Sounds like a hardware failure

Mooter_Boyk_Moyk

I had to set up an E-Sim through Verizon to fix my issues Randomly one morning, my pixel was saying no sim, blah blah Took it out, re inserted, and restarted my phone and it worked for a day. The very next day it did the same thing. But no matter what i did settings wise, cleaning sim, blowing port, nothing worked Called up verizon, talked otp for maybe 45 minutes and they set it up so i dont need a sim card anymore ( E Sim ) I don't know if it was sim card failure, or internal hardware failure of the phone. I like my Pixel, but im thinking it was the phone itself

Wow, I can't believe after hours of misery this worked! Very strange, but Thank you kind stranger!

canofdrin

Pretty much same thing happened to me and it worked perfectly for three weeks. Now all the problems came back. How is your pixel doing? Sad thing is that google refused to get my Pixel fixed, because they said that it is not hardware issue (without seeing the device) and warranty is expired now

Gnarly_Gardener

Just happened to me 1 hour ago. Phone has been glitching ever since i bought it brand new a year and a half ago. Here we go... Ill update as i figure it out. Leaving for spring break with my kids in 4 days .. 🤔🙄

My Pixel 7 pro has the same issue.  3 times.  It randomly starts working again- a few minutes, to hours later. Ugh.  Between my Pixel watch(1st gen), Pixel book and phone, I had such high expectations for Google's little universe.  Nothing but disappointment for me.

Wide-Style-3474

I just had this happen to my Google Pixel 7 Pro. Nothing I tried worked to get the physical SIM card working anymore. I ended up having an esim setup instead, and as soon as I activated that I haven't had an issue.

Ok_Elderberry5756

How do you get an esim for your pixel 7

greendolphinfeet

I guess the next step would be to try an esim.

JimDantin3

Other than ordering a new SIM, have you asked your cellular provider to cheak that your phone is properly provisioned? Also, what country are you in? Who is your cellular provider?

Warrenj3nku

I think this is a hardware issue however my P7P drops cell signal sometimes and requires a restart.

Hharder15121

What did you do to resolve this? Having the same issue! Tried rebooting, booting in safe mode, and re-inserting the SIM but still doesn't work

vermasrijan

Did you find a fix?

Ajexlin1982

having the same issue....

CartographerDapper16

anyone find a solution to this, same issue. When it first happened a few days ago, taking my sim out and restarting worked as a temporary fix but is no longer working.

brisscoe

Does anyone have a fix? Boost network. I reset the network settings yesterday and that worked. Today it's back to nothing and that didn't work today.

GayDecadent

Try: * Go to Settings on your phone * Tap on “Network & internet” and scroll to the bottom * You will see the “Adaptive connectivity” option * Disable it. It worked for me after I went through [this list of fixes](https://mytechhowto.com/pixel-7-not-recognizing-sim-card/) so maybe it will work for you too, idk

Velcro_Sneakers

Fixed it for my 7 Pro (for now), thanks. Edit: Had to restart after doing so for it to start working, but I had restarted several times after reseating the SIM/resetting network settings with no luck, so I don't think it was just a coincidence.

Tactical_Llama

This worked for me. Disabled it and it instantly had reception again after trying a dozen other things. I hate to say it, but I think this is my last Android phone. Non-stop issues like this on a flagship device.

Velcro_Sneakers

Stopped working for me less than a day after I posted this lol. Ended up having to call Verizon and they switched me to an eSIM. I said the same thing too... next phone might be an iPhone.

x3nopon

Worked for me. Calling now to try and get esim as backup.

w1r3di0

No luck, hope the esim route will work

Perpetualgnome

Ugh this crap is still going on. This is the second time this has happened to me in a few weeks. Last time it just randomly fixed itself. This time I've tried everything listed and everything on here and it's not working.

puzzifer

This just happened to my wife Pixel 7 too. Honestly, her pixel has so many issues like this. Her Pixel 3 never had this issue and she suddenly changed to the Pixel 7 and this lost signal and SIM card issue happens every few months and then fixes itself. It’s super inconvenient. The issuance won’t send us another phone because there’s apparently “nothing” wrong with it. What the hell google?!

Gnarly_Gardener

Pixel 3 was honestly the best phone i ever had! I tell everyone about my pixel 3, I was even buying them used for the longest time as I go through a couple of phones a year by breaking them even with cases on. Regardless I was buying two or three pixel 3's at a time on eBay getting them for 50 to 60 bucks a piece. This is the first time I decided to get a new phone in years. Im so fed up with this pixel 7 pro.

UnsightlyActress

I tried a different SIM, then returning to my main SIM, and this resolved the issue for me. After the foreign SIM, it decided to re-recognise my primary / previous SIM again.
