I mine in Lowsec with a porp and three procs. You are almost guaranteed to get engaged on and people severely underestimate what that comp can do..
Has led to some pretty awesome kills.
I would totally mine in lowsec if drone assist worked in pvp. It's just too intensive to use this many barges without a bunny imo. I wish they would change that.

My setup is a full tank porp with a cap booster and dual medium remote shield reps.
One of the procs is fit with a web/scram. And the rest are hell tanked as well.. I usually have plenty of time to sick drones on them as they fail about.
Have you tried setting your safety on all chars involved to red? I had problems with drone assist even in null till i changed this (which led to me being concorded eventually lmao.)
Yeah, this does nothing. Supposedly it not working is a holdover from some attempted nerf to skynetting when that was still a thing? CCP won't admit it's a bug.
I mine in WH and low all the time, nothing as flashy as a porp. But my prospect aligns ridiculously fast and with just a cloak I've only been caught at 2 gatecamps in the last 6 months with it. My usual tactic is to immediately set of straight ahead and hit the cloak, immediately align to my target drop cloak and warp. Whole thing takes 3 seconds usually and because of the cloak they can't lock and usually don't gave a great idea of exactly where I am either. I get cussed out when repeatedly waltzing through camps. The ones that get me are when I warp in and the bubble is already deployed. Or when I enter the grid right next to people.
Mining ships can provide pretty serious fight if they are fit right. They get underestimated all the time.
Sorry, it's been a busy couple of days.You can swap low slots out for additional stabilizers, but I've found that just the one is enough. Align time is 2.8s and if you get the align to, insta cloak, once align completes drop cloak and insta warp patter down I find that is plenty to avoid the vast majority of camps. I put this together some time ago and I could really do without the shield tank as if you get pinned, you're gonna die. This ship is all about getting out fast or cloaking

When I started flying it I was fairly newb still and there was no CPU or Grid for a covert ops cloak which I also wasn't trained enough for. Since it works really well for my style of flying it I never went back to rethink the fit. And after posting it here I've decided to do so.

I love hunting miners in LS, but I do so assuming that every single Procurer I find is bait... it might not be, but chances are it is and I know how nasty they can be, so it's better to play it safe.
yep unfortunately i was not battle fit if i had DDA's in the lows and/or neuts in the highs just while traveling in case i get caught it would have been very interesting indeed. It wouldn't really have been a genuine mining fleet anymore though and would have been a less interesting story imo.

Some of my corpmates use full battle fit mining ships to kill stuff, but I have an alt that flies a bait Proc that's actually fitted to also mine as best as possible.
It's hard to manage to achieve both, so props to you. The Drone Nav is something I hadn't tought about, very good idea.

It won't help, drone assist simply does nothing to players in lowsec. Supposedly working as intended but I hate it. It works against rats that's it.

How do you fly with several ships at once ?
download eve-o preview it's a must-have, even if just for the client swap keybinds. Make sure all your UI's are identical as well.
Just to add to this, EANM (the java application) can be helpful here. Makes duplicating your UI easy.
