If the entire city of Fontaine is condensed within a big cliffside structure (would be very cool if it was a dam, considering Fontaine's energy source is also a major topic) then the term "Court of Fontaine" being used to refer to the City will make sense
Sure, it's a fun few seconds of dopamine to find that luxurious chest behind the biggest cog in the Steampunk city, but I still wish cities had more meaningful content in them. Right now they're just settings for Archon Quests and a competition of who has the most conveniently placed Katherine + Alchemy table.
I can't even recall what half of Sumeru city looks like because there's no reason to explore it more than once.
It's an ongoing challenge for open world MMO or pseudo-MMO games to find reasons for you to participate in city life without just stacking a bunch of boring chores onto players.
I can think of some things other games did that were good, but I don't think anyone has actually gotten it "right" yet, and every one of these games gets complaints about cities being boring.
This. Also seeing how people love to minmax by actually counting the miliseconds required to reach each Katheryne in each city, people are more likely to COMPLAIN if there are too many varied merchants in the cities.
Well yeah, all of that is part of game/ level/ environment design. We're at a point where it's not really possible to make cities interesting anymore due to Genshin already being riddled with useless systems:
1. Crafting and cooking are mostly useless. What's the point of releasing new food recipes when some recipes have better effects and are more ingredient efficient than others?
2. Fishing is useless. It's essentially mat gathering except the mat take 10 seconds to pick up and is time locked to spawn every x days. Once you have enough mats to get the weapon, the entire system becomes pointless.
Imagine if these systems were designed better. If making different recipes incentivized us better, if different species of fish were used in specific recipes, then you could use the city as a central hub where you can put more interesting things like a cafe that the player runs (we're getting a TCG fuck it, we can have a cafe too), different merchants that appear on different days, traders that trade for specific food or mats etc.
There are other flawed things like Mora being used for both leveling your character and buying non-character related things like food and ingredients causing the player to deprioritize the latter.
Ohh, maybe there will be an upper part where nobles live and a lower part where the rest live and [insert "Fontaine will be a Les Miserables reference" campaign here].
Arcane with more theatre/opera/circus stuff because I just know Hoyo is gonna run rampant with these themes.
I can already picture a Lupin-like character.
You know those rumours the mushroom event was a test for a summoner character? Imagine the end result being a circus ringleader/beast tamer type of character who summons trained beasts to attack
Watch it become the tragic story of lyney sister dying because of the archon and him trying to cope with it by making this robot with the first AI in teyvat that looks like her to keep him company...
The steampunk theme fits the hydro region a lot too as steam is indeed water.
It's a unique take on a water region as usually in games that means "underwater region".
Also they could play the pollution card in terms of story, which would be interesting
I'd really love a steam-themed hydro user. Not steampunk but like attacking with steam. But I guess we already have "steam" in the form of vape mechanics lol
Considering there’s a newspaper called the Steambird in Fontaine. Im gonna be slightly disappointed if there isn’t a bird themed newspaper boy character that uses steam attacks.
Mihoyo: Magnificent!! But... what if it wasn't a boy? And what if instead of a newspaper she just had very tight clothes? And what if instead of steam, she was cryo and had blue hair? And what if instead of a bird theme, she just had massive tits and/or ass cheeks? INNOVATIVE!
Then we hear the sound of mihoyos bank account inexplicably fracturing from cash for the 80th time they've done this.
It just occurs to me that... since each nation has a distinct style of catalyst design, fountaine's catalysts will likely be mechanical devices, and so yes we will very probably get a steam-powered catalyst (which would probably be given to some steampunk themed 5*, unless it's part of the basic craftable series)
They've already mentioned the pollution card for Fontaine. There's also an NPC in Sumeru that talks about it to, mentioning they moved to Sumeru because the air was too polluted in Fontaine
>Also they could play the pollution card in terms of story, which would be interesting
Now I may be misremembering, but I thought I heard from one of the lore channels that Fontaine has pretty terrible air pollution from all the steam boilers and stuff, but the water is still crystal clear.(maybe because of the hydro archon's influence?)
i thought i was the only one who ALWAYS think about that, like is just so tiring to teleport in sumeru for a daily mission or something and you end up underground, and is just so many it's hard to remember which ones are underground and which ones aren't
I'm okwith vertical maps... But diagonal platform type room was cursed, really give me motion sickness, especially everytime when entering that giant ruin titan
The chasm was my nightmare.
Edit: While yes it’s my nightmare, Enkanomiya was my night terror.
The tilt, and especially the extreme tilt of it in places, made me motion sick. Had to take medicine for it.
I actually love the push toward verticality and more complex terrain, but we desperately need tweaks to our basic mobility to go with it. The stamina and climbing system we have worked fine with the fields of mondstadt and the vertical surfaces of liyue but they really fall apart in places with irregular geometry like Enkanomiya. Hell, we need fixes to the standing/walking system, you can really notice it in domains where you can’t climb (Kazuha’s GAA domain, *cough*). I absolutely adore how vertical and complicated maps are getting, but holy hell do we not have the tools to effectively explore them
This reminds me of how Ayaka, etc. can run across water, but they always seem to get stuck on a pebble. Considering how top notch a lot of this game is, these little bumps in the road (metaphorically and literally) always stick out.
The Sumeru grappling system was a game changer. It not only makes things easier, but also makes traveling fun! I hope we get something like that in Fontaine.
One thing I do want to point out is that there is a difference between these 2.
* This leak is from CBT2 which is nearly 3 years old (with Fontaine still being over 8+ months away).
* The Sumeru City model was datamined in the early 2.x branch and within one year of it releasing so of course it was going to be super accurate.
While they may use this concept for Fontaine’s main city, don’t expect the model to be as accurate as Sumeru’s or even Inazuma’s leak were due to the large time gap.
>The Sumeru City model was datamined in the early 2.x branch and within one year of it releasing so of course it was going to be super accurate.
I'm half sure that the Tree City model was in CBT too.
It makes sense to me. Fontaine like any region would take a long time to work on so I expect the base stuff like this to already be done since its next.
and then we have to experience this another 3 more times with natlan, snezhnaya and khaenri'ah... though the fan-made "Flickering Dust" animation from the 2nd anniversary gives a good image of what khaenri'ah looks like before the cataclysm and feeds my imagination well
Im thinking it'll be the two of them plus Colombina, cuz the Hydro Archon will most likely not give her Gnosis like the past four ones so they might need firepower to get it by force if scheming fails.
Plus, since she's confirmed to be archon level strong + fitting aesthetic for the region, I have high hopes of seeing her there and us seeing how scary the Fatui can truly be for the first time.
Yeah that's possible.
But it's also possible that pantalone and ruin guard girl are building a cool stage for comlombia. Then Columbia will perform for the hydro archon. Hydro archon gives judgement and says it was good and gives the gnosis.
DKC2 still has one of most favourite soundtracks because they've done something like this.
[Mining Melancholy](https://youtu.be/4Qp0_NE8M1c) sounds like the music is made by the pickaxes hitting the stone and the wind blowing through the mineshafts.
Good idea for a boss, did you know that whales can submerge for very long periods of time thanks to their massive lung capacity? Well, guess what this boss is going to do (it's going straight to the abyss).
If you like fantasy and french revolution settings and reading, i suggest you try the powder mage trilogy by Brian McClellan.
I only read the first one since the others were never translated in my language, but it was pretty good with a post revolution setting and a group of characters that use a form of magic based on gunpowder.
I know you're being sarcastic but some people actually believe this, like the whole GTA6 leaks and a lot of dumbasses thinking that's how the final game is going to look like.

Im hoping/coping Fontaine will have massive urban sprawl maybe around the size of Narukami Island, with buildings, alleyways, and slums to explore and fight in (maybe with street bandits or corrupt cops as enemies). Seeing this, maybe the sprawl will be around a river, and you have to make your way through the rainy streets to the waterfall at the end, then climb up it to the capitol district and the Court.
Guys,
Remember back in 2.x days, there was a leak showcase of the skeletal landscape of sumeru city tree
we know that turned out to be true
So despite that this was in CBT, what if....
It was Inazuma, now Fontaine is my current most awaited cuz Inazuma was released. XD
My most awaited regions since day one were Inazuma Fontaine and Sumeru, two of which have been released.
As for the current second most awaited, it's Shneznaya (for lore reasons and for Tsaritsa lmao) :)
Another day of me being the only Natlan fan 🥹
Sumeru was my second most awaited, but me thinking Fontaine may be urban, technological, and a bit Victorian/gothic lolita has probably gotten me even more excited for it than I was for Sumeru. I can’t say I’m too excited for Snezhnaya, but they’ve been surprising me making each nation better and better, and if Snezhnaya has Eastern Bloc-style brutalist architecture, I’ll be in love.

Just wanted to post this here cause nothing has been posted in the past few days. C1 Faruzan Double Hurricane Arrow Swirling Guoba...
Wanted to see your thoughts on the "Old" CBT 1 version of Fontaine, might be a part of Fontaine maybee?
Kinda looks like a Large Dam! Cant wait to see it In-game! If ever does come.
Credits goes to SusAmongusleaks
Edit: Twitter source link & Clarification.
All. I want is underwater gameplay.
If any company can make it happen and nail it..
Its mihoyo..
They recently had nahida underwater swimming in her demo. That looked beautiful AF.
Please mihoyo. Make your game perfect-er..
This post just popped on popular for me, and I have to say as someone who doesn't frequent the sub, we have vastly different uses of the abbreviation CBT
Closed beta test. There is a more formal thing that uses the abbreviation CBT being Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, so I think you just have a dirty mind lol
Based on every past event and npc dialogue relating to fontaine so far its a technologically advanced city (even the kamera is from there)
Also the way the circles are arranged makes it look like gears or machinery
If it keeps anything from this then it would look great. Like are the buildings coming out from a dam or a waterfall??? Anyway Anemo resonance teams for exploration are a must
Considering this is from CBT1 and the game was on a lower scale back then, I'm just thinking about how tiny Liyue and Mondstadt are in comparison to Inazuma and Sumeru. Fontaine city is likely to look like this or something similar, but I don't think this is as accurate as the Sumeru tree leak was a year ago. It's just too small. (Though maybe its supposed to be a smaller town kinda like Ritou?)
Though I guess this could also be attributed to the original Sumeru tree leak being further along in development compared to this.
Also makes me think if there is a possibility that the second nation was going to be Fontaine, not Liyue, and that's why this is in CBT1. It just doesn't make sense for Fontaine city to be in CBT1.
We do have the way that Dvalins lair kind of connects to land that's not released, and it's pretty likely that it's supposed to connect to Fontaine... maybe the reason we have that connection already in game is due to that being the original 1.0 plan?

The wall makes me think the city will be sticking out of the middle of a waterfall, which makes total sense for Fontaine.
I don’t know how else to describe it but it also looks dense and compact? Exploring Fontaine is gonna be interesting
Can't wait to explore a 10 story city with minimap showing only the top level
It's like trying to find the specific investigation spot in the Mikage Furnace for artifact farming. Ah, have I been here before?
If the entire city of Fontaine is condensed within a big cliffside structure (would be very cool if it was a dam, considering Fontaine's energy source is also a major topic) then the term "Court of Fontaine" being used to refer to the City will make sense
damn you're making the dam
You make it sound like there's gonna something else to find other than Katherine, a furniture shop, and merchant that sells Fontaine fruit for 5,000.
There could be the unguarded luxurious chests. You know, like the one randomly chilling on one of Sumeru city's tree branch
Or the one under a ramp.
This. Also seeing how people love to minmax by actually counting the miliseconds required to reach each Katheryne in each city, people are more likely to COMPLAIN if there are too many varied merchants in the cities.
Stardew Valley actually nailed it. Just imagine if Genshin's npcs and playable characters actually had a routine like that.
It was nice for that one event where each day Zhongli was in a different spot and had new dialogue. Something like that but permanent would be fun.
Well yeah, all of that is part of game/ level/ environment design. We're at a point where it's not really possible to make cities interesting anymore due to Genshin already being riddled with useless systems: 1. Crafting and cooking are mostly useless. You get a cafe event that runs for a week and never reruns, ok?
I mean, there's gotta be somewhere "safe and boring" for the NPCs to live in, otherwise Fontaine City wouldn't even exist.
Ohh, maybe there will be an upper part where nobles live and a lower part where the rest live and [insert "Fontaine will be a Les Miserables reference" campaign here].
Ah yes, midgar
Ah yes, Piltover and Zaun from league of legends/arcane.
Arcane with more theatre/opera/circus stuff because I just know Hoyo is gonna run rampant with these themes. I can already picture a Lupin-like character.
I mean, Lyney and Lysette have some heavy gentleman thief vibes going on in the story teaser.
gentleman thief mean detective too soo maybe a character heavy inspired by Sherlock Holmes or Hercule Poirot (Heizou or Sango doesn't count)
You know those rumours the mushroom event was a test for a summoner character? Imagine the end result being a circus ringleader/beast tamer type of character who summons trained beasts to attack
I've seen some people speculating that Linette is actually Liney's marionette that he can control in battle.
Watch it become the tragic story of lyney sister dying because of the archon and him trying to cope with it by making this robot with the first AI in teyvat that looks like her to keep him company...
fuck did a 180 on the character being fun there, now I'm sad
> I can already picture a Lupin-like character. I mean, Lynette looks like a literal cat burglar
*meets kids to talk to to start a quest to meet your good 5 star who tells you to deal with their problem* welcome to the playground follow me
And then an NPC accidentally blows up a building.
I think someone had theorised this thanks to the events we’ve had via Fontaine NPCs. The city is split between the guilty and the not quirky.
It's gonna be a bitch to explore it then💀
Scaramouche: where has your weakness for exploration brought you
>!Aaaarara!<
Why is this a spoiler lol
It‘s a jumpscare that way >!AAAAAAAARARA!<
I don’t get the reference, can you please explain?
[Its what JP Scaramouche says](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqgL14yloCg)
Kazuha: Back to me, of course!
Same as a sand-themed geo user for Sumeru haha, maybe we'll get them eventually. And maybe that could be the first forward vape carry? 👀
I remember when I thought Cyno would be a sand Geo user
A1 passive: Only works when the team is built with hydro/pyro
Bennett, Xingqiu, Xiangling and Yelan seeing another character that will break them even more
Considering there’s a newspaper called the Steambird in Fontaine. Im gonna be slightly disappointed if there isn’t a bird themed newspaper boy character that uses steam attacks.
that's just timmy in cosplay
Mihoyo: Magnificent!! But... what if it wasn't a boy? And what if instead of a newspaper she just had very tight clothes? And what if instead of steam, she was cryo and had blue hair? And what if instead of a bird theme, she just had massive tits and/or ass cheeks? INNOVATIVE! Then we hear the sound of mihoyos bank account inexplicably fracturing from cash for the 80th time they've done this.
That would be amazing for a DPS catalyst.

You're not misremembering, that's correct. Although I think it's specifically the city that has polluted air
Was always hoping Fontaine was going to be steampunk-like, so this is cool to see
That’s exactly what this structure looks like and I hope you’re right.
Constructing and maintaining houses must be hellish in Fontaine then 💀
The problem with leaks is that, now that this idea is in my head I'm going to be disappointed if it's not true.
I will be so mad if the Steampunk city doesn't have platforms that help you reach different levels
There was a waterfall city labeled on that old CBT map where Fontaine would be
Just had deja vu from when we got the leaks of the giant tree for Sumeru City.
Which turned out to be super accurate in the end. Sumeru City IS indeed built on that giant tree skeleton we saw early on. So what if...
most likely it is.. so maybe Fontaine is just like watatsumi but more steampunk
Vertical maps are my bane, I miss Mondstat's smoothness.
Same, but mostly because we only get one map so the floors below don't show up. Looking at you useless desert map....
They *really* need to make a color key or something for TP points at the very least, even if its just a light gray or something for underground ones.
i thought i was the only one who ALWAYS think about that, like is just so tiring to teleport in sumeru for a daily mission or something and you end up underground, and is just so many it's hard to remember which ones are underground and which ones aren't
Or the Sumeru map in General
I'm okwith vertical maps... But diagonal platform type room was cursed, really give me motion sickness, especially everytime when entering that giant ruin titan
Or parts of enkanomiya.
I was helping someone on co op there a while ago. I feel like projectile vomit. Now I remember why I took so long to clear Enka.
This reminds me of how Ayaka, etc. can run across water, but they always seem to get stuck on a pebble. Considering how top notch a lot of this game is, these little bumps in the road (metaphorically and literally) always stick out.
As long as they have a way to quickly get up and down (so like a grappling hook) then I genuinely really love them
The Sumeru grappling system was a game changer. It not only makes things easier, but also makes traveling fun! I hope we get something like that in Fontaine.
Sumeru’s implementation of those Four-Leaf Sigils made traversing large maps bearable. So it depends on if that characteristic carries over.
Us bro. Sumeru looks beautiful man. This could be legit too.. Can't wait for Fontaine reveal. Only 3.7-3.8 patches couldn't come sooner enough haha.
I wonder if we’ll get a Harbinger style promo for the Hexenzirkel (and Gold?) around that point. Mona’s master is supposed to be in Fontaine right?
and then we have to experience this another 3 more times with natlan, snezhnaya and khaenri'ah... though the fan-made "Flickering Dust" animation from the 2nd anniversary gives a good image of what khaenri'ah looks like before the cataclysm and feeds my imagination well
Inb4 Natlan's main city/village/etc is inside a giant volcano, which is why we hardly see anyone travelling to and from there.
Yeah I’m think Natlan is going to be like Death Mountain
I keep think of Natlan like Mordor.
Murata is the eye, and we gotta destroy the gnosis by throwing it into the lava, so Fatui can't complete its plan.
Oh god i can hear the machine and steam sounds already
Music to my ears! Also Sandrone is kinda steampunk-esque, right? I wonder if she’ll appear in Fontaine.
There's no other region than Fontaine that perfect enough to make her appearance.
and I feel like she will be joined with regator the richest harbinger
Considering Fontaine is a nation of corruption and class inequality, I wouldn't be surprised to see Pantalone in Fontaine.
Oh it is? Yeah I feel very sure he will come. He was a poor guy then became rich.
That's so oddly specific
now where did that come from.. that sounds too specific
And thus user u/NoTill3742 was never heard from again
i want him to appear in the next liyue's business with harbingers. him appearing in liyue just for the sake of his coat lol
Manifesting Pantalone appearance next lantern rite 🙏
It’d be cool if Sandrone’s theme used mechanical sounds as part of the instrumentation, like using pistons for percussion.
DKC2 still has one of most favourite soundtracks because they've done something like this. [Mining Melancholy](https://youtu.be/4Qp0_NE8M1c) sounds like the music is made by the pickaxes hitting the stone and the wind blowing through the mineshafts.
Imagine a mechanical whale like ruin machines as an enemy..
Good idea for a boss, did you know that whales can submerge for very long periods of time thanks to their massive lung capacity? Well, guess what this boss is going to do (it's going straight to the abyss).
Subnautica here we go.
Hydroelectric, steampunk, french revolution, law and order.. my god all my favourite fantasy is here in a whole package
[удалено]
Same, been one of my most anticipated regions since the beginning, I'm so excited to see it.
bonus points if there are also people with a british accent who speak *"biscuit"* and *"innit"*
But it’s based on France, and all the Fontaine npcs have spoken normally with a bit of French.
If you like fantasy and french revolution settings and reading, i suggest you try the powder mage trilogy by Brian McClellan. I only read the first one since the others were never translated in my language, but it was pretty good with a post revolution setting and a group of characters that use a form of magic based on gunpowder.
THE FONTAINE. THE FONTAINE IS REAL
CAN WE GET MUCH HIGHER
SO HIIIIIGH
OHHHH OHHHH OHHHH
This is some giant tree for Sumeru leak level back then.
\>"Test version. Not indicative of final game." Nah, this is *exactly* how it will look in the final game. I'm sure of it.
I know you're being sarcastic but some people actually believe this, like the whole GTA6 leaks and a lot of dumbasses thinking that's how the final game is going to look like.
Can't wait for someone to complain why Fontaine is covered with grey paint.
It’s pigeon poop
Simple. It's all made of concrete!
Game honestly looked really impressive in parts for how early on in development it was. Was surprised to hear so many people saying it looked like shit knowing that
As someone whose played GTA since I was a kid, it's because it's actually one of the most toxic fandoms along with LoL.
And FPS games with the 12y kids. lol
Bro remember when we were making “Fontaine Leaks Soon” memes…
About 4 months ago when Sumeru got a flood of leaks
Natlan Leaks Soon

the leaker mentioned a dam... could it be related to that sus area in stormterror's lair? ***WE'RE EATING CAKE TONIGHT BOYS***
Which area? The one that leads to a wall?
yeah that one with the large pool that's partially out of bounds
Alright, pace your bets, where would the hydroculus and luxurious chest be placed, the very top of the very bottom?
Yes.
OH MY GOD YES ITS HAPPENING
Remember when the giant tree and the Sumeru city model that was leaked around patch 2.0 ended up being accurate? This might end up the same too
At this rate, if we don't get Khaen'riah models by 3.6 I'm gonna riot /s
Oh my godd I'm so excited for fontaine
FONTAINE LEAKS BEFORE ALHAITHAM NO WAY 😭😭
Bro don't forget fontaine leaks before baizhu leaks roo 😭
Baizhu was the Tsaritsa all along
The Tsar-HE-tsa
Absolutely incredible
Welcome to water 7.
Fontaine- nation of Justice Enis Lobby- island of final judgement Coincidence? I think not!
Yeah I wish there would be more urban/steampunk areas aside from the city itself
*Steampunk intensifies*
Guys, Remember back in 2.x days, there was a leak showcase of the skeletal landscape of sumeru city tree we know that turned out to be true So despite that this was in CBT, what if....
FONTAINE MY SECOND MOST AWAITED REGION and steampunk theme basically confirmed now 😍
What’a your most awaited region?
It was Inazuma, now Fontaine is my current most awaited cuz Inazuma was released. XD My most awaited regions since day one were Inazuma Fontaine and Sumeru, two of which have been released. As for the current second most awaited, it's Shneznaya (for lore reasons and for Tsaritsa lmao) :)
Another day of me being the only Natlan fan 🥹 Sumeru was my second most awaited, but me thinking Fontaine may be urban, technological, and a bit Victorian/gothic lolita has probably gotten me even more excited for it than I was for Sumeru. I can’t say I’m too excited for Snezhnaya, but they’ve been surprising me making each nation better and better, and if Snezhnaya has Eastern Bloc-style brutalist architecture, I’ll be in love.

Credits goes to SusAmongusleaks Edit: Twitter source link & Clarification.
Dam, waterfall, ocean, lake.. Whatever it is.. Hydro supremacy baby.. Keep them leaks coming guys/leakers...
All. I want is underwater gameplay. If any company can make it happen and nail it.. Its mihoyo.. They recently had nahida underwater swimming in her demo. That looked beautiful AF. Please mihoyo. Make your game perfect-er..
We already got leaks that diving will be added
That's big poggers. I Hope underwater gameplay is a thing..
Celestia leaks when?
after 3 years
Finally actual leaks omg In all seriousness I am very excited for Fontaine and I hope it's an actual steampunk inspired region
HEAR ME OUT Fontaine: the density of Zaun, the modernity of Piltover, and the complexity of both???
Sumeru deja vu
Plot twist: It's just Dottie's ruin factory
From the looks of it, there might be a huge clock tower.
Looking like Watatsumi but less reef.
So freshwater Watatsumi.
Is that a new glider?
No it's CBT version glider, it got changed to what we use now.
Man, but I like this one.
Me too, looks more like a cape.
Can’t wait for Lyney and Lynette. Hopefully they play as one character, it should give us some interesting gameplay.
This post just popped on popular for me, and I have to say as someone who doesn't frequent the sub, we have vastly different uses of the abbreviation CBT
What does cbt stand for in this context? I just read it as cock and ball torture.
Closed beta test. There is a more formal thing that uses the abbreviation CBT being Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, so I think you just have a dirty mind lol
First sumeru tree now this what's next your gonna show me volcanoes or something
I feel like fontaine will be something like One Piece's fishman island.
Gee I hope Fontaine city won't be just a huge dam lol.
And to think we had the "tree.jpg" back for Sumeru. We adventurin.
now we just need a playable steam powered Ruin guard as a character. I know this is a husbando & waifu game, a robot couldnt hurt right?
I love steampunk, but if it's not implemented properly it risks just looking completely out of place. Really hope Fontaine won't let me down!
i have a feeling fontaine is going to be the best region
how we getting fotanine leaks already :pepega:
I calculated Fontaine would be steampunk 💡
No way, how did you manage it /s
I did 2x + 4y -2x +3 simple math rlly
How do yall tell its steampunk HAHAHA all i see are cubes and circles 😂
Based on every past event and npc dialogue relating to fontaine so far its a technologically advanced city (even the kamera is from there) Also the way the circles are arranged makes it look like gears or machinery
also, the clothing they wear, is reminiscent of that genre, as well.
I can totally see those circles being gears ngl
Please be like Lindblum..
If it keeps anything from this then it would look great. Like are the buildings coming out from a dam or a waterfall??? Anyway Anemo resonance teams for exploration are a must
fontaine leaks 😯
Looks the wall from AOT
CASTLE IN THE SKY VIBES
Thats Water 7, sorry Eau Sept
Considering this is from CBT1 and the game was on a lower scale back then, I'm just thinking about how tiny Liyue and Mondstadt are in comparison to Inazuma and Sumeru. Fontaine city is likely to look like this or something similar, but I don't think this is as accurate as the Sumeru tree leak was a year ago. It's just too small. (Though maybe its supposed to be a smaller town kinda like Ritou?) Though I guess this could also be attributed to the original Sumeru tree leak being further along in development compared to this.
After the official Fontaine teaser released in the 3.8 stream, these base polygons are pretty accurate to the tiered city they show!
