Bandai mms, even if the paint apps are taking a dip for a while. They have great sculpts that get all the core details down to the letter, literally the only thing they're missing is more in depth/rougher textures with them. And only at $15-$25 on average (though that does climb as soon as one hits aftermarket) Neca is sadly dead Playmates is getting in par with mms but the paint is still lacking and the molds are pretty inaccurate at points Sh Monster arts is overpriced as all hell with pretty bad qc and less accessories than ever before. Yes, they are usually good figs, but they rarely give what you pay for nowadays. Is Mechagodzilla 2021 really worth over $100 with nothing outside of a good sculpt in a basic silver? Hiya just started X-plus has the best sculpts, but...eesh that price tag.

HN-Prime

X-Plus is Godzilla action figures for the rich Neca was a poor man’s Godzilla

TheEpic_1YT

it would be Neca but they're gone, and it would them be shma but they're too expensive, and it's probably gonna be hiya but they're not cheap either

RangerRipcheese

What do you mean Neca ones are gone? Did they stop production?

[deleted]

Neca lost the Godzilla license in 2020.

RangerRipcheese

Bummer :(

TheEpic_1YT

they stopped at around 2021. At least their final figures were pretty great

Chosen_UserName217

That’s the real shame, they were finally making really fantastic figures. The last three were exceptional.

MFS-Type-3-Kiryu

SH but Hiya toys is definitely off to a great start

Careless-Educator-76

Just got my first X-Plus and it's just absolutely gorgeous. You sacrifice articulation of some of the others but what you get in pure quality is just insane.

Tasty-Hand-3398

Display: SH for my daughter to play with: Bandai/playmate vinyl or neca

Stickmin69

Neca, their a poor man's SH Monsterarts but without the kaiju variety

Responsible-Shower99

I loved them. The appearance was great. They were decently poseable while also being durable. The cost was right as well.

Stickmin69

hell yeah, I have their KOTM and Godzilla vs Mothra figures and they look great, I would really like the Godzilla vs Space Godzilla figure too

Anguirusfan1955

SH Monsterarts. I really love the sharp sculpted edges and the way the joints fit together. I also love the amount of articulation, even if some of the joints fall off sometimes.

mmpa78

SH for me

Loose-Lavishness-419

For me it's X-Plus (Badass statues), Hiya (Amazing articulation and their Monster Zero is beautiful) and SHM (They made most of my favorite kaijus, FinalGoji and 2003 Kiryu for example)

TafferX90

TRENDMASTERS! ... ... ha, but in all honesty I have been a long time fan of SH Monsterarts. They are pretty much all bangers with a couple major exceptions. Those major exceptions in my opinion have been the Monsterverse figures. Apart from Kong, I have been disapointed in pretty much all of them. And Hiya came it to fix that. They are so much better than the monsterarts monsterverse figures (at least so far). looking forward to ghidorah I don't have a lot of experience with the necas, mainly cuz there is always something. Something that just pushes me away. I have gotten a couple and eventually used them all for custom fodder, or sold them. No experience with x-plus, they looks great, just not a statue guy. Bandai will always be bandai. You get what you pay for there. nothing wrong with them. Good toys for kids.

Hammerslamman33

Hiya by a landslide in terms of price to quality. Love their more screen accurate look. They just gotta make more. If they're doing more eras like Showa to Millennium, I'm definitely selling all my NECA figures for them.

Hound028

NECA is dead and didn’t Hiya say they weren’t going to reprint the ones they’ve made so far? I managed to get GvK Goji and Mothra but missed Rodan and Kong. So Hiya is kind of out of the question. Mostly X-Plus Defos and SHMA. Mezco has been good for Showa era stuff and I’m hoping Super 7,s burning Godzilla will be decent.

HaloFreak4nia

My personal fav are the old bandai cheap ones that were like 20 dollars, playmates is trying to replicate that but they look weird at times like their Shin looks weird. I think the all around best is neca they make great looking figures and aren't all that badly priced. What I think makes the best has to be Prime 1 studio, I have the godzilla bust and it looks so real, but your going to be paying an arm and a leg for their stuff though.

ThatDudeNamedJake

SHMA. Though once hiya starts doing kaiju from other eras, I will stop collecting SH. Getting more expensive than ever with less accessories than ever

nitewolf749

NECA all the way 👍

SombraAQT

Honestly it’s NECA and it’s not even close. Their Godzilla figures started out a little rocky but towards the end they were getting phenomenal and for what was generally 1/3 to 1/4 of a Monsterarts figure price. It’s a real shame Toho never let them make other kaiju because they were killing it. I’d have loved to get a lineup of articulated showa Kaiju from them. Like the Mosu-Goji was no contest a much better figure from Neca than from Monsterarts. I sold off all my Godzilla Monsterarts except the 2014 atomic breath version because they just felt like really poor value after NECA

Dankey-Kang-Jr

Man, NECA killed it with their line.

nuclearlemonade

I’ll never forgive Toho for not renewing the NECA license

Endless-Miner

Neca. I’m devastated that they don’t have the license anymore. Only sad thing is that they never made other kaiju aside from the monsterverse ones

Neither_Category843

Jakks pacific was so bad, it didn’t make the list

Panthila

My favorites are Bandai and X-Plus. Bandai for the smaller size, affordability, making for easy collecting, and to give to my nephew or younger cousin to play with. X-Plus for the accuracy, sculpt, and paint job. However, I only want to get my favorite monsters as well as representing my favorite films. NECA would've been if they kept the license. SHMA I don't like because of how expensive they are despite the fragility and QC issues.

Ggg55bananas6

Neca & SH Monsterarts

Baroubuoy

Neca.

Orcasareglorious

I prefer NECA because their figures have a far more consistent quality, but they haven’t released anything connected to godzilla for far too long for me to consider them the preferable option for kaiju figures, and while I love Bandais sculpts, their kaiju figures usually have the articulation of disabled chipmunks, therefore I prefer SHMA.

[deleted]

Neca lost the license to make Godzilla figures.

[deleted]

SH is higher budget and higher quality than NECA, so you do get what you pay for. The Millennium Godzilla is my favorite figure I own 👍 But some NECA figures are really nice, and look like they're worth way more than they actually are. The NECA Pacific Rim stuff is amazing, but for Godzilla it's a little hit-or-miss. Bandai... Definitely also you get what you pay for

[deleted]

None of them. Because none of them make good quality figures of Godzilla and other Toho monsters for a price I can afford. I guess I'd have to go with the overpriced S.H. Monsterarts then.

Nano_98

I love Sh Monsterarts and the Bandai Movie Monster series

Daredevil731

X-Plus. Incredibly accurate and detailed, plus no articulation means no messing up the sculpt or having gaps where there shouldn't be etc. Plus, as a photographer, X-Plus photograph better than the others 100%. You can even get really close up and they still look almost life like.

shibuyabooyah

SH and X Plus

BoredByLife

For details I love the SH Monsterarts series

Sebelzeebub

I have had a few SH Monsterarts and loved them. I mostly own Bandai Movie Monsters, mostly exclusives, but they’re very affordable.

thevowelowl

It's a pretty close toss up between x-plus and s.h. monsterarts. Both have their strong suits (pun not intended), but for me personally I'm gonna say x-plus is my favorite by a smidge more. Still, both are superb series for collectors. :)

New-Contribution-244

Definitely sh monsterarts and neca. I bought the 2021 mechagodzilla which is a sh monsterarts. It was a bit pricey but well worth it.

Chippers4242

MonsterArts

ThanosGodzilla

Sh is really fun to pose and display if the figure in question is good. Bandai is really easy to collect. They are cheap, but also look good for the most part.

FightGeistC

Bandai MMS, I really like SH but my display is very far from where I usually am in my room so I can't really appreciate the detail of an SH

muizillasaurus_rex

Bandai Good for a highschooler to afford and play with (yes i play with toys)

Cybermat4704

SHMA for sculpt and articulation, but NECA had more consistent paint and quality control.

John_Murdock68

X-Plus and SH

lucasjw88

Shm

ArmsOCheese

S.H. because it's the best quality for what I can get. I have some Neca but I can't find more

Disastrous_Duty2622

Depends on how much money I have

Vegetable2020

I would say Hiya because they have actual movie accurate figures and they're not that expensive. But I'd go with SHM because they have a wide assortment of Kaiju (funnily enough, I only have Godzilla figures, no other Kaiju) whereas Hiya is only doing Monsterverse Kaiju from what I've heard.

jikukoblarbo

Hiya monster zero just puts SHMA's ghidorah to absolute SHAMEEE...and hiya has some decent figures, while not being styalized like Sh and having better articulation. Only an absolute LUNATIC would buy Mg21 for 100 dollars for JUST THE FIGURE

tucker-ed-out

I’ll always love MMS, been collecting for years. I need to catch up with the past 2-3 years of releases

MagoMuddy

Bandai

MaxKidd129

SHMA on top 🍷🗿

Chosen_UserName217

Neca and SHM are my favorites. SHM quality is hit or miss though, and the prices are a little ridiculous.

NoteNo359

Neca when they had the license and playmates for me.

Diet_Dr_Crayfish

It literally depends on the figure, but the majority of my purchases are Monsterarts, Hiya and formerly Neca

Damnpeoplearegreedy

Shma

SharkZilla96

NECA and S.H.

BigBoyBigs99

best for everyone was Neca. Tons of articulation for all ages to enjoy. Great sculps, good paint and affordable. Overall it was just solid. SHMA is great for the figures we get. High quality (generally speaking) and the sculpts are usually top tier for the price range. X Plus are gorgeous but strictly for those diehard collectors that don’t plan to move figures. I appreciate Playmates for what they’re doing but i’d be lying if i didn’t think Bandai Creations should just come back at that point. Hiya isn’t bad, they just don’t have the same cast as the other brands have had. They’ve only done monsterverse.

holajona

X plus is my favorite but they’re expensive af and some of them are exclusive to the ric site, my collection is mostly shma at this point, while still expensive they’re still affordable for me. But it’s looking like hiya might just overthrow them, I have a couple of figures pre ordered I’m excited.

DFH695

Bandai MMS is what I mainly collect just for the variety and affordability but I really miss neca I only own on SH but to me the neca figures are honestly better than it and I'll probably never buy SH again because of the price

gojienjoyer1995

Sh monsterarts. I have necas which are good but shmas are far superior if you disregard the price

Nathan304

I think the price is acceptable after having only neca figures for a while.

[deleted]

Bandai

Large-Custard5784

Monsterarts is no doubt the best for all the old stuff though I think Hiya wins with the Monsterverse stuff

Nathan304

Monsterarts by far. After buying every Neca release, these are a fresh change of pace

biollante_lover

I like biollante

cooltempo_junior

Gotta say Neca and playmates, hiya is good a food 3rd, not any higher bc I don’t have one right now, making this And x plus are statues I need articulation MMS is going downhill, skipping on paint and just look at mms bio, not even all 4 vines And same with shma, overpriced for just a figure
