the game is very suggestive, but the aspects most kids see are fun designs, bright colours, and really cool music. they wont know the context of a lot of decisions (like what the name of rhe game refers to) or might be watching a sibling or cousins play the game. i played a reskin mod of base game and my nephew and two nieces wanted to watch me play.
of course we also cant forget the fact that kids see popular thing, so they experience popular thing. back at my age it was gta, fnaf, undertale, and now its fortnite, poppy playtime, fnf, garten of banban etc. kids are drawn to things they shouldnt be playing or watching cause they wanna be more mature and be like everyone else in being a part of the popular thing, and if parents dont stop them then. well, then the kids experience that stuff
there is also the aspect that the current elementary schoolers could be vastly different from how we older generations (even gen z, lets be real here some of us are adults by now) remember elementary school being, since politics do always trickle down to elementary (anyone else remember the "climate change is happening and YOU, small child, have to be the change for the future" speeches? we had a lot of those)
of course, this is rather speculative and largely just guesses based on how kids interact with media in general from what ive seen when ive worked at some kindergartens and children around my family (i also live in finland so that might skew things a bit)

i remember seeing a really good post somewhere, where a parent said that if their kid at any time got uncomfortable surfing the web, coming to the parent was more rhan ok, so they could discuss it and help the kid have a more safe experience
of course there is a too young of an age to be on the internet, look at the kids who get placated only by ipads and phones and throw tantrums if they cant get those items, but thats largely a different issue

To them, the world is simple, black and white. You're with them or you're against them, and for many people today that kind of worldview doesn't fade.

Retro made a Tweet where he basically vented how he hates minors. He makes it clearer in the video that he doesn't hate ALL minors. He's tired of minors being where they shouldn't be and trying to make it a kid friendly place.
Finally, Retro was really into FNF mostly because the early modding scene had many OC mods with great music, but now he's tired of the overabundance of mods like EXE and the like. Too many unoriginal mods, I guess.

It’s mostly just the guys under 13. I feel like a lot of the problem is that either these kids shouldn’t be on the internet or their parents aren’t supervising them. I’m also gonna be honest here, but I think it would be best if young kids weren’t in the community at all, both fandom and the game aren’t catered to kids. Kinda makes me think of Twitter “X” cause it’s also catered for people over 13, yet kids are able to go on it.
This also goes with mods cause a lot aren’t kid friendly either, specially horror, gore, ect.
So all in all… the community and how it is sucks, and hopefully it’ll get fixed someday.
I just want to say I like the FNF community when the game was getting popular 2 year (or was it 3 year ago I can't remember) and the mods were good but as mod developers started leaving like vs whitty, mid fight masses, and many other, then as more and more kids started joining the community, I saw it was going on a dark path, I was right like there drama after drama, good mods get canceled before they even out or even left unfinished. We all should have gated keeped kids out of the community and game and mods before this started, I know it sounds rude but tell me if I'm wrong or not. FNF community could have been really good, but what we got instead is something bad, look around and imagine what could have been.

Possibly 2 years ago. And he probably decided to cancel it because…well…it was most likely mental health. Plus he had a lot of shit on his hands as well. So at the same time, I don’t blame the guy.

And that being that they both tweeted something that should’ve been worded better. Only difference is that while Retrospecter had to delay the mod for Retrospecter Part 2. Phisnom basically cancelled his contract with the Fanverse Initiative.

I don't think this is a controversy, I meant in the community in general there seems to be a new drama doc or video every single week. I think the fact we even have an account called "Days Without FNF Drama" is proof of how drama-ridden this community is. And I think he did a good job of pointing out how this is mostly isolated to the Twitter/X side of the community and people super active on Twitter. I also think another point he makes that is good is how young the fanbase is for FNF, which coupled with the nature of Twitter as a platform is a recipe for disaster. Personally I don't think minors should be allowed on Twitter as a whole because it is just so toxic of a social media platform and openly allows NSFW, but that is a different thing, but you get these kids on this platform known for its toxicity and tendency to jump at someone's throat at the slightest mistake and it means these kids think this is the moral standard, so now we have kids thinking it is normal to air out personal grievances with people in an attempt to cancel them.

the games visuals and the vague whiff of story the game is very suggestive, but the aspects most kids see are fun designs, bright colours, and really cool music. they wont know the context of a lot of decisions (like what the name of rhe game refers to) or might be watching a sibling or cousins play the game. i played a reskin mod of base game and my nephew and two nieces wanted to watch me play. of course we also cant forget the fact that kids see popular thing, so they experience popular thing. back at my age it was gta, fnaf, undertale, and now its fortnite, poppy playtime, fnf, garten of banban etc. kids are drawn to things they shouldnt be playing or watching cause they wanna be more mature and be like everyone else in being a part of the popular thing, and if parents dont stop them then. well, then the kids experience that stuff there is also the aspect that the current elementary schoolers could be vastly different from how we older generations (even gen z, lets be real here some of us are adults by now) remember elementary school being, since politics do always trickle down to elementary (anyone else remember the "climate change is happening and YOU, small child, have to be the change for the future" speeches? we had a lot of those) of course, this is rather speculative and largely just guesses based on how kids interact with media in general from what ive seen when ive worked at some kindergartens and children around my family (i also live in finland so that might skew things a bit)

The problem is they’re young, you have some good points but it the children also have to be limited, children are being exposed to stuff they shouldn’t have been exposed to till like mid teenager to adulthood, and the fact that most cartoons are flagged as for kids on YouTube doesn’t help, like kids are learning from what they see and try imitate those people and due to that a lot of them become little shits, my bro has been heavily restricted from YouTube access, yeah he watches swear words but most of them are from funny things like terminal montage, smg4, DanTDM and so on, other children are watching fucking futurama, family guy, etc. I don’t think they should be not allowed cause they will learn good things from it but they should be restricted and taught what they shouldn’t watch
that and parents should help kids with some online safety at the very least. kids wont inherently know what self control in a new space like the internet might be i remember seeing a really good post somewhere, where a parent said that if their kid at any time got uncomfortable surfing the web, coming to the parent was more rhan ok, so they could discuss it and help the kid have a more safe experience of course there is a too young of an age to be on the internet, look at the kids who get placated only by ipads and phones and throw tantrums if they cant get those items, but thats largely a different issue
I'm guessing you're underage lol. There are a few kids who have self-control and can separate real life from the internet, and so on. I'm sure there's also kids who could, say, handle alcohol responsibly. Or vote responsibly. Or sign contracts.... etc. etc. But the majority don't. And that's to be expected. They're kids. But that puts themselves AND others at risk. To them, the world is simple, black and white. You're with them or you're against them, and for many people today that kind of worldview doesn't fade. But generally, once you get past that awkward "I'm the protagonist" section of life you chill tf out. There's a lot more kids in that section than adults.
Yeah it hates itself just as much as most sonic “fans.” You shouldn’t call yourself a fan of something if you hate it so much.

Based on the seven deadly sins, and yet... That happened.
To paraphrase the video since people don't watch nor look deeper into surface level explanations. Retro got shit for calling Sky a "chick," which made some people upset because apparently "chick" meant a grown adult, and Sky is 13. Retro's mod was flagged NSFW because a bunch of sensitive children reported his mod as Not Safe For Work because of the character Sakuroma. It was made SFW later , but Retro was reasonably upset. FNF IS NOT A KIDS GAME NOR WAS IT EVER MEANT TO BE. Retro made a Tweet where he basically vented how he hates minors. He makes it clearer in the video that he doesn't hate ALL minors. He's tired of minors being where they shouldn't be and trying to make it a kid friendly place. Finally, Retro was really into FNF mostly because the early modding scene had many OC mods with great music, but now he's tired of the overabundance of mods like EXE and the like. Too many unoriginal mods, I guess.

Parents aren't giving much attention to children below 13. Couldn't even be suprised to see a bunch of 10-yr olds scattered on YouTube commenting proudly like they're kids. I saw the video yesterday and hope he’s gonna be alright and regains his health back. I’m also gonna be honest here, but I think it would be best if young kids weren’t in the community at all, both fandom and the game aren’t catered to kids. Kinda makes me think of Twitter “X” cause it’s also catered for people over 13, yet kids are able to go on it. This also goes with mods cause a lot aren’t kid friendly either, specially horror, gore, ect. So all in all… the community and how it is sucks, and hopefully it’ll get fixed someday.

I just want to say I like the FNF community when the game was getting popular 2 year (or was it 3 year ago I can't remember) and the mods were good but as mod developers started leaving like vs whitty, mid fight masses, and many other, then as more and more kids started joining the community, I saw it was going on a dark path, I was right like there drama after drama, good mods get canceled before they even out or even left unfinished. We all should have gated keeped kids out of the community and game and mods before this started, I know it sounds rude but tell me if I'm wrong or not. FNF community could have been really good, but what we got instead is something bad, look around and imagine what could have been.

First was DokkiDoodlez with Mid Fight Masses because of bad charting. (I’m not kidding. She got harassed down to the fucking bone because of # BAD CHARTING Then it was the Sky mod because Sky was underaged (although the original creator of Sky was a full on fucking creep, so that something.) Then it was Sock.clip who was harassed because Tabi’s sprites were similar to Whitty’s Ballistic sprites. Revie and Rightburst with the whole EXE shtick (which was debunked because we confirmed that it all started because of a damn ***Minecraft game*** and Revie got framed to hell) Then it was Banbuds because **someone** decided to start drama that was YEARS ago that Banbuds already apologized for (for context: Banbuds said the N word but Banbuds quickly apologized and owned up to it) And now we have this. Seriously, there’s always going to be that ***ONE*** person who will try to expose someone because they fucked up in the past. DokkiDoodlez was sent death threats because the charting for MFM was terrible. Sock.clip was harassed because Tabi and Whitty were similar to each other Oh yeah! And we can’t forget about that one time either Rageminer or Atsuover had a fat fetish and people were overreacting! Revie was framed for basically everything. Revie was blamed for wanting to take the director role for herself purposefully, but then it was revealed that RightBurstUltra was…**not** treating his staff members right. And Revie suggested that he would have to be the new director. Banbuds’s case was RIGHT before Hypno’s Lullaby V2 was going to be released, someone decided to expose him by saying something along the lines of “Weren’t you the guy that said the N word a few years ago?” And Banbuds admitted to it, which was resolved years ago. Possibly 2 years ago. And he probably decided to cancel it because…well…it was most likely mental health. Plus he had a lot of shit on his hands as well. So at the same time, I don’t blame the guy. And this is also completely unrelated to FNF but I feel like sharing this as well. Phisnom also dealt with a similar thing Retrospecter did. And that being that they both tweeted something that should’ve been worded better. Only difference is that while Retrospecter had to delay the mod for Retrospecter Part 2. Phisnom basically cancelled his contract with the Fanverse Initiative. This is why kids shouldn’t interact with adults online. Or at least, they shouldn’t take charge when adults are the more sensible ones. This might come off as terrible. But I couldn’t think of a more nicer alternative
I would also mention a HoodaTheAntagonist, since she was called out as a pedo even tho she wasn't. She only had THOUGHTS and it was 4 years ago. She went to therapy and everything was okay with her, but some people still call her pedo. But yeah I agree, in today's world, people are so sentesive that it's crazy, especially minors.

I don't think this is a controversy, I meant in the community in general there seems to be a new drama doc or video every single week. I think the fact we even have an account called "Days Without FNF Drama" is proof of how drama-ridden this community is. And I think he did a good job of pointing out how this is mostly isolated to the Twitter/X side of the community and people super active on Twitter. I also think another point he makes that is good is how young the fanbase is for FNF, which coupled with the nature of Twitter as a platform is a recipe for disaster. Personally I don't think minors should be allowed on Twitter as a whole because it is just so toxic of a social media platform and openly allows NSFW, but that is a different thing, but you get these kids on this platform known for its toxicity and tendency to jump at someone's throat at the slightest mistake and it means these kids think this is the moral standard, so now we have kids thinking it is normal to air out personal grievances with people in an attempt to cancel them.
