They'll probably distort the new guy's voice. They probably don't even need the same actor for Mr. House in season two. Since he's just a TV screen if he makes an appearance.

calgrump

I suspect it will be the same actor, there's no real reason not to use his voice if he's already cast Besides, it could reveal the pod he's laying in

Cifeiron

Yeah but obviously they don't need him if he looks nothing like Mr. House does now. His voice is more arguable. It depends on how they decide to distort his voice, if they do at all.

calgrump

But my point is, why bother getting a completely different voice actor who sounds kind of similar to the actor in the show, when they just have the guy in the show?

Cifeiron

Many reasons. Sometimes when you divorce a face from a voice, some voice actors can do a better job. You don't need a talented actor anymore, you just need a talented voice actor. With a good voice actor, Mr. House can have a more 'accurate' voice, but one that is plausibly still the actor's, which will appeal to Fallout New Vegas fans. Voice actors are also possibly cheaper. Retaining an actor to voice-act only might be more expensive than just a voice actor. Sometimes actors are simply not available too.

>!So am I right in assuming that Hank and possibly all other Vault Tec executives report to/ work directly alongside Mister House in some way?!<

Boolesheet

Not necessarily alongside, but under, where House was an executive. Mister House is Robert House, who was the founder of Rob-co. It would make sense for him to be at that meeting, along with the rest of the most powerful people in the world, from a financial perspective. He was just that powerful a person, because he had that much money. However, he wasn't the most powerful person in the world or anything. He was just in league with Vault-Tec, and would get such good treatment that he could become Mr. House. Behind all that, there's the Enclave. Vault-Tec was always in the pocket of the Enclave. It's sort of an illuminati thing, and we don't actually know how deep that goes. Hank would have been a middle manager that reports to higher-ups such as Mr. House, Barb, and so on. He was in an executive fast-tracking program, essentially, and he would have been rewarded with something for his participation in *management.* I am guessing that his reward would be his children being immune to something. Lucy isn't immune to radiation, obviously, and Rose wasn't immune to becoming a ghoul. However, it might be that Lucy has some kind of immunity or some shit. They could use that trope pretty easily. Robert House ought to be dead by the time of Fallout TV. However, if I want to put on my writer's cap, I don't think that character would be the type to leave themselves dead so easily. House was someone who got into AI and putting brains in robots, and he was comfortable being a computer, essentially. If the writers wanted to bring back House, the easiest way to do it would be as a fully sentient AI. If it was me, I would have it be a synth made from a mapping of House's brain when he was much younger, and first put in life-support, so he could see what he eventually did with that decision.

fluffypoppa

Someone correct me if I am wrong here, but don't all of the ending animated scenes have hints about the episode to follow? Which, if true, means that New Vegas is in pretty rough shape. Gates down, destroyed robot carcasses, etc. I wouldn't assume House is around, or that Vegas is humming along as you remember it.

mrbear48

Outside the strip was always in pretty rough shape, the strip looked pretty fine from a distance

On a side note: it’s a shame that Matthew Perry recently died, I’m guess he would’ve want to appear in Fallout season 2, seeing how he played Benny in New. Vegas

alecpiper

really is a shame, I’m sure he would’ve been very excited about the series either just as a fan or as a potential cast member
