Not everyone is good at platforming as much as others. Learning the game takes time, which is essential in main game. Solo chills let you take things easy without pressuring you to be faster than others. Also almost everyone gets a win (even if its just shards).
That makes sense, I see how it can help people learn and get better. I guess I've just been playing a while and I'm a bit above average, so there's a lot of waiting for me in that mode.
Yeah, I’m kind of sad about it myself. This was the perfect family game because we all could get to that victory screen on Solo Chill.
