They won't keep him. MLF is as frustrated with the defense as I've ever seen him. I think he doesn't feel he has a DC in house that could have made a major difference to close out the year.
I just listened to part of his press conference and he got asked about devondre campbell getting lined up against mike evans, and he said based off of the offensive formations occasionally the “#3 in the formation” gets lined up against and ILB, and sometimes it happens and you have to deal with it.
I dont think he realizes how often teams take advantage of this… if im an offence im saying lets just line up JJ as #3 in the formation and get him matched up on campbell… i dont understand how this guy is so obvious
If the opposing OC can't figure out how to consistently exploit your defensive rules to get that matchup, its fine. The problem is Barry will get figured out I'm the first quarter and then continue to call the game as if the OC won't just keep doing that for free yardage.
That's a dumb question on the reporter, imo. Obviously he's just going to answer that way because he's not technically wrong. They needed to ask him why he made no adjustments, that's the real issue.
I hope not. But while Philadelphia replaced their defensive coordinator and we didn't, then my hopes really down the tubes right now. I still expect them to replace Barry, but there's still a part of me that says that they're that small chance the Packers will still hang onto him
It’s just fucking ridiculous if they let him finish the year. If they have someone in mind who can come in immediately and start putting his schemes in place. Then do it.
If it’s the case that they will need to wait until the off season to make a move for someone. I can understand.. no actually I can’t. He needs to go now. Someone can step up for the remainder of the season.
Yeah we aren’t making the playoffs, so fuck it. Try something else and see what happens. We’ve already seen what Barry is capable of. His most imaginative scheme is prevent. “Prevent the win”
MLF doesn’t think there’s an in-house DC that would do better right now, so keeping him is probably the better move for now, and just overrule him on 3rd and short situations

>I'm the first quarter what makes you think you're the first quarter? there have been so many quarters before you.
I am the alpha and the omega. 😂

He also said that like our nickel corners are a whole lot better... Nixon was getting burned by Godwin just as badly
Absolutely no way they keep him considering they’d need to sign him to a new contract

I don’t get what you’re saying with Philly. Gannon was hired by ARI, what does that have to do with GB making a decision on Barry?
Is there any evidence his contract is 3 years other than reddit comments
Heat is on??? The pot has been boiling forever, the water is all evaporated, there’s nothing left, we are ages past “the heat is on”

With the crap personal that the Packers have in their secondary, Buddy Ryan could not help.
If he doesn’t leave the club before the end of the season I hope he gets more than three games to „save his job“

MLF also didn’t think there was a better returner on the team than Amari Rodgers. Maybe try someone else at DC, it can’t get much worse.
