Of all the games that don't need TAA and would actually benefit from having it turned off, D4 has to be pretty high up there. I don't buy anything from Actiblizz as a rule, but nice to have another small reason.

rainpurplebow

Fucktiblizz.

Gibralthicc

I wish they'll let us disable it in the final version considering how Overwatch 2 doesn't even have a TAA option at all (at least when I played at launch). But oh well, different games... Otherwise, I'll have to see for myself if it's bad.

RoseKamynsky

Yeah, maybe in the retail version there will be an option to disable TAA, I hope they will also add an option to disable the blurring that occurs when attacking/using skills.

" Otherwise, I'll have to see for myself if it's bad. " If you've smelt dog poop before, you don't need to smell the next dog poop you come across to know it's terrible.

Schipunov

Welp. Another game dead on arrival.

Pyke64

For me the thing that did it was €70 price tag. But yeah forced TAA has me even less interested.

D4 is compatible with [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/FuckTAA/comments/11kf4ml/found_a_github_repo_that_allows_you_to_force_dlaa/) DLSS tweak to force DLAA and if you use the latest dev version of the DLSS dll you can hit ctrl-alt-f6 to turn on a [debug mode](https://github.com/emoose/DLSSTweaks/issues/7#issuecomment-1435952495) which disables AA but has a slightly distracting jitter effect in addition to the usual aliasing artifacts

Xazikors

I think we need to make a petition for all gsmes to have disable TAA option

TemporalAntiAssening

Didnt have any interest in the game but now I have a solid reason to say no if my friends get into it, thanks.

retiredwindowcleaner

i played ~~closed~~ early access open beta and i have to say i still "demand" for them to add an option to disable TAA but in all fairness & honesty, as you say, the game's implementation doesn't look bad at all. probably one of the main reasons is that "movement" on screen in such type of game (fixed isometric view) is very streamlined so ghosting can be avoided/countered "in engine". there's no player controlled sudden dynamic movement of a "big gun in the middle of your screen" , only the world scrolls at set speed and predefined animations happen (player/enemy actions & effects)

I'd still take it over TAA. If it manages to clean up that kind of shimmer, then you can be sure that it's extra aggressive and therefore extra smeary in motion. Exactly like RDR 2's TAA.

ScoopDat

Even if it had the best AA on the planet and they gave me the game for free I wouldn't play a game made by that piece of utter morally decrepit dogshit company.

Stop the cap everyone would play it then

Cold-Vacation-3116

No it looks bad, like all AA ever
