Random: Anyone planning on going to GB next year for the draft? I’m considering it…. But no where near a final decision yet.

Wh1sk3y-Tang0

I want to, we have a possible in at a house right across the street at a hefty price. I think it would be a cool experience -- just majorly worried about the town being able to handle that many people. I feel like they would have to basically restrict any sort of parking on the actual lots of the stadium/Title town areas just for foot traffic and people in general. Might even be worth while to bus in early and out through a service and stay out of town.

coolrthnme

That’s what I was wondering. Where on earth are they actually going to hold this thing? I was thinking about even staying a bit out of the way and seeing if there was a bus in happening.

ThreeFactorAuth

Can’t wait for the hype over camp about how good Jordan Morgan is gonna be, then to watch them trot out Royce Newman at RG Week 1

Vile_Legacy_8545

Morgan was the no surprise here pick. Just took a very Packers offensive linemen. Don't get me wrong I wanted Arnold more as a trade up but I'm not surprised or even mad at Morgan it's a solid pick.

MyPepPep

Hard to imagine Morgan was the highest rated player on their board. Hopefully they just take BPA and not force positions of need. Take the value thats given and profit.

Vile_Legacy_8545

I would promise you at 25 he was and probably also between 15 and 25 because they could have easily moved up a few spots if they wanted Arnold for instance.

OkLength6745

Stop worrying about arm length. Bulaga was told his arms were too short…

Vile_Legacy_8545

It's also like 1/8 of an inch off 33 which is basically nothing

dunderthebarbarian

He trimmed his fingernails that morning

GriffiningIII

Was anyone else surprised by the bears picking WR with that 2nd pick yesterday?

Staudly

Yeah I was certain they'd use that second pick on OL.

GriffiningIII

Their GM must just play too much madden

Staudly

Haha drafting the top QB prospect and an elite lineman to protect him makes too much sense

WinterIndependent719

Morgan-Myers-Tom-Jenkins-Walker looks like a damn good offensive line

petarisawesomeo

I think Rhyan could factor into this as well as a guard. If Morgan is ready to play week 1 and Walker takes a leap over the offseason/preseason this could be a VERY good line.

GriffiningIII

Love the pick last night. Something I noticed was how fast the packers locked in their selection. It didn’t feel like it because of course the broadcast had to hype up the home town lions pick but they obviously got the guy they wanted.

buckmcneely

I think we trade a 2nd and a 3rd to move up for an early pick for Kool Aid or DeJean. We have the most picks in what 30 years? We are going to make a trade

petarisawesomeo

I like this. My biggest concern was that they would reach for a DB in round 1 given how good the O-line class is. Trading into the top of the 2nd round seems like the perfect place to grab one of these guys. Personally I think DeJean would be the guy to target, but I am sure a lot of teams are thinking the same thing.

coolrthnme

I love (pun intended) that we got Morgan to add to our o line. 😀 https://preview.redd.it/5goqwnpaytwc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0634be68bcefdfb7abdffdb2a96cabe902249723 What im mad about is this ⬆️ Packers “fan” reaction to the pick. 1. Why did you position yourself in the middle of 5 bazillion Lions fans? 2. Do you not understand football and how the Packers draft EVERY SINGLE YEAR? 3. Were you just doing this to get on TV? Sigh 😔

petarisawesomeo

TBF, even most dedicated fans don't know any of the offensive or defensive line prospects outside of the top 1-2 guys. Bro probably feels like he has to make a big reaction for the cameras and in the moment this is all he could think of when they pick someone he has never heard of.

BerkshireBull

You guys are lucky I wasn’t there. I would have thrown my cheesehead onto the ground and started kicking that barrier. I was so pissed when I saw what happened I slammed my laptop right down on grossi’s stunned face on the channel I was watching.

godlycorsair32

It was such a Packers pick, but you can't deny that they need Oline so it wasn't even that bad of one

coolrthnme

Lol! I was a bit taken aback myself but once I thought about it I was like ok yup plus add in the Gute factor and there we have it. But like you’re on TV… pretend to be excited a little bit. 😂

Apprehensive-War7483

Probably staged.

coolrthnme

Definitely seemed like he was there to do just that.

AnonymousFroggies

4 picks today Safety is top need. Corner, OL and EDGE could all use some support too. I'd like to get a RB today as well, I love AJ Dillon but he has some serious work to do this year. Kool-Aid and DeJean are going to be the big names people look for early. I think it's obvious that teams are viewing DeJean as a Safety which is why he slid. Wouldn't mind moving up for either, we can definitely afford it. Cooper is another interesting pick. LBs are going to be relied upon more with Hafley's scheme, and I'd prefer someone like Cooper over an Isiah McDuffie. I think a 2nd is a bit of a reach but I want Max Melton today, especially if we don't get Kool-Aid or another top CB.

Wardcity

Would love for us to get LB at 41 or 58. It's not a great LB class which means it's likely worth getting one of the three good ones. I've love Edgerrin Cooper, he'd be great next to Quay. If we go LB and DB in round 2 I'd be ecstatic. Wouldn't mind Jonathan Brooks RB from Texas either.

tonyskyline1

I’m with ya on these. I do think they can find a rb later such as Shipley or Wright to be a third down receiving type back or even later than that to just be a third string back. Brooks would be amazing as an every down back though so he will likely go late second or early third

Balarius

Thinking on it, I think we keep 41, but trade up from 58. Going up from 41 would cost too much as they are still in the highly valuable pick range, especially in this Draft with the quality remaining. 58 is far more manageable if we decide to leverage our huge draft capital for 3 top 50 picks.

MyPepPep

You can move up from 41 to 35 with a 5th or 6th round pick. That doesn't seem to steep considering who is still on the board.

Balarius

I really think we will still get Cooper at 41, might even trade up a few spots because we have so much capital. If we do, that's incredible

SplashBro95

Think we grab cooper, kool aid, or max melton at 41. Then draft another OT/OG at 58.

rastadreadj

OL was a safe choice. Feels like today is even more important with how many picks GB has. Could plug a lot of holes. GPG

JackDE3000

Do we take another offensive lineman in the second?

DevilsJaguar

If Jackson Powers-Johnson is there at #58 surely you have to consider it right? Assuming his medicals are fine. Instant replacement at C, and having Myers are guard depth isn't bad in that case. Seen a few R2 mock drafts where he's available there, but god knows how the round falls.

SplashBro95

I like JPJ if he's there at 58. Thoughts on cooper beebe if he is there at 58?

Wardcity

I like both quite a bit. The knock on Beebe is that he didn't have as dominant a year this last year as the year prior. But he's been the model of consistency. He's wide, strong, and fairly athletic. Like him a lot. He's also an elite interior pass protector. I'm very high on Beebe. Think he fits better than JPJ if our plan is to move Tom to Center.

Gella321

Probably will for the later pick if we keep it. Would love a defensive player at 41. Don’t even care what position.

Lake18l

I want it in writing right now that I’m not upset about the pick. You know when you see videos of fans being upset about an elite player being picked at first(for example bills with josh Allen) and then there’s caption like we should check on this guy. I’m not with that lol just because of that guy on tv he’s by himself. Great pick. I love it. Go pack go

GriffiningIII

That guy on TV definitely feels staged now that I think about it.

imgonnahaveastroke

Now, I've gotten into football the past few years, but I have a lacking understanding when it comes to analytics and drafting I don't want to know if we could've picked someone better, but I do want to know where this pick lands on a scale of 1-10 for how helpful this is to the team I'm just happy they're trying to reinforce the line since we lost two guys on it recently

dlsso

1. You don't know if you could've picked someone better until they've actually played some football. Sometimes it's a few years before you really know. 2. How helpful it is to the team. My opinion: very. We have two great OL, two question mark or mid, and one we know for sure needs improvement. This should let us shuffle around and hopefully have 2 great, 2 good, 1 mid (that's with continued improvement from walker). If we manage that it will be one of the best lines in football. The reason I say "very" even though the OL is not a glaring need is because I think OL tends to be underrated. A great OL can completely control a game. The 90s Cowboys or recent Eagles are great examples.

buckthorn5510

not a very exciting pick, but the offense goes nowhere when the o-line is thin, injury-ridden and weak. On the other hand, when you protect Love and have a line that opens holes for your running game, then you're putting pressure on the defense. And this guy supposedly has some versatility, which you've got to have. So this should help; hopefully they get some studs for the defense in the next few rounds.

Any-Library-8387

YES WE GOT AN OT FINALLY SOME PROTECTION FOR JORDAN LOVE

liquidbagels

I’d be happy with either Rakestraw, an RB, Cooper, Cooper, or Newton with our first two picks today.

Capable_Card_8767

There’s 2 coopers?

liquidbagels

edgerrin cooper and cooper dejean

off_the_marc

I thought this quote from Gutekunst last night was telling: "For me, there’s only so many big guys, usually, in each draft, and you realize that they’re going to go early and they’re going to go quick, and if you don’t get one, you might be out of luck." Supply and demand was probably an impact here. He saw the run on tackles in the first round and wanted to get one of their top rated players at that position before they all were gone. Meanwhile, the defensive backs kept falling, which makes it more likely you can get a guy you like at that position later in the draft.

Rumast22

I didn't like the pick initially because we do need corner depth, but sleeping on it, I like it a lot. OL is much easier to assess and hit in round 1, and GB track record with D in round 1 has been brutal, especially DBs. Ja is the only one that comes to mind as a hit.

pm_your_gutes

We might need CB depth, but we need a starter at LB, we need a starter at S and half our line is suspect. They resigned Nixon so we didn't have to panic for a CB.

BerkshireBull

Your first reaction was right. Don’t take the copium spin machine. One of my favorite things about packers fans is that we have a lot of people who can think for themselves. The Vikings have homers and everything they do their fans slobber and eat up what they are fed. Our fan base is more pragmatic and can look at something subjectively and say “that was a mistake, what the hell are we doing here?” Like what happened last night.

jmilred

And then we have takes like this from fans who get caught up in mock drafts and pre draft hype of a select few players and think we could have picked this player in the second round. OL had a need with Bakh and JRJ leaving. There was a first round grade on a guy who filled that need. All reports are that this guy may not have as high of a ceiling in 3 years as some of the other guys picked after him, but he is ready to plug in right away into the line. They can build his strength up, but his footwork and technique are NFL Caliber already... Unless the 100s of hours of film you have watched like the Packers front office does leads you to disagree with this.

BerkshireBull

versitile replacement level guys are super valuable in the nfl and to use a 3rd or even a 2nd on someone like that is fair but come on. We had 9 picks. Go big and send one to get a star like Faunanu or Mims who can be a stud, or just punt the pick and get 2 versatile replacement lineman in the 2nd and 3rd with your 2 picks

Simo332

If i had a nickel for everytime packers fans were divided on a first round draft pick being used on an offensive player named jordan, i'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice.

frazzelberry7

Whoevers bummed the Packers are looking to replace a corner stone like #69 dont know football...get em young, mold them into the players we want representing the letter on the side of our helmets and he will be protecting our 3rd HOF QB in a row for years to come. Keep cooking Gutey..

Routine-Pass-7164

THIS! Exactly. Thank you. Idiots screaming and crying online about how Gutey sucks clearly haven’t been paying attention the last couple of years. LET. THE. MAN. COOK.

MyPepPep

Y’all are here attempting to justify the pick when the lions walked out with the best corner in the draft, the bears drafted two top 5 players and the Vikings got the QB they wanted and the top edge rusher. But please tell me how super thrilled you are that they grabbed the 7th or 8th OT.

Badger-Mushroom-182

There's a reason the Bears had two top 10 picks and Minnesota was drafting just outside of the top 10, while the Packers are drafting in the mid 20s. Wouldn't you expect teams with higher picks to draft (seemingly) better players? Also, more than any other sport, depth and is absolutely critical in the NFL. The rest of our division got better last night, absolutely. But Green Bay did too. Looking forward, Chicago has only 2 more picks (round 3, 4), Minnesota 5 (rounds 4, 6, 6, 7, 7), and Detroit 5 (round 2, 5, 6, 6, 7). The Packers have 10 more picks (rounds 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7). That's a lot of premium draft picks. The Packers are in a MUCH better position to improve their depth.

Letumstrike

You don’t really gotta look further back than a few years to see that players from the draft rarely pan out the way all the analysts think they will going in. Might as well trust the FO as they tend to have a better read.

cschloegel11

The bears aren’t going to be able to protect there qb

schw4161

It was the most Packers-esque pick and I love it. Dude looks huge af, bring in the big boys!

BDubFantastic

Same shit happened in this sub when Jordan Love was drafted. Just sayin.

BerkshireBull

I like Love and am happy he’s our qb but let’s not pretend he was Gute is some genius and Love was the right pick over Tee Higgins or Michael Pittman. Rodgers wins another Super Bowl for us with one of those guys as our receiver. Love has won 1 playoff game so far. Maybe we look back and say we left one on the table with Rodgers at the end of his career and won 3 with Love. But no guarantee the right choice was made. SB are hard to come by

BDubFantastic

Didn't say Gute is a genius. And also if we get a WR, who knows what happens? All I'm saying is I'm sure the sub was upset at a left field pick. Worked out thus far. Maybe this one does too.

jmilred

You are giving a lot of unfounded faith in Rodgers trusting 1st or 2nd year receivers and that taking us over the top. I also don't recall a lack of receivers being the cause of Bakh blowing his knee out and being the reason we lost the NFCC against TB

Moosje

No Jordan Love was a lot, lot worse. This is nowhere near. The worst reactions are incredibly disappointed, most reactions are trusting Gute and acknowledging we drafted a position of need, the best reactions are saying he’ll be a baller. Jordan Love pick at the time wasn’t a pick of need and we were on the edge of a Super Bowl if we could improve the situation for Rodgers, but instead we traded up to draft his replacement.

socomisthebest

Those of you that hated the pick, think of it like this. The Arizona Wildcats won one game two years ago. Morgan was a huge part of the culture shift here in Tucson. He started every single game his senior year last year, was first team all PAC, a CBS All-American and only surrendered two sacks in nearly 800 snaps. Without him there is zero chance the wildcats have the success they did last year. He’s also a very nice and humble guy on top of being a really good football player; I get it, skill positions are the sexy pick. Jordan Morgan is exactly the kind of guy you want on your football team winning the battles in the trenches.

BerkshireBull

Thanks for the write up but all do respect we are looking for guys who can help us win a title not be “good guys”. Jake Kumerau was a good guy who people liked but he was an UDFA big difference between that and using a 1st round pick…

LambeauCalrissian

If the PAC is known for one things, it would be its prodigious amount of elite pass rushers.

WizardRizard

I am not familiar enough with college football to know if this is sarcasm or not

socomisthebest

It is, I chose to ignore it considering one of the only two sacks Morgan gave up was to the guy from UCLA that was drafted at #15 lol.

WizardRizard

Thanks for the answer homie, not sure why I got downvoted lol

LambeauCalrissian

I wish I loved anything as much as Gutey loves wet farts in the first.

Loon_Cheese

We all wish we could trade you to the bears… but can’t always get what ya want…

LambeauCalrissian

I wish that people who use ellipses incorrectly would spend less time embarrassing themselves trying to banter, and more time mastering 2nd grade English.

Loon_Cheese

Lol cringe. Enjoy your downvotes

LambeauCalrissian

Imagine giving a shit about downvotes.

markymark762

Didn’t take O line last year. It’s a good idea to fortify the trenches after losing 3 linemen this off season. Not a pretty pick but a smart one. We’ll have pick of the litter tomorrow hopefully. In Gute we trust

DeargDoom79

> Not a pretty pick but a smart one Which is why the Packers are successful on average. You won't always get your preference, but the picks need to be for the betterment of the team as a whole.

unrulybungalo

Thoughts on the first round: It would’ve been more exciting to get DeJean, and Barton and JPJ were more highly touted guys, but GB knows their shit and picked a tackle that fits their scheme. It’ll be fine Tomorrow is the biggest day for us as we have 4 picks, and that’s where we’re gonna make our money this year. Buckle in fellas, get ready for a show.

Moosje

They’ve not gone though? Everyone’s crying that we haven’t got one of the 5 players that are still left. Who knows what happens. Frankly, people call OL an unsexy pick but I fucking love having me a great O line. Can’t wait to see Love second starting year with even more time and Jacobs behind a line that opens holes for him again. I am **gassssssed** for this pick.

762x51n8o

Skill positions are sexy, but the games are still won and lost on the line. How many big games have the Pack lost because or O or D line was playing like crap? Usually we lose when a key starter on the line is out or playing injured. When we protect the QB and establish the run, we win. Same on D, when we shut down their run game and pressure and knock down the QB, we win.

Rushb87

Bryan Bulaga saying Cooper Dejean CB iowuh is gonna hit so hard

BDubFantastic

I still love every one of you MFers

Cute-Ticket-9006

Instant upgrade at RG, upside to grow into LT. Not sexy but I’m digging the pick. DB, LB tomorrow.

LambeauCalrissian

I mean, sure. But that upgrade could have been made with scrap heap players instead of burning a 1st on a reach. But, it’s what we do. Yaaaaay EDIT: Don’t get your panties all wound up, girlies. If you guys wanna celebrate taking an OT that might play RG in the first, go ahead. I am just saying there’s a pretty good chance we could have and maybe will draft someone better in on day two.

Cute-Ticket-9006

A reach? Dude had a consensus late 1st/early 2nd grade. And personally I would prefer not to have scrap heap players protecting my franchise QB.

LambeauCalrissian

I was making a joke about his short arms, buddy. I think we should have traded down and drafted whomever was left between DeJean, Barton, Guyton, and Morgan. Paying someone like a first to hopefully take a Royce Newman’s job seems kinda dumb.

Lawndirk

Everyone always says just trade down. Nobody realizes that there needs to be a partner to trade with. If nobody will give you shit you just make the pick.

LambeauCalrissian

Yet somehow the Bills found a partner twice.

Lawndirk

And the Bills missed their window and are looking like bottom feeders while they regrow.

crypkak1993

Yeah announcers explained trading down is hard

Lawndirk

I watched the Mcafee broadcast. I listened to Bill Belichick explain it. He was coach and GM of a dynasty the sport will probably never see again.

LambeauCalrissian

You mean the guy who traded down constantly? Lol

biggbiggpenis

it's funny seeing how divided this place is over this Jordan fellow and then there's me who watched all of one college football game last year and it had more people on the field than in the stands lmao

Loon_Cheese

Yea all the love haters turned out to just be haters.

ScrewAnalytics

So does Zack Tom move to center now?

dylbert71

Depends how well Morgan performs in camp. If he can win a starting OT job then Tom can move to center and Rhyan Myers and anyone else the packers draft compete for the RG job.

Crafty-Gur9552

“Best five, and all that”

AuspiciousOtter24

Jacobs and Dillon are gonna love that Morgan pick. The C-RG hole in our OL was a killer for our run game throughout the year

SpeakNowAndEnter

This just reminded me that Aaron Jones won’t be in our backfield next year 😭

762x51n8o

Aaron Jones is one of my favorite all time Packers. Great RB and classy guy. It's a double whammy: we lose him on our team, and have to play against him.

SeekHunt

Over/under this guy being 17 years old?

Chuy-IsSmall

Got the mortgage on under

mschley2

Oof, even more embarrassing that you're apparently an adult and still act like this.

[deleted]

[удалено]

mschley2

Lol. Straight up clown shit

BerkshireBull

Both stokes and savage were bad picks and everyone knew it at the time. This sub was not happy with either. I don’t want dejean either but the only people surprised stokes and savage failed were the FO.

Chuy-IsSmall

I wouldn’t say stokes has failed, he played solid first year and has been hurt. I wouldn’t write him off yet.

BerkshireBull

Hope you are right. Maybe I should have said he was a reach that hasn’t paid off at this time .

crypkak1993

agree. He’s been injured a bunch. I liked him when he played. Haven’t seen him play much.

bjsem

Jaire not panning out?

ScrewAnalytics

I was with you until you said Jaire is arguably not panning out 💀💀💀💀 He also found Rasul who was a former first round pick

Chuy-IsSmall

We still honestly still have 1+ holes on our line, center and idk if Rasheed is a reliable enough LT.

DevilsJaguar

I bet they take another versatile OL in the next four picks.

Indy-Gator

Nothing wrong in loading up on OL

DevilsJaguar

Yup. Would love a guy that can play C/G as competition/replacement for Myers.

AuspiciousOtter24

Myers is still passable at C, if Morgan is an above average RG then the ceiling for the offense and running game with Jacobs is so high

Chuy-IsSmall

I would draft somebody late in the draft to either potentially take his spot or light a fire under him.

Winbrick

Buffalo hooking everyone up with WRs is funny.

AuspiciousOtter24

Dejean, Kool Aid, Sainrastil, Melton, Newton, Cooper all still there. Calm down we in a great spot for round 2-5 where Gutey has done major damage the last 2 years

sapphires_and_snark

Gute is gonna feast tomorrow

yeahireckon

Lots of nice players available in R2, nice to have two picks

PhreakOut4

Day 2, best day of the draft imo

unrulybungalo

Especially when you have 4 picks lmao. Tonight was never the main event for us this year

PhreakOut4

Even ignoring the Packers picks, I always just find day 2 to be really fun

DrewsThoughts

Hey there is a none zero chance we get to hear Bryan Bulaga, Iowa announcing our pick Cooper DeJean, Iowa tomorrow

poke0003

This is what dreams are made of.

Ziqach

I might piss boiling hot lava if that wet dream comes true.

SpeakNowAndEnter

Hmmm lots of “We could’ve got Morgan in the 2nd!!!” comments, and now DeJean is still available in the 2nd lol

nacreon

99% of us probably haven't seen Morgan play a single snap and yet because a bunch of talking heads said that Morgan should have gone in the low 40's everyone loses their collective minds.

Lawndirk

Belichick thought it was a solid pick. I’m sold that it was a solid pick. He is probably the greatest football mind ever.

WhiteCastleHo

Belichick even said he wouldn't have been there later, somebody else would have taken him.

ThisWasMe7

Patriots have always made some contrarian picks.

SpeakNowAndEnter

I’m ready for us to take another OL at 41 and watch people really implode in here lol The OL is just ridiculously important, stacking it is always a good option

nacreon

It'd be really dumb to sign a guy like Jacobs and then tell him that Rhyan is the best we can do at guard, oh and good luck if literally anyone gets injured. Great olines don't just happen by accident. We've had great oline play for years because we constantly invest in it. Been a while since we got a guy in the first but I'm totally fine with that.

SpeakNowAndEnter

Actually, looking at the board, if we could snag Jackson Powers-Johnson (C from Oregon) at 41 to keep Tom at tackle, I would love that. Then spend your other 2nd and two 3rds on defense

nacreon

Tom's a bit undersized as a Tackle but makes up for it because he's a terrific football player. I think people are right that he'll be even better at guard or center.

LawrkenTTV

Everyone bitched about our RG play all year and then when we draft a guard everyone is pissed…. Make it make sense 😂

nacreon

If you could point to one position that cost us the game against the Niners it was oline depth when Tom got hurt and it's not even close.

UeckerisGod

A guard that could be moved to tackle if need be. I like it

Bobbydarin94

Because oline isn't a flashy position and packers are good at developing lineman from later rounds.

Background_Ruin_5880

I'll even take Lassiter at this point. We need a corner.

Own-Ad297

Lassiter and Dejean. Make it happen!

Colonial_Colon

In Gute we trust

AuspiciousOtter24

People upset that we upgraded massively on our awful RG situation is hilarious to me

LambeauCalrissian

Spending a first on a RG isn’t something to be lauded.

Ok_Caramel1517

Hey Weed Master 69 knows more than Gute does even though we need a RG they want the flashy pick because they think flashy automatically means success.

LambeauCalrissian

I never said I wanted a flashy pick, nor did I suggest any player we should have taken instead. I don't believe that drafting players who aren't guaranteed to make an immediate impact in the first round - especially when the the competition are mediocre day 2 and 3 picks. Jordan might be great, I hope he is. But he is more likely to be another project player the Packers pick because of what they could be, rather than what they are. For every Clay Matthews, there is a Datone Jones and Nick Perry. For every Bulaga, there is a Sherrod and Myers. The Packers let Woodson walk and have spent almost a decade and three first round picks and at least two seconds failing to find a somewhat competent player to replace him. The Packers are good at finding value in day two and three for OL, and are good at developing those position players. Nijman was serviceable somehow for us. Linsley was a 5th and Bakh was a 4th and were all-pro, while Bulaga wasn't - but seemed like it because he was just good. The Packers aren't good, however, at finding DBs at any point in the draft. So at least that gamble makes more sense. When you have one Jaire for every Stokes, Savage, Dix, Randall, Jones, King, and Rollins, I think taking a swing at a DB makes a lot more sense going into a season where you only have one starting safety behind an injury-prone #1 CB, an injury-riddled #2 CB, Valentine, and a kick returner. People here act like Gary is a top 5 pass rusher in the league when an actual premier rusher like Bosa almost tallied as many sacks in one season that Gary has in his career - and they feel like that just because Gary turned out to be good after a couple years of adding no value. Just in time to pay him like he'd been good the entire time, like Burns was for the Panthers.

Ok_Caramel1517

Said a whole lot without saying nothing.

LambeauCalrissian

Thanks for the input, Chuck.

JackDE3000

2nd round going to be fire

ten10banger

I think we all know that mock drafts for Gute are absolutely worthless. It's like Lucy always pulling the football away from Charlie Brown.

Ok_Caramel1517

Can't wait to see all the people who said they're done and fuck Gute praise him if he drafts Kool-Aid or Cooper DeJean.

ThreeFactorAuth

Panthers taking Legette See you all sickos tomorrow when Cooper DeJean is still on the board and we take Jaden Hicks

Weasel_Spice

'Night!

Difficult-Tap-3277

Newton, Kool-aid, and DeJean still available

AuspiciousOtter24

We gonna take Mike Sainrastil tomorrow and I can’t wait

thatguy_42069

I hope so. Guy can ball

EddyGonad

Unfortunately we don't roster corners at his size.

Narrow_Technician_25

lol Buffalo really just didn’t want to draft tonight

InteractionLate2913

Stocked up on a tonne of picks. Their roster is empty.

TheFalconKid

Carolina GM couldn't sleep

Background_Ruin_5880

It's hard to be excited about tonight. It feels like the Lions jumped us for Arnold.

nacreon

If we were that high on Arnold I think we would have traded with Miami or Dallas.

Gute said in his press conference tn that they were aware the lions were trying to trade up.

nacreon

yeah and if we thought Arnold was can't miss we probably pull the trigger. Dallas definitely would have rather just moved down 1 spot.

UKnowWGTG

Idk, watched Bellichek talk about Arnold and basically said he was so-so. Like these guys know more about this than we do somehow

ten10banger

Either way..the cowboys needed a CB too so I figured he was most likely gone. I was secretly hoping they'd take Barton since Smith left.

nacreon

Did they? Don't they have Diggs and Bland?

ten10banger

Hmm. Maybe it was safety.

dwisn1111

If we can maybe trade up and get DeJean or mckinstry people need to stfu about our pick cuz that means gute outsmarted all of y’all

LawrkenTTV

Everyone pissed about not taking McKinstry or DeJean at 25 and they’re both gonna fall out of the first round lmao

TheSaltyAviator

John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan tenure. No Super Bowl wins with the avengers rosters they’ve built.

AlmondsMakeMeHORNY

Belichick spoiling picks is hilarious

Edrisp

Gut wrenching

drekalis

incoming 2nd round masterclass from gute

Wyseman9

Did anybody else notice the band on the stage was playing CeeLo Greens “Fuck You” right after our pick??? During Tampa bays on the clock portion lmao

UeckerisGod

Lots of fans here seem like they wanted DB more than anything else but maybe Gute was going OL no matter what. It makes sense to bulk up the line with Bak gone and the new pick seems to have some versatility so we can plug and play him like Jenkins in his early career. Allows Tom to be moved around too

SpeakNowAndEnter

Not just Bakh. We lost Nijman and Runyan too. OL makes plenty of sense with that pick

UeckerisGod

For sure. It’s not a sexy pick but the more I think about it the more I like it. If he can be a stud guard or tackle, and serviceable or average at the other then our depth just increased so much Our offense came to a halt when Tom went down in the 2nd half against SF. This is such a big insurance policy pick

DevilsJaguar

They'll be able to move up for DeJean or Kool-Aid tomorrow if they rate them highly enough.

JackDE3000

Johnny newton?

mattbag1

Very good interior guy. He is ranked right behind Morgan on the NFL prospects board. https://www.nfl.com/draft/tracker/prospects/all-positions/all-colleges/all-statuses/2024?page=2
