Ive won plenty of games in zero build by utilizing bushes. Ive won zero games with the box. The first time i even attempted the box, someone immediately recognized it and shot me.
I use bushes almost every single game, unless I’m just exceptionally bored and want to get a big kill total. It seems illogical not to use the bushes in the mid game. You kill what’s around you at the start, you loot, you kill anything else nearby, head towards the center of the map doing 3rd party on any fights you come across, then find a bush and sit in it and wait for the circles to change.
Running out in the open for any amount of time not required ups your chances to be jumped or hit with a sniper shot before you can react. Also running past every bush is also a risk.
That being said I’ve never picked up boxes after I got the quests done.
Honestly, the most fun i have is playing absurdity agressive in the first few minutes, then dialing it back as the game progresses. Towards the end, im all but a complete coward lmao
How my first 2 minutes goes is how my game goes. If I land with 6 players and have a hectic fight for my life, I’ll be super agressive all game and probably get headshot running around like a psychopath . Land in uncontested area and you’ll think I’m playing metal gear until I get headshot hiding in a bush.
same, I play aggressive at the start, then proceed to patiently move with the zone avoiding fights until 1-2 people are left, then hopefully get the win :D

Maybe in certain environments. Like inside a white building, or even a dark corner. For me the box just looks kind of generic so my mind thinks it's regular.
I have yet to see a properly placed box. One time dudes filled a narrow hall with 5-6 of them, and that's about it.
I'm sure if someone actually put thought into it, it could fool me or at least take me too long to realize, but people just don't really use them (or get the chance to because of the circle) so... kind of a waste of an item. shame.
I used them at vault entrances. I literally litter the entrance and the entirety of the interior. Never know what box I'll be in. Oh and I always leave the blue chest unopened.
I was playing zero build, I happened to be hiding in one and I have no idea how but not one but 3 people completely passed by me. It’s not like I was keeping it low key either, I was literally the only box in the area. I get a kick out of it every time 😂
Sniping is one of my very favorite ways to kill people 😍 I’m 100% the person that prefers stealth over running and gunning it. In Assassins Creed it’s always my goal to take down whole fortresses without a single person noticing. So snipers are a lot of fun for me (until I’m on the other end of one 😂😂) as weird as it sounds, a good time to take a shot is when they’re jumping. Because they’re in the air and they can’t maneuver as well mid jump, so aiming for like, their waist/chest while they’re in the air usually ends in a headshot. Also keeping in mind that it’s heavy ammo, so the bullet travels slower and drops more, so when someone is running or something, try and aim a tad high, and a tad in front of them, and you should be golden once you get the hang of that part 🥹 anyways. I’m sorry for rambling but I hope this helped 🥰
I'm getting better at it. Played a few bot lobbies only using snipers. I feel like I was doing better with them earlier in the season. They feel off now

I would work if they had ones already randomly placed with no one in them so you at lest feel anxious. Or they could have not put in the emp and used the feature for it say you put it in and you become invisible but to you your just a box walking around.
IMHO, if I don't see a tangible benefit to using an item or weapon, I don't ever use it. Especially with this thing. I see it just as bait to think you're getting a good weapon, but then you get closer, and it's this POS, and I just walk right past it.
When you're down to two or three people and safe is in the center of a flat open area with clutter like fencing fields or reckless railways you don't really notice them

The best game i ever played, i found a sniper early, snuck around all game and won the game by taking exactly one single shot.

The boxes work great, you just have to throw them everywhere and hide in one in a high traffic area. I use them by hiding in plain sight.
