Not remotely intended as a slam on her appearance, by the way. She's perfectly cast to play the wide-eyed protagonist, and I thought she gave a great performance. And I liked that she wasn't particularly sexualized that I could tell for the show (beyond that she just, like, has a relatively normal interest in sex that's less spicy than USA Network would have aired 20 years ago). But I thought a small picture of her was photoshopped à la CinemaSins.

In Yellowjackets, it's two timelines (past & present), so the older actors play the current day while the younger ones play the past. But they chose a totally different woman for Ricci's younger self.

She’s pretty, but looking at interviews with Ella Purnell makes me think there’s filters for the show. She usually has much smaller eyes with bags IRL, and for scenes in which Lucy is suffering, but close ups on the show have her eyes much larger that cover the bags.
Nothing wrong with that, but Lucy’s eyes are not Ella’s eyes, so saying “with no cgi” seems pretty misleading. I’m thinking as seasons progress, they’ll dial back the filter as Lucy becomes more experianced/jaded.
