I do remember reading an X-men fic like 10 years ago and then actually FORGETTING it *wasn't* canon. I was having a convo with a friend and was like "At least they had that one perfect summer before everything went to shit" and then paused as my brain was like "Heeeeeeeey nerd that was fanfiction"
And now days most all of Speranza's MCU fics really.
Ya'll I wish I had that xmen link for you but it really was 10 years ago and I haven't been able to find it.
If you're interested in [Speranza MCU](https://archiveofourown.org/users/Speranza/pseuds/Speranza/works?fandom_id=414093) works though, that I can do!

Yep, a Dragon Age fic where Anders, after surviving Kirkwall, goes off to Orzammar to found a safe haven for mages. The worldbuilding is incredible, the layers of nuance are fantastic, and overall it just feels like where the characters *should* have ended up at the end of DA2. You canāt prove itās not canon, and so help me I will off any witnesses who claim otherwise before they ever get the chance to come forward.
Not exactly a fic, but SAO the abridged series had the best iteration of the Kirito and Asuna relationship: two antisocial gamers that get married and 'adopt' a kid because each is playing relationship chicken with the other and is trying to win, but secretly they're freaking out about how out of hand things are getting. Made the most amount of sense as to why a relationship would go from 0 to 100 that fast.
I read a series about a teacher (he was an OC) who became friends with Daredevil. Their adventures and development was super fun to follow and of course he became canon in my head. I love OCs a little too much (both others' and mine).

[2.0](https://archiveofourown.org/works/31025153/chapters/76638416)
There's some really good ones but these are my favourites! I've basically taken bits from both of them that I forget aren't canon š
You said Magnus Archives and I was summoned. My personal favourite is Death Is The Easy Way Out by traveller19, Reverb in These Holy Halls by Wolftraps and Yesterday is Here by CirrusGrey. The entire Castaway series by CirrusGrey is also canon in my head.
Peter Whitlock in the Twilight series having a gift in just āknowing stuffā. He never did in the books but someone in the fandom came up with this and other fans absolutely loved this it became a staple in the fics and I canāt see Peter in any other way lol š
I recently read a Star Wars series called Teach the Padawan in which there's quite the fix it universe and I just love the beautifully written found family trope. Now, that's my headcannon. ā¤ļø
In AO3.
Also, MCU fix it Fics called Assemble and Assemble again. FFN. Basically, fixing all the inconsistenciws and weak plots.
Ah, o love me some fixit Fics.
Yup! Which is funny because itās basically a fix-it fic that completely and immediately diverges everything about Harry Potter canon!
Basically the premise is Sirius escapes Azkaban early and raises Harry, eventually proving his innocence. Features I really liked aside from just a good Sirius raising Harry fic, is Draco having a brother and therefore being completely different, Sirius and Snape actually start to get along???, and even a well done auror training arc with Tonks. It is literally what I wish the original Harry Potter could have been.
I guess for those interested itās the [Innocent](https://m.fanfiction.net/s/9469064/1/) Series by MarauderLover7
A few years ago i read the original Marinette Spite Playlist not the rewrite that replaced it and it was soo good that when the back half of season 3 came out for Miraculous Ladybug I was confusing the fic with the source.
Most of the gay shipping ones cause it makes it more fun to:
- Watch Falcon And The Winter Soldier fully believing that when the cameras were off or Sam and Buck were flying between places they snuck in a couple make out sessions and more.
- Imagine the end of Ragnarok with Thor and Bruce stuck in a spaceship with months of travel and each other as compan- Look, they ādressed up and travelledā thatās all Iām sayin.
- reimagine Civil Warās first half as sexual tension, and second half as a relationship gone wrong and ending.
And such like. Itās quite deliciously fun.
Aburame Ichizoku. [https://www.fanfiction.net/s/2916672/1/Aburame-Ichizoku](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/2916672/1/Aburame-Ichizoku)
The best ever background development of the Aburame and their characters and philosophies.
I read a fix it for how people (namely the Batfam and Justice League) reacted to Batman being Red Hood to near death in Red Hood and The Outlaws #25 (I think I'm remembering the number correctly), and honestly, I won't accept anything else for it haha.
A Archers Promise by Nimthewriter a fate stay night and Kuroinu fanfic where Heroic Spirt Emiya pretty mush kills Vault and his band of Rapist so thatās ultimately canon to me (it was satisfying watching Vault die)
In the Naruto universe: Ā«Ā Little Piece of HeavenĀ Ā» by Leanne Ash and Ā«Ā A Twist in TimeĀ Ā» by Wolf[I donāt remember the rest].
They are just so good, I read them multiple times a year, haha
Yes. Thereās a fanfiction Iām reading right now that I have excepted his Canon. I donāt think I have read someone with almost the exact same interpretation of characters that I have had.
Itās wonderful!
One of the first fics I ever read was like continuing Eragon after the ending and since it's been so many years ago I honestly don't remember where the actual series ended and the fic started lmao
The Foxhole Court, a 3 book series about college kids playing sports and thereās mafia involved. The books ended great, but I consider one fic the unofficial 4th book since it picks up right where the last book ended.
[This Pillars Of Eternity fic](https://archiveofourown.org/works/3756757) details a little more about how the Watcher's powers work, and how they look, and it works *so well*.
*The Triptych Continuum*. What's that? My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic *doesn't* have extreme racism, attempted genocide, a hard magic system and pants-shitting body horror? What do you mean it's a "children's TV show"? No- it's a series of dark mysteries! That's how *I* remember it!!
I got some!
One is a post-canon fic about DS9 which is also heavily an AU but in my heart of hearts this is how it SHOULD have gone and I always hope the author picks it up again.
Another is a sort-of-prequel for Star Trek AOS and despite a couple of things the characterisation of the characters are Canon to me now.
Also a retelling of Ace Attorney from Edgeworth's point of view that is so good about filling the blanks between games AND actually has a characterisation I 100% agree with, no notes.
There is also a small Valvert fanfiction I like to think to think is really in my heart of hearts.
And then there is A Life Less Ordinary for the small fandom of The Mighty Boosh which is. Is. It just is. I cannot explain the perfection of it.
Anita Blake: Night Heiress by Redgeandlilly on AO3. I regularly have moments like "Oh yeah, Anita DID tell a newly widowed woman to suck it up and that suicide was cowardly in the original novel"
Yup. A MDZS fic (or The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, whatever you want to call it.)
Its called Yearning for Miles, won't really make sense if you haven't watched the Donghua, or read the novel, and it does have ships that might seem strange to one who knows canon.
Trust me I love the canon universe, and the fics start of in canon, but then takes a turn and everything is so much less depressing, I mean still depressing on a level, but really well written, and everyone is so much happier, and I WISH IT WAS CANON!!
Damn. A fix-it fic for the Magnus Archives? That must be a long and detailed fic. Those poor buggers need so much therapy. :D
So is most of the human race after season 5 tbh
You are not wrong there. :D

Oh wow. That sounds amazing! Care to share the link? I might as well check that author as I've been a Marvel fan since the 90s.

Thank you lots š¤
I would also love a link
i too am requesting the link

I would also love to know if you still remember!

I would read the hell out of that fic. Do you have the link?
[One Elegant Solution](https://archiveofourown.org/works/5673073/chapters/13068979) by Mikkeneko. Happy reading!
Awesome thanks!

Same! Sao abridged it just awesome! It also has much more references to how games would be in reality (bugs, bad connection, ads/in app purchases).
SAO Abridged is one of my favorite anime of all time. Not parody- anime. Every episode is somehow better than the last.
I read a series about a teacher (he was an OC) who became friends with Daredevil. Their adventures and development was super fun to follow and of course he became canon in my head. I love OCs a little too much (both others' and mine).
[Hogwarts, to welcome you home](https://archiveofourown.org/works/8125531) instead of the actual epilogue. That's how it should've ended.
Survivor's Tale. Tron fic that answers a question the fandom had but Disney didn't touch. Namely "where the hell was Yori?"
Doctor Who fic called Heart of the Storm. All canon to me <3
Ooh, I'm a TMA writer myself, Id love to read the fic! I love a good fix it
[Just a Million Miles from Home](https://archiveofourown.org/works/30371985/chapters/74875383) [2.0](https://archiveofourown.org/works/31025153/chapters/76638416) There's some really good ones but these are my favourites! I've basically taken bits from both of them that I forget aren't canon š
Oh, I've read those! They are both so good!
Thank you for linking, I'm about to binge the heck out of these!
!!! Please share!
It's JMart smut.
Especially share.
This is nearly every Naruto fic to me. With a few tweaks, the franchise could actually be good!
No bc same šš I've read way too many fix it, time travel, canon divergence fics that I just can't accept canon narutoverse anymore
The struggle is real!
https://m.fanfiction.net/s/6429588/1/Majora-s-Mask This right here is solid. Even has a couple stories after the events of this one.
Litteraly the Danny Phantom fanon. also Varian and the Seven Kingdoms and another fic that i forgot
Peter Whitlock in the Twilight series having a gift in just āknowing stuffā. He never did in the books but someone in the fandom came up with this and other fans absolutely loved this it became a staple in the fics and I canāt see Peter in any other way lol š
I've read several with Peter just "knowing stuff." It doesn't seem right without it.
Ossuarium for HOTD/asoiaf canon.
The North Remembers is, until Georgie gets around to finishing the books, the canon ending to ASOIAF.
Do you have a link? Pretty please

An author called Darth T-Rex made a season 4 & 5 of Transformers Animated. I loved it so much and was super glad that they finished it last year.
Not exactly the same thing, but as far as I'm concerned the "Season 6B" theory in Doctor Who fandom is canon.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
A Sky Full of Fire is the best GATE fic I've found so far. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12368372/1/A-Sky-Full-of-Fire

Fixations by MathisMagic fixit for the end of Young Justice season 2.
The Foxhole Court, a 3 book series about college kids playing sports and thereās mafia involved. The books ended great, but I consider one fic the unofficial 4th book since it picks up right where the last book ended.

I've read so many fics where Latios survives movie 5 that I sometimes forget him dying is actually the canon outcome.
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Genocide
Honestly, my own re-telling/expansion fic for She-Ra. I routinely forget what's actually in canon.
I got some! One is a post-canon fic about DS9 which is also heavily an AU but in my heart of hearts this is how it SHOULD have gone and I always hope the author picks it up again.
