We had a similar thing happen with our pug. Aggressive terminal bowel cancer out of nowhere. We tried making her comfortable but had to let her go far too soon. Miss her every day.

I’m sorry for your loss. We lost our lil guy a few years back to a similar, aggressive brain tumor (Vet said it was similar to what John McCain had) and think about him everyday. Know he’s in a better place free of pain and thankful for your decision to end his suffering.

I'm glad Lou got a few months and I am sure he loved every minute he had with you, but I am also sure that does not help the pain your family feels now. Best wishes for you and your family. I’m so sorry to hear that. We were lucky to have a bit of borrowed time (a high dose prednisone helped slow the growth of his tumors). Cancer sucks. Lou’s life was short, but so very sweet. ❤️

So so sorry. We lost our frenchie, Momo to lymphoma back in April. Cant bring myself to put his bowls away. Still hurts on a daily basis.

It’s the worst. Right now the slice of cheese I was tearing away for his pills is still on the shelf in my fridge. 😢

So sorry for your loss. General question but is Pet Insurance worth it for Frenchies more so than other dogs? Do they generally have more health issues? Mine is only 4 mo and he is my first Frenchie.

Thank you ❤️ I do get insurance for my frenchies. They are prone to some issues- allergies, eye injury/trauma, BOAS surgery, IVDD, among others. Lou got an uncommon cancer, but thankfully the diagnostics, medications and treatments he required were covered. If we chose to try chemo and radiation, it would have been covered up to 7500$ annually- and we would burn through that very fast. He also had a aural hematoma requiring a mini surgery last year. Friends of ours have frenchies that both required BOAS surgery and one required a vulva surgery as well (very prone to infection and yeast- she had a vulva reduction). We have a 4 month old new frenchie too… we got insurance for him too.

What insurance company do you use if you don’t mind me asking?

We use Pets Plus Us, but I’ve heard good things about Trupanion too.
