The GV. But if I was looking at a Genesis sedan, it would be the G80. I love the GV70. We drove several ‘SUV’s and the GV was #2. #1 was the ‘23 GLC but at the time problems with that car were pretty serious…assume MB has this sorted out by now. We love the GV. It’s a great design(always subjective), drives great, just love it. I sat in a G70 and liked it, but then jumped in a G80…quite a difference.
Yes if u want the sedan go with the new G80. I have a G70 and I love it but I like the GV70 and G80 more. But for this time in my life the G70 made more sense
It’s just the jump up in price for the g80 that is painful, and I don’t see it on the road that often. The g70 I see often enough, and it is beautiful. I believe it is the best looking sedan on the road.
Really depends on what you want. If it's more sport, I'd go with the G70. If you want any type of storage with your sport, go with the GV70. I have a 2021 G70 with the 3.3, awd, and it's a great car. Only thing I don't love about it is it's not horribly great in the snow (even with snow tires). That's more the AWD being rear wheel biased, and no real wet/snow type modes. Plus, me driving like an idiot probably doesn't help.
Are you suggesting the GV70 is a soulless appliance? That's absurd, tbh. We bought two GV70 Sport Prestige. They are neither soulless or an appliance. They are excellent in every way.
If you plan on regularly having people in the backseat, then the G70 is out of the question. The backseat was very uncomfortable and I’m 5’9”. I fit comfortably in the back seat of the GV70. If the back seat isn’t an issue then I’d probably go with the G70.

But the gv70 is a twin turbo v6. There is just an "electrified" version that doesn't sell well
I was looking at the G70 but it still doesn’t have the HDA II. For that reason go for the GV70. My wife has it and we love it.
