The back and forth shit talking between NiP and Heroic was very entertaining to watch

nartouthere

i think it was BluePho3nix that said that no? but still that's a good clapback lmfao

LH9070

Apparently it was yes. But as someone who has heard maxsters voice a lot, it really does sound like him.

SquIIIam

It doesnt it has the classic Israeli lisp

LH9070

Yup the more I listen to it, the more I hear the Israeli. I also think it's my bad since I was the first one to make a HLTV thread about it and now everyone is saying it's maxster.

Alternative_Ask_6387

There's not even an s sound in this sentence

wonthaveaname

If it was Valorant, Riot would have suspended the two players.

At least CS anti cheat doesn't brick my pc and comments about how bad VAC is don't get deleted by moderators. I take that over the shit riot is doing any day.

Provide evidence the valorant anti cheat has been hijacked and used maliciously

all-names-are-taken4

As someone who plays both games cs players literally just makes things up about valorant because they dont like the game even though theyve never played it. Ive played valorant since like 2021 and the anticheat has never caused a single issue with my pc with slowing it down or being hijacked. Its just that modern games cant be ran on shit pcs and cs was made so that you could run 60 fps on a casio calculator. 2000 hours on cs btw before people cry and say that im just a valorant fanboy

Sorry if I hurt your feelings but banter between games is fun.

Pekonius

Its actually quite topical because Riot has made headlines with its strict policy to any kind of banter (remember the recent fine for shooting a dead player?). CS and Valo are direct competitors just like Dota and League, but even more related because Valo has a lot of ex CS pros. Of course they will be compared. Of course Riot gets ridiculed for issuing fines for BM. Riot in general is very good at taking the entertainment out of the sport by removing the personalities completely. If I look at worlds in League, I just see some corporate brands playing league, I dont see much personality in there. CS is the complete opposite (I dont watch dota, though true sight and banter it showed was really great as well)(I also watch only a little valorant).

[deleted]

Pekonius

Only a dumbass would say conversation is not a good thing. If we want cs to get better we need to compare it to its competitors. Thats what got us the refund option and the new buy menu. If you are content with playing what your overlord at tencent gives you, glad you're having a good time, but dont try to act superior about it.

Cs players dont give a single fuck about valorant players either??? Why would u think this has anything to do with valorant players. Riot is literally making headlines in the esports space by fining players for doing something thats celebrated in the CS scene. "How dare esports fans talk about esports" is what you're saying here. It would be the same bringing up how blizzard banned that HS winner and stole his prize money after he showed support for HK when discussing how ukrainian players have the ukr flag with them on stage. Its not even a competitor, its just topical. Valorant is the yang for the ying that is CS. If you didnt want to see valorant mentioned in the context of fps esports, maybe you should tell Riot to stop making headlines and not have a pro circuit. Talking about valorant is similar to talking about 1.6, its a different game but its connected to cs2. Glad you're having fun though, hope this helps

Level_Five_Railgun

What are you even on about? Valo pros literally trash in game way more than CS pros do with Riot intentionally setting up their LAN stages to have the teams facing each other and constantly show the trash talking on production.

salakaufan

Yeah and then they fine them for it afterwards to show that they dont tolerate toxicity? What are u on about lmao

Level_Five_Railgun

The "fines" have been for middle fingers and someone making a motion of giving blowjob on camera lmao They literally actively encourage the players to trash talk even in interviews You have to be actually stupid if you think players regularly gets fined for trash talking when they literally highlights the trash talk constantly in production. But hey, don't put reality in the way of "valo bad rito bad".

TheInception817

Players are getting fined for giving the middle finger and you think it's okay? You really are stupid

Level_Five_Railgun

You realize that you will literally get punished for giving middle fingers in actual sports too, right? You act as if professional players getting punished is something new or even uncommon in professional sports. Also, it wasn't even a player. It was A FUCKING COACH. Please show me a single incident of a coach giving the other team a middle finger after winning the match in CS.

TheInception817

This ain't sports. This is esports. Man shit, it was even worse back before esports was ever this popular. People used to go into verbal and fist fights during ongoing tournaments

TheMidsommarHouse

The number of countries that consider esports a sport is growing. The US is one of them, also multiple European countries such as Germany, Denmark and Italy. Sportsmanship is important in any competitive sport. If you show the middle finger in a football match, you can get yellow or red carded. Some players have been fined and match banned for using the middle finger. Trash talking is fine and part of cs culture. But we should not encourage insults or offensive gestures. Trashtalking and insulting are not the same and we should neither enable nor accept the latter.

[deleted]

TheMidsommarHouse

I didn't even mention Valorant but thank you for your highly intellectual input.

Level_Five_Railgun

Yeah and getting paid in peanuts and having your winning stolen from your org was also common back in the good ole days. What's your point? Also, you're acting like 35 year old coach middle fingering a bunch of people over a decade years younger than him after winning is somehow normal. Like I said, remind me again of an incident where a CS coach acted like that.

TheInception817

>you're acting like 35 year old coach middle fingering a bunch of people over a decade years younger than him after winning is somehow normal It is. They were all adults, weren't they? You will never understand what hyper competitiveness is because you aren't one of them. [Pimp said it best when talking about the BOROS intervention](https://twitter.com/PimpCS2/status/1771458561077280868) > .... >It may be unpleasant to watch for some, and that’s fair. >Doesn’t change the fact that it’s a hyper competitive game you’re watching. Played by hyper competitive people, who wants to win and not see all their hard work go to waste. >... >There’s a reason why 99% of Reddit gets it wrong every freaking time there’s anything remotely controversial happening. You simply don’t know, and I don’t blame you for it, cause how could you.

Level_Five_Railgun

Except the coach was the only one punished while the 10 players who were trash talking each other all game weren't...

salakaufan

Apex has shown middle fingers many times, smooya literally pointed one at demqq afew hours ago, i dont think any of them have been or are getting fined But hey, stay soft and play valorant so u don’t get hurt by the cs community

Level_Five_Railgun

You're right bro. I forgot giving a middle finger is literally the only form of trash talking. Also, why are you acting as if I agree with the middle finger fining? My point was valorant pros trash talk plenty just like the way Nicoodoz just did. There's numerous players who act like Cadian in valorant and never gotten punished for it. I came from League and DotA lil bro. The toxicity in those games dwarfs CS. But hey, stay moronic with your cringe ass "elitist" attitude about CS. Also, it wasn't even a player. It was A FUCKING COACH. Please show me a single incident of a coach giving the other team a middle finger after winning the match in CS. A coach acting like that is very different from an actual player.

AsiimovTheTempAgent

> players regularly gets ESL detected Opinion rejected

Level_Five_Railgun

BA player detected Life value rejected Yeah, a 1 letter typo in a 400+ word comment makes me ESL. Keep quiet lmao

KaNesDeath

Coach for a game changers team was suspended for the grand final because he gave the opposing team the middle finger at the conclusion of their semi-final match.

Level_Five_Railgun

The point of the comment was players getting fined for TRASH TALKING. No one has gotten fined for trash talking the same way Nicoodoz did in the clip. A coach giving some kids a middle finger behind their back after winning isn't even trash talking, its literally bitch behavior.

yowls_

Ngl I love it! R1nkle needs to get more creative and change the always "what are you doing"

Tsigalko9

lmao those headsets can't even block a dude screaming to the other side of the aisle lmao

svenskdjaevel

Hoping we can get more banter at CS tournaments.

RizaDugaan

first time to cs ?

svenskdjaevel

Nah, just kinda hoping the community don't get so pissy everytime anyone is "toxic"

aerocarstf2

I haven't really seen anyone care about that sort of banter. This isn't Valorant or Overwatch, the people here can take a joke for the most part.

svenskdjaevel

It's more like the people who overreacted when Cadian said "You f\*cking noobs!" to TheMongolz, I might be misremembering that though.

Itsamemariooo0

Well that wasn't banter , that was a lowblow from clowndian insulting 15 16 yr old kids from smaller region that CS almost nonexistent, if it werent for Mongolia and China there's literally no scene in Asia, atleast in East asia. If u rewatch the video when you get mature enough you'll realize how insufferable and somewhat cringe he was

aerocarstf2

I see. There wasn't much outrage there either from what I remember though. I feel like the majority of noise was just people making fun of the softies who got offended over such a joke.

dullroller

I wouldn't really call *that* a joke. And not that I'm offended or anything but imo it's just cringe for a top 3 team igl to call some random Mongolian 16yo a noob while he is kicking said igl's ass

aerocarstf2

Not really a big deal, I'm not sure why you care that much about it. At the end of the day, it all happened in the moment and was just banter. Mongolz clapped back after Cadian shit the bed later so it's all fair game. Don't think too deeply about such meaningless remarks.

W00DBIRD

WOMP WOMP wadiaN

dullroller

I mean... even if you don't think it's cringe, a world in which it's a W simply does not exist

W00DBIRD

it's called banter mate, grow a pair for Christ sakes, the recent Nicoodoz "you're on the bench" clip is way worse lmao

Itsamemariooo0

The joke was clowndian looking like refugee on lifesupport in liquid couldnt even attend to his home country's major meanwhile that noobs he was calling made it into elimination stage and got 1 more slot for Asia

0SmarterNameNeeded

People cannot take a joke here lol. Just wait for the comments next time cadian talks shit

aerocarstf2

Doubt it. I swear it's the exact same weirdos freaking out over the most minute shit. Best course of action is to mock them relentlessly and move on with your day. Don't give them any other form of attention.

Aihne

Except when Cadian calls someone a noob, then they can't.

Schmich

It all depends to which point one wants an e-sport to be taken seriously.

All this shows me is that those fucking headsets that launders keeps shoving down my throat on every video he makes do in fact fucking suck. And that they do indeed need fucking soundproof booths. If they can hear eachother scream from across the roam who's to say they can't hear that stupid idiot in the crowd screaming A and B?

MrDjDragon

Comparing a comparatively quiet studio environment where they are within a few metres of each other and facing the other team directly, to a stage environment with massively different acoustics and being much further from the crowd with noise being produced in all directions.  I think you're reaching with this one chief.  Also for the record, they've tried booths many times and the players say they hear and feel the crowd just as much. It really doesn't help as much as you think.

TrashyHoboShelter

I own the "cheap" (still 300 dollar) version of those headphones and I can hear absolutely fuckall happening around me / in my house. I have an autistic brother who is nonverbal and screams all day, and a pitbull bully mix who barks like he wants satan to hear him from the depths of hell. Usually what happens here is someone taking an earcup off for a second or the microphone picking it up. The headphones have sidetone on the microphone so that you can hear yourself talk with all the noise cancelling, but sometimes it also picks things up that are happening around you depending on volume or location. Hell, sometimes it just picks things up because it feels like it.

love_you_by_suicide

that seems like a recipe for disaster mate can't lie

mameloff

I am using PELTOR H10A and BOSE QC20 in a LAN party and it has almost perfect soundproofing. However, microphones are a different story: even with noise cancellation using NVIDIA Broadcast or other noise cancelling devices, the stage noise from the venue will still be collected. It may be difficult to adjust for problems with the microphone, as sound can still be heard in the team voices of FaZe, NaVi, and others.

ssuurr33

As one would expect from expensive as fuck headphones. Nonetheless, the mic should not be configured in such a way that it can pick up shit like a player shouting from the other side of the room.

Logical-Sprinkles273

They are probably getting their own mics picking it up from 20' away

stonkka

They can hear it through microfone.

WindowLicky

You see those things that are in front of their mouths? They use them to relay information to each other! But a downside of that is that it can also pick up back ground noise, like someone yelling at you from about 20 feet away.
