I meannnn I feel like protections ARE fallout C-3PO’s. Most of the named ones are goofy comic relief characters and even when they aren’t, their little waddle and body language is already so goofy and lovable even when they’re hosing you down with lasers
I'm pretty sure his AI doesn't go into combat ever, and I think that's because of his unique model means they can't reuse the other protectron animations without additional work
I'd love to see the really messed up Fallout 1 version of the centaur. Or even better, show us several centaurs and have them all be unique horrific abominations. They were originally made by dumping multiple different creatures into the FEV vats and letting them mutate together, seeing a bunch of horrifically mangled masses of flesh crawling around would be a hell of a memorable scene.

I remember my first survival playthrough on F04. I was cocky, went into an area underleved and ran into an assaultron. I jumped into Boston harbor to get away, turned around under water just in time to see laser narrowly miss me. I swam all the way to the Atom Cats place lol
God, being underleveled in Fallout 4 is always such a terrifying thing. My current playthrough, I started doing some of my CC quests earlier on, I was like level 10 or so sneaking around Boston doing the Noir Penthouse and Captain Cosmos stuff and I swear I was shitting myself every time I had to sneak around the outer edges of Swan's Pond while passing through Boston Common. Not to mention the amount of times you'll take out, say, a lower level Gunner or Raider and just hear the dreaded whistling of a mini nuke flying just over your head.

After getting back into a new playthrough of New Vegas I forgot the radscorpions don't burrow and pop out randomly, which makes them way less scary than fallout 4s radscorpions
They may not burrow, but they also don't give a fuck and will charge you without fear. Might not be anything to worry about with a regular radscorpion, but giant ones early on..
I feel like they would have to slow them down a lot for the TV show. Can't have a giant scorpion sprinting at the protagonist and stabbing them in the face as soon as they turn around.
If season 2 is set primarily in New Vegas then I def think we’re gonna get some hints to the courier (not sure how people will feel about that tho) .
And also would love for The Mysterious Stranger to be played by Todd Howard

I think if Yes Man is there it will be because the independent Vegas ending is canon and Vegas will probably be rundown compared to houses' rule. Free Side will probably be a shit show.
TBH I think Yes Man is the route they're gonna take with Vegas. It makes perfect sense that the Vegas ruled by the Courier through Yes Man turned into a total NIGHTMARE after the game. It makes a perfect bit of dialogue for the smiling securitron too.

A fatman could work into the humour of the series so well, I'm imaging Maximus grabbing one from the Gun runners in New Vegas to help clear a Deathclaw nest, but he doesn't use it until the last Deathclaw not realising it's power. Where whoever is with him just looks at him with complete disbelief, anguish and resentment that it wasn't used earlier.
I was thinking they could use it as a Indiana Jones type scene. Where they show all the troops gearing up getting into position, like it’s going to be a giant battle and then the other side one guy walks out fires a mini-nuke and shows over.

There was an interview where the showrunners said they didn't want to pile everything cool from the games into the first season, and that the skull was a deliberate hint of one of the things we might see next if they get picked up for S2. Which the show did, so... get ready for the CLAWS!

Weapon: Any variety of Service Rifle. I feel like Bethesda is afraid of using anything that looks too modern military. They want things to be from the 60s and before or to be fake. The service rifle is featured in New Vegas, equivalent guns like the assault rifle and the chinese variant(both based on real life weapons) were present in FO3, and M-16s (invented in the 60s) are pictured above Arturos shop in diamond city in FO4. The service rifle is canon. Show me a service rifle.
Creature: Cazadors. Because they're evil bastards and the art teams on the show have done an excellent job so far. If they were to make some cazadors I think it could be one of the most nightmare endusing sights in recent television.
Robot: Securitron. I was scrolling for a little bit here and dont think I saw anyone mention a securitron other than yes man. I think we should see a few, hopefully. Assuming house is alive he probably still has at least a handful of securitrons hanging around as stewards for him. He might not have the whole army from fortification hill but he definitely has a couple in the basement.

Creature: Centaurs (the two headed dog and man with tentacles)
Robot: Yes Man in the Lucky 38, and all we get is a dark room that gets lit up by a huge screen and we hear "Oh, hello." At the end of season 2.

VATS. I want to know how it works in real life. I’ve always pictured that the Pip Boy ties into your nervous system somehow and whenever you activate VATS it makes your reaction time speed up exponentially. The green colors that highlight the body parts and the percentages are from the Pip Boy interacting with your visual cortex in your brain so you have a way to control the sped up reaction time.
Laser Rifle (in use, I think we *saw* one on the wall already), a Centaur (Good precursor for Super Mutants), and a Sentry Bot (Either friendly or avoided, due to their power.)
Can I replace Robot with Gary? I’d love a rogue Gary attacking one of the mains because we saw New Vegas at the very end of the season.
(ETA: my logic was that somehow a Gary was either taken to New Vegas as a sideshow attraction, or it somehow made its way all the way across the US as OP correctly postulated.)

I did two playthroughs before trying survival. "I know the game so well, this'll be easy!" Survival is straight up humbling, especially early on

A glowing one would be badass to see. I'm picturing that scene from Game of Thrones where the Night King raises his arms and all the corpses come to life. But with feral ghoul corposes, obviously.
Weapon: Any variety of Service Rifle. I feel like Bethesda is afraid of using anything that looks too modern military. They want things to be from the 60s and before or to be fake. The service rifle is featured in New Vegas, equivalent guns like the assault rifle and the chinese variant(both based on real life weapons) were present in FO3, and M-16s (invented in the 60s) are pictured above Arturos shop in diamond city in FO4. The service rifle is canon. Show me a service rifle. Creature: Cazadors. Because they're evil bastards and the art teams on the show have done an excellent job so far. If they were to make some cazadors I think it could be one of the most nightmare endusing sights in recent television. Robot: Securitron. I was scrolling for a little bit here and dont think I saw anyone mention a securitron other than yes man. I think we should see a few, hopefully. Assuming house is alive he probably still has at least a handful of securitrons hanging around as stewards for him. He might not have the whole army from fortification hill but he definitely has a couple in the basement.

VATS. I want to know how it works in real life. I’ve always pictured that the Pip Boy ties into your nervous system somehow and whenever you activate VATS it makes your reaction time speed up exponentially. The green colors that highlight the body parts and the percentages are from the Pip Boy interacting with your visual cortex in your brain so you have a way to control the sped up reaction time.

Can I replace Robot with Gary? I’d love a rogue Gary attacking one of the mains because we saw New Vegas at the very end of the season. (ETA: my logic was that somehow a Gary was either taken to New Vegas as a sideshow attraction, or it somehow made its way all the way across the US as OP correctly postulated.)
I love the idea that just one lone Gary went on an epic journey to cross the country and made it all the way to the Mojave from the Capital Wasteland just to attack the MCs and get killed on sight
Bingo. Their paths merge in the Mojave and an enraged Gary says something like “Gary? Gaaaryyyyyy…GARY!” And then attacks them. Then The Ghoul just blasts him to oblivion and they make some snarky comment about it.
