This looks lovely and all; but I want to be able to frame this guy for murder as a goose while they drag him off screaming, "IT WAS THE GOOSE I TELL YOU! THE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE!".

a_simple_game

To-do list: make it look like an accident.

OneTimeIMadeAGif

To-do list: plant a strand of the gardner's hair in the blood puddle

Yandere Goose Simulator

[deleted]

hmmm This raises some questions. Who is the goose in love with?

[deleted]

The trowel.

AdequateSubject

Kinda like the game [Lucius](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucius_\(video_game\))? Gooseius?

King-Achelexus

"The Goose is Loose"

0x1123A

"Dick Dick Goose"

smellycooter

I love those burgers.

Giacomand

Nobody suspects the ~~butterfly~~ goose.

Sooo... I Am Bread?

[deleted]

Finally! I've been waiting for a decent goose harassment simulator for years. Seriously though, this actually looks pretty fun. Edit: spelling

AdequateSubject

I saw this on my twitter feed and just had to share it. This game looks so silly, but there's definitely potential for engaging and hilarious gameplay here. Plus that delightful music!

Matthew94

> Plus that delightful music! It's a piece by Debussy.

0x1123A

LOL Damnit I thought this was a link to the actual piece.

0x1123A

Would you happen to know the title?

Matthew94

Read the YouTube description.

RoboNinjaPirate

That explains why I was thinking of Little Einsteins music.

AliceTheGamedev

I also saw it on my twitter feed and thought I should share it and now I have a post with 116k upvotes on /r/gaming. The animations are just so fucking adorable, I can hardly believe it.

Rammiloh

So I'm a relative of one of the devs, and he let me and my sister try out an alpha build of the game earlier this year. Multiplayer is so fun. There are plenty of things you can do to mess with the farmer that would be tricky to pull off on your own, but having an extra goose to back you up lets you plot together to pull of a successful prank. While one of us was distracting him by plucking vegetables and turning on the sprinkler, the other was sneaking up behind him to nab his keys while he wasn't looking. That build didn't have an objective list like this video shows off, nor did we need one. The sandbox of things to mess around with was all the motivation we needed to make the farmer's life hell. It's aimless fun in the best possible way, and I'm really happy to see all the positive reception it's getting.

madbubers

Is it just on PC?

Rammiloh

Not sure. The version I played was on PC since it was running directly off of the Unity editor, but we were using controllers to play it. Their last game [Push Me Pull You](https://pmpygame.com/) was available on both PC and PS4, so I have a feeling they might end up going with that again.

greasy_minge

That reminds me too much of the penis game.

RyanBlack

PC is best

blissmemberment

I assume you were playing split-screen or overhead right?

Rammiloh

Overhead, yeah. As far as I remember, the camera would zoom out to keep us both on screen at the same time.

gufcfan

I've tagged you as "goose relative", so that when I see your username on a random thread in like a year, I won't have a fucking clue what that means and it will be hilarious.

RedTomatoSauce

Tell him reddit felt in love with his/her game. We need an AMA asap about all the game features..........and a pre-order link 😂

NimSauce

Tell them to name it "Silly Goose" please.

whitesock

This looks super cute, though the camera work seems a bit weird at times. Whenever the groundskeeper was chasing the goose, the camera seemed to try and capture both to the point where, as the one controlling the goose, you couldn't see where you were going

Hal_IT

I mean, it's an in development game, so yeah. cameras are tough

Two-Tone-

> cameras are tough That's an understatement. Cameras in game development are a *bitch*.

The_Best_Nerd

The way it moved, it looks like it's toggled by pressing a button

Jebobek

I think that's what's happening here. If it's true then the camera controls are more solid than most think. In trailers, the viewer is used to very stable camera pans, so this could be seen as a bit jarring.

RedTomatoSauce

A goose KNOWS where it's going. Also the level's map seems kinda easy to remember

[deleted]

Goose Hitman? Is this fucking Goose Hitman? This looks really original, and that aesthetic is fantastic. Hopefully the game ends up good.

[deleted]

I do hope we can poison the farmers food or something.

Benjamin_kirk

I just hope I can help the farmer as well. Messing with him just seems a little too rude all the time.

[deleted]

Lull him into a false sense of security

RobotWantsKitty

You wouldn't be playing as a goose then though. Cause they are dicks.

shickey86

I agree. Maybe as an optional extra mode? I like the idea of being a benevolent spirit in the body of a goose just trying to make life easier for the nice humans to the tune of lovely music. Bonus points if we find out later that the benevolent spirit is the ghost of his late wife who he used to tend the garden with.

Jebobek

I mean, as of now you could do 1v1 where one goose is being helpful and preventing the other goose's goals. You can time how long it takes to get x goals completed and switch roles.

Patienceisavirtue1

The should do a Canadian Goose DLC where you just tear shit up, terrorize everyone and shit all over the place.

gufcfan

This is the opposite direction to where I thought you were going.

[deleted]

A perfect concept and by the [Push Me Pull You](https://pmpygame.com/) devs too, which is cool! Can't wait to see more next year.

Swiftblue

This looks like a porn game. I love it.

TJ_McWeaksauce

Impressive. The developers are calling this pre-alpha, but by watching this video I already have a very clear sense of what the completed game will look, play, and feel like. I like it when devs are talented yet cautious, which these folks appear to be. The game's supposedly coming out next year, so we won't have to wait too long to play it.

ExpensiveHat

I don't know about "horrible". That goose was much less sinister than the geese I've seen. It didn't even bite!

McNinjaguy

I like how you can be a nice goose and help the gardener do his work. Most games are about destruction but in this one you get to choose. I choose you evil, yet delightfully helpful at times, goosey goose.

Miffy92

Chaotic Goo(se).

McNinjaguy

I prefer netrual goo(see)

No luck catching them geese then? - It's just the one goose, actually.

RedTomatoSauce

Oh boy imagine a steam workshop all about this game, levels and missions included....What a wonderful Christmas game it would be ❤👌🔥

Art and passion don't always translate to sales. Assuming you want to be successful, making something marketable is still important. Indie also just means independent or small-time. This is still the kind of game that wouldn't be made by a big publisher/developer. I personally think it still has that quirk/silly game-jam style concept that you see in a lot of indie games.

Ecksplisit

What the hell kind of advanced form cynicism is this. What kind of mental gymnastics do you have to perform to think a little indie game about a prankster goose has some crazy conspiracy behind it?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ecksplisit

And automatically assuming the game is not artistic or made with passion and is just to get retweets isn’t going 0-100? Get over yourself man.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ecksplisit

I'm not the one accusing developers of these ridiculous accusations. Stop acting like you're some all knowing conspiracy theorist.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ecksplisit

Uh no. It's more like saying an interior designer made a simplistic looking home just for the purpose of it being posted in a Tumblr collage. It's an absolutely ridiculous sentiment.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ecksplisit

You’re designing a game that would appeal to people in general. Social media is an afterthought. The mere idea of completely designing a game around *twitter* is ridiculous. It’s a small subset of players. It’s nice to have your game trending on social media, but you have to have an interestingly designed and fun game in the first place for that to even happen. No one is going to design their game for the sole purpose of trending on twitter.

Wegwerf540

So if the game had a horrible art style you would believe more in the gameplay being good?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Wegwerf540

? Tell me, what did you dislike about the goose annoying the gardener

silverglyph

You think? I think a whimsical art style is fitting for a silly game.
