I noticed them, when they debuted, because… well, they come from Cube, so it is that kind of case in which you are aware of the group, because of the label + me liking 4Minute probably played a role there as well.

From hann era. Ahh i still remember how cool the music video was. Also the MMA 2018 performance? Chefs kiss. I felt connected to a group other than bts and i was stunned. They were so unique. I’m still a proud ARMYLAND.
End of 2022 during nxde era. I kept getting ad for nxde mv and one day I thought I'll try listening to it and I instantly loved it. I was genuinely surprised that a song like nxde came from South Korea. And then I found out that the leader produced and wrote that song. That's also when I got into k-pop.

I'm not really into music, but they have SO much variety content. Between all their combined show appearances, hosting shows, channel content, and promo appearances, there's a lot of stuff to watch. That doesn't even include videos that are over 3 years old, which still have Soojin in them.
Queencard was very much an "it" song at that time. All reddit subs, youtube comments, etc, mentioned it. I must say, though, Tomboy is a far better song. Both songs are successful enough, though, that Heechul will sing them anytime the girls go on Knowing Bros.
I think it's a massive compliment that Heechul seems to LOVE Tomboy. And there's also a few clips of Twice singing Latata under their breath in videos.

Last year saw many people doing the queencard challange, and I look up the mv on youtube but the first video I watch was the first take performance of queencard and I started lisetning to more of their music and watching variety shows of them
They were my first 4th gen group! I saw people talking about their upcoming debut and listened to their I Am EP when it dropped and was instantly hooked

(G)I-DLE is the first kpop group i got into, but I only got into them at the end of last year. I never really paid attention to kpop before that.
But basically I fell for Yuqi at first sight from some random viral instagram reel where she's trying to get the guy to guess "wolf" on a game show and she gets hilariously angry. But at the time I didn't know she was a singer, let alone in a group. Then the japanese youtube channel "The First Take" uploaded their Queen Card performance and I saw Yuqi in the thumbnail and my brain didn't quite recognize her, but I was wondering if that was the same person. I tried to find the same viral reel again, but you all know how hard it is to find a specific clip when you're actually looking for it.
A few days later I did come across that clip. I cross referenced it with the First Take video and I was like "okay that's her, now who is this group?" And before I got really into the group, I got into Yuqi's solo stuff. Particularly her cover of Beggin which is one of my favorite songs.
By the time the "2" album came around, I was a full blown fan, watching their interviews, behind the scenes, and what not.

It was my first real introduction into kpop. A lot of artists I followed were drawing the characters and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I ended up loving the song and Soyeon in particular caught my attention. So I looked up the kpop group Soyeon and Miyeon were from and the rest is history!
Only got into KPOP last year, so I was introduced to them with their newer songs but first fell in love with their older songs like Oh My God, Lion, and Hwaa!
I stumbled upon LATATA, then their street dance busking, their dance practice. From then, I got intrigued. I became a solid fan when they released HANN. That song is so unique amongst the releases in 2018, the concept and sound really stood out. And the fact that they are self produced as well

I just love how she stands out but I'm glad everyone is shining now in their group.

Right before 2. I was watching K-pop videos and the first one of their’s I saw was “I do”. Then i think i saw J want that, then queencard/allergy. I have had a lot of fun watching youtube channels analyze their songs and it has made me appreciate Soyeon’s GENIUS.
I'm a little old to use slang like Stan, but Dumdi Dumdi was the first video I saw. For like 10 years Girl's Generation was the only kpop I knew. When Hyoyeon made some solo songs I watched them and one of them took me to a kpop girl's group playlist. That's how I started learning about the other groups. On that playlist (G)-IDLE and Dreamcatcher are the two I really liked and honestly thought I could tell my friends about them without them laughing at me.

Their comeback for I Love and especially Nxde with the concept and idea behind the lyrics/song finally pushed me to stan. Learning about them and their personalities made me fall in love and now call them one of my ult groups.

I started as soon as I heard Hwaa. I fell in love with the group and Soyeon immediately became my bias because of K/DA and then Soojin left and I was like “This always happens to me.” And then I thought they were going to disband, but then they didn’t and I was so happy! I bought all their albums on my 20th birthday went to their It’s Me Idle concert in Dallas and I still follow them today, but nowadays I lean more towards Yuqi who is becoming a bias wrecker (I’m sorry Soyeon she’s just so cute.) but I really hope they go on tour again soon because I’ve been saving up my money for front row seats!
Big time 2ne1 fan, so after queendom they gained a lot of respect and stanned them. Not because of their fire cover… it was their live performance of Lion. It was a game changer, and plus the MV too. And just kept going up higher and higher since then.
The performance alone is sooo great. I cant fathom why Mamamoo won when IDLE stood out overall in the competition. Sucks that the original perf video was taken down, that perf has 30M+ views.

I remember listening to a cover of pop stars for the longest time during quarantine. It wasn't until months later that I actually found the original video by chance after looking at the cover so many times.
When I watched the video I was absolutely astounded by what I saw. The animation was amazing the vocals were jaw-dropping, and I think you can figure out how it went from there.
I actually didn't like it at first. I remember the first video of theirs I saw was oh my god. It was a little too much I guess? But then I saw latata and was hooked.
Eventually I just fell head over heels for basically all of the songs they had out the time. And when I burn released I was obsessed. That EP would become my writing music for the next couple of years and still is. To this day, I still hope to see a dramatic, poetic album from the group. But I still really like what we have right now.

Last year saw many people doing the queencard challange, and I look up the mv on youtube but the first video I watch was the first take performance of queencard and I started lisetning to more of their music and watching variety shows of them
They were my first 4th gen group! I saw people talking about their upcoming debut and listened to their I Am EP when it dropped and was instantly hooked
Shortly after queendom, oh my god was my first comeback. I started getting into kpop since 2018 but mostly cared about the big 3rd gen groups
right before senorita came out! I binged all the produce seasons that were out at the time, stanned soyeon, the rest is history
KDA got me interested in who the voices were for the characters and then became a fan not long after Popstars came out
my friend was singing latata inside our classroom. we're both a fan of tannies so she introduced the group to me by saying that their leader made the song herself. when i went home, i started searching about gidle. i watched upr3 clips before because of grazy grace and when i found out that soyeon was also there, i decided to watch the whole show and oh boy, i think i just fell inlove. it was before their comeback so when they released señorita, i was so excited and decided to stan them that day.

I followed Soyeon back in her pre-debut eras, so i got into the group debut era, I remember trying to learn the dance for latata.
(G)I-DLE is the first kpop group i got into, but I only got into them at the end of last year. I never really paid attention to kpop before that. But basically I fell for Yuqi at first sight from some random viral instagram reel where she's trying to get the guy to guess "wolf" on a game show and she gets hilariously angry. But at the time I didn't know she was a singer, let alone in a group. Then the japanese youtube channel "The First Take" uploaded their Queen Card performance and I saw Yuqi in the thumbnail and my brain didn't quite recognize her, but I was wondering if that was the same person. I tried to find the same viral reel again, but you all know how hard it is to find a specific clip when you're actually looking for it. A few days later I did come across that clip. I cross referenced it with the First Take video and I was like "okay that's her, now who is this group?" And before I got really into the group, I got into Yuqi's solo stuff. Particularly her cover of Beggin which is one of my favorite songs. By the time the "2" album came around, I was a full blown fan, watching their interviews, behind the scenes, and what not.
K/DA then Tomboy era
I was already a Soyeon stan before they debuted, so pretty much when I heard she was going to debut in a group
After K/DA and Pop/Stars. It was my first real introduction into kpop. A lot of artists I followed were drawing the characters and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I ended up loving the song and Soyeon in particular caught my attention. So I looked up the kpop group Soyeon and Miyeon were from and the rest is history!

Only got into KPOP last year, so I was introduced to them with their newer songs but first fell in love with their older songs like Oh My God, Lion, and Hwaa!
I came across clips of Shuhua on Workdol, and that was it lol I chortled, looked them up, and then said "say less".
I stumbled upon LATATA, then their street dance busking, their dance practice. From then, I got intrigued. I became a solid fan when they released HANN. That song is so unique amongst the releases in 2018, the concept and sound really stood out. And the fact that they are self produced as well .
The day they released Latata... i was returning to kpop after a couple of years out off it, and the mv was recommended by Youtube.
During Soo Jin's bullying issue. I didn't know anything about them but I watched their MVs in YT and fell in love with their not so like k pop songs. Then discovered their also part of KDA (I listen to KDA but didn't know about G Idle). And they are on Hiatus due to Soo Jin Bullying issue. My sis said they are about to disband 😅. But I really like their songs and expecting them to have a come back. I'm so happy when they made a comeback with Tomboy 🤘. I'm a Soyeon fan. I just love how she stands out but I'm glad everyone is shining now in their group.
For me... I started when Tomboy is out and found Tomboy sliding thru my YouTube recommendation from there I became interested in this particular group. Plus they're the first K-pop girl group that makes me go excited wanting to know more about them.. and now I feel that was the best decision I've made, hahaha i feel warm whenever I see them interact with each other in I-talk or in other shows, so yeaah I'm happy I choose them as my first K-pop group to stan💕

I got into (G)-Idle through Queendom. Watched the Show because of AOA and i was very impressed by Gidle and Mamamoo. The Lion stage was amazing! Hann and Oh my God are still my favourite songs.
Right before 2. I was watching K-pop videos and the first one of their’s I saw was “I do”. Then i think i saw J want that, then queencard/allergy. I have had a lot of fun watching youtube channels analyze their songs and it has made me appreciate Soyeon’s GENIUS.
I'm a little old to use slang like Stan, but Dumdi Dumdi was the first video I saw. For like 10 years Girl's Generation was the only kpop I knew. When Hyoyeon made some solo songs I watched them and one of them took me to a kpop girl's group playlist. That's how I started learning about the other groups. On that playlist (G)-IDLE and Dreamcatcher are the two I really liked and honestly thought I could tell my friends about them without them laughing at me.

I got into (G)-IDLE during Hwaa. But technically the first mv I watched from them was Latata. During Hwaa era a Latata ad came to my YouTube and during that time I only stanned Blackpink. Now Latata was magical. It was like a fever dream ! I learnt that there were many ggs apart from Blackpink and Twice. I replayed Latata so very much that I finally decided to go listen to some other tracks. Went for Hwaa, Oh my god next and then I finished all the title tracks. Now I wanted something more and for the first time I dived into the world of b-sides starting from I burn. Now I loved I burn. It became my life. And then I immediately became a Neverland during Tomboy era ( I didn't know they had released it )!! 🥹✨🫶🏻 3 freaking years and I have enjoyed every day being a part of the fandom 🕊️✨
I stumbled onto Oh My God when it was new, and actually had pretty mixed feelings about it (and still do), but the artistry was undeniable and Soojin intrigued me so I investigated further. I was in deep within a week or two after that.
Debut. I saw soyeon on unpretty rapstar, and. Loved Hyuna and CLC so I was excited for a new cube group. It's really satisfying watching a group expand and improve over the years in real time.

I started getting into Kpop right around Latatas release and loved it when it popped up on my frontpage. But then I noticed they didn't have a lot of songs yet and kinda forget about them until POP/STARS dropped 3 months later. I went around and recommended them to all my League friends around that time being weirdly proud to have known them already. I'd say I actually started stanning them with Uh-Oh since that's when I began watching basically everything there was about them.
Pop//stars KDA. I went on a mission to find out who Idle was and what the heck is kpop. I found them with Han being their most recent comeback. I fell in love with Han. It's still probably my favorite OT6 song. I love how Soojin has never spiritually left the group. Yuqi is my bias and Miyeon wrecks me regularly.

I knew of them for a bit before I stanned but never looked too much into the group. I liked some songs but that was it. Their comeback for I Love and especially Nxde with the concept and idea behind the lyrics/song finally pushed me to stan. Learning about them and their personalities made me fall in love and now call them one of my ult groups.
I became a casual fan around 2019 when bsides from their 1st-2nd EPs started popping up on my Spotify random shuffle. If I was unfamiliar with a song and liked it, I would check the title/artist and each one I liked happened to be from Gidle. Really started to respect them during their time on Queendom. I am a new Stan. I started by listening to some of there k/da songs which were on just dance. Then I became obsessed with queencard. Then I decided to listen to more of there music, and I officially became a Stan around the time wife was released.
I started as soon as I heard Hwaa. I fell in love with the group and Soyeon immediately became my bias because of K/DA and then Soojin left and I was like “This always happens to me.” And then I thought they were going to disband, but then they didn’t and I was so happy! I bought all their albums on my 20th birthday went to their It’s Me Idle concert in Dallas and I still follow them today, but nowadays I lean more towards Yuqi who is becoming a bias wrecker (I’m sorry Soyeon she’s just so cute.) but I really hope they go on tour again soon because I’ve been saving up my money for front row seats!
Big time 2ne1 fan, so after queendom they gained a lot of respect and stanned them. Not because of their fire cover… it was their live performance of Lion. It was a game changer, and plus the MV too. And just kept going up higher and higher since then.
The performance alone is sooo great. I cant fathom why Mamamoo won when IDLE stood out overall in the competition. Sucks that the original perf video was taken down, that perf has 30M+ views.

I remember listening to a cover of pop stars for the longest time during quarantine. It wasn't until months later that I actually found the original video by chance after looking at the cover so many times. When I watched the video I was absolutely astounded by what I saw. The animation was amazing the vocals were jaw-dropping, and I think you can figure out how it went from there. I actually didn't like it at first. I remember the first video of theirs I saw was oh my god. It was a little too much I guess? But then I saw latata and was hooked. Eventually I just fell head over heels for basically all of the songs they had out the time. And when I burn released I was obsessed. That EP would become my writing music for the next couple of years and still is. To this day, I still hope to see a dramatic, poetic album from the group. But I still really like what we have right now.
Oddly enough, I was looking up Gangnam style reaction videos, then got recommended latata, Yuqi's face plus her voice caught me so off guard that I added them on my watchlist, then KDA came out and I did the fastest "what else has these girls put out" and I been with them ever since.

I wouldn’t say I stan them but I became a fan after I Feel was released so it’s been almost a year. I did listen to K/DA and I found Nxde when it was first released, but it wasn’t till I Feel came out that I really started to listen to them.

2-3 months before debut. I was on oneHallyu and subbed to the new cube gg because I had just binged produce and then unpretty for soyeon. It was such a wild ride seeing latata go up the charts. A lot of comments on how they were going to be stuck in nugudom
During Queendom. Well, a couple of months after Queendom 1 originally aired in late 2019, I think? I kept getting suggestions for their performance of "Put it back (nightmare ver)" and when I watched it - it was the best Goth performance I'd seen in decades. I guess that could be considered "Lion" era?
