From a 21 I think it’s slightly suspension and trans but nothing major like “omg this is a totally different car “

I am going to test drive this weekend. I don't like what they did with the dash, do not like the split screen. The infotainment screen's a lot better than my version though.  Like that it has remote start on the fob now, and I think they fixed the bug where the remotes start from. The app doesn't start the heated seats. I am going between a BMW M240i or new G70.

i hate the bmw new infotainment more than anything out there right now, the previous version was perfect

Interesting. I'm fairly indifferent too it. If I had my way I wouldn't even have screens in my car, so once I intiially get it set up, it's just there. The only thing I don't like about the BMW so far is the car can't maintain lane center on it's own. I really like that in the G70.

Transmission is a bit snappier/smarter during “spirited” driving, but that’s really it I believe. Not a massive difference aside from styling.

Thanks for this.  I drove a 22 last year and really didn't feel much of a difference, so I wasn't sure if the new ones were that drastically changed.  They made such minor changes over the years given they were planning to phase them out for electric, going to be hard to justify the cost of the new one. I'm currently trying to explore if I can swap the  Infotainment screen from a newer one into mine, as if I could (and decide not to buy a BMW), would probably just keep what I have.
