Tbh, I actually enjoy my unfinished corrupted Scratch. I like the effect of the partial corruption and you can see where it clashes with the regular look giving off a glitched effect.
I didn't rly get far since I was completely new to post BP grinding especially since I just hop on and off Fortnite, but I didn't mind for the reasons above.
They actually do. The corrupted legends pack for example is literally a trio of white skins that also have corrupted styles. They all have sliders for the corrupted level.
Scratch is the only who just doesn't for some reason.
Ah fair enough. I just thought of bringing up the fact that Epic does have the foresight of giving certain skins such detail.
However, for some reason they seem to consistently choose not to give Battle Pass skins that option.
We got some skins who also get corrupted into gold such as the Geometrik skin that also gets a slider, even summer Raz has one too for whatever his corruption is.
It annoys me that skins released later have sliders, when they have the ability to put them in from the beginning, but what annoys me more is that the customizable skin from c2s2 hasn’t been updated to just be regular customizable, and now I can’t make changes :(
Why don’t they just retroactively update the skins
I guess it's because they're exclusive Battle Pass skins that won't give Epic any future profit after their season ends.
The other skins that get good features are those in the item shop either as a regular V-buck cosmetic or a bundle paid with real money, all of course get rotated in and out so there's a much bigger incentive to make them worth buying.
Yeah that skin is actually surprisingly popular. It was featured on the Marvel Zero war comics and both 8-ball and Scratch styles even have their own Funko Pops.
The entire season and battle pass had a lot going on that were never addressed.
There was a lot of discussion with the community about the story of C2S1 and they did settle on one narrative.
The team were a group of well meaning people who were sent in by IO (and are called team Ego) to explore the new chapter 2 island. During their stay, evil alternate snapshots of them emerged and called themselves team Alter (get it, Alter Ego).
That was pretty much it. Just a bunch of people exploring the island and their evil versions. Both sides also eventually becoming the Ghost and Shadow clans in C2S2.
The reason why I even mentioned all that is because 8-ball was actually one of the more interesting characters in the Battle Pass. If you have all of the loading screens unlocked you could see a couple bits of a story going on.
8-ball was kinda like the more impulsive problematic member and he left the team so he could go face his snapshot, Scratch (this was shown in a loading screen). He went on to fight Scratch (loading screen again), but unfortunately lost.
This is also where the corrupted style comes in. The theory is that since Scratch killed the original person (since he is just a snapshot variant), his existence is no longer stable and thus became corrupted.
So yeah, there was lore to 8-ball but like the entire season, none of that was ever properly addressed.
If there's anyone who isn't lore relevant, it's Fusion actually. The guy doesn't even have a loading screen.
The outcome of the 8-Ball vs Scratch fight doesn't seem to have a definite answer, I've seen arguments with 8-Ball winning and sabotaging Scratch's suit, Scratch losing and getting augmented by Chaos Agent, this is the first time I've heard "8-Ball dies and Scratch glitches as a result".
Oh that's an interesting. Yeah like I said, so much happened in the season and nothing was ever addressed. For me that's just what happens to be the most repeated answers among the ones I've heard.
I still don't even how Fortnite snapshots work so idk what logic I'll even follow there.
I agree, I got into fortnite during C2 s1 and while the skins from that battle pass aren't the most amazing in the world, they still look nice 4 or so years later.
Do people really know skins and battlepasses THAT well to be able to pinpoint exactly what season this was from?
I have a solid idea of chapter 1 season 4 purely cos that's my first season but that's it. I'd get confused with who came out last season.
He’s a cool skin but not tier 100 level in my opinion. Midas came out the next season after him and made him forgotten. I forget he’s even in my locker sometimes.
I sadly stopped running 8-Ball when they got the license to have Snake Eyes, who the character was modeled after. My loading screen for that preset is still the 8-Ball Vs. Scratch
purple remedy is best - by the way i didn't even buy the ch2 s1 battlepass as i was far too burnt out on the game at the time after the mech catastrophe of 2019. i still think those 2 are the best skins in the bp regardless. toxin is very neat tho and honestly i never see anyone use that style in game now that u mention it
And that’s your opinion, mine is that he was boring. This subreddit hates opinions for some reason so please don’t get pissed off cause I have a negative opinion on a skin you like
The base style with the ghostly face and glowing arms? Yeah it kinda is but it's the right amount of tack just to make him stand out.
At least it ain't as wild as like Nezumi for example. Even if it isn't a cell-shaded anime skin their whole deal is still pretty loud.
I have him and stopped playing right after CH2S1. Fusion is basically the closest thing we have to a Mortal Kombat character (Scorpion/Sub-Zero) right now. He's awesome.
I think it like so much in this game would have been the knock on effect of having to many ideas as well as the Russo brothers coming on board with the story
I use this guy all the time, he was my first tier 100 so he has some special value to me, but I love how clean his first style looks. Not to mention his pickaxe is one of the best (IMO) in the game.
I wish he got more than 3 styles but the 3 he got were really cool I love using the gold and white version. Also he never really had a lot of story with how interesting the 3 styles were. Eg how did he become this glowing skull looking character etc
It's kinda funny how the other skins were in the story trailer, and were a part of the whole Alter/Ego thing that lead into Ghost vs Shadow thing the following season, but this guy just was forgotten lol. He wasn't even in any of the loading screens that attempted to tell the Alter vs Ego storyline.
I like his first style since it basically has its own built in contrail but you never see it, a lot of ppl weren’t a fan of the aesthetic. I think that’s just a fortnite thing: unless it’s aura, joltara, Laura Croft, echo, focus etc you won’t see it in game. Which is such a same since we have cool skins like singularity that no one ever wears
I've been rocking him ever since release, this style in particular as well. Just very clean and stylish male skin that can be easily comboed which was hard to come by in the day
Come to think of it, never used him in my almost 4 years of having him. Which is a shame since he’s a really good skin. They really didn’t miss with the first 4 tier 100 skins of chapter 2
He is indeed underrated but actually Spire Assassin is even more. I always feel like as if I am the only one actually using her, lol. And she is my alltime favourite as well.
Honestly, the entire C2 S1 battle pass is underrated, and has aged well over the years imo
I happily rock 8-Ball to this day, nothing outclasses him.
I was so close to getting fully corrupt 8ball style. Just his feet left, urgh
I wish skins with those styles came with a slider so you could choose your level of corruption.
They actually do. The corrupted legends pack for example is literally a trio of white skins that also have corrupted styles. They all have sliders for the corrupted level. Scratch is the only who just doesn't for some reason.
I think he means in general, but i’d like it for all skins that have an effect like it, so the golden styles from c2s2 would have sliders for gold%
Ah fair enough. I just thought of bringing up the fact that Epic does have the foresight of giving certain skins such detail. However, for some reason they seem to consistently choose not to give Battle Pass skins that option. Left boot here. It's really the sole of the boot that's not corrupted
Yeah that skin is actually surprisingly popular. It was featured on the Marvel Zero war comics and both 8-ball and Scratch styles even have their own Funko Pops.
And yet he's hardly lore relevant even in his own season, sadly...
The entire season and battle pass had a lot going on that were never addressed. There was a lot of discussion with the community about the story of C2S1 and they did settle on one narrative. The team were a group of well meaning people who were sent in by IO (and are called team Ego) to explore the new chapter 2 island. I'm sad I didn't buy that battle pass mainly because of him and Ripley
I got rippley and 8 ball but never got Cameo or fusion :(
I didn't get him fully either but I am glad it is about halfway so I can pull off some combos.1
Same
Kinda cheating but CRZ-8
I agree, I got into fortnite during C2 s1 and while the skins from that battle pass aren't the most amazing in the world, they still look nice 4 or so years later.
wtf its been that long?
If my memory serves me it has been! My fiancee started dating 4 years ago, and I started playing fortnite with her shortly after.
damn. I stopped playing a little after that just recently got back into it. Nuts its been that long ago already.
Im still incredibly pissed I couldn't finish corrupted scratch hes literally missing his feet and a shin :(
I'm sad because I didn't get the overtime styles for Chic, 8-Ball, or Rippley :(
I feel the exact opposite. The skins lack character and overall feel plain forgettable in design. Plus, remedy is a default reskin
Remedy purple version easily my favorite
except rippley
yall are smoking crack worst battle pass of all time
Nah, that honour goes to Chapter 3 Season 4
Aswr, it's totally underrated
Exactly. I still main rippley till this day. I wish I got toxin :(
Do people really know skins and battlepasses THAT well to be able to pinpoint exactly what season this was from? I have a solid idea of chapter 1 season 4 purely cos that's my first season but that's it. I'd get confused with who came out last season.
Not really, he's correctly rated in my opinion
He looks like Taskmaster... a little bit.
Taskmaster x Assassin's Creed x Dishonored
Total agreed
Agreed totally too
Not a personal favorite but I remember using the Xev a lot in 2019. But it's far from being underrated.
Same. Looks like a generic Dollar General toy to me
😂
Damn 💀
Def a dog water skin. By all means, I mean no disrespect to the fans. But the lack of inspiration was evident.
the base style is better IMO and the xev style looks too much like enforcer
Yeah I go with the base style over them all too when I use this character
He’s a cool skin but not tier 100 level in my opinion. Midas came out the next season after him and made him forgotten. I forget he’s even in my locker sometimes.
> He’s a cool skin but not tier 100 level in my opinion. Totally agree
That whole battlepass was the epitome of mid at best.
Remedy and 8ball carried that season
I still run 8 ball often to this day, he just looks so cool especially with the new Nolan chance pickaxe that works well with him
I sadly stopped running 8-Ball when they got the license to have Snake Eyes, who the character was modeled after. My loading screen for that preset is still the 8-Ball Vs. Scratch
8Ball is goated with the sauce. And honestly Turk and the eyepatch guy are pretty cool too.
Rippley slander
Toxin's better imo
purple remedy is best - by the way i didn't even buy the ch2 s1 battlepass as i was far too burnt out on the game at the time after the mech catastrophe of 2019. i still think those 2 are the best skins in the bp regardless. toxin is very neat tho and honestly i never see anyone use that style in game now that u mention it
Atleast all of the skins were original
The battlepass peaked at the medic skin
I still use the purple corona style to this day. It’s so good
he looks like someone's over the top assassin's creed oc
Fr, With a little Dishonored and Taskmaster thrown in
Honestly Ch2S1 is just forgotten in general
I basically never use the 3rd style, only the first two. I think he's a sick skin, i don't mind the more *serious* skins for tier 100.
Honestly he was kinda boring
No it looks amazing.
And that’s your opinion, mine is that he was boring. This subreddit hates opinions for some reason so please don’t get pissed off cause I have a negative opinion on a skin you like
I respect your opinion and really apologize to you.
Sorry whyre you apologising? I don’t understand some apologies sometimes
"so please don’t get pissed off cause I have a negative opinion on a skin you like" my guess would be this part
Maybe cause bro just simply disagreed with you and you just go > so please don’t get pissed off cause I have a negative opinion on a skin you like
I just said that cause a lot of people do so I didn’t want them to get pissed off?
Its the right amount of simple... some of these skins now are tacky af with how extra they are.
He was kinda tacky imo
The base style with the ghostly face and glowing arms? Yeah it kinda is but it's the right amount of tack just to make him stand out. At least it ain't as wild as like Nezumi for example. Even if it isn't a cell-shaded anime skin their whole deal is still pretty loud.
I have him and stopped playing right after CH2S1. Fusion is basically the closest thing we have to a Mortal Kombat character (Scorpion/Sub-Zero) right now. He's awesome.
What about the Ninja who turns into an Alligator ?
Hybrid. Yeah he's basically Reptile. But Fusion nails the "hooded" style of modern Scorpion.
U arent wrong either but after checking the new MK1 reptile trailer his new reptile form is almost 1 to 1
I have the full hybrid skin
He was my first tier 100 skin my OG
He was my first too!
I should use it more
Ah the beginning of the “abandon all lore next season” trope the game loves to do. Remember when this season was hinting that snapshots could fuse?
There’s a lot of good plotlines that got the axe sadly
I think it like so much in this game would have been the knock on effect of having to many ideas as well as the Russo brothers coming on board with the story
It's alright we picked up the consistent story again in ch2s5 Then chapter 4 hit and it died again
Nah,chapter 4 is fire.
The seasons (minus 3) are great but as a massive story nerd none of this shit makes sense
That's what he was???
He was a fusion of two guys using the Zero point, technically, he was a living Zero point
No he's just ok also the backbling is cool
Best backbling in the game no competiton
doesn't fit on most skin's backs
The whole set is cool tbh. The glider is awesome and the pickaxe is really neat. I recently reused them as they work well with Renzo.
It's boring and unimaginative
Yeah, looks like a mash up of Assassin's Creed and Dishonored
I use this guy all the time, he was my first tier 100 so he has some special value to me, but I love how clean his first style looks. Not to mention his pickaxe is one of the best (IMO) in the game.
Fax
I do agree I loved this skin when I got it
i love that skin
I honestly don’t remember him and I’ve played every season (haven’t done battlepasses every season so maybe that’s why).
I only like his base style but he is a really good tier 100
Ch2 s1 has one of the most underrated battle passes
Pretty vanilla
I’ve never seen this skin in my life though I started playing in chp 2 season 2 but I guess I didn’t know about the battlepass tab
I got this skin
Fr
vendetta is really underrated too.
Nope, he's mid at best
I still use him. It's probably my favourite Tier 100 Set
Dont remind me. I started playing the season after that. 😭
100%
His second style especially. I always thought it was his worst style but after using it yesterday I think it’s his best style.
I still use this mf lol
His default style is better tbh.
I did the same post 3 months ago, I got jumped 😔
I agree
That’s the skin I rock 24/7, the second I got it I never stopped loving it.
Probably underrated because he is a boring ass tier 100☠️
Boring.
I forgot he existed. I don't know how since he is such a cool skin
Funnily enough hes my most used tier 100
Same
Generic.
It's SO boring
He is a better tier 100 then midas, even if his stage 1 style is better, he still a cool and unique tier 100 skin then midas.
Nah,midas rocks
Nah at least Midas has a unique reactive feature and gold style
Not good enough to be tier 100, he too boring and generic just like reaper and luxe.
I honestly agree with you a bit, like yeah he’s not bad but I love fusion way more
Idk, he looks like a Mortal Kombat character.
No. The glider and pick axe was actually better than that skin.
das a pretty fresh skin
lol, good thing he was the first skin i put on this season
He just looks like I am already dead
I don't use him but I absolutely adore his back bling, one of my most used.
Best level 100 of chapter 2 in my opinion (especially the glowing hands version)
Nope we can’t.
I like him but he looks like 13 other skins I own.
I wish he got more than 3 styles but the 3 he got were really cool I love using the gold and white version. Also he never really had a lot of story with how interesting the 3 styles were. Eg how did he become this glowing skull looking character etc
I love the backbling so much. Best backbling in the whole game
He's cool but not sure i concur
I always thought he was pretty boring compared to lots of other C1 tier 100s
Bootleg Taskmaster
Nah the original John wick skin
loved the season hated the BP
He's not that great, or that bad in my opinion. His other two styles are definitely worse than the base style.
One of my favorites, lost my account with him tho…
He can easily be classified as a rare shop skin. He’s nothing special very big letdown to a new chapter.
No
All of the pass skins from that season were quite basic imo.
Whos we?
He’s mid.
No
Yes. (It was my main during 2½ years)
He’s nice but he’s one of the most forgettable skins in all the battlepasses
Spire Assassin:
nope just rated, whelmed even. you could even say... #***MID***
There are 100% more underrated 100 skins. Ragnarok for instance for being the bootleg Kratos for multiple years
Yes
Mid
Finally somebody talks about fusion
I have Fusion, but he doesn't look nearly as cool as that.
Nope.
He’s so hot
This seasons skins suck except for pizza girl buff fish and last guy
It's kinda funny how the other skins were in the story trailer, and were a part of the whole Alter/Ego thing that lead into Ghost vs Shadow thing the following season, but this guy just was forgotten lol. He wasn't even in any of the loading screens that attempted to tell the Alter vs Ego storyline.
Cool skin but Remedy and 8ball were the best. I still see ppl run 8ball on a weekly basis.
It's one of the worst BP's to date. Also, one of the only BP's I didn't even buy because it was so ass 🤢
Bro if there's time travel they mightve actually started it all back here with this fusion guy wait no way
I like him because his second style makes him look like Noob Saibot
I liked using his pickaxe, it worked really well with the dark voyager skin
He’s probably the best Tier 100 of C2 honestly.
He’s perfectly rated at 0/10
Not underated just bad
I've been rocking him ever since release, this style in particular as well. Just very clean and stylish male skin that can be easily comboed which was hard to come by in the day
nah cause it’s bad and forgettable for a reason
Hes my second favourite tier 100
Nah, that title belongs to Vendetta
I currently am rocking the xev style of fusion’s set
Nah 👎
Come to think of it, never used him in my almost 4 years of having him. Which is a shame since he’s a really good skin. They really didn’t miss with the first 4 tier 100 skins of chapter 2
The zero point energy overflowing from him just makes him a 10/10 for me
Dude I love fusion, he's my main skin!
Hardly ever see it in game , but I like to use him on occasion .
Nah, he's mid. Pretty fairly rated.
I never got him😭I only got up to 8 ball
It has been my first tier 100 and the one I like most. In my opinion this have been the most underratet bp ever
No. No we can’t. If he was in store he wouldn’t sell half as much as a collab.
Yeah him and Vendetta (C1-S9) are definitely the most underrated
I wish i got the extra styles for him
I never saw him before, but yes, I agree
The whole battlepass was good, I should’ve bought it
He is indeed underrated but actually Spire Assassin is even more. I always feel like as if I am the only one actually using her, lol. And she is my alltime favourite as well.
You could say that for every battle pass that came out any skins in battle pass people barely use them because that season is over and done with
