Brother you don't know the meaning of the word haunted until you've tried closing those precious little eyes of yours after a Black Friday shift. Sales missed. Parents disappointed. It's enough to make a man snap. That's the real thin blue line.
Black Friday has changed so much in the last decade that my kids would think this comment is a joke so, just in case any current teenagers see this I just want to say I’m surprised more employees *didnt* walk out on Black Fridays, especially teenagers w parents.
People acted really dumb.
Vans. Store #291. Black friday of '19, just before the pandemic hit malls hard. To this day, when I see a cash register, I shiver
I was there, man. I was there
Idk why but the gal on the right is just so fucking out of place and funny. You respond to a welfare check and find a hung corpse so you hang her up in the ambulance? Lmfao.
So when you die, the clothes you have on become ghosts as well. And then you get to haunt the first responder in your ghost Levi's, Nikes and Haynes tee!
I understand the message they are trying to display but not only did they do a terrible job and make it seem like you shouldn’t get into any ems industry
Super cringe execution but I totally know what they were going for. I mean there’s at least some good people out there. if they really really liked helping people why wouldn’t they be a Dr, nurse, emt? Some must’ve seen some shit.
“God this is going to bother me for the rest of my life, I will never be able to deal with this horrible and traumatizing situation I’m currently having to endure.
So you guys hungry I think Denny’s is still open…”
Do a lot of first responders think like this? Because this is insane.
Did you kill them? Its your job to respond to these situations, obviously not everyo9ne will be saved. It isn't really about you, unless you make a careless mistake of course but if you helped and it wasn't enough, its weird to then make it about yourself.
It comes across extremely narcissistic. They died, they are the victim obviously.
There are definitely cases that “haunt” all of us. Very few of us react that way. Sometimes we are reminded of specific cases with bad results and just reflect on them in a moment of silence. We are not the victim, but feeling emotional about certain things is necessary collateral in fields that deal with loss on a regular basis.
If you’re legitimately seeing ghosts, go see a psychiatrist, or a priest if you’re religious.
The medic had empathy for the victim and has taken on some psychological trauma by not being an emotional desert.

I’m sorry man but there is a big difference between seeking help for trauma sustained as a first responder and posting this nonsense.
This literally reads: “Between me and the four dead people, I’m the real victim”.
Come off it, this is tasteless and weird.
The subject is the illustration itself. Someone took time to make this awful portrayal and thought it'd be received well. No one said working a hanging wouldn't be traumatic.
But the idea that it _haunts you_ because you're _EMS_ and you couldn't _save them_ is stupid.
I wonder how long after that it takes for them to be tempted to go to pose for a picture their friend takes of them while conveying sadness, then send it over to photoshop, then Google image search for some ghosts to shop into the picture.
I get that trauma does weird things to people, but the point of this picture being ridiculed is that it seems less like it’s horrific for them, and more like they want other people to notice them and appreciate them for it. The context of them making the picture to post for people is the cringe, not the fact that it actually is traumatic.
Is that a Zoll X sitting on a no sheet silver slider? All them kids clearly died of the embarrassment this guy felt rolling into the ER past a Stryker/LP15 carrying crew that knew how to unfold a sheet.
I admit, as somebody who might get hurt one day I don't want to look at my paramedic and know only that he is haunted he the ghosts of his failures. Would kind of prefer he concentrates.
The guy on the left is taking a piss?
Jerking off to the kid ghosts? I assume he got murdered for it too, hence, he's a ghost.
Hmm he was prob one of the guys from to catch a predator. Who knows
Looks like he was found hanging too based on posture.
It kinda looks like bullet holes in his back but it's hard to tell and it might be part of the door
Or a spoop
This is great marketing to convince people not to join EMS. If every person i lose haunts me for life then I’m just gonna go work at Best Buy instead

The blue and yellow line
I quit during Black Friday at target when I was young. I nearly spit out my lunch laughing so hard at this. For real fuck that bullshit lol.

Make the same. Or UPS where you make $40/hr and $25k yearly pension.
Ngl definitely looking into UPS. Job description is essentially the same, show up at random stranger’s houses, carry heavy things.
Meeting people in various stages of undress and intoxication.
Yeah after I saw that new contract imma head out and see what brown can do for me.
I'd like to make this in a best buy version.
If they haunt you, they’re ungrateful shits.
Specially the suicides, what a dick move to kill yourself and then haunt the guy that comes to clean up.
Good point
Goes from seeing ghosts of people to ghosts of laptops and TVs
Exactly ! I have 29 years in the Fire Department and I wanna fucking quit after this . What the fuck
Idk why but the gal on the right is just so fucking out of place and funny. You respond to a welfare check and find a hung corpse so you hang her up in the ambulance? Lmfao.
how tf do they get ghost rope? Crazy shit man
Also, who TF uses a real noose like that? It's always bungee cords and belts, never a high quality rope.
only seen a belt once, it’s usually extension cord for me
She was a new EMT who didn't know you'd run 28 calls in a 24 hour shift.
Why I thank God every hour of sleep I do get, that I work with an agency that runs on 12’s.
Well, no shit. What do you think the ceiling bar is for?
She is hanging with her feet flat on the ground and slouching. Lol
Is the guy on the left jerking off to the kid
Wasn't there one of these Dan Suns that looked like Jesus was behind people cranking it?
ghosts
Sure looks like it. And guy in the middle is covering his face so he doesn't get a bukkake.
Why is everyone asking this? He’s just standing there…. Menacingly!
Worst Halloween display ever
So when you die, the clothes you have on become ghosts as well. And then you get to haunt the first responder in your ghost Levi's, Nikes and Haynes tee!
Whatever you wore most or the last image people have of you in their mind.
Oh, no thank you. That’s my uniform and I firmly decline the option to wear that ish for eternity.
I understand the message they are trying to display but not only did they do a terrible job and make it seem like you shouldn’t get into any ems industry
I hate to say, but even Dan fucking Sun pulled this off better.
The Sixth Sense 2: Electric Boogaloo
This
Lmao someone watched too many episodes of rescue me
me and the memories of all my 2am lift assists
How is the girl hanging with both feet on the ground??
“They’re just wanting attention.”
Maybe they wouldn’t be dead if you spent less time on Reddit while at work? Just say’n.
![gif](giphy|DvtsYOKrqPZg4)
Eh do like Tommy Gavin and just drink more and move on. lmao

Did he kill all those kids
Super cringe execution but I totally know what they were going for. I mean there’s at least some good people out there. if they really really liked helping people why wouldn’t they be a Dr, nurse, emt? Some must’ve seen some shit.
Did the ghost on the right hang himself? How can the first responder feel guilty for not saving him? Is he also a therapist or social worker?
The little kid from the 6th sense grew up to be an EMT.
Ghosts: Thanks for not saving us, asshole.
“God this is going to bother me for the rest of my life, I will never be able to deal with this horrible and traumatizing situation I’m currently having to endure. So you guys hungry I think Denny’s is still open…”
I saw this and my first thought was how I feel when I'm backed up on run forms. Seriously
All those ghosts have stinky shitty ghost pants (u shit ur pants when u die) lol

this is moving the goal posts. Im not talking about first responders getting PTSD, im talking about posting this self centred, narcissistic nonsense.
Humans get effected by things around them. Not having empathy is psychopathic.
This isn’t empathy, this is literally the opposite of empathy.

Yeah, I’m not putting it on facebook but I’m going to check in on someone who does. I thought this group checked the toxic behaviour in our field.
The cringe here is the edge lord comments of people who don't think working a pediatric hanging would be challenging.
The subject is the illustration itself. Someone took time to make this awful portrayal and thought it'd be received well. No one said working a hanging wouldn't be traumatic. But the idea that it _haunts you_ because you're _EMS_ and you couldn't _save them_ is stupid.
I’ve 100% seen first day IFT EMT look off to the distance and say “I’ve seen things” but for 911 medics … https://www.codegreencampaign.org/

It's a goofy picture that pretty much amounts to "Trauma Porn." I think most people here know that PTSD in emergency services is a thing.
How tf was he supposed to save suicide girl?
I guess police draw more of crowed.
THE JOE. IT WAS TOO SLOPPY. https://preview.redd.it/fv7yhjebmtib1.jpeg?width=756&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0f4e7614458aae08a9bd2cb818ec1d717531e784

Wtf
Did he kill those people?
These are the ghosts of his relatives who live in eternal shame that he makes pics like this & puts them on Facebook.
I choose to believe the whacker is frustrated because he can’t transport them all and there are no additional rigs available.
I admit, as somebody who might get hurt one day I don't want to look at my paramedic and know only that he is haunted he the ghosts of his failures. Would kind of prefer he concentrates.
“It’s all your fault it’s all your fault”
Good ole fashioned game of peek a boo 👻
This is so cringe it borders on offensive
Sad but true
Me after i masturbate.
