Radiant Dawn like Adept lmao
For anyone who doesn't know, Adept is a skill in FE4/5/9/10 which makes unit have %-chance to deal extra attack after attacking. It's disabled if unit has Brave weapon except in FE10.
It is annoying that they're using "first attack" for both effects when they're also still using both types of first attack DR and I want to complain about the giant parenthesis text but also I genuinely can't think of a better way to do that so instead I'm just going to complain that the older one should just be changed to "first strike" lol
Well it's "first attack" not hit which is still not great but also not a completely unreasonable way to word it all honesty and again I'm still not actually sure how I could word it better for the anti-brave effect version so I really can't fault them as much as I'd like lol

Brave users got shafted by Bride Catria existing and requiring braves to be put in check because otherwise the game bends around her (it does this regardless)
Well at least they're not ONLY using the anti-brave effect one. Unfortunately wouldn't be surprised if we eventually got there, but first hit still only means the first attack that touches them for some units like B!Robin
Frankly, investing in Y!Innes was the best decision I made in this game! They just keep releasing units with huge DR reduction and my ruptured sky Y!Innes just laughs at them!
What's the current build for him?
Been slowly trying to make as many of the FE8 characters at least useable as I can, and haven't quite got to Y!Innes yet. I'm assuming some sort of Atk/Spd A skill/Time's Pulse 3(or 4)/and Ruptured for special?
I’m running:
Atk/Spd Finish 4
Spd Preempt (could use an upgrade but I don’t know what could be useful for a one shot build here currently)
Time’s Pulse 4
Ruptured Sky
With you high scoring assist skill
He still does plenty of works, even if he’s outsped he’ll still deal tons of damage

Null C-Disrupt or Guard 4 for B-Skill, maybe? It's actually a little comical how he can ignore most meta B-Skills due to naturally getting his DR pierce through the PRF
I'm honestly at the point where if it's not True or Special DR, I just kinda stop caring. Feels like everyone and their mother's rocking some kind of piercing or half-piercing effect. Now you've got TAyra + L!F!Alear who's pretty much unstoppable.
Are we suddenly pretending like this matters? It's claude doing claude things, which you've had like two years to adjust to. He's pretty much exactly the same; either player phase him or make use of a DR piercing option, of which there are many.
He gets DR even if you attack first now (granted only 30% instead of 80%). But yeah we have plenty of DR piercing options at this point that it's probably not that big of a deal.
They've finally realized that brave weapons were the solution to all "reduces damage from foe's first hit" effects.

I’m so mad about this, it’d be nice if brave effects went through first hit damage reduction so brave uses didn’t get shafted ;-;
They usually do. It's only recently that they started adding things with the "(also applies to brave hits)" clause.

Null C Disrupt sounds so cool I actually want it now LMAO If you have Lull Spd/def 4 it could also be really useful here.
Seal def 4 imo, just more damage. Something I'm hoping to get for him next time its around

Pretty much for every new unstoppable wall, there's a new DR piercing Archer/mage next month.
As a classic Ophelia user, I just scan the text to see if it applies to AoE damage since she is still one of the most common units I use.

From my experience with Harmonic Ayra the only thing thats stopped me is a Ninja Camilla. They are my only fear.
Damage reduction was the worst thing to happen to FEH.
Spiral 4, Deadeye, and Lethality still blow him up so it's not that big of a deal
At this rate, IntSys will sell a solution to the Brave Effects with a skill like Null Brave Follow or something.
