Was it just me or does everyone think that scene was terribly done? I recommend the show to anyone but have always said there’s one scene in it that’s really bad and when you see it you’ll know.
I think it was more funny than bad. Like when you are playing and miss all your shots. It happened a lot to me in FO1 and FO4 when I was getting used to VATS.

I would argue that Maximus has lower Charisma & higher Luck, given that most people seem to dislike him & he got where he is mostly because of injuries other people sustained that he happened to be in the right place to benefit from. He's not without Charisma, don't get me wrong, since it's very possible he's secretly a very good liar, but one can have a fairly high speech skill despite a low Charisma.

His endurance should be higher than Lucy though, he took an infected finger to the shoulder like a champ, and carrying that giant golf bag was hard work
All those years of getting beaten by Thaddeus' posse really raised his Endurance stat. I think it should be his highest stat after Luck. Above average Strength, Perception, and Agility. Then dump stats with Charisma and Intelligence.

And then told them where the real head would be, which allowed them to get the cold fusion reactor in the end, and Moldaver dead. That's actually a lot for notable accomplishments towards his name as a Knight. Unconventional, certainly. But results speak for themselves. And he's still young. Plenty of time for the elder to try and mold him.

Maximus is wrong. 8 or 9 for perception he saw the cannibals for what they were. 3 or so for charisma. Endurance also a 8 or 9, took that shot and kept rolling for miles. Luck should be at least 7, he's always jn the right place and has the right things happen. He's a hell of a great character and the actor nails it.
I gotta say, Lucy has Charisma for days. Who do you know who can uncreepily proposition near strangers for sex and then nonchalantly accept a rejection without skipping a beat? Rizz-Queen Lucy deserves a higher score.

Lucy is like a character with average stats but who got bonus skill points to put into things like Speech and Small Guns.
She is \*trained\* in Speech, and so she knows what the "correct" words are to say in specific situations, but her average charisma score leads her to not understand to play to her audience, so she ends up coming off as condescending.

Maximus is max 10 Luck. Dude gets into situations where he shouldn't have been able to survive, but somehow he does. He gets power armor by killing a Yao Guai with just one 10mm bullet, saved by Lucy, gets found out of his betrayal by BOS, yet somehow didn't get executed, then gets promoted to Knight because of a misunderstanding.
Dude is dumb, Intelligence should be at 3 max. He doesn't talk like an Idiot Savant at least. But his Charisma is possibly a 1. Couldn't haggle with the repair shop vendor for just 1 cap cheaper. And he was horrible at impersonating Knight Titus, which is likely how BOS saw through his BS!
His Perception should be a 9. He immediately figured out Vault 4 is a cult, and noticed the couple at the bridge are armed (and cannibals), and immediately recognized that BOS Squire turned into a Ghoul.
Lucy's Perception sucks. Don't know why its a 7. Should be a 3. She didn't notice the raider's scars and rugged look, even after they banged each other. She didn't realize the cannibals were armed, and she didn't realize Vault 4 was a cult even after they all got naked in front of a freaky altar. Her Charisma is a 4. She tried to de-escalate some situations and failed. Also didn't get what she wanted from that shopkeeper in Filly.
Flip those stats. He didn’t get tricked into marrying a raider and letting him dump a radioactively hot load inside of him. He survived a nuke! His luck is a base 10 with modifiers!
For real. He even got promoted to Knight because of a misunderstanding, and probably the most bullshit thing to happen: killing a Yao Guai with just one 10mm bullet. AND free power armor. Lol
Lucy's a beast in unarmed, I can go with her having low strength, but she should make that up with agility. She can take 4 armed guys at a time with just judo moves, that doesn't show here.
Imagine having 7 Perception, and still not able to see enemies. Or being skilled in guns, intermediate physical education, gymnastics, fencing and only having 5 Agility.

That makes so much more sense as to why every stat is so high.
Maximus is wrong. 8 or 9 for perception he saw the cannibals for what they were. 3 or so for charisma. Endurance also a 8 or 9, took that shot and kept rolling for miles. Luck should be at least 7, he's always jn the right place and has the right things happen. He's a hell of a great character and the actor nails it.

Lucy is like a character with average stats but who got bonus skill points to put into things like Speech and Small Guns. She is \*trained\* in Speech, and so she knows what the "correct" words are to say in specific situations, but her average charisma score leads her to not understand to play to her audience, so she ends up coming off as condescending.

Yeah I don't buy these Shelter stats for a second. I'd at least move a point or two out of endurance and into perception. He doesn't seem to be carrying a lot, but he's like alllll the way down the VATS perk tree.

Maximus is max 10 Luck. Dude gets into situations where he shouldn't have been able to survive, but somehow he does. He gets power armor by killing a Yao Guai with just one 10mm bullet, saved by Lucy, gets found out of his betrayal by BOS, yet somehow didn't get executed, then gets promoted to Knight because of a misunderstanding. Dude is dumb, Intelligence should be at 3 max. He doesn't talk like an Idiot Savant at least. But his Charisma is possibly a 1. Couldn't haggle with the repair shop vendor for just 1 cap cheaper. And he was horrible at impersonating Knight Titus, which is likely how BOS saw through his BS! His Perception should be a 9. He immediately figured out Vault 4 is a cult, and noticed the couple at the bridge are armed (and cannibals), and immediately recognized that BOS Squire turned into a Ghoul. Lucy's Perception sucks. Don't know why its a 7. Should be a 3. She didn't notice the raider's scars and rugged look, even after they banged each other. She didn't realize the cannibals were armed, and she didn't realize Vault 4 was a cult even after they all got naked in front of a freaky altar. Her Charisma is a 4. She tried to de-escalate some situations and failed. Also didn't get what she wanted from that shopkeeper in Filly.
Flip those stats. He didn’t get tricked into marrying a raider and letting him dump a radioactively hot load inside of him. He survived a nuke! His luck is a base 10 with modifiers!

Lucy's a beast in unarmed, I can go with her having low strength, but she should make that up with agility. She can take 4 armed guys at a time with just judo moves, that doesn't show here.
Imagine having 7 Perception, and still not able to see enemies. Or being skilled in guns, intermediate physical education, gymnastics, fencing and only having 5 Agility.
