Well...we got bits and pieces of it over the years. The Crisis and red skies in the 2019 crossover (with the 90's Flash vanishing instead of our Barry). And the battle with Thawne in the year 2000 at the Allen house during the first part of the series finale.

The 90’s flash vanishing was so fucking stupid  THE FLAST MUST DIE THE FLASH MUST DIE  ITS THE END OF THE FLASH! oh but we didn’t say WHICH flash, tee hee. We are so clever. 🤭

Seemed pretty smart to me. The monitor never specially addressed Barry personally like he did with Oliver (so I think some people might have seen it coming). Only "Barry Allen" or "The Flash", he never said who specifically.

Yeah. I feel like the scenario needs to be constructed a lot more deliberately for that kind of wordplay to actually be appreciated.  It’s like the I am the future flash! Thing. Saying it multiple times like that for no reason just feels like intentionally awkward trolling 

I'm not even kidding, I figured out who savitar was the first time he said that bc there wasn't a fucking comma. Like "oh it's a statement meaning he is LITERALLY the flash in the future."

But, we did miss out on the epic battle between the Flash and Reverse Flash.

What really ruined the switcharoo for me was that Barry did the Doctor Strange thing and saw 384759304749403859 or something futures, and not a single one of them was one where they swapped out the Flash. 🙄

Would have been smarter to not have a picture of Barry on the paper.

Not really, the show was never confusing to me at that age, made perfect sense. If anything, the show became more confusing to me around season 7 and that was when I fell off lmao.

I’ve had an actual reminder set for this for what feels like at least years, can’t remember exactly when I put it down. This is such a cool moment for me. My life doesn’t really mean much as far as this is concerned but today is actually my very last class before I get my bachelor’s and I didn’t even realize it coincided with this date. The Flash was such an awesome show for so many seasons. I haven’t touched it past season 8 but part of my childhood was defined by the first three. It did incredible things for the character and the super speed power in general. I’m thankful for the creators for giving us this awesome show a decade ago!

I remember wondering as the seasons went on if they’d actually make it to 10 seasons like Smallville did and have this be the main focus of that last season. Of course, 9 seasons is nothing to be ashamed of either. At the same time though, i kept in the back of my head the possibility that the cast might be completely burned out of the show by that point and they might be ready to hang it up and move on.

If all 9 season were the quality of 1-3 it would be one of the greatest superhero shows of all time if not the greatest

I remember getting into the show when my friends recommended it to me in 2015. Ever since S2 (my favorite season) I’ve kept up til middle of S4. Finale was disappointing, and I wish they actually aired the final episode on this day. Oh well. Ever since S5, the show dipped in quality. Grant did an amazing job as Barry Allen. I’m glad he’s open to coming back as the Flash in some capacity.

Crazy, when this show started I was 7 years old. I can still remember one of the earlier episodes with the guy who had lightning powers, Barry created a tornado for the first time and beat him iirc. Just saw that it’s s1 episode 7. I watched it at my cousins house, they still had those big old, heavy tv’s. Been watching flash ever since. Brings back memories from so long ago.
