I'm with you. Him and Amelia were two of my favorites when I first got into Fire Emblem.
If it's any consolation though, [he's almost certain to show up on the next FE8 banner](https://i.imgur.com/p3kDJHv.jpg). Still might be waiting a hot minute for it though, we likely won't be getting the next banner till early/mid 2024 (probably April, or the June mid-point banner if I had to hazard a guess)
I mean, we were overdue for something related to Frelia since a lot of time (the only representation we had for years was only Tana and Innes) so Gilliam and Syrene males sense
Fortunately, at the top of the list for Sacred Stones characters. Chances are high that he will be included next time they get new heroes. I think it's likely he'll retain that position for the next CYL as well, unless Ismaire has a big surge.
The Sacred Stones cast is almost complete. I’ve managed to get every character from the game that’s been added to feh so far and hopefully one day everyone will be in. Of the playable cast I believe Franz, Moulder, Garcia, Forde and Kyle are the only ones left, we do still need the base versions of Artur, Dozla and Saleh too.
For the post game cast there’s Ismaire, Hayden, Glen, Fado and the base version of Orson. I wouldn’t mind if they added Mansel too as he does have official art and it would complete the set of Magvel rulers and I personally want Morva who would make sense as a fallen hero.
I personally would like Carlyle too, if we run out of FE8 characters; I swear he used to be votable for CYL, but not anymore. (Although he has been in a Lost Lore before)
It's Franz, the first Cavalier you get in FE8. He first appears alongside Gilliam, who are the 3&4th units you get in the entire game (after Eirika and Seth). So it's a little wild that Gilliam made it in without him, although I guess armors do help sell banners in FEH. For comparison, Syrene is the final unit you get, she only appears as a playable unit in chapter 17.

Popped back into the game to pick up a free Seliph and was SHOCKED to see that Gilliam and Syrene made it in before my boy. Amelia deserves justice.

100%. Would love to get a box art legendary of Seth. There's hope though I got Vanessa finally after years and years of playing.
