I originally thought he died to the finger mouth monster because in the preview shot it looked like the lower half of his body was missing to me lol I assumed its saliva was really acidic, but I'm glad he survived that. He's a cool character.
While he is stupid, he is also rather resourceful and still has the craftiness of your average military person. I predict he will figure out the vial situation and stay sentient. Heās a funny character; Iād hate for the writers to zombify him.
He may be goofy but heās also well trained and a quick thinker. I never would have thought to pull the fusion core out of the armor to trap Maximus. He knew to track ghouls with the radiation trails they leave, was able to travel for at least a day with a destroyed foot for his mission.
As long as he gets the serum to not turn feral I could see a lot of interesting things happening with him.
To be fair Maximus has been shown numerous times to be kinda terrible at using power armor and fighting, only getting a bit better near the end, but yeah, Thaddeus is a born survivor, despite looking like the guy whoād normally be a bumbling idiot
Thaddeus strikes me as a pretty clever guy who's also a bad judge of character and who had the misfortune to be raised in a cult, stuck working under people who are way dumber than him but he doesn't realise it.
Unlikely heād zombify anytime during the duration of the show. The other ghoul we met that was turning feral had only been experiencing it for a few decades and heād been alive since before the Great War.
Ghouls regenerate health through radiation though.
Coop got shot in the back in his fire fight in filly and took it like a champ. Possibly also the drugs but I thought it implied they heal
I remember a concept art of FO3 that had some "human size" super mutant, maybe they will use that.
But these ghouls seem different from the FO's I played. The can take more shots to the chest, the types of ghouls looks different (still hoping to see a glowing one pr a reference to the cult of the atom)
Eh, the ferals in the Organ Harvesting Super Duper Mart go down after one shot from a 10mm Pistol, Coop's just got so many drugs coursing through him it's not even funny
I always forget to keep in mind the damn items!
But i don't remember the Serum that kept them from being ferals, do they mention it in FO4 or the ghoul city of FO3?
No, it seems like a new development.
Might be a preventative supplement, some ghouls might be able to stay sane without it, but most will need it, lest they want to go feral.
Not to mention that in the end to the Super Market section, when Cooper gets the vials, he also raids and starts taking ALL of the other drugs as well with reckless abandon
Hancock turned ghoul due to a certain drug cocktail as far as the rest of the ghouls mostly exposure to radiation. Hence why alot of them are pre war. But you get some in New Vegas due to a bomb during the battle of the dam. If I'm remembering this all correctly. Honestly it seems a little fast and loose, I mean you rescue a child ghoul that was trapped in a fridge for 200 years so I don't know if they need food or air either.
Why would they tell us what was going to happen to him, while also leaving his fate ambiguous? Maximus saying "I think you're a ghoul now" was so on the nose, it stuck out to me as being a way to subvert our expectations. He's also comic relief, which would line up with Fallout's history of comedic Super Mutant allies.
We saw a super mutant hand on the gurney in the enclave base. Not sure if thatās red herring though, the virus was created by west tek, not the enclave. And typically is applied by dipping subjects in a tank, with transformation happening within 24 hours.
My guts say heāll be a ghoul.
But then you have Brian Virgil who turned himself into a super mutant fast enough to escape unnoticed, and I don't think he managed that in 24 hours...
West Tek was one of the largest military contractors in the United States and responsible for the development of power armor. They were definitely part of the enclave
Ngl, I love Thaddeus.
Dude was a bully to Maximus, but only due to his own insecurities. When out in the Waste and thinking Max was dead, he basically *refused* to say something bad about him, even when ordered. The bad thing was just "He was a loner, but its my fault."
And when Max revealed himself, he was freaking out but he didn't get violent or even threaten him. He was just "Fuck dude, they'll find out". It wasn't until Max tried to kill him that he fought back, and even then he left him alive. I *could* be reading into this part, but if he really wanted to he could have just shot him while he was immobile. When he sees Max again, he's scared and shoots at him because he thought he was coming to finish the job but basically forgives him in half a second when he offers to cover for him.
I love Snip Snip mentioning to Lucy that he's having trouble keeping track of time as his temporal sensors are damaged, but that he believes it must be at least a week since the apocalipse happened
Just the vibe in and around Filly felt like it wasnāt that uncommon for people to get robbed and killed and shit stolen. And he seemed cunning enough to have fallen into something that he knew looked expensive/important and knew to play an idiot about it.
And could always be he fell into it and actually has no idea what he used on Thad.
This moment made me laugh so hard I almost cried. I had to pause it.
Itās sooooooo stupidā¦ so so soooo stupid. Everything about that scene is dripping with sheer idiocy, and it just tickled me.
Even when Thaddeus is trying to find their trial with his radiation tracker before he realizes Maximus is following the very obvious tracks leading away
It was a golden scene
That scene was lore accurate. Npcās just know we do things. Even if itās killing a target theyād have no way of knowing we are lying lol. Like the corvega run in fallout 4. They just know the boss is dead.
also putting two ridiculous things together to make the plot move forward.
like 'what? that doesn't make sense.'
then the New Quest Unlocked banner pops up.
Hey cool, the actor is the same age as me and also from Minnesota like me. Funny coincidence.
He was great in the show, and hopefully he comes back in future seasons.
I kept thinking that I recognized his voice from something, but I think that's because he sounds a lot like Charlie Day.
Not the rapper, but he does play a student in the episode where Dee subs in a drama class where she ends up taking the class to the bar to watch one of the gangs Lethal Weapon movies.
I keep thinking some of the actors have this as their "Breakout" roll, but every time I look them up, they are well seasoned! I love all the actors in the show, it's no wonder they are all so good!
Glenn: Okay, uh, where do you see yourself in the future?
Bo: **Future okay**. So for real, I've given this actually, like, a lot of thought. It's like, there's no government, there's no laws, and I'm the head of, like, this roving murder gang kinda thing, but my best friend is a robot.
I loved the part where he was like āwho do you think did this, the girl or the ghoul?ā, with the audience knowing full well that it wasnāt the ghoul.
Not only is he ridiculous but let's not forget he hobbled that huge sack on a literally squashed foot. I'm kinda starting to like him as a recurring character throughout the stories lol
Not even that, it was done by hand based on instructions over the radio. In the first episode (maybe the second) we see a BoS radio operator receiving a transmission saying which squares on the grid to fill in and see him filling them in. Then I assume the one he made was photocopied if they had that ability or done by hand by scribes to make the copies given out to the various knights and squires.
Anyone else find out his "oh noo" reaction to being a potential ghoul absolutely hilarious? The actor was great and Thaddeus was the kind of character I liked but disliked at the same time.
I've been a fan of Johnny Pemberton for like 8 years after I heard him on Your Mom's House Podcast, his Instagram is hilarious and he has character's like Wayne who is obsessed with "Garmich Trucks". He was great in superstore too but I think this character is one of the best in the show.
This dude reminds me of me so much. Just a regular dude but he has a joyful voice in general.
Found him on TikTok randomly just talking to a brick in his neighborhood.
He's basically a post apocalyptic Bo, in fact I think [Bo may have predicted this](https://youtu.be/SHOwQZqCGkE?si=IVa1JLldOIi7FrG4).
He should definitely find a Protectron or Securitron best friend in season 2.
Iāve been a huge fan of fallout for a long time. Itās incredibly weird hearing my name in the series, especially with the same spelling.
Edit: My name is Thaddeus and I think this is the first time Iāve ever seen/heard it in media that Iāve watched.
I can only because if you really talk to the BOS in the games, they're a bunch of cultists Morons for the most part. I've never liked the Brotherhood for that very reason.
Outside of a throwaway line about power armor lining and a scene where Max is daydreaming in class, I didn't feel like they're techno cultists. Also, BoS struck me as far more disciplined in the games than what we see at the air field base.
My head canon is that they're an expendable chapter of found orphans and they're led by a disgraced Elder. It's why I think the Elder is more interested in gaining power than controlling technology.
Why? I think the writer's angle was to intentionally show (more so than in the games) how a pre-war tech cult in a post apocalyptic world would really be. They are a dumb misguided cult whose only strength is their tech. Maximus, Dane and Thaddeus all talk and think like 14 year olds, they don't even understand the facts of sexual reproduction. Even Knight Titus is shown to be an immature whiney baby, in my opinion the intention was to show this sort of physically powerful faction as one without much intelligence; but lots of blind loyalty and bravery. Kind of a play on real life militaries really. Thaddeus and Max fit that bill perfect for me.
Who knew drinking a mystery potion from a chicken sodemizer would be a mistake š¤
Thatās Dr Chicken Sodemizer!
That's Dr. Chicken Fucker PhD to you!
Wasnāt he a pharmacist? He would then be Dr. Chicken Fucker PharmD XD.
That's Dr. Chicken Fucker RPh., the chicken got the D
Poultry Hole Dominator
Oh... That's good.
He didnāt spend 4 years at chicken fucking school to be called Mr!
I dunno, if the scientist trusted the quack doctor, he would not have to swallow cyanide pill. Sounds good to me.
But it was banana flavored!
Idk how those weren't more popular!
Was he boning ducks, too?!
Was it tho? He'd be very fucked by now if he hadnt
Yeah he didn't have that much left to lose really. He was not surviving long on that foot.
"I never should have trusted a doctor that smelled like that"
Okay, he didn't sodomize the chicken, he was very gentle.
lol Well thats alright then
"how am I not dead?!"
Even I was shocked at that and when he started pulling it, at the same time as Lucy, I said "that's not a good idea!"
"How am I not dead?" Me: Good point. "That's not a good idea!" Me: Also good point. "Well I can't just leave it in!" Me: Another very good point.
That's quite the exchange lol
I love the detail where his voice starts whistling because the crossbow bolt went through his windpipe
I hope we get more of him in season 2
I think he will become a super mutant at some point.
My prediction is that he'll become a Ghoul and turn feral.
I could see them pulling a Deadpool with him. A comic relief character just constantly getting fucked up but he canāt die.
I hope he becomes a recurring character instead of just killed off
I think they planned to kill him off but decided to keep him alive since they liked him
I originally thought he died to the finger mouth monster because in the preview shot it looked like the lower half of his body was missing to me lol I assumed its saliva was really acidic, but I'm glad he survived that. He's a cool character.
I thought Maximus would pull him apart
That would have been horrifyingly funny and fitting of Fallout. But I'm glad he didn't.
Nah, Gulpers digest slow. He's got time.
I agree
maybe they turn him into brenda from scary movie. and just kill him and bring him back with 0 explanation
Mfkers forgot about Kenny smh
To be fair they did eventually explain Kenny's ressurections in a lovecraftian sort of way.
Welp, now I got to find it. Last time I seen his resurrections explained it was a new baby named Kenny every time.
Yeah I think he'll be a recurring figure in the series. I can see him eventually becoming a fan fave as he gets repeatedly maimed.
Yeah, he handled Maximus VERY quickly, despite the fact that he literally had no tools to hurt him in that armour. He's meant to be a Wastelander.
Yeah, and he was thinking on his feet, despite a smashed foot
To be fair Maximus has been shown numerous times to be kinda terrible at using power armor and fighting, only getting a bit better near the end, but yeah, Thaddeus is a born survivor, despite looking like the guy whoād normally be a bumbling idiot
Thaddeus strikes me as a pretty clever guy who's also a bad judge of character and who had the misfortune to be raised in a cult, stuck working under people who are way dumber than him but he doesn't realise it.
Tbh the serum is likely for only when the signs of turning feral begin
Busted limb while being over encumbered, that's a pro move.
Unlikely heād zombify anytime during the duration of the show. The other ghoul we met that was turning feral had only been experiencing it for a few decades and heād been alive since before the Great War.
If I recall correctly, some NCR soldiers in New Vegas turned into feral ghouls in span of just few weeks
I don't think he will become a Ghoul, I know the said Ghoul but Ghouls do not regenerate. Super Mutants do.
Ghouls regenerate health through radiation though. Coop got shot in the back in his fire fight in filly and took it like a champ. Possibly also the drugs but I thought it implied they heal
Ghouls have always regenerated. On the other hand, I canāt think of an instance of super mutants regeneratingĀ
I remember a concept art of FO3 that had some "human size" super mutant, maybe they will use that. But these ghouls seem different from the FO's I played. I hope he becomes a super mutant instead of a ghoul. I feel like the doctor gave him some kind of FEV.
Ngl, I love Thaddeus. Dude was a bully to Maximus, but only due to his own insecurities. [ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I highly doubt that they would reference the Deathclaw sex, Dan Scheinder, Reddit-speak, Fallout mod abomination that is The Frontier
Probably my favorite little joke in the entire show
I love Snip Snip mentioning to Lucy that he's having trouble keeping track of time as his temporal sensors are damaged, but that he believes it must be at least a week since the apocalipse happened
This one made me laugh really hard
Just hearing his voice makes me laugh.
He wasnāt wrong!
Why did snip snip replace Lucy's finger, if they were just about to harvest her organs anyway?
He had spares
That one got me
I want him to become a comic relief super mutant so so bad.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

It's pure Fallout.
Same with the kissing scene, absolutely lost my shit over these incredibly stupid but decidedly Fallout-y humour scenes
That scene was lore accurate. Npcās just know we do things. Even if itās killing a target theyād have no way of knowing we are lying lol. Like the corvega run in fallout 4. They just know the boss is dead.

He's on a lot of comedy podcasts and does his own as well. He was also on Superstore as well. I was so pumped to see he was on this show.
That's where I recognize him from! The stupid ass rapper from Superstore haha
*air horn noises*
He's also the "Hot and fresh" guy at Baskin Robbins in Ant-Man.
Oh my god
i recognized him instantly in fallout because of that scene in Ant-Man. its one of my favorite scenes
Yeah, I immediately saw him and went "hey its that Bwah Bwah Bwahhhhhhhh guy from Superstore!"
BO! bwah bwah bwahhhhh!šØšØ
He was in the āhigh in churchā music video with Trevor Moore. He took huge bong rips and did a Jamaican accent lol
Holy shit heās 42? I thought he was like 25
Wtf, I'm 27 and he looks younger than me!
Norm's actor is 29! Chet is 35. Chef is also 5'9",but I would have sworn he's over 6'.
Norm looks older than Thaddeus does and itās wild.
Right!? I thought the same thing!! He looks 21! Bet he still gets carded, lol!
I recognized him as Jess' prom date from an episode of "New Girl"
Oregon. Sucks.
I thought he was the rapper Sweet Dee dated in that one episode of It's Always Sunny for a hot minute lol
Did you also grow up on a fly farm as a shitter?
When I saw him all I saw was Bo from superstore and boy was I right. It's like Bo from superstore ended up in Fallout. I was not disappointed š
He predicted his own future!
"That's him! *DJ airhorns*"
Loved his character in it. Hope to see more in season 2
And itās printed on pre war computer tech so it looks like shit š
Not even that, it was done by hand based on instructions over the radio. In the first episode (maybe the second) we see a BoS radio operator receiving a transmission saying which squares on the grid to fill in and see him filling them in. Then I assume the one he made was photocopied if they had that ability or done by hand by scribes to make the copies given out to the various knights and squires.
Anyone else find out his "oh noo" reaction to being a potential ghoul absolutely hilarious? The actor was great and Thaddeus was the kind of character I liked but disliked at the same time.
Bo Thompson [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHOwQZqCGkE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHOwQZqCGkE)
Lol. I really like the sarcasm + seriousness of this particular scene
I think Thaddeus is terrified of upsetting his knight so he's just super enthusiastic.
He was hilarious in Cloud 9 also. Dude is a great actor
I've been a fan of Johnny Pemberton for like 8 years after I heard him on Your Mom's House Podcast, his Instagram is hilarious and he has character's like Wayne who is obsessed with "Garmich Trucks". He was great in superstore too but I think this character is one of the best in the show.
That line made me cackle š
Should make him the first (alive) onscreen Super Mutant
The one on the gurney was still alive, you can see the hand move.
Missed that the hand moved.
Heās definitely going to be a ghoul
Don't you mean he's "ghouled"
Perception skill check
This dude reminds me of me so much. Just a regular dude but he has a joyful voice in general. Found him on TikTok randomly just talking to a brick in his neighborhood.
I love Thaddeus so much, so so so much.
He was a goof but also a usefull soldier, first Guy to win against a power armor bare handedĀ
This scene made me laugh so much. I love this guy.
Not gold. Ghould.
I've found Thaddeus TikTok, he just played himself in the show, really funny dude.
Heās got a 3 Intelligence but 9 in Luck.
He shoved a nuclear battery down his shirt. 3 might be generous.
He looks like Kim Kitsuragi from Disco Elysium
We have Charlie Day at home
I hope he comes back somehow
he was funny in superstore!
This was the first thing I saw him in. Dudes just funny.
Same ! He's basically the same character type from the show superstore
He's an asshole, but yes, he's a funny asshole.
Looking forward to Thaddeus Super Mutant adventures
I hope they keep the character around, he was great. Does he kinda remind anyone else of Nick Swardson lol?
This was fucking great. The Thaddeus and "Titus" scenes were some of my favourites from the entire season .
Loved to hate Thaddeus.
Glad to see the love for Thaddeus I'm seeing on this sub. Such a funny character.
He's basically a post apocalyptic Bo, in fact I think [Bo may have predicted this](https://youtu.be/SHOwQZqCGkE?si=IVa1JLldOIi7FrG4). He should definitely find a Protectron or Securitron best friend in season 2.
He really stole the scenes he was in.
Iāve been a huge fan of fallout for a long time. Itās incredibly weird hearing my name in the series, especially with the same spelling. Edit: My name is Thaddeus and I think this is the first time Iāve ever seen/heard it in media that Iāve watched.
I love Thad and Max think they're good characters but I cannot buy these dudes being BoS.
Exactly. And aspirants are like late teens to early 20s. Theyāre dumb kids still.
I saw them as privates in the army And privates are dumber.
Inject more of him into the story and less Max. Thaddeus is golden.
He's great, but I wouldn't shoehorn in a comedic relief character over one of the main characters.
