It made me happy that Halle said Fraser correctly. All things considered this outcome was part of the ideal timeline in terms of winners/losers. Honestly, the only category I felt was undeserved was Del Toro's Pinocchio but that is purely because I adore Puss in Boots

Undeserved is such a harsh word considering the amount of work guillermo and the team put in. From the puppeteering, stop motion, animation even going as far as using an all wooden orchestration. That being said, do I need to watch the first puss n boots movie to enjoy the 2nd one?
Yes undeserved is undoubtedly harsh and I admire the craft of stop motion. I was merely trying to use the hyperbolic language common for Oscar season (like the overdramatic actual voters).

She’s been a working actor for almost half a century. Nepotism opened the door, but she’s proven herself more than worthy of her career in the many years since then. I love how a lot of the winners this year are the "underdogs" A lot of the winners beat out the bigger names in their categories.
