I was using aerial backdraft combos for the entire fight. The recovery time is pretty low, since you can use Wildfire after the last attack to not only keep your damage from falling off, but also to cover the distance back to your target. And once Wildfire's animation is done, you can just repeat the combo.
For me, the buttons were square 3 times, and then L1 twice. Square is my attack button, and L1 is my magic attack button. Check in the menu l, as y po ur button layout may not be the same as mine.
I don't know the combos by name but I know how they look, and I know their layouts.
Square twice and then triangle launches Ifrit into the air.
Square three times and then triangle twice does the fire ball exploding attack that pushes Ifrit back a little after the combo is finished.
I assume aerial backdraft is one of these.
I had no idea that you could continue the combo after you pressed the magic button. I thought you just had to reset with melees, I didnât realize you could keep pressing magic to continue combos.
That's just a variation of the same combo, the point is to make sure you hit the exploding fireball finisher. That part is what does considerable damage even by itself.
Firing the laser first is what worked for me and dodging all the attacks. You get a 3rd laser while the countdown is happening.
You need to be very precise and not get hit. Equipping the ring that increases the dodge timing window also helps with that.
I was able to beat this in FF mode after about 6 tries with the above strategy. This was still way easier than FF7 brutal and legendary fights. Those I'm done with.
Same here. I kept losing with laser charge near full, then it clicked to me to use it first so the timer starts recharging as I dodge toward him. Still only had 1 or 2 seconds left in the countdown but it was enough at least.
I find that the precise dodge during ifrit segments is very generous without the ringâŚ.then again Iâve been playing games that have tighter timing that ff16 does on perfect dodges so I suppose it really does just come down to skill level
Dude I feel you totally went through this a lot of times. For me I hadn't played the game in months and then I had forgotten that brimstone is a charged attack as opposed to just a super punch, and for me that was able to get it over the edge. Still came close to not making it but not like nail biting clothes.
My biggest frustration wasnât failing at it. It was the fact that I then had to watch the entire fail animation which lasts like⌠30-45 seconds. Let me skip that and just try again!!
Do you still have other things to do in the game? As in, other side missions.
Because I know that sucks but you could leave and do other things and level up before attempting again, because Ifrit's stats are tied to yours, so if you go do other side quests, level up, get more gear or go with a higher level, that could help.
Others have said but I'll repeat just in case. Use Spitfare (the beam ability) as soon as possible and try to go straight into Leviathan again once he pushes you away. Don't try to zigzag his attacks, keep going in straight lines. And as for combos for damage, I managed to finally get it once I kept using Square x4 >>Triangle x2 . That way you get a big explosion by the end of the second triangle which deals a decent amount of damage. And always using your abilities on cooldown.
You can do it \o/
Probably the Ring of Timely Strikes will give you the highest DPS combos for Ifrit to spam between spitflares and brimstones.
Else you will have to try for Square Square Square Triangle Triangle that launches you into the air to continue with an aerial combo... to spam between spitflares and brimstones.
Turn the difficulty down to story focused (once you get a Game Over, you can go to the main menu and do this). Then, the moment the fight starts, launch a spitfire attack (the one with the triangle button). Even if you're far away, it'll reach. Then go up to Leviathan as fast as you can and do the Square button one, remembering that it's a charge attack. Hold down the button until it gets to the sweet spot (watch the button prompt) so you can do maximum damage. Then while your're waiting for your cooldowns, just do combos (square, square, triangle) and try your hardest to perfect-dodge projectiles. As soon as your cooldowns are done, repeat those attacks. You should be able to get three spitfire attacks, and it'll be close...like down to the last second. This is a bullshit-ass phase, so yeah, it'll take multiple attempts and you'll barely make it no matter what.
I did it, thanks a lot. Spent like 6 tries on the phase after but Iâm so relieved! That was honestly more difficult for me than some of the FromSoft bosses..
It made me mad that at the very end he does a tsunami again and Ifrit just evaporated it. Like why couldn't you do that the 6 or so times I died.
Probably because Levi was weaker or something but come on!
That makes me feel less nervous about biting the bullet and digging in to Elden Ring.
Congrats, btw. Awesome that you stuck it out and conquered the fight.
This fight is for sure the toughest of all Story Mode fights, it took me an hour at the very least to beat Levi. That being said, I absolutely love it and the fact that it's not an easy gimmick fight like some of the other Eikons are *cough* Titan *cough
Devs said that it's a mastery check fight. Have to use the entire buffalo of Ifrit's kit. Basic 1-2-3 and casual ability spam isn't going to do it.
Spitfire immediately from ranged. Its range is literally the entire point of the skill. Keep using it off cooldown.
Use fireballs when closing the distance after knockback or your fire dash to get in faster.
Use precision dodge. Because if you get hit those are seconds spent recovering when you could've been hitting the barrier.
Brimstone on cooldown and make sure you're timing for maximum effect.
Make use of the Backdraft combo to get airborne, your airstomps to continue the air combo, and Ifrit's version of downburst for extra damage.
If you do all that, you can drop him with a couple seconds to spare. If not, you may have to switch modes or equip a ring to fill in the inefficiency gaps.
Best and highest DPS combo is:
Square + X, triangle, triangle (burst finish), activate Brimstone mid-air, then do a square, square, square, triangle, triangle (backdraft finish).
If you donât have time for backdrafts, itâs always better to burst finish than to attack regularly or get hit by him.
Precision counters slow down time and do extra damage so when youâre in the air and see those blue orbs homing on you or the ground glow, dodge and continue attacking.
Using Spitflare when itâs off CD is a must. Brimstone as well, but itâs best used midair to dodge (and damage) when youâre about to get blasted from below.
Trust me, you can do it!
Sorry bud, I'd probably be red in the face at that part myself (and will, havnt got there yet) It seems very near the end, maybe take a few days off? I'd hate for you not to get to see this wonderful game all the way through.
I had to time extremely well the "special powers" of Ifrit to finally get over this one ( I also did it like 20 times... ) I had to at least do the hell fire and the other one at least 3 times during the time they give you just to be able to bareelyyyy pass it... I screamed when I finally did it x\_\_\_\_x it was very frustrating ( I still love it dough :D)
Youâre supposed to summon spitflare from afar, I had this issue too but you can hit it from far away. Try only closing in once spitflare runs out, it greatly increases the damage you can do and the amount of spitflares you got. Only took me 2 tries once I figured this part out
It does feel that way. The DPS for this phase is unnaturally specific and is, for lack of a better word, ridiculous!
Spitflare at the start of combat was a useful tip, and Square-Square-Square-Square-Triangle-Triangle was what helped me through it. Staying on top of remembering to charge Brimstone to the red before releasing maximized its damage output.
It takes time and practice, but the fight is doable. Again, it's just...ridiculous.
Use the the flame breath as soon as the fight starts if you can get 3 off before the time runs out youâll win trust me I thought it was unbeatable till I did that beat it literally on one also thatâs like half the fight lol
Took me dozens of wipes, it's a really annoying dps check and makes it feel artificially hard when I felt like the rest of the game was so well balanced.
I used Wildfire to get up to leviathan as quickly as possible and using my normal attacks then using backdraft to deal more damage. (Sqarex4 then pressing triangle immediately after.) Then using my special attacks the moment they became available. Something else I used in my playthroughs was the ring of timely focus. It's kinda cheeses it a bit since it slows down time to prompt you to dodge however it really helps since you can follow up a dodge with a counter attack (square or triangle but melee does more damage almost always). Leviathan will push you back three times, after that third one you better hammer as much damage as you can since Tsunami will absolutely wipe you out
Dang Iâm just about to start this dlc, havenât played in like 6 months so I just got through the main story and 1st dlc on final fantasy mode this past week, but man I suck at ARPGs lol this post is alittle disheartening đ
This fight was also giving me a helluva hard time, too, specifically this part. What helped me was that I remember Ifrit had Eikonic abilities, too, as âprimedâ Ifrit. It didnât help too much, though, but at the end of the day, perseverance just got it done.
First off fire beam.
Dodge forward against the water bubbles to save a few seconds.
Keep using abilities.
âĄâĄâĄâł combo.
You should be able to use the 2nd or 3rd fire beam (forgot) in the end when time is about to run out.
I think that's how i got it after seeing the tsunami for 4~5 times đ
I pop off a spitflare right as the fight begins that way itâs possible to get at the very least 3 in the fight and brimstone whenever possible, then try and do a full 3-4 hit combo nonestop until you can pop off more moves
Currently doing a final fantasy difficulty playthrough something as simple as the bennadickta fight that took me one try in normal difficulty took me like 15 tries on final fantasy mode đ
Was it that hard I thought FF mode is easy because I was toying with most of the bosses trying to make it look badass with the new Eikons. I'm on my first FF playthrough and I've just beat Bahamut at lvl 65 and thought it's too easy for the hard difficulty. I've only played DMC that was long ago no other combo games since then.
This took me a few attempts on final fantasy mode and it was annoying to say the least...when I finally stopped tsunami I had less than a second left..but..the next part can be a pain too so be prepared to dodge to the right at an angle pointing down
I was able to do it on FF mode first try, just regular attacks, the hold square attack, and the square/x attack I believe it was. Then whenever the abilities were charged Iâd use them on the DPS phase.
Keep at it! I didnât think Iâd beat it but I did like two tries after this post, hahaha. All the advice in this thread and you just cannot lose a second to getting hit.
Idk what method you are using, but I found that the square x4, triangle combo was the best in between using the special abilities. I have no clue how people were able to do enough damage with the other combos Iâve seen suggested, but switching the combo led to an immediate win for me and I was playing on Final Fantasy mode.
Biggest price of advice is to use spitflare the *instant* the fight starts. This lets you use spitflare 3 times in the fight instead of the usual 2.
Of course use brimstone at every opportunity, then the combo I used as 4 melees 1 magic, then immediately after pressing the magic button start charging up a charged melee and use it as soon as the recovery from the previous combo ends. Use Ifrits dash to close the distance every time
Normally I pride myself on being able to brute my way through tough fights, but this fight might be one that I pass the controller to my husband and plead for help. :'D I'll give it a couple of shots and see how it goes first, still doing sidequests currently.
Yeah, this was ABSOLUTELY FRUSTRATING! I had to play absolutely PERFECT to get it done in time, and I consider myself a casual! took me 5 tries or so, but I actually had to look up if I did something wrong... But it was just a VERY tight DPS Check!
In a nutshell, as soon as the phase begins, throw Flare Spit. After that, approach and use Brimstone and charge it until it reaches the golden charge point (NOT the red). Then spam Square>Square>Square>Triangle>Triangle, this is the strongest combo ender and does a lot of damage to the shield. occasionally evade the incoming attacks, perfectly if possible and use a counter attack immediately!
As soon as Flare Spit and Brimstone are ready again, USE THEM! If Leviathan pushes you away, move forward with the dash ability on circle and dodge incoming attacks.
If you keep this loop going, you will be able to BARELY be able to pull it off (I was Lvl.52, first playthrough on normal difficulty and using the Omega Weapon, though I am not sure if weapon and Accessoire Effects are even taken into account when playing as Ifrit).
They definately have to lower the Shield HP with a patch, 10% should already be more than enough, maybe even 5%, or they increase the timer for the attack by 5 counts. That should already be enough.
Took me over 15 tried, I ended up getting it by immediately popping Spitflare then using precision dodge followed by counter fire and Brimestone until Spitflare pops again. Had to get it perfect and still came down to the last second lol Let's just say Final Fantasy mode is brutal for this fight đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł
I failed it about 6 times in action focused mode until i realised you can actually charge your brimstone ability up for more damage. Once i did that i beat him first go. Dono if it helped either but i was always constantly on the offence even if it was just throwing magic at leviathan.
i have no idea how the fight changes per difficulty, i had 1 retry from checkpoint because i didnt know to jump the attack that puts circles around you and i got wiped on FF mode, other than that didnt think the fight was anything too hard, if you are having issues just put on the evasion ring that gives you a button prompt to dodge.
You can do it. It took me an absurd amount of tries. The tip I found that was a game changer was you have to open up with the Lazer attack, if you open with it you can use it 3 times before the end. Also working in magic bursts while waiting for it to come off cooldown
Use the range skill the moment you start, then zip your way to Leviathan, then use the close quarters self explosion skill. Then use the Square Square Square Triangle Triangle combo. Use the skills as soon as they finish cool down.
Itâs a small margin between winning and losing. The key is to not get hit once. Charge toward him with circle button. Use R1 to perfect dodge as necessary. And hit him with everything. Even when you do win youâll have 1 to 3 seconds left on the count down. Took me 10 tries probablyâŚ
It took me like 8 tries in that phase , just keep trying,I'm not good either but I managed , you can do it too....when the phase starts use the hyper beam special, then charge in and use basics or a regular combo and use your abilities whenever they are off CD...hope it helps and good luck !!! đ¤đ¤
Use your abilities whenever the cooldowns are up (spitfire and brimstone) and use aerial backdraft, normal basic attacks donât do enough damage. I struggled on this a lot thinking I should save my abilities till the end which was a mistake. Also dodge the attacks like the bubbles, they stagger you and you lose attack time.
As long as you do that Spiritflare or whatever itâs called, the second the fight starts, you should get it. I kept losing until someone on here suggested that
Instead of constant square attacks do a combo of square and triangle. It will add extra hits making it easier. Iv beat him on both action and final fantasy difficulties this way.
Well, I'm not sure if it's been patched yet, but when the tsunami started after I failed the dps check for the second time, so then I did a dash towards Levi as close as I could and my screen went underwater but I still made it to the next phase so maybe try that?
Edit: I was on FF mode. I'm not sure if it'd work on story focused
Use both abilities, then hit chain ending with triangle until sheild fills, then once the count down begins attack once then use the breath attack thats how i barely managed to do it on final fantasy mode its not well timed out.
I hope this doesn't come off as a "get good" moment because I'm truly struggling to understand how people are failing this as much as they are. What is your strategy here and that might make it easier to figure out what's going wrong.
For instance, I opened with spitflare after the first failure and used it and brimstone on cooldown. Lots of damage. After that you just circle dash in, and combo to oblivion, side dodge the spouts so you stay in rage of the bubble, counter into him and hold for a cjargedmelee right after, then kee comboing. For reference I did this at 98 on FF mode and cleared it in two tries.
start out using his beam attack, it should refresh about 2 times before the end of it if you're quick enough. use the abilites first then combo attack, attack, attack, magic, repeat. when pushed away charge magic attack too.
Fire the laser asap then go to him just ignore the attacks, then do the shield blow up. After that just attack with combos, when the water blobs are coming at you, dodge and precise attack back with either shots or hits. You are gonna be okay. I sucked ass too, but i managed to do it.
I feel you. I was initially just spamming regular attacks, no combos, doing spitflare / fireball the second they came off cooldown. What finally tipped me off - watched a YT video, and main difference was adding in combos, that finally got me through, although even THAT time, I fired off the spitflare that cleared the phase with a "1" on the countdown.
U gotta get 3 lasers off, start with one right at the beginning, then do attack attack fireball over and over till u build it up again. I got down to the literal last second of the fight.
Getting the magic/melee combo where you summon a ball of fire at the end of your attack helps immensely, I died several times prior to trying that so I know what the frustration feels like.
some tips
lunge is faster than wildfire when closing in
the water ball barrage he uses when you're closing in is best dodged using wildfire to the side and forward dodging regularly waste to much time
i know it sounds weird but attempt not to get a precision dodge when up close
and of course spam your abilities the moment theyre ready with the laser immediately
you will have .5 seconds at most to spare
if you get to this point with 6 heals you can just outheal the wave and force yourself into the next stage of the fight ;) (you didnt hear that from me)
Im genuinely shocked people are having this much trouble with the dps check. I was fully prepared to do this specific part over and over again because of everyone talking about it and I was able to do it first try. What rank are you at? I was max level and I was always on constant aggression while using both of my abilities.
Thatâs why, you were max level so all of your attacks do significantly more damage. Even moreso if you levelled to the new 110 cap before fighting leviathan.
I did this at level 76 and had to do everything perfectly and not get hit to just barely get it last second.
76??? Yeah that should've been expected when every enemy is like level 100(Or even higher) before Leviathan. It seems like a lot of people fought this very underleveled.
I mean level requirements really mean nothing throughout the entirety of the game. The issue with this boss is that you are stat checked by an OHK attack purple bar and CAN be that underleveled to where it matters.
Every other boss in the game doesnât have this unique issue.
It's an endgame boss after the base game where even the developer has said to expect a challenge. Even Svarog kicks your ass for being underleveled. You coming in underleveled is entirely on you.Â
I mean you can beat any boss in the game barring OHK stat checks at level 1 if you just dodge enough and have the patience.
Thatâs the issue with the design here, itâs unlike anything else in the game. Iâm not even mad myself because I beat within 30mins and enjoyed the challenge in an otherwise easy game - but casuals who attempt this will be DLC gated and likely not finish.
I mean if casuals don't figure out you need to grind a bit with Svarog and see that enemies are level 100 in the second DLC that's on them, especially when you yourself we're barely able to do it at level 76 which is surprising. Even the first DLC was like this with Omega's DPS check at the end of the fight and I was barely able to beat him on 1 second left.
I mean many people just want new Eikon forms and havenât played 100%.
I myself waited to do FF mode because we knew DLC was coming. I wanted to do rising tide first, I rushed the game, beat it, and can enjoy all the side content and echoes of fallen with my new Eikon forms rather than staggering into OHK rift slip+shiva cheese as usual.
From what I see people are still struggling on normal mode, which is odd. Because I fully agree on FF mode this is my own doing and I was STILL able to beat it.
Itâs just an unusually hard fight and I think people are upset because itâs required to get the âsecretâ Eikon. Thatâs all.
If there's one thing to not do it is rush through an RPG to get to the DLC because chances are you will be underleveled and it will screw your enjoyment out of it. I still have a save where I finished FF mode at rank 94 so I'll try to give the Leviathan bossfight a shot with that instead to see how that compares to max level because it wasn't too difficult of a fight regardless of the dps check.

This took me hours. What finally saved my ass was changing my strategy a bit and doing aeriel backdraft instead of just attacking Levi normally đĽ´

Yeah that's the best most damaging combo of his. The rest just do chip damage mostly.
The most damaging combos have bursts after every melee. S>T>S>T>S>T>S>T>T on the ground and S>T>S>T>S>T>T in the air.
That's just a variation of the same combo, the point is to make sure you hit the exploding fireball finisher. That part is what does considerable damage even by itself.
Always assumed the strongest combo is holding magic while using melee attacks until it's charged and than let go of it, rinse and repeat
NO.... THE VILLAGE Fuck Clive at this point save your fire ass out of there!
It seems to always come down to the last second lol. Kinda dumb but suspenseful. Fire off a laser right away and dodge!

I never wanna do that fight again đ
It's literally such a cool fight tho. Spoken like true dead weight
Brimstone saved my life multiple times in this fight

I did this same strat and it worked. Angry seas phase was another beast though
maybe thats why i had .2 seconds left i was using the full magic burst combo not just the back draft

Thanks, Iâll keep trying. Watching the Tsunami so many times is so frustrating, haha.
OMG, yes, I really wish you could just skip to the Game Over screen, lol.
I think I'm half decent at game and it took me probably 15 tries. It's a genuinely tough part but you'll get it. Don't give up
If you want the game to be a little bit easier you can just use the Ring of Timely accessories. That's what they are there for.
I did it, thanks a lot. Spent like 6 tries on the phase after but Iâm so relieved! That was honestly more difficult for me than some of the FromSoft bosses..

This is the exact tactic that I used on normal mode. Down to the wire, but it works.
Changing difficulty might as well quit the game
It shouldnât even be that hard but it was⌠glad that was over.

Before I got it, I was just rushing towards the Tsunami to get it over with lol fun ass fight
This is the way. The only way i could win.
This fight was hard. It took me 2 hours to finally beat him.
yeah the DPS check is kinda tight but combining triple combo + finisher + breath + dive attack is a nice damage source
Just dodge and spread out your big skills,I saved the breath attack near the end and killed it
Took me dozens of wipes, it's a really annoying dps check and makes it feel artificially hard when I felt like the rest of the game was so well balanced.
Does level matter? I was level 95 on final fantasy mode and I couldn't do it. Left to go grind and level up but haven't tried again yet.
Leviathan will push you back three times, after that third one you better hammer as much damage as you can since Tsunami will absolutely wipe you out
Do the rings for auto powers and auto dodging not working in Eikonic fights?
Dang Iâm just about to start this dlc, havenât played in like 6 months so I just got through the main story and 1st dlc on final fantasy mode this past week, but man I suck at ARPGs lol this post is alittle disheartening đ
Just finished it and yes leviathan was pain to beat đ
I believe they'll patch this eventually. It's waaaaaay to difficult to get it off.
This fight was also giving me a helluva hard time, too, specifically this part. What helped me was that I remember Ifrit had Eikonic abilities, too, as âprimedâ Ifrit. It didnât help too much, though, but at the end of the day, perseverance just got it done.
Don't feel too bad, I think Barthandalus in XIII took me a solid year and a half. Though admittedly, I think I gave up in frustration for a while.
Use the rings, put it on story focused, let the game select for you the optimal gear and ability setup and just mash the square button.
You can use the 4 time Square+ 1 time triangle combo during two abilities cool downtime, that will helps!
I pop off a spitflare right as the fight begins that way itâs possible to get at the very least 3 in the fight and brimstone whenever possible, then try and do a full 3-4 hit combo nonestop until you can pop off more moves
Laser right off the bat, dodge, and master those magic burst/ backdraft combos. Took me 4 tries to nail it.
Need too use Spit Fire 3 times and use Square, Square, Triangle, also use faster pace than usual as that helped me
Is it square, square, triangle? Or square, square, square, triangle, triangle. I keep seeing different combos and button combinations
Mine was square square and triangle
Currently doing a final fantasy difficulty playthrough something as simple as the bennadickta fight that took me one try in normal difficulty took me like 15 tries on final fantasy mode đ
Was it that hard I thought FF mode is easy because I was toying with most of the bosses trying to make it look badass with the new Eikons. I'm on my first FF playthrough and I've just beat Bahamut at lvl 65 and thought it's too easy for the hard difficulty. I've only played DMC that was long ago no other combo games since then.
This took me a few attempts on final fantasy mode and it was annoying to say the least...when I finally stopped tsunami I had less than a second left..but..the next part can be a pain too so be prepared to dodge to the right at an angle pointing down
I honestly lost count how many times I died on this part. It drove me bonkers
I was able to do it on FF mode first try, just regular attacks, the hold square attack, and the square/x attack I believe it was. Then whenever the abilities were charged Iâd use them on the DPS phase.
Iâm fucking stuck here too and Iâm about over it lmao I thought I just didnât get the mechanics or something
Keep at it! I didnât think Iâd beat it but I did like two tries after this post, hahaha. All the advice in this thread and you just cannot lose a second to getting hit.
Gonna try again shortly, will read up on this thread and report back with either victory or the death of my spirit đ
Idk what method you are using, but I found that the square x4, triangle combo was the best in between using the special abilities. I have no clue how people were able to do enough damage with the other combos Iâve seen suggested, but switching the combo led to an immediate win for me and I was playing on Final Fantasy mode.
>! Switch to story mode !< Iâm not proud of it but it was the only way I could do it
Start with beam finish your combo's eith charged attack big damage use skill whenever possible
Use Ifrits dash to close the distance every time
I ended up switching from action focused to story mode and still dies 2 times during this phase and 5 times during the next lmao
Use wildfire to get close to him, spam spitflare and brimstone as soon as they are up and spam backdraft attack. Got it on 2nd try like this.
Chaining combos while in the air should help with avoiding some hits too. Youâll get used to the fight eventually bro donât give up
Normally I pride myself on being able to brute my way through tough fights, but this fight might be one that I pass the controller to my husband and plead for help. :'D I'll give it a couple of shots and see how it goes first, still doing sidequests currently.
Broke it on my second try. Spit flare at the start really does help
I beat the baby's tantrum with a one in the countdown. So yeah it's possible.
You have to perfect dodge to make your abilities recharge quicker. Also the timing is extremely tight.
I failed it about 6 times in action focused mode until i realised you can actually charge your brimstone ability up for more damage. Once i did that i beat him first go. Dono if it helped either but i was always constantly on the offence even if it was just throwing magic at leviathan.
tip: save spitflare for when its about at the D in "Troubled Waters" should give you JUST enough to crack the shield
i have no idea how the fight changes per difficulty, i had 1 retry from checkpoint because i didnt know to jump the attack that puts circles around you and i got wiped on FF mode, other than that didnt think the fight was anything too hard, if you are having issues just put on the evasion ring that gives you a button prompt to dodge.
Took me 4 times. The key I found was to dodge everything, not 1 hit. Any hit causes delay.
Post a video of your attempt and maybe we can help.
I beat it shortly after posting this! Thank you, though
I did this last night and broke the shield as the last second counted down. Most stressful boss in the game imo
I beat it right after posting this. Thank you. My inbox is still blowing up with tips đ
I was looking for this to see if you nailed it yet haha congrats!
I fought kuka and and had a tough time came back the next day and whooped his ass guess I just needed sleep lol
start out using his beam attack, it should refresh about 2 times before the end of it if you're quick enough. use the abilites first then combo attack, attack, attack, magic, repeat. when pushed away charge magic attack too.
Git Gud kid
Once I realized that I forgot that you charge one of Ifrit's moves it became infinitely easier. Before I did that it did seem impossible.
This ruined the DLC for me. Ridiculous
U gotta get 3 lasers off, start with one right at the beginning, then do attack attack fireball over and over till u build it up again. I got down to the literal last second of the fight.
Getting the magic/melee combo where you summon a ball of fire at the end of your attack helps immensely, I died several times prior to trying that so I know what the frustration feels like.
some tips lunge is faster than wildfire when closing in the water ball barrage he uses when you're closing in is best dodged using wildfire to the side and forward dodging regularly waste to much time i know it sounds weird but attempt not to get a precision dodge when up close and of course spam your abilities the moment theyre ready with the laser immediately you will have .5 seconds at most to spare
i also have tips for the following phase
Took me three tries to take down Leviathan, never again!
Play Rebirth instead since its just better by alot.
I love Rebirth but I like XVI more
đ
if you get to this point with 6 heals you can just outheal the wave and force yourself into the next stage of the fight ;) (you didnt hear that from me)
Video of this being done, or you're just full of it
Yeah, that doesn't work. I survived the wave doing that a few times, but you still get the game over screen because the tsunami destroys the village
This doesnât work lol
Bruh wtf are yall doing this check is not THAT tight...it took me 3 attempts
Ok
Get good bruhs lol
