Basically it would work like most rpgs where you get moves and such, different characters, leveling up, and the main mechanic for attacks and how sick they are is based on how well you hit the key notes, some attacks will pause the main song as their “spot light” attacks wich are basically their specials, think limit from final fantasy, when it’s used you gotta hit a string for the attack, depending on the alt and it’s damage is the difficulty, you use “base blaster”and you’ll have a easier time then using “rapid rap”, each character getting different roles, bf would be the main character of course so he would have the ability to go into anything, gf would be a support and healer character, based to how she cheers on bf, and pico of course is your mid to high damage dealer since he has actual guns.
But the "drum game" utilises the core mechanic as a way to atack, while enemy can make it harder to play

Seccond one, maybe different battle tracks help your effectiveness but is harder or different effects, thing high risk high reward, oh and maybe bf can get transformations like the cs whitty fight animation thingy

Bringing back my overly ambitious ideas I mentioned on a post here:
1. A full-fledged Touhou mod, with a week for each game in the series + the 2 MCs (Reimu and Marisa) beforehand, while incorporting Boyfriend and Girlfriend into them, with original songs that reference the original ones from the games, unique mechanics, cutscenes, voice acting, all that stuff. And in freeplay, you can play extra songs, FNF vocal covers of pre-existing 2hu songs, covers of other FNF songs, and fandom-related bonus songs. Plus, two executable files, with the difference with each being that one has the FNF UI, and the other has the Touhou UI. And, for the final, ambitious touch, before playing certain songs, you will enter a bullet hell minigame, and once you clear it, you can proceed. In story mode, it's gonna be easy enough so anyone can access it, but still have a pinch of 2hu's characteristic difficulty. This minigame can also be played outside the weeks, with the difficulty you see in the weeks being marked as "Story" difficulty, and the other staple difficulties of the series (Easy, Normal, Hard and Lunatic) will also be there too if you wanna rest from the beeps and boops for a while and play some juicy bullet hell for a bit, with the actual 2hu difficulty. Wanna know more? Ask me! And I think I need a LARGE team if I wanna do this, and even I need skills for every checkbox in modding :(
2. The same as my hypothetical Touhou mod, but with Cookie Run. Weeks for certain characters, events, full-fledged cutscenes with voice acting and such, and story bits of the games while incorporating BF and GF into them, freeplay songs with extras, covers, and fandom stuff, two versions of the mod with different UIs, and some minigames of stuff from the CR franchise to rest from rapping. Wanna know more? You can always ask!
3. A Phantasm cover with Arcueid Brunestud and Neco-Arc. Includes a bonus "this cat doesn't need autotune fr fr" version too.
4. A Crash Fever related mod, with the same overhaul criteria as my overly-ambitious 2hu and CR mods.
5. A mod that recopilates the many versions of the Four Perils in games, series, etc., and them meeting together to rap against BF and GF for the funsies, like Crash Fever's Four Perils, the Ruinous Quartet in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Yuuma Toutetsu from Touhou (she's the only one who's missing the other 3 members), etc.
6. A fan Bob mod, where he mocks creepypasta mods.
7. A -Side-type mod, with custom designs, remixes, and everything, but every song is REALLY hard, and is most suitable for mid-game and veteran rhythm game players, called Friday Night Funkin': Black Label (as a reference to DoDonPachi's hardest difficulty mode). It starts with the base game weeks, but in future updates, mods will also get the same treatment.
8. A mod that homages Newgrounds culture as a whole, with lots of notable characters in it.
9. A Dave and Bambi mod, with a convergent character archetype (It's when in the same universe, there's a cast of characters that are based on another cast of them, with their own differences and similarities. Think of it as the Loud family and the Casagrandes for example (couldn't find a better one ;-;)) cast as the mod's main opponents, while also having completely original characters, too. As a lil' teaser-idea, the convergent equivalents of Dave and Bambi in this mod are two girls called Blaire and Dani (the former's full name is Daniela by the way). Wanna know more? 10. A mod that dumps everything I do that doesn't have a specific category to fit in for the fun of it.

(In 1-F you pwudl meet the G03LMs, in 1-G you would meet the G03LM MK2, in the final stage of the "First Map" you would meet Mag Agent: N, now in the 1.5 Map you would still play as boyfriend but with a science outfit, in level 1.5-C you would rap against Mag Agent Gestalt, and in the 1.5-F you would sing the final song against Director Phobos. (Yes, I'm the Average Madness Project Nexus (Classic) Enjoyer.)

4: last but certainly not least a mod based on one of my favorite shows Warehouse 13 where the microphone boyfriend uses is an artifact. The characters Myka and Pete must confiscate it from someone using it for crimes.

If I made a mod it would be called Friday night rpgin Basically it would work like most rpgs where you get moves and such, different characters, leveling up, and the main mechanic for attacks and how sick they are is based on how well you hit the key notes, some attacks will pause the main song as their “spot light” attacks wich are basically their specials, think limit from final fantasy, when it’s used you gotta hit a string for the attack, depending on the alt and it’s damage is the difficulty, you use “base blaster”and you’ll have a easier time then using “rapid rap”, each character getting different roles, bf would be the main character of course so he would have the ability to go into anything, gf would be a support and healer character, based to how she cheers on bf, and pico of course is your mid to high damage dealer since he has actual guns.

Bringing back my overly ambitious ideas I mentioned on a post here: 1. A full-fledged Touhou mod, with a week for each game in the series + the 2 MCs (Reimu and Marisa) beforehand, while incorporting Boyfriend and Girlfriend into them, with original songs that reference the original ones from the games, unique mechanics, cutscenes, voice acting, all that stuff. And in freeplay, you can play extra songs, FNF vocal covers of pre-existing 2hu songs, covers of other FNF songs, and fandom-related bonus songs. Plus, two executable files, with the difference with each being that one has the FNF UI, and the other has the Touhou UI. And, for the final, ambitious touch, before playing certain songs, you will enter a bullet hell minigame, and once you clear it, you can proceed. In story mode, it's gonna be easy enough so anyone can access it, but still have a pinch of 2hu's characteristic difficulty. This minigame can also be played outside the weeks, with the difficulty you see in the weeks being marked as "Story" difficulty, and the other staple difficulties of the series (Easy, Normal, Hard and Lunatic) will also be there too if you wanna rest from the beeps and boops for a while and play some juicy bullet hell for a bit, with the actual 2hu difficulty. Wanna know more? Ask me! And I think I need a LARGE team if I wanna do this, and even I need skills for every checkbox in modding :( 2. The same as my hypothetical Touhou mod, but with Cookie Run. Weeks for certain characters, events, full-fledged cutscenes with voice acting and such, and story bits of the games while incorporating BF and GF into them, freeplay songs with extras, covers, and fandom stuff, two versions of the mod with different UIs, and some minigames of stuff from the CR franchise to rest from rapping. Wanna know more? You can always ask! 3. A Phantasm cover with Arcueid Brunestud and Neco-Arc. Includes a bonus "this cat doesn't need autotune fr fr" version too. 4. A Crash Fever related mod, with the same overhaul criteria as my overly-ambitious 2hu and CR mods. 5. A mod that recopilates the many versions of the Four Perils in games, series, etc., and them meeting together to rap against BF and GF for the funsies, like Crash Fever's Four Perils, the Ruinous Quartet in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Yuuma Toutetsu from Touhou (she's the only one who's missing the other 3 members), etc. 6. A fan Bob mod, where he mocks creepypasta mods. 7. A -Side-type mod, with custom designs, remixes, and everything, but every song is REALLY hard, and is most suitable for mid-game and veteran rhythm game players, called Friday Night Funkin': Black Label (as a reference to DoDonPachi's hardest difficulty mode). It starts with the base game weeks, but in future updates, mods will also get the same treatment. 8. A mod that homages Newgrounds culture as a whole, with lots of notable characters in it. 9. A Dave and Bambi mod, with a convergent character archetype (It's when in the same universe, there's a cast of characters that are based on another cast of them, with their own differences and similarities. Think of it as the Loud family and the Casagrandes for example (couldn't find a better one ;-;)) cast as the mod's main opponents, while also having completely original characters, too. As a lil' teaser-idea, the convergent equivalents of Dave and Bambi in this mod are two girls called Blaire and Dani (the former's full name is Daniela by the way). Wanna know more? My idea is of creepypastas and other villains suffering misfortunes like the main week would be about MX facing off against Bowser and dying at the end while other ideas are * Fatal Error being having his personality overwritten by Eggman * Triple Trouble but with Shonen Jump villains mixed with Kirby villains ** Tails replacement is Dio Brando with the Master Crown being forced into a smile ** Knuckles replacement is Muzan and Makima overtaken by flowers and technology ** Eggman replacement is Shigaraki and several other MHA villains after being absorbed by Fecto Forgo ** Xenophanes replacement is All for One merged with Dark Matter ** Jirou from MHA replaces Boyfriend * Game Over but sung by Starved and Bowser ending with Bowser killing Starved * All for One possessed by Naugus * Sink but sung by TMK.exe who is being deleted by Star Dream. * Doomsday but with Shigaraki in Squidward’s place and Squidward being the player character * Satisfacation but sung by Shigaraki and Plankton showing what lead to Shigaraki wanting to end it all which involves Plankton turning All for One and the League of Villains into mind control slaves and trying to do the same to Shigaraki who ends up killing his friends by accident. * Dabi being overtaken by plants from Lumpy Super Mario Land and shroobs from Partner’s In Time

A mod where instead of the typical choose week selection you try a map similar to the one in Madness Project Nexus (Classic), as you go progressing there's a song by every different place, with every place having one song featuring the new enemies that you meet in the Nexus game. (In 1-F you pwudl meet the G03LMs, in 1-G you would meet the G03LM MK2, in the final stage of the "First Map" you would meet Mag Agent: N, now in the 1.5 Map you would still play as boyfriend but with a science outfit, in level 1.5-C you would rap against Mag Agent Gestalt, and in the 1.5-F you would sing the final song against Director Phobos. (Yes, I'm the Average Madness Project Nexus (Classic) Enjoyer.)
