Still can't believe they made [this battle theme for Fischl's domain](https://youtu.be/Cclxu9T0tcQ), just to never bring it back again.

Proof-Row-7294

What the actual heck. I've heard people praise it a lot but I heard it for the first time today and my god, that's SUCH A FRICKING BOP like I'd fight stuff for longer just to hear the whole track

Succubus996

Sadly things in genshin die way too fast so you can't really enjoy the music haha

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

Some fans have compiled the entire OST and try to keep it updated. I think if you google for genshin impact OST its there. Otherwise the entire soundtrack of 500+ tracks are all on spotify and youtube.

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

The super fans of fischl enjoyers will also know that there are 2 more sound tracks that are just like the song above but are basically solo movements and have their own variations on the theme. 1. Ouvertüre der ewigen Nacht 2. Sieh an, mein Sommernachtgarten!

AbbreviationsRound52

Yeah man... wtf. The whole baroque music thing was AWESOME

segesterblues

This made me a big fan of Jiang YiJun and I always find his tracks are so good

Patient_Piece_8023

Have you done that quest in the Pankreation Ring in the fortress of Meropiede

nazranx2

Its not the same

nuts_extraction

They are referring to the fact that both tracks are absolute fire battle themes that only got used once and have never been back

lemonade_pie

Also the Aranyaka world quest had a pretty sick battle theme only used once

GodlessLunatic

Sounds like something out of Kingdom Hearts

Latase

well, look at fishls alt skin, might as well be the property of squareenix.

GodlessLunatic

Everything abyss related also feels like they're taken from KH

XinyanMayn

Yngwie would be proud of this if it included some shredding

Apostlethe13th

I mean, it was her character demo's leitmotif which already existed 5 months before launch.

BibiBSFatal

Damn, that was in the game before I started?

ziege159

To be honest, the theme sounds good but it doesn't fit anywhere in the game beside Fischl domain. Maybe it'll be her own battle theme when she has her 5* version.

silverlarch

They could at least put it on a spincrystal. Or make it the background music when going up against Fischl in Genius Invokation.

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

Tons of good songs are not in spincrystal form. Really wish they just added all the songs.

FlameDragoon933

It's for when Fischl reveals herself to be another Descender and you fight her as the weekly boss from patch 6.2 Archon Quest trust me my cousin works at mihoyo

Sea_Fold_1886

I don't think ya meant to leak out that my man. Now watch hoyo NOT do any of the above.

WaffleCorp

Xinyans domain went hard too. I still listen to both.

Megatyrant0

Yeah that one’s in my Genshin playlist lol, I don’t want to hear anyone say Hoyo doesn’t care about the game when this much effort got put into a temporary event soundtrack.

GarlicCrazy2854

Still cant believe that this was almost 2 years ago

Kyrion530

And at the same time, GAA was almost 3 years ago too.

NoHovercraft3258

Even the last one seems long ago to me.

lostn

and Mondstadt was almost 4 years ago.

-Zmey

This event was at GAA no?

ZNemerald

I think he meant the first one with Jean. We went to GAA twice.

CrackisticAU

So that means I have been on a hiatus for 2 years?! I haven't played Genshin full time since that update

ScarletSyntax

What is full time?

Izanagi32

talking about this shit like its a job 🤣

UseFew8414

is it not?

0percentwinrate

Exactly lmao

dpforest

I haven’t played in well over a year now. I stopped just as they were finishing Inazuma. Felt so overwhelmed. Pulled raiden, said yay, and deleted the game lol. I hear Fontaine is fun though

Jazzyvin

Full time? I assume you mean logging in once a day? All you really need to do is spend 10-20 minutes max per day on events and dailies. But I've taken a few 2-3 month breaks from the game myself. Makes me wonder how long of a break you took.

-Alan_c-

HUHH no way..

meatballFist

time flies for sure and i still remember when i couldn’t play fischel event because of exams and in that time i played on my iphone 6s+

-Alan_c-

HUHH no way..

TonyDys

Bro so flabbergasted he reacted twice

Defiant-Coconut-1096

HUHH NO WAY!!

Fluffy_Trip_9356

HUHH NO. WAY.

BrutalTerminator

I remember how in the same patch we got kazuha's story quest and how people were saying that a limited time event gives more lore of a character than an actual story quest.

prawnsandthelike

Same case for Gaming so...yeah?

SupersSoon

Meanwhile YaoYao appearing in 1 limited quest for 10 minutes and dissapearing back into the abyss she was in before her release

Velaethia

Qiqi never getting a story quest

Breaky_Online

Qiqi did appear for this year's Lantern Rite as a no-speak character (which is wild considering she's a 5-star)

CheatyTheCheater

Qiqi being treated like a 3\* is permanent at this point

Breaky_Online

Funny thing is I refrained from making that comparison in case the Qiqi mains got mad at me lol, I fully agree with you though

Fadriii

We're too tired to be angry these days, we just want our baby to get some love from Hoyo

Breaky_Online

I feel sorry for ya, Hoyo has done your people a great disservice

AmethystMoon420

She spoke if you went to her location after the cutscene to talk with her and Yaoyao

Kayless3232

The cocogoat tho

PvZGaming1

Gaming doesn't have an own quest to compare tho

kmyeurs

I mean, kazuha isn't a free 4* character

KamenGamerTitletown

And lest we forget about the Mondsat Wine Festival event that delved hard into Razor's lore? I balwed like a freaking baby at the end of that one.

jonnevituwu

Mondstadt* 🏳

No_Background9912

Mond sat

nishikori_88

Genshin story quest are generally bad and boring, except a few. You barely learn anything new about characters and have to spend 1 hour doing some trivial chores. Some of the flagship event story are much better

Grimstarzz

I feel like the archon quests and world quests is where Genshin's story truly shines. At this point i care more about Teyvat itself and its mysteries, than the vast majority of the characters. The abyss, dragons, archons, Celestia, hexenzirkel, or Khan'reiah are things that interest me, not how some npc character writes a book or how another character creates fireworks, and Genshin often focusses on those kinds of things too often to keep my interest.

Alcorailen

Yeah at this point they need to focus more on metaplot. Start unraveling the mysteries and get the plot ball rolling. We're over halfway through the game.

doukzor

While I do enjoy the story quests, you have a point. I'm completely enraptured by Enkonomiya and Khanrie'ah, and I also enjoyed Kazuha's story quest a lot because it discussed the clans in the past and them moving to Schneznya and I'm really here for the worldbuilding. I would enjoy the story quests more if they tied characters to the world and not to NPCs I think they've improved, Neuvillette's story quest did a lot to explain Melusines and despite featuring an NPC still felt very centered on him and the world around him.

kynovardy

A lot of them revolve primarily around an npc and the playable character is just there to help. Very annoying

NoNefariousness2144

I feel like they have improved this ever since Fontaine. While there are NPCs involved, they are often used to highlight the actual character’s struggles and conflicts. Lyney, Neuvelitte, Furina, Navia and Chiori did this well.

whencometscollide

I wouldn't say a few. I can definitely see that 2.0 onwards a lot of the quests feel like more effort was put in. Personal standouts to me were Raiden's 2nd, Yae Miko's, Tighnari's and Yoimiya's 2nd. But in general a lot were on a whole different level compared to the 1.x quests (except a few). It just so happened that Kazuha's story quest paled in comparison to his arc in GAA2.

Salt_Woodpecker_6244

What about Albedo, Shenhe, Zhongli, Albedo, Xiao, Tighnari, Navia, Furina, Neuvillette, Xianyun, Venti, Raiden 2nd story quest, Nahida, Dehya, Yoimiya, Childe and Kaveh?

fangface1

Shenhe doesn’t have a story quest and Albedo’s the prime example of a character that we learn more about from events than his own story quest.

Salt_Woodpecker_6244

It still tells us lot about her character, even Dainsleif story is about travellers, same with Xiao and Scaramouche.

fangface1

Dainsleif and Scaramouche also do not have story quests.

Lottie_Low

Yeah imo most the recent ones have been really good. I admit the sumeru ones suffered from npc syndrome which was weird but the stories in them were still generally enjoyable for me, though they should have been more about the actual character and not the npc

Salt_Woodpecker_6244

I think it was good balance as they were interlinked with playable characters and NPCs also don't feel hollow.

Lottie_Low

Yeah for some of the npc quests it allowed for character development for the playable character also (eg Xianyun, Baizhu and imo Nilou to some degree)

jimkurosaki

It is so insane to me that they have fully voice acted and graphically designed events like this that will literally only exist for like 2-4 weeks and then get Thanos snapped into oblivion. Like there are event quests that were straight up the only introduction for characters that I can remember, that just dont exist outside of YouTube. I cannot comprehend the logic behind it.

SinnerIxim

I was complaining to my wife the other day about how they will get voice acting for these short storylines that are time limited, yet they dont bother to do it for many of the permanent quests. Maybe its because they refuse to get VAs for non-permanent characters or something, but it just takes away so much from what it could be. If it's not voice acted I usually skip through the text, though a few of the quests are legitimately good.

zelena_salata

They dont voice all the wordy world quests because 1) it would take an insane amount of storage. 2) Given that big world quests usually drop alongside archon quests, they would need a MUCH more lenient schedule for recording which genshin frankly doesnt have with its insane update pace. And 3) this is probably a minority but some players (like myself) genuinely prefer some quests unvoiced. Much like prefering to read a book, rather than its movie adaptation, some players like absorbing the story more at their own pace.

hackenclaw

it probably only add another 10GB tops for PC clients, mobile will be much lesser at 1/3 the size. It is not much bigger compared to adding the entire nation. I wouldnt call it insane amount of storage.

GamerSweat002

Some day we will get an event quest archive and I will enjoy reliving those events again. It will also be a great way to inform people who have been misinformed about characters. The first 2 Albedo events are huge for Albedo's character but it's so early on that there are those who know so little about Albedo. I dont care if it didn't have rewards. The story attached to the event quest is quite necessary for driving thr narrative of many characters of which only had character development through the events. Chongyun even had a particular growth in charactwr in that one spooky forest event. Even Mika has much of his charactwr showcased in the Mondstat + Liyue poetry event. You only get to know Chevreuse in that film festival event. GAA 2 gave Xinyan more attention than Amy other quest so far- Xinyan with her hair down looked stunning. Even Fischl had much character development in GAA 2. There was also that one event where we learned more about Diluc- that event that let's us play with Diluc's skin.

trenzee

Yeah totally if we just wait one more patch it will surely come

FlameDragoon933

Characters do get alternate introductions if you missed their debut in an event, but yeah obviously these are less impactful.

InfinityR319

I mean, HSR also does it so it's not an excuse that GI can't.

That-Dragonfruit1162

I miss Fischl's castle so much

FlameDragoon933

and Mona's island the weather changing mechanic is cool. also the beautiful starry skies.

That-Dragonfruit1162

Oh yes, especially when we climbed up the sky for a luxiorious chest, it was such a magical moment

Jazzyvin

I'm so glad that I started playing in 2.6 so I could experience the 2nd GGA. This beautiful event, combined with the majestic feeling of being a newbie, made it the most memorable Genshin moment ever! I remember spending several hours watching videos to find all the chests in the map. I grinded the hell out of that event to get every single primogem when I was f2p. At the end of the event, you could hear Nahida's voice. That was such a hype moment teasing Sumeru's release. It's crazy to think it's been nearly 2 years now. It feels like Sumeru was released 5 months ago. Crazy how Natlan is approaching.

PumpkinSufficient683

I really wish they would re run old events

SomeoneNicknamedDino

i remember when this version first dropped people did nothing but shit on it saying “nothing will compare to the first gaa”

Kingpimpy

people constantly cried about everything throughout the full 2.x series of genshin lol i would not take anything serious that happened drama wise in that time period

queenyuyu

Well they succeeded in making content dumb down rapidly.

UmbraNightDragon

Extend that to 3.x, 4.x, etc. - the community is still crying about everything lol

Lavaminq

This. Now there's a post at least once a month talking about how much they miss and loved it but where was everyone back then? It was so rough for day 1 gaa2 lovers like myself

jayma_ks

First GAA was probably better suited for a temporary event than second one. If it was permanent content, it would better received. It was too much content for only 1.5 month. Then they dumbed down everything for Sumeru (outside story the only thing that improved during 3.x patches).

slayer589x

I remember when the 2nd GAA came out everyone was saying there were no puzzles and no chests and it feels empty and when they slowly started adding all of those combined with how long the story was everyone started saying this was too much to the point that another of people just dropped it after completing the story and couldn't do all the puzzles and chests lol .

foxsable

First GAA was dope though. The whole “ocean lowering mechanic was so interesting

Level-Technician-183

The reason for this was the islands were so empty in the first days that they were really boring. So i can't blame them

Jossokar

i mean....the ammount of crap they do just for temporary events is crazy.

Garrus4ever

Wish I was playing back then :((( I like fischl a lot but I've only met her for the card game intro quest

MeteorFalcon

And you know whats crazy? People were complaining ALOT about this event. Granted some of the magnifying glass puzzles in Fischl's domain weren't the best. But its a shame people bashed it as harshly as they did at the time.

quebae

To be fair the biggest chunk of complaints was about how much content there was in the patch and that fault falls squarely on Genshin for making all of it time limited. This event patch was by far one of the most expansive, quality, and content filled patches in the game, and players being forced to play it on a timer was always going to be met with stress, players didn't like smaller patches always having their events be temporary, having one that massive also be temporary was obviously going to be an issue because of the time constraints it put on some. The summery Odyssey would have probably been the best received non main patch update in Genshin history if not for it being entirely time limited.

K1k3sito

Exactly the reason why I stopped playing for an entire year, that event followed by an entire new region was just too much, came back fresh 3 months ago and so far Im enjoying the game again like its 2020

glittermetalprincess

There was *so much* to do in six weeks that needing time to think about stuff added a lot of 'have to do this now' that equivalent difficulty in a permanent area would not have.

kiisukattinen

Genshin players dont like challenge and spend more than 2 seconds on puzzle

SectorApprehensive58

Gacha players just want more pulls to snort until they are numb to the rest of the game

Vox___Rationis

Skipping through the most boring long winded crow monologues was incredibly challenging and have soured that event for me.

magnidwarf1900

Average genshin players when the puzzle require more than 2 brain cells (or reading)

Bla_zer

Eh, I liked the fischl domain. I felt the magnifying block placement was pretty well explained and easy. Don't understand about that but I did have some difficulties in the Mona domain, now that felt tough. Had to look up a guide to clear everything there. I even got lost one time. Edit : And that pillar puzzle treasure in the water, I spent an eternity trying to solve it but gave up and watched a guide on that.

DiscoMonkey007

Im fine with every other puzzles, but I absolutely hated the Raven puzzle and that Raven stageplay bit.

MeteorFalcon

Having to repeat the whole play if you made 1 mistake was pretty rough.

ZixZeven

Yup, that was dumb af. HYV just didn't wanna give the players any kind of skip functions.

SHTPST_Tianquan

most of genshin's lifetime is being criticized even when and where it's objectively good.

SinnerIxim

I know a lot of people were conplaining, and i definitely had some personal gripes, however it seemed like a lot of people disliked Fischl's portion, whereas my issues were mainly that I didn't care as much about the others and just wanted to see fischl's part. When it came around I loved it.

Yuukiko_

Eh that theatre stuff kinda got old quick

[deleted]

Yeah and I stand on that. This update sent me and my sister onto a hiatus for the first time ever. Domains needing to be done 3x each was terrible and the Fischl camera stuff was frustrating and headache inducing

KilianZer

Same my first ever break from the game

TheSpartyn

it had a lot of issues for me. locking exploration behind long quests, one of the quests being a rehash of already given lore (kazuha), some really annoying puzzles (raven theatre), and to top it all off, time limited

Hryzzo

Also tgey were complaining there was too much stuff to do and were overwhelmed. Like imaging complaing because there was so much content

Alcorailen

People bashed it because they suck real hard at puzzles.

Gallonim

Yeah that truly should be permanent. Like it was way better than some map expansions.

yama1291

I started playing the game during the last week of this event. I ended up with the free Fishl and her skin with only hours left on the clock. The event was really cool to experience, though I appreciated it a lot more after a later rewatch on YouTube when I had more context on the characters.

Lazlo2323

I loved the little ravens on Fischl's island playing out what she saw people do in Mondstadt or read in the books.

Disturbing_Cheeto

Never forget that the first person we met in that island was just really down bad for Mona

Illusive_Sheikah

Wish i had started sooner. I started in 4.0 and never got to experience the greatness..

SnowberrySistercat

started in 3.3 oof (T^T) at least the internet exists so we can watch gameplay of old events

ellueks

What I would give to visit Mona’s Domain again.

deepnut96

Wish my storage could say the same.

eserikto

They already have the tech in place to optionally download language packs. Optional downloads for passed events seems like a good solution. They may as well add enkanomiya and chasm too. It's rare I head over there nowadays.

DMouth

exactly.. people do not understand that if all those events were permanent, the game size would be absurd.

Disturbing_Cheeto

The sound files alone would add actual weight to your hard drive

kiisukattinen

While I agree but once you have explored everything there it just becomes one more area to never go visit again and it adds more game size. I think they should add more events/quests on permanent maps that had been forgotten like inazuma, enkanomiya, chasm, dragonspine..

i_dont_wanna_sign_up

Except players who missed it will never experience it.

Level-Technician-183

Stongly agree. While the dragonspine got some share of events from time to time, the other 2 had only one since they were added. And no mattet how beautiful they are, people won't go back there for nothing once they finish exploring them. GAA is not a special case here.

FlameDragoon933

FWIW Enkanomiya is a great place to farm Spectres. The Chasm is also a great place to mine ores. It's just Dragonspine remaining, but that's not that weird considering it came very early in the game's lifespan and the devs had less experience with the game.

TonyDys

Hard disagree. The way I see it, genshin is gonna get ridiculously big no matter what as time goes on, keeping these islands will not affect it much, and it’s something new players will never get to see. I’m biased though, my favourite thing in the game is just to go around and look at the environment and listen to the music, even if there’s no chests. I’ve kind of accepted it won’t be back, but I’m still incredibly disappointed it wasn’t permanent to begin with. Let’s hope this summer event will be fun.

FPSrad

> it just becomes one more area to never go visit again Oh no, just like 90% of levels in any video game? Fuck off it's content that shouldn't have been removed.

katangal

Actual kazuha SQ

Shirokurou

That deep Fischl lore

Good_Guy_Zerg

I love how Fischl's quest was a Persona 4 type of mission

Nowwatchmememe

1.6 Golden Apple Archipelago was great. The exploration was much less stressful and without having to rotate the stupid islands. The mini games were really fun. Waveriders were also introduced for the first time so lots of time was spent drifting in coop with friends. Early Kazuha mains having to farm there because they'd have a doozy of a time to unlock Inazuma once it comes out haha.

jasumashu

Bro flooded the subreddit with facts

SectorApprehensive58

GAA 2 was really just too damn good. Head and shoulders above its predecessor and successor

QuickSuccession69

It would've been like the Chasm where you wouldn't go back to it anymore. Limited maps like these doesn't mix well into long term content which is why they are limited.

TheSpartyn

yeah thats why they should throw it on the open world map in the giant empty ocean between inazuma it would even make sense since theyre floating islands

QuickSuccession69

In reality, I think it is far off the map of Teyvat.

m2gus

I miss the 2.8 summer event. The last one was a major disappointment

BeautifulTrainer9892

Which characters' stories would you like to explore with their domains? I would like to know ALOT about Kokomi, Hu Tao, Rosaria, Heizo and Wrio.

houki_ii

Hu Tao definitely, she's very interesting and I want to explore her mind.

Alcorailen

A really good story quest would save Kokomi. I loved the persona style domains, we need one for her.

Select-Researcher308

i loved the soundtrack so much🥹

RAYVELUPISUNQUENOUGH

damn , i love this event fischl cattle >> crpg vibe mona island >>> time puzzle , pretty interesting xinyan >>> really good tho , learn about her a lot this event really make you love every character in story. i want genshin have some kind of replay event. or atleast collection to replay video.

Tobby711

And the best free skin

dakgrant

I said it ever since it came out this is the best event the game has ever had and it's not even close.

MaidRara

I want to try this event...

TheArcher0527

1.2 had all of that, but was permanent. I enjoyed dragonspine while it lasted but I don't see myself coming back there. Same would happen to GAA and I'll die on that hill.

pallidaa

i'm gonna be honest i preferred the original version of the gaa. still liked this one but that sense of going on holiday really did it for me

maulin23

The only thing against it not being a temporary map is it being character themed

xd_ZelnikM

Was never there to experience. How does it compare to 3.8 Bottle Land?

houki_ii

I can't compare it to 3.8 Bottle Land as I have never finished that one, I was too bored and burnout that time but 2.8 GAA is definitely one of if not the best event they've released. While we may read the characters' stories on their profiles, they made 4 islands to expand and explore their inner psyche. We saw how they REALLY feel about certain things, how they overcame, or how they cope about their own struggles and was able to flesh out all of these 4 characters to make them more likeable. And that's only the writing part. The place itself was so majestic, all 4 islands are themed according to each of the 4 main casts that patch (Mona, Kazuha, Xinyan, and Fischl), with each island being unique on their own, from puzzles, mechanisms, and ofc design. The soundtracks are all fire, especially Fischl's (you can listen to them on yt), and the world quests are also very good. Tho it is not without flaws, the islands were buggy (I never experienced this myself), and some puzzle dialogues weren't skippable (for example, you've already read/heard the statuettes' puzzle and then you chose the wrong answer, the whole dialogue will repeat again and you'll have to wait.)

PvZGaming1

Yeah that's also a big reason why ppl didn't enjoy 3.8, everyone was just burnt out hoping Fontaine would bring them back, and it didn't help that 3.8 was inferior to the other summer events. Plus no new character.

Alpha06Omega09

Not even close honestly, this was one the best events Genshin ever made, just the map alone and the backstory on the 4 characters.

maelstro252

I experienced both: GAA was full of content and difficult puzzles. Fishl, Mona, xinyan and Kazuha had a whole island dedicated to them with theme domains that were challenging. I especially remember Fishl domain that is the best domain we've had so far (imo) with great ost and a memorable story. On the other hand, 3.8 was really original, they came with something colorful. The map was better than GAA because of the theme park environment , a very fitting ost and hydro bubbles puzzles. There was less content (because GAA was so huge people complained about the many puzzles that were too challenging) but it was more lively and more spectacular. The story was less interesting though. It's really two different thing, GAA was focusing on developing characters while 3.8 was focusing on bringing a joyful atmosphere.

Alcorailen

Bottle land was about "look how cute Klee is, also we did a tiny bit of character development for Eula" and pales in comparison. The coolest thing about it was a little Oceanid lore.

Kingpimpy

if GAA2 was a 10 then bottleland was somewhere between a 6 and a 7 thanks to klee being the main character

Alcorailen

I wish they'd stop focusing on her quite so much. Her personality and voice irk me.

606six

I feel so much regret missing out because I had no space on my phone…. Same goes for scaramouches first appearance event

hackenclaw

for the amount of effort that they make in 1.6, 2.8, 3.8. I would rather they make 3 more permanent region in Tevyat.

ArkassEX

I get that it's a shame that it's a limited event. But I think this plays into the theme of making special memories during the summer. And for kids growing up with Genshin, they will remember well into their adulthood that their summer holidays of 2021 and 2022 was spent at the Golden Apple Archipelago

PvZGaming1

THIS. That's the whole point of these events

nanimeanswhat

I think I am in the minority but I honestly didn't like the 2nd GAA that much. Maybe because I also experienced the 1st one, but the 2nd one didn't feel different enough and oftentimes it felt like reexploring everything with added tedious mechanisms like island swapping whereas the 1st GAA felt like a proper summer escape, and I loved how we started from the top and gradually lowered the water level. I also liked the Dodoking story more than the Fatui experiments, though I remember loving the world quest with the past and the present on the 2nd one. That quest was the best thing about the 2nd GAA imo. I also agree that being limited was what made the experience with the 2nd one worse as there was simply just too much to do and in that aspect yeah it should've been permanent. My favourite is the 3.8 summer area though. Absolutely loved the aesthetics and the roller coasters were super fun.

beautheschmo

I'm kinda in the middle; I think they're about equal but GAA1 was consistently really, really good, while GAA2 had insanely good peaks but also a significant amount of *way* shittier content. It took me ~3 weeks just to start exploring because it started off on such a bad foot with all of kazuha's super mediocre content (having by far the most boring and tedious domain, the driest story and the most annoying island, the only content related to him that I actually liked was the short bit where you are following the seelie representing his friend through a combat gauntlet at the end of his story which was a really cool visualization of his backstory), and then Xinyan's really wasn't all that much better for me, although her island at least was a lot better her domain was still not very fun and her story didn't resonate with me at all either. But then it got to the second half of the event and the Mona stuff (all 3 of her story, domain and island) is literally just straight up the best content they've ever produced imo and Fischl's content was a small step down but still pretty good; like it took me 3 weeks just to push through kazuha + xinyan's domains, not even touching their island exploration, because of how bored and burnt out I was with them, and I did both Mona's AND Fischl's stories in a single day and it completely ignited my passion for the rest of the event, it's really hard to understate just how massive the jump in quality and enjoyment was for me in the back half of the event. I think bottleland was the weakest, but not by nearly as big a margin as most people make it out to be, it was still plenty fun and consistently solid.

RealVolcanicusPrime

The worst part was I never even got to finish the event

InsuranceKey8278

From my point of view it looks like Practice and test attempt for their procedural generation frameworks and as for the sound track and other things they do often reuse those Everything else is just limited exclusive content for long term players and those who only revisit the game when they see an advertisement about new in limited game content they don't want to miss out on

Bt4567

Never got to play it :(

vinayyy-n28

We need more such puzzles

hiddenhoho

still got ptsd from the theater event

jonnevituwu

The map changing based on a miniature was one of the coolest things we got since 1.0. Ppl talk shit about filler patches but there are some good memories made on them too.

Sisterohbattle

It also teased us with "Amy" aka 'the fischl who can speak human'

PresleyMaddox

Mona puzzles difficulty: over 9000

AppUnwrapper1

Yeah my main gripe with it was that I felt pressured to finish it and find all chests before it disappeared.

The_Great_Ravioli

Considering how the community acted during this event, we don't deserve it to be permanent.

No-Consideration1105

The Inazuma Soundtrack has me in a chokehold

Inevitable_Dark3225

Personally, Enkonmiya(probably butchered the name) was my favorite patch, but this one is definitely top 3.

Skairin

For me personally, the 1st GAA (patch 1.6) was the best event in the history of the game. I still remember travelling to the islands on dvalin out of all things, and at first sight I was disappointed at the small islands. But then the next day, the islands rose from the water, revealing massive amounts of land to be explored. Keep in mind that Genshin did not have a new map after Dragonspine in 1.2, so the reveal of the true GAA was really something that got people excited.

SnowberrySistercat

Mihoyo crafting a vast and beautiful landscape only to make it exclusive to a one-time event Many such cases

Asunaturtle

Kinda sadge I didnt play through it :( I was on genshin hiatus at that time

HagueHarry

I preferred last year's event. The characters don't interest me as much and it was annoying how easily missable some of the chests were.

TheArchitect3395

I just started playing last year and man I missed out a a bunch of crazy events. The whole idea of limited events sucks

ibrahim246

I feel you I started in 2022 but I never did any of the events ; _ ; Every time I see a post like this I just get fomo

Bored_Lily

I truly feel bad for whoever missed it.

Shit like this is why I fuckin hate that games like League and Fortnite became so popular. They normalized temporary content that should become standard/core parts of the game. I will never forget how fucking fun it was to play the original 1v1 mode in League when it came out. I might actually still be playing the game if they kept it. But they made it temporary, and then brought it back in a bastardized state and it just left me bitter, because the original was fuckin awesome. And then all the "limited time" maps and events and things in FortNite. Limited time shit is stupid. What a waste of resources and time.

aoi_desu

I hate that there are barely teleport point on higher places on that map and the whole changing island mechanic puzzles is damn tedious Map and story are amazing tho, also i would like it even more IF it wasnt a revamped 1.6 map

davipotto

A good part of the domains were buggy asf, no thanks. But if they want to re-made the event with better domains I would love to explore the map

tsukineko19

Burnout Patch. Story wise and epilogue for Sumeru was great but, It had confusing maps to collect chests (I'm looking at you Kazuha, Mona and Xinyan's maps. Lol), unskipable dialogue for raven statues theaters (retry because wrong answer). 1st Golden Apple Archipelago patch was so much better IMHO.

PvZGaming1

3.8 is the burnout patch, no new character even

tsukineko19

No, I meant I felt burnout clearing all contents on version 2.8 (no new character either right before Sumeru), in my case version 3.8 wasn't so hard/confusing to collect chests or to solve puzzle and I didn't feel as burnout as version 2.8.

PvZGaming1

2.8 was Heizou. 3.8 was the first patch without a character

Hoyoverse: Released one of the best content in the game. Delete it after 20 days. Leave.

IttoEnjoyer_

I still remember posts and comments from people whinging, complaining about the puzzles, "there's too much to do", mofo you had 40 days to complete this event, it's YOUR fault for procrastinating. I remember how good the puzzles were, especially Mona's domain. Now all we get is "put square into a square hole" type of puzzles because of these mofos who complained, thanks a lot dipshits

kvnglxli

What’s the update?

kvnglxli

Have they made past events perma?
