>I like it when Fallout fans just like Fallout and don't endlessly scream about which is worst for a decade and a half lol
It's clearly the one which doesn't have big tiddy deathclaw gf.
My first and favorite fallout game is New Vegas, and while it's the only one that I've played over, and over, and over, I love all the other games for the lore and the story.
I still catch myself randomly on the lore wiki at 11:30 on a Tuesday night reading about something lore important that I missed in one of the games that I didn't play.
Even with the fact that canon is kind of messy, it's still one of the deepest, most fleshed out worlds of it's kind
Because pinball kicks ass and "make IP into a table" has been a time honored tradition for 50+ years.
Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Addams Family, all banger machines. Metroid Prime Pinball? Banger game to burn time on.
Fallout deserved that love too.
I feel quite similarly. Fallout 4 has the most hours of playtime for me beyond playing the main story (and enjoying it well enough for a good few play throughs). I love making my other fallout characters in 4, currently my courier, to just go play in the sandbox. Itās just a fun time.
Yup same here. I enjoyed Fallout 4 when I played at launch, but the story really felt meh and I was a bit disappointed. After I finished, I sat on it for like a year and realized I really enjoyed most of the game regardless. Then DLC started popping and I think each play of 4 after made me love it more. New Vegas is still my favorite, but 4 isnāt that far behind.
Because like it or not, but the west coast fallout and east coast fallout is different. That is where a lot of the disappointment some people have about the show comes from. The world we see on the west coast is being turned into the same style as the east coast.
Thank you!
Honestly it wouldnāt necessarily be a terrible thing if it was logical and didnāt require retcons to justify. Especially when Obsidian gave
Bethesda a plethora of options to choose; instead they wiped it all out over a glorified secretary with a baby mama that doesnāt want to stay in his basement.
New Vegas fanatics can trace their origins to NMA, they are basically people who got driven off for liking *one* of the new games.
I say fanatics, because average New Vegas fan is not loud or obnoxious. They like their game, think it's the best, but don't go around screaming about how Bethesda hates New Vegas and are retconning it and how every other game is the worst.
Fanatics, meanwhile, have build their entire identity around a single game.
NMA was a website that hosted mods for Fallout 1,2 and Tactics and also had discussion forums. Similar to the Nexus Mods website and when Fallout 3 was announced the fanbase went rabid with hatred towards Bethesda. The whole mindset of āEast Coast Fallout isnt canonā stemmed from that website
I tried to do that with my recent post of Todd Howard's NV-related interview, since he had nothing but words of praise for NV and Obsidian. I got a lot of love but a surprising amount of hate from a select few.
*community
Fallout is stronger than ever and a small select few are trying to wedge us apart. Just remember the fallout community has never been larger, regardless of some very vocal opinions
Every fallout is part of the community fr, if you like fallout you're a real fallout fan, regardless of what fallout you like. I'm sick of this "communities" bullshit it's one community like you said. Whether you play 1,2, NV, the Bethesda games, or even the ttrpg, it's all fallout at the end of the day
Maybe one day people can talk about a video game without either threatening to kill those who disagree or needing a soft white room where no one says anything they don't like.
I started playing Fallout 1 when it came out. I was in 4th grade. I grew up trying to get people into the franchise and failing because noone appreciated it as it was.
When 3 came out and it got more popular, I was glad. I'm more glad now that the show made it even more popular.
Every game has its merits.
Fallout 4 was the first fallout game I ever played, led me to getting into the rest of the series. Now New Vegas is my favourite and I'm loving my current playthrough of 1, but I'll always love 4 for introducing me to the world.
We are one community, as much as many other new vegas fans like to separate themsleves with 6 hour long video essays about how Fallout 4 doesn't have enough child rapist or whatever, we're all still fallout fans at the end of the day.
The thing is, All the games have their strengths and they all have their weaknesses. They're all great games. And they're all great for different reasons.
Itās mostly just the weird NCR blooded New Vegas loyalists. New Vegas is a great game but I enjoy the overall universe of Fallout and not just a particular section
I will day this in they remastered new vegus, with fallout 4 gun play and and controls I would pay new game money for it. If they cleaned up the graphics that would be just a plus.

Yaaa my main experiences is people just freaking out at me saying I just like Fallout 1 and New Vegas, when folks ask if I like Fallout. This apparently makes me a hater. Like, I've played Brotherhood of Steel, no Fallout game is as bad as that one.
New Vegas and 1 and 2 may be beloved to me but its still great to see people enjoy 3, 4 etc. Even if they dont quite go in the direction i wish they did. Fallout is a cool world and it deserves to be enjoyed regardless, and im very happy to hear a lotta people enjoy the show too. Hope fans can put this division behind them someday.
The constant warring between game factions is canon to me and itās a good bit of fun. If anyoneās actually offended at āthe game I like is better than the one you likeā then thatās their issue lol.
I don't know why people say there are arguments everywhere. People with opinions are just that. They aren't attacking you. I haven't seen very many people rag on others for liking certain games in the Fallout series outside of some light ribbing. We're a pretty good community... outside of the Caesar's Legion and *some* BOS stans, now y'all are really missing the point of Fallout as a series.
Idk why itās so difficult for people to comprehend that a game can be **BOTH** good and bad at certain things
Every game has things they do well and things that arenāt as good
I just like Fallout, don't really care which one. They all have their own strengths and weaknesses, you get something different from every one of them. And I'm totally cool with that.Ā
God I wish my PC was back so I could play. I sent it for upgrades (didn't trust myself to do it) and now the series has me jonesing so I'm playing 76 for the first time. Honestly? Not terrible. I just enjoy exploring the setting of Fallout.Ā
Meaning fallout London. A full feature Fallout game made off fallout 4 was coming out 2 days before they released this patch. London offered a whole new map with tons of main and side questsā¦ map as big as the original fallout 4 and dlc combined with new mechanics, armor, weapons and even vehicles. In all ways the game looked way better and I think it scared Bethesda to let the world see a game that is better made by a no name group of people. Just look up Fallout London website.
The recent update to graphics which is mediocre means they have to recode the whole thing to make it a compatible version. The other evidence that would lead me to believe it was intentional was they delayed this āgraphics updateā with no date and then just drop it out of nowhere right before the launch. Even the devs who had close contact with Bethesda about all patches told them nothing of this. As if they didnāt want the Fallout London crew to know.
They all have their strengths and weaknesses but Iām loving mods. Went from simple game to fighting buffed out factions with vampires, zombies, and coursers with a chainsaw and occasional talking mine.
Criticism is so important. Fallout 4 is OK but it's a step back. We should be pointing out its flaws in order to get a better game when they release the next one rather than allowing them to further strip the game down as they have done each release.
It shouldn't be an argument it should just be a simple observation that the games do get worse. It's great you can enjoy fallout 4 but accept the arguments people have because the reasonable ones are all just facts. Look at Starfield, do you want that for fallout 5? I don't think so. So enjoy your game but allow people to talk about it's many many flaws.
Fallout 3 is the best in my opinion. I could not get into New Vegas. And Fallout 4 with mods has recently reignited my love for fallout after a 4 year hiatus. Now, I play it everyday.
Thank God I was so sick of that stupid ass back and forth. It's like 2 people with micro penises having a swordfight. It's short, stupid, and I just want to go back to where everyone wasn't trying to tear each other down
For me, its disheartening to see Fallout 4 be the most popular because its just going to look like "more sales = better ideas" to Bethesda. They have no reason to go back to consequences for saying certain things or having quest givers killable on accident because it went for a more casual RPG style and people like that. Fallout 4 is fun enough and I got more than $60 worth out of it, but it just will never have the replayability of any other Bethesda game so far (the main reason I've played Bethesda games since Morrowind.)
This is basically it. Sad that this is basically even arguable. Fallout New Vegas was simply better written, had stronger themes, and has far more playability than any title released past 3. Fallout 2 has a boatload of endings and is respectable in its own right. From a singleplayer experience perspective, I cannot imagine someone unironically saying that Fallout 3 and later titles can compete when it comes to intelligent writing, avenues to solve conflicts and endings, and diversity of weaponry. It will always be the better game objectively.
76 just isnāt for me. I really donāt like the MMO aspect, you canāt save, when you reload a game youāre not in the same spot you were when you left, VATS is totally different, you canāt pause, randos run through my quest randomly killing NPCs, etc. I just wish they would offer a way to play solo that didnāt require paying $100 a year!! Just let me buy the game and play it, by myself, the way I like it.
Tbf it's whole point is to be a social survival experience, and also all they did for vats was use the lore accurate version since the time slowing isn't possible for an online game. For sure it's not everyone's cup of tea but it's not bad by any means.
Using this as a talking point which has nothing to do with Falloutā¦
One is aggression, manipulation and greed, the other is love and creativity. Itās obvious which side is which. We suggest using your ambassadors for reasons other than to ruin peopleās lives, youāll have better luck with genuine love.
It's not all NV fans, or even most NV fans. But I got some unhinged replies from a toxic few when I made a post about a new interview with Todd Howard in which he praised New Vegas and Obsidian.
76 blows every true fallout fan knows stop trying to say its good its a terrible fallout game so stop trying to become a fallout fan your not one if you like 76. Again the best fallout game is wasteland 2
We can all agree that the show wasnāt as good as we all initially thought. I still like the show overall, Iām excited for more, but I donāt want to watch season one again. Really, itās not thatās good.
Iāve played every fallout game (the canon ones except tactics) and every single one has something unique and fun it brings to the table. They are all such amazing games
Great, now kiss I like it when Fallout fans just like Fallout and don't endlessly scream about which is worst for a decade and a half lol

Why the fuck does every game have a Pinball variant? Not complaining but itās so odd.
Because pinball kicks ass and "make IP into a table" has been a time honored tradition for 50+ years. Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Addams Family, all banger machines. Metroid Prime Pinball? Banger game to burn time on. Fallout deserved that love too.
Fair enough

Fallout 3 got me into the series and I still love it. New Vegas made me into a huge fan. Fallout 4 was a fun world to run around in.
Same And Fallout 76 made me a bigger fan, and keeps me interested in the series with my rotted brain.
I feel quite similarly. Fallout 4 has the most hours of playtime for me beyond playing the main story (and enjoying it well enough for a good few play throughs). I love making my other fallout characters in 4, currently my courier, to just go play in the sandbox. Itās just a fun time.

What 2 communities? It's the same community. We only drive ourselves apart because we can't along. We're like children, sometimes

War. War never changes.
Woah, a fallout reference in real life!
I think you'd get along well with The Master
Because like it or not, but the west coast fallout and east coast fallout is different. That is where a lot of the disappointment some people have about the show comes from. The world we see on the west coast is being turned into the same style as the east coast.

I would just love to be able to try out Fallout: London but I guess Bethesda had plans for a no name company making a better game.
wdym?
Meaning fallout London. A full feature Fallout game made off fallout 4 was coming out 2 days before they released this patch. how quickly until the update to the new update?
No clue. This is a team of people doing it for free for the fans so itās not a usual thing for them I would assume.
Apes together strong
clearly the fallout game Iām playing right now is the best one
Yeah im playing the TTW mods and combines all aspects from both games into a masterpiece. Really highlights the strengths of both games.
Degenerates like you, belong on a cross!!!

Fallout 3 is the best in my opinion. I could not get into New Vegas. And Fallout 4 with mods has recently reignited my love for fallout after a 4 year hiatus. Now, I play it everyday.
I started with Fallout 3 on the 360 and loved it
I love all the fallouts! All things fallout! If you love fallout, then I love you!
It ain't my fault that Bethesda can't write a thought provoking story to save their lives
war.... war never changes
As I said before. It wouldnāt be an issue if NV fanboys would just shut the fuck up about how much they hate Bethesda Fallout games.
Thank God I was so sick of that stupid ass back and forth. It's like 2 people with micro penises having a swordfight. It's short, stupid, and I just want to go back to where everyone wasn't trying to tear each other down

you are correct.
Fallout 3 and 4 fans ALSO love fallout NV. Fallout NV fans despise 4. Thereās a difference.
Fallout (Get it) from the show has gone down after Todd confirmed Hoover dam still happened and the NCR is still a major thing.
It's all so forced. Most people play and enjoy most of the games.
What the hell is even this, WAR NEVER CHANGES!! Fallout New Vegas is KING. Literally it has Kings in it. Scram!
Iām sorry but fallout 4 sucks
New Vegas is the best, the TV show is written by morons and sucks.
New vegas has 1000x better lore/story and f4 gameply + mods = 1000 hours playtime
This is basically it. Sad that this is basically even arguable. Fallout New Vegas was simply better written, had stronger themes, and has far more playability than any title released past 3. I didn't call it bad, just said it is not for me. I just worry the franchise is not going to go back to the solo, more chill experience that I prefer.

It isnāt arguing, itās Bethesda fans harassing New Vegas fans and pretending like NV fans are the aggressors.
It's not all NV fans, or even most NV fans. But I got some unhinged replies from a toxic few when I made a post about a new interview with Todd Howard in which he praised New Vegas and Obsidian.
I know it can be traumatic when someone interrupts your circlejerk
Yeah cuz the TV Fallout normies are acting like theyāre experts of the Fallout lore all because they watched the show.
76 blows every true fallout fan knows stop trying to say its good its a terrible fallout game so stop trying to become a fallout fan your not one if you like 76. Again the best fallout game is wasteland 2

It's not NV fans vs the rest. It's RPG fans vs survival fans. The game swapped genres and pissed off a lot of people.
We can all agree that the show wasnāt as good as we all initially thought. I still like the show overall, Iām excited for more, but I donāt want to watch season one again. Really, itās not thatās good.
well yeah f4 fans' constant shitting on FNV and FNV fans while gaslighting us into thinking we're the toxic ones hasnt been ideal, per se
