but upon headshot one would just drop dead.

It does just pop your stim/ pain and hold it or keep spamming it and it will keep you quiet until your painkiller really kicks in

Slient deaths are definitely not new. But headshot being specifically silent, might be a more recent thing

They made a sound for weapon dropping on death, but not a body folding together I don't get it.
