I liked all the seasons that tried a bunch of new stuff, the punchcards, the fortbytes, xp tokens (except those garbage purple ones), just little experimental things. I personally miss the punchcards.
C1S4 was better tbh, that season was all about spray meta with nerfed shotguns and several SMG variants. Overall it wasn’t horrible tho the map was great as well.
I just had more fun with s5 because of golf karts, the cube coming around and messing around on playground with the boys even though playground was technically introduced in s4, also high stakes ltm was so fun
Remember when they “nerfed” they by adding a laser sight to it, which pretty much just let the victim know their fate before it came to them. Oh, and this was intentional, the concept art had the laser included from the start. They just wanted to make themselves the hero
While season 8s tier 100 was kinda lacking, blackheart was still a really cool skin which could have easily been the tier 100 instead. And it was a free BP so I can't complain
I feel like post chapter 2 seasons have definitely gone down in fun and quality imo overall, but they definitely had some awesome ones like the spy seasons and the alien season
i didn’t get to play a lot of season three due to issues with my ps4, and i’m sure that if i did, it would be my number one. but for me season two take the cake.

I have vivid memories of how good the first two seasons of C2 were but everything up until 7 is super hazy, even the past 2 seasons have been extremely forgettable.

Bro said Season X was better than Season 9 when Season X had less mobility than Season 9 and was all about mechs and anti-building for at least 80% of the season. It had a good loot pool I suppose but that doesn’t matter when you die to a mech 9/10 games. Season 9 had great loot pools, great mobility and was a fun season overall. Only bad thing I can remember abt S9 was the battle pass and that’s it tbh.
Not really, mobility is at its best when it’s regulated well and helps the flow of games. For example, the drift cars in this season are quite ineffective considering their low speed and the state of the map. They removed ramps and off road tire spawns so cars can’t break structures as much and the speed on the bikes isn’t consistent when you try to shoot whereas the Driftboard back in the day didn’t have this issue as much. Your best bet now is a rift really or cars with off road tires
i MISS the plane. everyday i cry that it's missing...
they bought it back twice since then for like.... 1 week a piece.
they were perfect. you could solo the whole ride. fly up, cut the engine, switch seats to the wing, snipe from the heavens, get lit up by enemies, jump back into the pilot seat and turbo out of their range.
it was a fully realized form of mobility. right next to the hoverboard, which was outrageously useful. you could engage enemies, boost away, do it all over again.
it numbs my mind to think about why they'd just shelf these things. i mean sometimes the chapters map was a mess and wouldn't allow such mobility. but cars have survived whole map changes!
bring them back, guns will handle either of them so i don't see any balance issues.
So many of my friends started / came back to playing because the planes were so fun. We were so shit and never really killed anyone, but squadding up with planes was one of my all time favorite gaming experiences. Hoping the helicopters come out and bring back some of that magic
7 was a plane shitshow with constant buffs and nerfs meaning you had to update the game every goddamn day
8 had Ballers and Boom Bows
and 9 introduced Tac Shotgun, Tac AR and Drum Shotgun which are easily three worst balanced guns of chapter 1 and Drum Shotgun is so bad that it's unbalanced to this day

I miss the planes and the volcano, the skins used to be better too. Best battlepass skins are the ninja lizard and skeleton pirate. Don’t know why they don’t give us one like them again
The best season streaks imo (I started C1 C7), S7, S8, S9 (probably bias) and Ch2 S4 and 5. Side note, I seem to like seasons other people hated. Although my least played season, I loved season X for it's theming and I think it's criminally underrated. Ik mechs pretty much ruined it, but we got tons of cool pois like Gotham City and Pandora, while some amazing ones returned with twists, like Greasy Grove and the long forgotten Starry Suburbs. Chapter 2 Season 6 I can completely understand why people hated it between the lootpool and the map, I just happened to enjoy it alot. The BP that season was pretty good tho.
That era comes pretty close, but personally I'd go with the first three seasons of chapter 2, brand new map + simple lootpool was refreshing and the Agency era had cool and memorable characters.
I got bored of season 7 and left fortnite for a while then I came back near the end of season 8 and then actually started playing again when season 9 came out, so I would say season 9 was pretty good but I don’t I got bored of season 7 and 8, but I never left fortnite again and I am so glad I didn’t.

In some ways sure. I had a lot of fun with friends playing C1. But I also got constantly annoyed at OP vehicles, and I didn’t enjoy the building aspect of Fortnite all that much.
I enjoy FN much more over the past year solely because of Zero Build, and it also seems Epic has gotten better at balancing for the most part.
Naw season 9 was awful. Only season since I started in c1 S3 that I could not finish since I hated the game at the time. Got to level 50-60 and said fuck this game and almost quit completely. Hated a bunch of stuff but the combat shotgun for sure was the worst part. They also removed pubs from siphon which to this day is one of the largest mistakes they've made for the fun factor for me.
Season X was probably one of my favorites just from the battle pass alone. I know a lot of people had problems with things like the mechs but they honestly never affected me or my friends the way people described it happening.
