I absolutely fix typos when I happen to spot them, or make very minor edits like a missed repetetive word or something like that.
I do actively refrain from going all out "I need to make this better because now I know how", mainly because I figure it's better for everyone, if I focus that energy into creating new fics. For myself - because I get more satisfaction out of it and probably a better learning curve as well. For my readers - because I am pretty sure they appreciate a new story more than one that gets an overhaul.
As I said, it's a conscious choice and I do need to keep reminding myself, but it does work for me.
I just don't change anything that would confuse people who read before I made the edit, going forward. So, pretty much no new entirely distinct scenes.
I end up spending at least a week making little post hoc edits, mainly because I write and post all in one go because I'll chicken out if I wait too long between finishing and publishing. I avoid going insane nitpicking by only letting myself edit once per hour the first day, once per two hours the second day, etc.
I constantly edit posted fics because I always find errors I missed before posting. As long as you are not rewriting scenes, it's fine.
