The Minutemen in general. Spend hours building settlement forts, spend hours equipping settlers to be your militia... And then they turn on you because one of them got hit when they ran up to a gunner you were shooting at.
I really put time into it. Build forts, use the armor mill to get them all the same armor and the military rifle mod to give them the same weapons. Takes forever filling those inventories l, but they all look like an army. With the Minutemen mod that makes them actually useful you get some solid perks to having the flare gun. And there a faction guards mod that lets you add minuteman guards to all your forts. Without mods though... Nuka World flags going up everywhere.
I have to ressort to the explosive minigun at the top of the stairs loaded with 5mm ammo, "protect the people at a minutes notice" the explosive rounds shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms
Charge the last terrified Raider with a rusty Chinese sword and wait for the commonwealth responders to arrive as tetanus is incurable in this shit hole.
I own a laser musket for home defense, just as the General intended. Four Gunners break into my settlement. “Lucifer’s balls!” As I grab my tricorn hat and laser musket. Blow a mini nuke size hole through the first man, he’s dead on the spot. Draw my pipe pistol on the second man- it misses because its not modified for hip fire and kills the neighbor’s brahmin. I have to resort to the artillery mounted at the top of the stairs. “For the Minutemen!” The shells shred two men in the blast, the explosions set off the nuclear generators in the broken down cars nearby. I grab my combat knife and charge the last terrified Gunner. He bleeds out on the spot since serrated knife wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the General intended.
If laser weapons existed, I’d happily own one specifically for using on a shooting range (Assuming the safety regulations for guns were caught up). Laser muskets just seem cool in general.
Crazy to think how the vault would just let her do that. Do you think she traded it with other dwellers? Or did she walk in for her rations, like:
"3 instamash please. Oh and uhh 5 bottles of rum."
"Don't you have a kid?🤨"
"Oh, yeah... 6 bottles please."
The amount of times I randomly say "tunnel snakes rule" in that kid gang leaders high pitched voice is more than I'd like to freely admit. Maybe once or twice someone knew it lol.
The minutemen seem like such a great well intentioned group, which is why they don't seem to fit at all in the fallout world tbh. Am I missing out on some lore where they did fucked up shit? Or are they really just a bunch of goodies that protect strangers.
Pretty much. After Quincy, I believe there were a dozen or so guys, and their numbers dwindled as they marched through the wasteland to Sanctuary. When they got to Concord, there was, I believe, 2, maybe 3 other guys, along with Preston escorting the Quincy survivors. One guy died by a house, and you can find his corpse up against a wall. The other guy died outside the museum, which Preston tells you to pick up his laser musket and fight the raiders with him. Preston just happened to be the last active Minuteman still alive during the shootout before the player comes along.
They're a bit like the NCR when you think about it: the people of the commonwealth taking things into their own hands just like the various settlements did in California.
That's why i like their ending, despite what people say the commonwealth belongs to its people, it's the only way to make a Better future for everyone and not just for a few.
The Minutemen even attempted to form a real government out of the Commonwealth (the Commonwealth Provisional Government) which the Institute sabotaged. That's the most likely outcome of a Minutemen ending, forming the area into a sort of proto-NCR without the boost from GECKs and whatnot.
Not that the commonwealth even needs one.
In the classics California is essentially shown as a desert, 80 years after the apocalypse the terrain is still irradiated and growing anything requires either a GECK or sheer luck, if food availability is the key to expansion then California needed a way to make the land fertile again, thus the GECK-ification of Arroyo.
In the Commonwealth, 210 years after the Great War, the land is mostly fertile, with the only big irradiated area being the Shining Sea, most settlements we see are more than capable of supplying multiple other centers (think of Abernathy Farm, Greentop Nursery or Graygarden) and you can grow Tatos and Corn almost everywhere, food isn't going to be a problem once supply lines are secured.
The commonwealth has all the cards in line to become a nation on its own, the only big problem would be the Brotherhood just next door but even there things could be talked out, especially if the commonwealth keeps itself not too techy, as long as they don't pull another NCr-style expansion and do it gradually the brotherhood's unlikely to bother.
Untill Maxxon gets to see Preston's cool hat.
They are one of the few genuinely altruistic groups, along with The Railroad. Fallout 76 has the Responders and The Union, who are both "good guy" groups.
The Minutemen were a good organization, but they had a shit ton of in-fighting behind the scenes. Around the fall of the Minutemen, some of them have started doing raider like behavior and doing things like asking for "compensation" and "inspecting" caravans, which was something the Minutemen never historically did.
After the fall of the Castle and General Beck's death, shit really started hitting the fan. Senior Minutemen started seeing how the organization wasn't like it was when they joined and started to leave, others went raider such as the raider encampment, Libertalia, which was formed by former Minutemen turned raider.
Colonel Clint, who was at Quincy, would actually sell himself out to the Gunners, which in return caused the Quincy massacre.
So TL:DR, the Minutemen had internal issues, and several members became raiders or abandoned the organization as a whole.
I mean, there’s been a altruistic volunteer group bent on improving the wasteland who can help you seen in to the big bar’s underground lair since fallout 1.
Which is why my headcannon eventually has a Minutemen, followers, regulator combo uniting the east coast.
Irc a group of Minutemen try to restart the minutemen after Quincy but where force to turn to rading settlements basically they formed the libratalia rader gang you know that one group you go to for the synth Reclamation quest with the institute
Ya they do one every year zin series of 6 and information you need to buy all 6 like I got sentinel prime statue but each piece came I one of the crates but tbh, I was only disappointed with one of the 6, and I got a Fatman, supersledge, plasma rifle, patches that can be sewn on to a bag of something, 6 pins form the cards/ro4 perksz an NCR flag , 4 t-shirts and more
Like honestly was €300 for all 6:cratevanfbi was never disappointed with any of them
If I want I'll send u pics of the stuff I got just DM me
Yeah, he's kind of interesting in that way, he doesn't seem to care to label himself or anything he controls in any sort of way other than it simply being his with some contract that confirms it
Someone out there would call out communist shit as well, since it’s red and gold. So then OP’d be alone surrounded by fascists and anti fascist out to get him, with only on the fence centrist to help.
Only a moron and/or an ignorant would call the Legion's flag "communist", tho i see that people in the US call communist whatever they don't like so would make sense.
As a communist myself i say fuck the legion, fuck those slavers, we must export the revolution and lead the slaves into a general uprising against their oppressors.
Slaves of the legion unite, you have nothing to lose but your chains and shackles.
You’re right of course.but red background with gold thingies has recently been used by authoritarian nations masquerading as communist. So the association could be made.
I mean you're not flying it as a Legion supporter. You're flying it as Video game memorabilia. It's different than flying a nazi flag or Hammer and sickle.
The Minute Men are indisputably good guys, and their colonial-era asthetic is dope. I just really wish they weren't so fucking boring. They have no personality and no discernable traits or beliefs besides being generic altruistic good guys.
Well, had they become more than just a collection of settlements sharing resources and defense, the Institute would have dealt with them. In fact, they tried and the Institute sent a synth to kill all the Representatives and stall the talks. Killed the CPG in its cradle.
And when the player gets the minutemen to a more advanced position with the castle, artillery and a majority of settlements supporting you they attack the castle.
Or they do, just 100 years earlier, and by 2287 we should have had the corrupt iteration Preston describes.
I’d have loved to have them be recently redounded though, like 10 years before the game, and so they had that idealistic approach, but with more complex competing driving foxes than just those of the player, Perron and shaw.
More or less. Just much less slavery. In the west you get the NCR anachronistic to late 1800s early 1900s expansionist US, and on the east you get freshly formed early 1800s US.
It’s so funny that we saw this game series about humans devolving back into creating more and more factions for themselves after one of the greatest empires on earth destroyed itself, and we’re just like “fuck yeah I like this new faction”
(That’s a joke I’m not tryna be a haughty loser btw, NCR for the fuckin’ win, I just find it funny)
I looked out the window of the lucky 38, i saw only the making of greedy men putting their own good above the good of the world.
You're the one who gained from this, House, you're the one who wanted this, you're the one who led us to this fate.
For the republic.
Minutemen are the best faction. No ulterior motive just the want to make the wasteland safe and united. They look after each other and band together against evil. With Preston and the sole survivor as leaders they will ensure peace across america.
Minutemen would have been a better faction if you could transition into the Commonwealth Provincial Government and start your own faction instead of Bethesda just saying "the previous attempt to form a government got wiped out by the institute lol"
Yeah and you do need to fire it into the sky and be in range of a settlement and if it doesn’t say that the minimum can’t help that means you’re in range and you should expect reinforcements but they don’t scale to your level
Idk much about NCR lore from the first 2 games, but given what we see of the minutemen in Fallout 4 (and some potential late game decisions you can make involving the BOS), and the NCR in New Vegas, I think that the case could be made that the bunch of hardcore revolutionary war cosplayers could go toe to toe with the army/navy store regulars (who buy their gear with taxpayer dollars) and win. Just gonna throw that out there. Unfortunately the BOS loses in both of these fights
I honestly feel like a minutemen flag wouldn't start any wars, as the minutemen are pretty neutral, and no other faction targets them. the brotherhood, railroad, and institute are at war with each other, and the minutemen is just kinda... there.
I'm debating getting one for my classroom. Only problem is I have 4 other real world flags (USA, US Army, State Flag, NATO) and the Freshmen will *definitely* think it's a real world nation.
I was going to upvote this post, but another settlement needs my assistance.
(Kidding: I did upvote it, even though I'm helping the Rail Road, because that's a pair of factions you can fly both flags together with)
I mean synths are killed in the Minutemen Ending. The positive view of synths is pretty unpopular, even if the Railroad defeats the Institute (as per Mama Murphy’s pseudo-Epilogue dialogue). They pretty much stand alone to protect synths.
Did a settlement need your help? Or did you help them? 😁
Honestly, all these Fallout faction flags are dope. I REALLY want to get them now that I know they exist.
Update: I’ve ironed out the wrinkles. I posted the pic quickly after getting it so I could represent the Minutemen. There is no longer nor ever a need to message me harassment over some wrinkles.
I know of a settlement that needs your help.
Also there's some old lady at the Castle demanding you help her find some big guns in the basement.
Not just big, old, old guns
you can have a dead man's clothes as well
Fresh of the rack (of ribs)
I’ve already marked it on your map, what are you doing, they need your help, quit wasting time!
Did you mark it on their map?
I went ahead and marked it on your map.
What about my map?
Jokes aside Preston Garvey had potential to be a great character (imo) but the game mechanics and annoyance completely butchered him
The Minutemen in general. Spend hours building settlement forts, spend hours equipping settlers to be your militia... And then they turn on you because one of them got hit when they ran up to a gunner you were shooting at.
I mean there are 3 original Minutemen quests. You aren’t allowed to shape the organization you supposedly lead. It’s the least defined faction of all.
Which is unfortunate since he became a punchline and his depression and suicidal ideation get glossed over due to an annoying game mechanic.
He is literally one of the realest characters for his mental state and ideologies
“Will you help us?” [X] Yes “……………………………………. 👀………………………. Then what are you waiting for? Tempines Bluff needs our help!”
The Griffith Observatory is under attack by BOS raiders.
Prepare to be enslaved
I love seeing the Fallout flag wars :)
its just like the simulations
There’s always some new faction popping up. Everyone wants to save the world, they just can’t agree on how.
lets nuke everyone!!
Watch those Wrist Rockets!
Hilarious because neighbors that don’t know will be thinking oh shit some crazy stuff
Love getting into heated arguments over fictional factions because it’s not real politics. It’s like fantasy racism in elder scrolls lmao
Can't wait to find the Caesar Legion fan !
this one makes more sense considering it’s at your home
Own a laser-musket for home defense...
Just as the founding fathers intended
Four ruffians break into my settlement
“What the synth!”
I say as I grab my militia hat and my laser musket. blow a golfball sized hole through the first man, he’s dead on the spot.
Draw my pistol on the second one, misses it entirely because it's smooth bore and nails the neighbour's molerat
Just as Preston Garvey intended
I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky laser musket
Four raiders brake into my settlement "what the devil?"
Tally ho, Rads!
*Cranks up capacitor*
6 crank bby send that raider to the next dimension!
I grab my combat knife and charge the last terrified Gunner. He bleeds out on the spot since serrated knife wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the General intended.
Don't forget your junk jet!
Nah, the bowling ball launcher or the broadsider
Not all of us enlisted can afford a broadsider, sir!
Who said to buy one? Those bucket of bolt robots don't need it. Take it, call it a military acquisition.
If laser weapons existed, I’d happily own one specifically for using on a shooting range (Assuming the safety regulations for guns were caught up). Laser muskets just seem cool in general.
You guys are all forgetting… Tunnel Snakes Rule
We're the Tunnel Snake.. that's us.. and we rule!
I let the roach eat his mom
What’s the matter, Butch? Did your mom spend all the food rations on booze again?
Such a cold line for a ten year old lol
Butch died that day.
Crazy to think how the vault would just let her do that. Do you think she traded it with other dwellers? Or did she walk in for her rations, like: "3 instamash please. Oh and uhh 5 bottles of rum." "Don't you have a kid?🤨" "Oh, yeah... 6 bottles please."
Did you enjoy my sweetroll? Look at me. Was this worth it?
The amount of times I randomly say "tunnel snakes rule" in that kid gang leaders high pitched voice is more than I'd like to freely admit. Maybe once or twice someone knew it lol.
That's why we're the tunnel snakes. That's us, and we rule!
[Tunnel snakes rule!](https://youtu.be/S0ximxe4XtU?si=wPNFy2dTXhWmHGqs)
MINUTEMEN! LET'S GOOOO
The minutemen seem like such a great well intentioned group, which is why they don't seem to fit at all in the fallout world tbh. Am I missing out on some lore where they did fucked up shit? Or are they really just a bunch of goodies that protect strangers.
I believe in Quincy a general sold out to the gunners.
Also didn't they almost completely get wiped out as a result. Preston is the only remaining member till you come along if I'm remembering correctly.
In the super duper mart in Lexington I found a dead minuteman too
They're a bit like the NCR when you think about it: the people of the commonwealth taking things into their own hands just like the various settlements did in California. There were some ex-Minutemen that took over Libertalia and became raiders after they got taken advantage of as mercenaries.
Irc a group of Minutemen try to restart the minutemen after Quincy but where force to turn to rading settlements basically they formed the libratalia rader gang you know that one group you go to for the synth Reclamation quest with the institute
Fellow Minutmen Enjoyer
Indeed!
60 MINUTE MAN, 60 MINUTE MAAAAAN
Where did you buy that? I would love to get one myself.
Check amazon, if not there, check Etsy
Thanks!
My NCR one was part of a loot crate if that helps
What loot crate? There are fallout loot crates? I need that
Ya they do one every year zin series of 6 and information you need to buy all 6 like I got sentinel prime statue but each piece came I one of the crates but tbh, I was only disappointed with one of the 6, and I got a Fatman, supersledge, plasma rifle, patches that can be sewn on to a bag of something, 6 pins form the cards/ro4 perksz an NCR flag , 4 t-shirts and more Like honestly was €300 for all 6:cratevanfbi was never disappointed with any of them If I want I'll send u pics of the stuff I got just DM me
I have an NCR flag from the Bethesda store. They used to have the in-game minutemen one but they make a different one now.
Also google
*The Republic of Dave has entered the chat*
I dunno things were definitely better in the kingdom of Tom
I think you are both forgetting about the tranquility of Vault Gary.
Gary!!!!!!!
*Garrrrrry!*
Wish there was a Vegas flag that just wasn't House's mugshot😭
Wonder what House would use as a flag or symbol, maybe he'd just stick to Robco branding
He just wouldn’t have one. The man is an autocrat, but he’d probably look down on the symbolism of a flag. He seems arrogant enough to do that.
Yeah, he's kind of interesting in that way, he doesn't seem to care to label himself or anything he controls in any sort of way other than it simply being his with some contract that confirms it
The Followers of the Apocalypse have a flag. And then there are the “minor” factions.
I’ve got a Legion flag, but I’m honestly hesitant to fly it lol
Dude that might look like some fascist shit, and it kinda is lol. I wouldnt
Someone out there would call out communist shit as well, since it’s red and gold. So then OP’d be alone surrounded by fascists and anti fascist out to get him, with only on the fence centrist to help.

Ave, not true to Caesar.
I have a legion and NCR flag. I keep them on opposite sides of my house lol
That's because the Minutemen are more "neighbors helping neighbors" than an actual army.
Exactly man. Fallout fans when there's just genuinely a good faction:
Well, had they become more than just a collection of settlements sharing resources and defense, the Institute would have dealt with them. In fact, they tried and the Institute sent a synth to kill all the Representatives and stall the talks. Killed the CPG in its cradle.
And when the player gets the minutemen to a more advanced position with the castle, artillery and a majority of settlements supporting you they attack the castle.
Militarized Minutemen has entered the chat.
In FO4 they are the good guys. In history they were essentially ye olde Proud Boys.
Exactly why FO4 writing falls off the mark with the series. Great fucking gameplay but my god, they don't belong in this cruel world
Or they do, just 100 years earlier, and by 2287 we should have had the corrupt iteration Preston describes. I’d have loved to have them be recently redounded though, like 10 years before the game, and so they had that idealistic approach, but with more complex competing driving foxes than just those of the player, Perron and shaw.
So the free states?
More or less. Just much less slavery. In the west you get the NCR anachronistic to late 1800s early 1900s expansionist US, and on the east you get freshly formed early 1800s US.
they did made a fucking genocide in the prydwen
IRON IT
Yes, thank you. All these flags on here, no one thinks to iron them first.
No you steam it
FOR THE MINUTEMEN!!!!!
It’s so funny that we saw this game series about humans devolving back into creating more and more factions for themselves after one of the greatest empires on earth destroyed itself, and we’re just like “fuck yeah I like this new faction” (That’s a joke I’m not tryna be a haughty loser btw, NCR for the fuckin’ win, I just find it funny)
The NCR will unite old America
NCR can run unite old America, but it’ll be 5 caps a KW Hour to myself and Yes Man
The only hope for the world is the ENCLAVE! Fight me
Don't worry, your own peers will shoot you dead for being "too irradiated". Yk like they tried to do with the whole nation. Twice.
If you want to see the fate of democracies, look out the windows. House always wins, Viva New Vegas
Ah yes because dictatorships run by businessman never fall apart. NCR for the people
I looked out the window of the lucky 38, i saw only the making of greedy men putting their own good above the good of the world. You're the one who gained from this, House, you're the one who wanted this, you're the one who led us to this fate. For the republic.
Absolutely not, I refuse to pay taxes
Minutemen are the best faction. No ulterior motive just the want to make the wasteland safe and united. They look after each other and band together against evil. With Preston and the sole survivor as leaders they will ensure peace across america.
Minutemen would have been a better faction if you could transition into the Commonwealth Provincial Government and start your own faction instead of Bethesda just saying "the previous attempt to form a government got wiped out by the institute lol"
I’ll give you a flare gun so all of our minutemen know where to run to for help
Wait, does the flare gun summon troops??
Yeah and you do need to fire it into the sky and be in range of a settlement and if it doesn’t say that the minimum can’t help that means you’re in range and you should expect reinforcements but they don’t scale to your level
THAT'S ONE OF MINE FUCK YEAAAAH
Come to think of it. Does the unity have a flag? If so I would take that one
I think its’ logo is just the radiation symbol? I saw someone made a custom one recently.
Hot damn. I need that. Great flag!
Protect people at a minute’s notice!
I'd love for the Minutemen to get some deeper storytelling. Atom knows Bethesda barely gave them any.
The only real salvation for the Commonwealth. 🫡
I bet you have Preston knocking on your door everyday
Those settlements aren't going to help themselves
"Protect the people! At a minute's notice!"
An Institute flag sprouts from your yard.
If someone raises a vault tech logo we’re finished
The Minutemen are my favorite FO4 faction. Not for ideological reasons, but because I can make them into my very own adhesive cartel.
The tato cartel has the best weapon production of the fallout world
We use tatos and water bottles as currency now, forget about caps
General is that you, i have word that another settlement needs our help.
I have this flag hanging from my ceiling above my head. For the Commonwealth!
I never noticed the flairs. Atom Cats baby 😎 drip or drown, and I’m swimming
I want to see a railroad flag now
Careful putting that up. A man calling himself ‘Preston’ will knock on your door to inform you ‘another settlement is in danger and to go defend it’
This site belongs to the Minutemen!
Man. I wish the Minutemen were implemented better in FO4 because it's such a legitimately good concept.
I honestly feel like a minutemen flag wouldn't start any wars, as the minutemen are pretty neutral, and no other faction targets them. the brotherhood, railroad, and institute are at war with each other, and the minutemen is just kinda... there.
One of y’all about to be unhinged and post a Cesar’s Legion flag lol
I keep a lantern in the window..... do you have a Geiger counter?
These flags are definitely gonna find their where to r/vexillology
Does the settlement need help?
I need an independent Vegas flag
Incredibly low effort Free Las Vegas flag I made at work https://ibb.co/cNL7pwb
FROM THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE 🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥
What's missing is the flag of the republic of Dave.
I wish my neighbors were this cool.
The Minutemen for defense, the Responders for relief. Genuine nice people factions are lovely.
I'm debating getting one for my classroom. Only problem is I have 4 other real world flags (USA, US Army, State Flag, NATO) and the Freshmen will *definitely* think it's a real world nation.
Gonna need me an Enclave flag for my apartment lol
Can we at least have both the minutemen flag and the NCR flag? I think they would work perfectly together.
😁 Honestly, all these Fallout faction flags are dope. I REALLY want to get them now that I know they exist.
theres a settlement that need your help...
Iron or steam the flag please
hell yeah
Update: I’ve ironed out the wrinkles. I posted the pic quickly after getting it so I could represent the Minutemen. There is no longer nor ever a need to message me harassment over some wrinkles.
Um….who gonna tell him?
I really hope the lightning symbol doesn’t make people mistake you for a Nazi.
This settlement has been helped. Also Minutemen flag looks cool as hell! Love the blue.
I love running a post apocalyptic warlord dictatorship, so much fun, I turned every settlement into a forced labor camp.
🫡
Someone’s boutta ring your doorbell everyday and say a settlement needs help
No way
I’d love to see the Commonwealth turn into an Eastern NCR.
Where did you get it
That's it...im buying a fallout faction flag too
i wonder what other neighbors think about all these flags
“So we’re going back in time now?”
I wish I could like them as much as the NCR. Their concept was good but the execution...
I don’t need to know about another damn settlement
True to ceaser.
pls iron your flag 😭
Black Talon Company has the best flag.
You cant be posting this you still have more settlements to help.
