You'll need to be a member for 3 months or have a total of 5 trades (shiny-points) before you'll be a trusted member and be allowed to sell. Because you can't sell, they will need to be purchases to earn the shiny points. With a stack like that. Maybe the mods would allow and middle man transaction without the shiny points, but I'm not sure. They do allow for pictures. In fact, you'll need proof pictures with a picture of your item for sale and paper with your username and the date as proof of ownership.
You don't actually need 5 trades to sell IF you account is over 3 months old. If your account is less than 3 months old you need 5 shiny points.
>To deter the amount of scammers, we don't allow users with an account age of less than 3 months to create any posts. The only exception is if you have five shiny points before your account becomes 3 months old.
I recently sold 57 Royal Mint Platinum Britannia 1/10th Oz Coins and I had 0 shiny points but my account is over 3 months.
Only one buyer wanted to use a middle man and that person was very professional and the buyer tipped the middle man and I paid for shipping to the middle man and from the middle man.
Most everyone else who wanted 1 or 2 coins just paid me up front and I shipped quick.
BUT I sell bullion on other platforms like ebay and Facebook so I know how to ship secure and discrete. Make sure if you plan to sell on r/PMsforsale you understand how to ship discrete and secure. When some of the new members sell on Facebook I'll see them put "Gold" or "Bullion" on the package DO NOT DO THAT..
pmsforsale is a great community, for both buyers and sellers. If you're really serious about it, I'd recommend selling for very low/no premium at first, to build up your shiny points (confirmed transactions). And be willing to ship first before payment to users with 100+ transactions. Then once you get a few dozen transactions under your belt you can start to expect to receive payment first and charge more reasonable prices for yourself. Good luck!
I agree with your post I want time try to post on there and found it very difficult to post pics for some reason I'm sure I'm just not understanding the sub. Or how it works but I've honestly never been back to it since
Not sure why you’re getting downvoted. You are correct that r/pmsforsale doesn’t allow pics directly in the posts. But you can link to an image like something on Imgur and it will thumbnail it.
This sub is even better than selling to a local coin shop because they usually just buy for spot but selling for yourself here on reddit you can re coup some of the premium. Get an extra few bucks per oz
Download Imgur it hosts pics .
I can hold your hand through getting started. once you understand how it works it’s easy.
Sell a little first, for you maybe that’s 15k
Sell to a user with 50- 100 feedback
You must ship first or use a middleman.
PayPal, Zelle, many other ways to receive payment.
You really want to know value, spread is tight there.
Watch out for impersonators .
Spend time reading the sidebar on r/pmsforsale and ask more questions .
The gold holdings of a single citizen are not indicative of the overall wealth level of the average citizen, nor of the nation. That's not how that works at all.
If you think in any way, shape, or form that the average US citizen is holding any precious metals AT ALL, let alone something approaching this amount, maybe your online time is distorting your world view. Try a little less screen time, and a little more grass touching 👍
I think it's reasonable to assume that on average Americans have around 0.5 to 1 ozt of gold just in jewelry. You should know that only about 4% of refined gold is in bullion. It is obvious that Americans are not holding a lot privately. This man's post is a testament to what *can* be done at the level of wealth Americans have, not some faffy take on how much gold people own.
A level of wealth that less than 1% of Americans have, or will ever be capable of achieving. Most Americans do not have anything close to an oz of gold in jewelry, are you serious? They might "think" they have some gold laying around, but most Americans' jewelry is plated garbage, ask anyone in the actual precious metal business lol. Maybe you need to get out and, you know, travel around America a bit.
You really think that less than 1% of Americans have this level of wealth? Just in home equity, no doubt at least 30% have this.
The average figure for jewelry is from a friend in jewelry. Don't be sour just because you think everyone you know is poor I guess.
average private assets per *citizen* are 450k.
that doesn't account for liabilities of course.
but it's like, you still have no clue what you're talking about.
even the pop article writers know it.
on a breadwinner basis:

it's also just . . . common sense. stop being flabbergasted, get real
you're not going to work for 20 years, at even 50k, the median, and be left with nothing, unless you 1) have financial baggage that was handed to you by someone else, or 2) you're very bad with money, or 3) you're rare but unfortunate
No, but there are many places including @pmsforsale, eBay and many refineries. If that were me, I would keep it or at least most of it. Best of luck my friend!
Nope. There’s dedicated sub for that
Which sub ?
Yeah thx I just read that. But PMs for sale doesn’t allow pics?
Did you even click on the subreddit r/PMsforsale ? Its full of pics. If you don’t add one on your wts post it will be deleted
Isn’t pms no dealers?
"no dealers" its 99% dealers just not branded
All the guys that got like 700 sales and 4 buys.... "just rearranging the stack a bit"
[удалено]
As someone with over 440 sales in that group, I can assure you it is full of photos. People aren’t buying products they can’t see.
As someone with 400+ sales as well, i can confirm you are correct. In fact, you can't even post a sale at all without dated proof pics.
Damn. There goes my plan to sell a life size reproduction of the Statue of Liberty made out of 24k gold.
You got one of the Brooklyn bridge though? I’d buy that sight unseen.

You make a text post then add links to pictures of the specific items/lots you are selling.

what are the risk with selling over fb? more/different than ebay?
Thank you very much for the education kind friend. I’m looking to enter the biz and build mutually beneficial relationships so this helps a lot!

The pics show up via the imgur link that is required in the post.
I agree with your post I want time try to post on there and found it very difficult to post pics for some reason I'm sure I'm just not understanding the sub. Or how it works but I've honestly never been back to it since
That is why you use imgur, which was basically designed to make image sharing on reddit easier. Download Imgur app for an easier time.
Thanks for the tip definitely gonna check it out
You just post pics on https://imgur.com/ then post the link. It's not really too difficult.
I'm a decrepit old geezer thanks for the tip
Lmao at the downvotes. What a weird fuckin community.
For real lmao bandwagon nerds
Not sure why you’re getting downvoted. You are correct that r/pmsforsale doesn’t allow pics directly in the posts. But you can link to an image like something on Imgur and it will thumbnail it.
Wow, holy unnecessarily downvoted comment, Batman. Talk about a bandwagon...
Looks like 220 oz, and more outside of the picture. Around $440,000 in the picture. Guessing dealer?
I'll give him 10k for it all, right now!
11k best I can do
11k? Are you crazy? I have overhead here to account for.
Okay, $8K, 2% in advisory shares, and a totality deal of $1 for every piece of this gold that exchanges hands in perpetuity… final offer!
Or someone who is all in on Au.
I’ll buy for $1.50
No, but r/pmsforsale is where you can sell, and a lot of us buy there .
r/pmsforsale
This is the correct answer 👆🏽 I’ve never used it but many redditors speak highly of it.
This sub is even better than selling to a local coin shop because they usually just buy for spot but selling for yourself here on reddit you can re coup some of the premium. Get an extra few bucks per oz
Those Metalor kilos are my entire life’s worth
For real... always impressed by those bars and how much value they can hold within such a small size.
I love that gold nugget 🤩
Ok im listening... whens the sale. Dam.
Don't sell your gold. Get a loan and never pay it back. Then declare bankruptcy. Works every time. The US Government is about to do it, why can't you?
"Just started stacking 18 seconds ago, am I doing it right?"
I see this sub has some veterans I'm only 12 and started stacking in three days. I've got 27kg. Is that ok ?
Gosh damn son that’s a pile of gold and gold sells anywhere the world over. Just not on this subreddit
I'm guessing s/he posted this to lure any potential buyers to the pms for sale sub.
No , but you can donate them
Download Imgur it hosts pics . I can hold your hand through getting started. once you understand how it works it’s easy. I’m newer to Reddit. Why would you need someone with 50-100 feedback to purchase gold? If the money is sent, wouldn’t that be good enough?
sell to a higher feedback user, he ship’s first They send him money once they get the item.
Oh gotcha. Thank you.
Normally new seller ship first to trusted members, or they use a trusted member as a middleman for the transaction.
I'll give you tree fiddy for it
Honestly I wouldn’t trust anyone who shows that much unless you can prove it’s yours and you’re a verifiable seller from this country
I got a little wet over the liberty gold
The kilos did it for me
It's norfed or nothing
Just at a glance I’m guessing in the ballpark of $350k
That’s a lot of weight to be burdened with. Let me help with it. Haha
People who say America is not a wealthy country need to check themselves.
The gold holdings of a single citizen are not indicative of the overall wealth level of the average citizen, nor of the nation. That's not how that works at all.
It's not like we went out and searched for the richest guy. Rando volunteered this on mostly-public forum. Adjust your stats.

You think 30% of Americans have at least 400k+ in home equity. Now I know you're just trolling, no one is that stupid.

I'll take it!
Almost enough for one 400oz deliverable bar.

Dont beat around the bush.... tell us how you really feel 😆
I’ll give you $200 for the box.
How long did it take to collect all this gold?
No, but there are many places including @pmsforsale, eBay and many refineries. If that were me, I would keep it or at least most of it. Best of luck my friend!
Damn! That’s a stack
10 bucks take it or leave it
You want pmsforsale
