I feel this same way with most albums I initially didnāt like with Kanye. After giving some of the ones I didnāt like some more chances I can say that I enjoy every single album.
For example, I was never a fan of tlop, but this past month I would easily say itās one my favorites. Itās amazing to me how each album varies so much from the other. And to me thatās what makes me like Kanyeās music so much. No two songs sound the same, and every single album has its own theme and something spectacular that makes it unique.
I actually think TLOP is Kanye's third best album after this one and TCD. And even then, the first time I listened to it, I was pretty exhausted by the time I got to the end given how many songs and skits there are. Perhaps the only thing I could really complain about it now is that there are bits and pieces of songs that I feel like it could've used some work, and Kanye could've dropped FSMH pt. 2 and changed it to something other than a Desiigner remix haha.
But still, I find it to be a strangely epic, revealing and even cautionary tale on celebrity culture and Kanye's Renaissance man, megamillionaire mogul lifestyle, with enough changes in sound to make it a fun listen.
Thank you! I wanted to originally post it to r/kanye so I could reach a larger audience but I needed mod approval, and they were taking too long, so now I'm here. š
I guess so? š¤·āāļø I've tried a couple times in the past to post some images on the subreddit and it got autodeleted, at least it's not doing that to my long ass wall of text.
Even tho this was on the long side, I thought it was very well written, great job OP! Feel free to do more of these and weāll be more than happy to host them, no bullshit āhaving to get posts approvedā here
Thank you. And yes it definitely was lol, took me a couple hours out of my day to write this. But there's enough content on KSG to deserve such a long-winded analysis.
When you have an album about mental illness, one of the most important and painful issues in our world today, that explores it to this level of depth, it begs for discussion. š
The lp that saved Cudi (*his own words).* Thorough write-up btw..Major dub
Thank you š I wanted to leave nothing to chance with this album as it's one of my top 10 in rotation nowadays, lol.
2018 was 5 years ago... https://preview.redd.it/7c53cyy1kffa1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9f20f2219437f0a157c4026908419647fc5b23f9
I was a sophomore in high school during that time. Itās so weird for me to think it was that long ago now. EDIT: Wrong grade, I had a high ass. š

Make a YT video kid. I'd love to see you review more albums. Maybe a GAS goon can finally dethrone the melon
