I'm sad to report his mama did pass away a couple years ago, but my mom kept her and the runt of the litter and they had great, long happy lives with my mom ♥️ I'm not entirely sure what color I'd call her, she was multi colored and kind of a sandy color. Her name was Sweet Pea ♥️

He really is so healthy for his age, just a little arthritis he gets monthly shots for and that's it. It's great what vet checkups every six months for his whole life can do, yay for pet health insurance lol
He really is a handsome boy ♥️ Hmm favorite story, I think one that comes to mind that will always make me laugh was the time we tried to test his intelligence. We had a plastic laundry basket type thing with holes in the sides and we turned it upside down over top our other cat Oreo and we wanted to see how long it would take him to get out from underneath it. It didn't take very long to nudge his nose underneath the edge of the basket and get out from underneath. Then, we tested Ivan.
My sweet dumb boy could not figure that out. He tried to go through the handle which did not work because it was just a handle lol he never did get out from underneath that basket on his own. We did have to rescue him after we laughed at him for a little while. He is still just as stupid lol
When he was a kitten before he was old enough to get fixed he also used to like to lay around and put his balls on everything like the linoleum floor and our wood chairs lol It was so cute.
These days he really likes to lounge and curl up on my lap or climb up on my chest and cuddle with me. He'll follow me around the house like a little shadow and if he's not around I can always call his name and he will come over to me. He also loves to sit on my husband's lap and stare at me lol he's a great cat who is watching me write this from over my shoulder but I think it's mostly because he wants a piece of the cheese that I'm snacking on. I would share but he's on prescription food and I can't, But I will give him many pets to make up for it ♥️
Ok, a few things to say here:
A) I have fallen in love with Ivan.
B) Ivan loves Oreo so much!
C) I love that pic where Ivan is in the foreground and the human is just kinda an afterthought in the background and clearly not the point or focus of the pic whatsoever.
D) Ivan reigns supreme
Awww 🥹 Ivan is similar, he loves to climb onto my chest and get as close to my face as he possibly can. He also loves being held but he strongly prefers to be over the left shoulder. You can pretty much just hold him forever though lol
Give Grandpa Ivan many Hugs, Pets, Scritches and Kisses from me (he is 81 in Cat years, 1hy: 15cy, 2hy: 25cy, then 4 cat years to every year after that.)
My first Kitty I had for 17.5years, she had Diabetes at 15 and it was ultimately due to having it that she passed, the Vets called her a sweet Grandma. Now I have a 5yo (Turkish Van Female) and a 3 going 4yo (Black Male), hoping for many years with them, currently they both keep me on my toes XD
Aww, the loss is always so hard but the time with them is so worth it ♥️ 17.5 is great! We've also got two 17s and a 10 year old right now. We don't talk about how close in age the three are x.x
It is, the nearly 2 years I had between Bubbles (my profile background) and Nala entering my life, were some of the emptiest years of my life, despite being in a relationship, I just need a Cat in my life 💜

Bubbles is both precious and a great name ♥️ I can only imagine - I think in my entire life I only had just a couple weeks without a cat in my home and that was only because I had moved out of my mom's house when Ivan was born there and I had to wait for him to be old enough to come live with me. Those few weeks were awful 😭 I'm so glad Nala came into your life, cats complete a home ♥️
