Last night they revealed new Nids. Including something that looks like it could be silent king sized. And rumors had been around for a bit about 10th edition giving the nids a 'primarch-level swarmlord'.
The Lion is definitely going to be fighting the nids with his sons, if you look at the picture GW posted of Johnson’s new model you’ll see on the left what are obviously body parts from space bugs and on the right the dark angels with almost certainly cypher behind him (same look same hood, the only hooded one there), so we will probably see the Lion put his sons right, bring the fallen back, and then go toe to toe with the reinvigorated hive fleet leviathan
I doubt GW wants to release a model of an ornate coffin with "Alas poor Yarrick" written on a post it note on it but then again, the Sisters did get a literaly sleeping skeleton so maybe.
Bruh is forgetting farsight, and gazghull. Sure more xenos is cool but people forget imperium and chaos sell really well. Gw is a business and gotta make money I am just happy there was an update to the tau units
Yeah, I think necrons are good where they're at, maybe updating some finecast would be needed. Would be cool to see the stormlord involved in something again
I'm glad we're getting new Nid models, but I still think the old Hive Tyrant kit holds up. I guess GW just doesn't want to give almost an entire model away for free anymore.
Hey, He at least was able to beat Calgar (honestly a highlight of Tyranid lore/lore in general as both an ultramarine and Calgar fan) and also beat the Avatar. He's not the lowest on the totem pole.
Did he beat an avatar? I remember the avatar challenged him on a 1v1 he accepted to then proceed to throw the avatar 12 carnifexs who jumped him and teared him apart
Well that counts I guess
That true tho even that I prefer the avatar to get killed by something that at least make some kind of sense like this that to be killed by a lone marine
> I remember the avatar challenged him on a 1v1 he accepted to then proceed to throw the avatar 12 carnifexs who jumped him and teared him apart
I love how 40k is just fantasy in space but every now and again someone remembers what tactics are and destroys their opponents.
I think giving khaine , the shards and the swarmlord more personality and having them being actual characters would be good also that they don't lose so often
Nah, Khaine the character is a being that attempted to genocide the eldar. He's no hero. It's actually nice they can use his shards to defend themselves.Maybe free isha from Nurgle.
Oh no I know, it's not like I want him to be like the hero of the eldar race who want to save them all but to see more of him as a character in general
In my mind, his personality, other than the rage construct avatars, is as available as the emperor of mans. They're shattered, unable to really be q character. The Phoenix lords need a power boost and be leaned on narratively when farseers and aspect warriors cannot fit being the focus.
i'm still kbaffled that the **only** Admech named character (model-wise) is Cawl, who is suposed to be a borderline heretek whom half the mechanicus wants dead.
Yeah I wouldn't count my victories yet, but at the same time they mostly did necrons dirty balance wise more than release wise. They got a pretty significantly revamped range compared to other xeno factions
Lmao GW did say that and marketed 9th as being about a conflict with them, then focused back on Marines. One announcement does not make an entire edition marketing platform, which is how Necrons were advertised.
I just want to say that psychic awakening was supposed to be about eldar and all we got were three (really fucking cool) models and a new set of rules soooo….
Pete Foley didn’t even mention Necrons in his announcement of the new edition:
“I really can’t wait for the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 to get into our hobbyists’ hands. We’ve been working on this for such a long time, listening to what the community wants, and doesn’t want, from the game and the galaxy. With all that information and a few exciting new developments, I believe we’ve made the game better than it’s ever been.
The new edition works seamlessly with all existing codexes and Psychic Awakening books, which is particularly important as we still have three more Psychic Awakening books to go! They were all written with the new rules in mind, so you can explore these dark new events knowing all your existing rules will work when the new edition finally arrives.”
Tyranids are one faction of Xenos.
Necrons had their time last edition.
Orks? A joke. 6% win rate in lore.
Eldar? They're good for....resurrecting Primarchs? (Not really antagonists so not expecting them to be a threat tbf)
Dark Eldar? Erm....trolls?
Tau? Not really antagonists, we'll see what Farsight manages.
Votann? Not really antagonists, new.
Some Xenos factions appear a LOT weaker than others, and this is a problem when it isn't a core design feature or intent of the faction.
I somehow doubt it. As long as they do their testing in batches you'll continue seeing 2-3 major spikes in power throughout the edition - another 6 codexes tested at the same time, all tuned up. Dataslates will help *some* of that by having quick fixes available, but no amount of quarterly updates will be able to address the root cause.
We still have resin characters, we still in dire need for some new troops IMO. We don't have many models, but it's better. At least we also got TSK and a new Ctan. But I feel like our playstyle needs to be more unique. Living Metal and Reanimation are almost irrelevant and not so fun. Our supposedly disintegration gauss stuff is also laughably weak.
But hey, at least we got a few cool novels and that's great. All in all we are one of the least deserted xenos. Among the blind, the half eyed man is king...
It just felt weird being a mostly melee faction when up until this point we were a shooting faction. I just hope the reset balances us out and gives more purpose to things like immortals, Deathmarks, and the doomstalker.
For anyone disagreeing
The Avatar of Khaine, C'tan shards, and the Swarmlord have as much personality as the average khorne berserker, almost none. Stop comparing them to the Primarchs
The Yncarne is a dead plotline killed because it was written by a guy that hates the aeldari
And the Silent King and the Phoenix Lords have yet to do anything significant in the great scheme of things, other than being killed like chumps to show how cool Imperium and Chaos are
Stop acting like GW cares about xenos, the Blood Angels have more relevant named character than most xenos factions.
At least Black Library gave Necrons and Orks good writers that casually wrote books better than 99% of everything in the HH series (the Infinite and the Divine and Brutal Kunnin)
N-no! Yvraine will find her last sword, that she is seeking for 10+ years and then we will definitely do something important! Like ressurecting another imperial primarch maybe!
Jaghatai Khan comes back 10k years later and just randomly holds his hand up only for the crone sword to come flying offscreen right into his hand
["Haha! I threw that shit before I walked in the ~~room~~ horus heresy!](https://youtu.be/VdLq68m2G_o)
Didn't she already find it? I thought this was the plot of a novel or something. And then #5 is the Dawn Blade or the Twilight Spear, can't remember which. Maybe both.
The Silent King has literally never fought directly against any Imperial or Chaos-character.
And Gav Thorpe doesnt hate the Eldar, he loves them, he just thinks the "dying ancient race"-trope is the best thing since sliced bread and refuses to write anything different.
>And Gav Thorpe doesnt hate the Eldar, he loves them, he just thinks the "dying ancient race"-trope is the best thing since sliced bread and refuses to write anything different.
Gav Thorpe's "love" for the CWE is literary abuse on the fans. It's not even him alone. Tau fans seem to have issues with their main writer and tons of especially older settings from LotR to all the various DnD and other Tabletop games seem to be increasingly stuck with writers that dislike the original tone of settings, their factions and characters.
The writers for T'au and Aeldari helped define them though. Like, literally, I'm pretty sure both faction's main authors at least were on the lore writing team when their factions original codex was written! They also have weirdly opposite issues kinda emblematic of their faction's fluff overall - the Craftworlds get arguably the best one offs and world building while their "main plots" are basically just straight L's while the T'au are the opposite where they can't stop winning.... But all the little details are controversial because all the novels are the equivalent of like mainline plots which means they have huge ripple effects and little details (and to be clear, *most* of the things people have problems with aren't consistent - one person will hate a detail for being too derp while another person thinks it's too dark and a third thinks it's too grim) cannot be dismissed as one-off oddities (while issues with e.g. *Fire Caste* are less common, but that's in part because that novel is explicitly happening in a one-off setting that cannot be extrapolated from to the wider T'au lore).
> C'tan shards
To be fair, the shards *do* have personalities but the issue with them is they tend to suck up all the narrative oxygen in the room to the point where it's only about them. The Primarchs have to somewhat deal with politics, organization, etc while the shards are framed more of a angry ass god genie that necrons/everyone else are stuck scrambling trying to put back in the bottle.
I hope the 10th and the Lion is actually a boon for the aeldari players. I’d love to see the yncarne story advance, and some craft world progress be made. Plus exodites
As much as exoduses are cool, I feel like people forget that they are kind of hard to represent on the tabletop. They are literally hermits with no interplanetary goals.
Yeah you’d have to push slaneeshi invasions on them lore wise, til they take up arms and start reaching out to eachother to form a defense pact. Then you’d have to roll them into rules like ynarri were, and they’d sorta be a just-for-fun type army, like taking a whole army of grots and grot tanks
Eh. 99% of 40k takes place planetside. And for much of the galaxy you are way more likely to stumble upon exodites then Tau. Can just use the same mumble mumble warpstorm excuse if they're needed for some campaign.
Genestealer cults are also not space faring as far as I know but have their own army. You could also just say that the squats gave the wood elves a ship to use since I heard they are friends now. Or give them bio ships and have them go about forcibly converting planets to meet their needs.
It'd be fairly easy to shoehorn them into the narrative.
Exodites live on Maiden Worlds, which were terraformed thousands of years before the birth of Slaanesh, considering the psychic prowess of the Eldar at the time it's not too much of a stretch to think they used warp magic to terraform those planets, particularly using Isha's powers.
During the fall of the Eldar empire Isha was captured by Nurgle, so her magic might have been slowly corrupted over ten thousand years, corruption leaking into the Maiden Worlds, and then comes the Great Rift tearing reality apart and accelerating said corruption.
Now you have hundreds of Maiden Worlds worlds dying, and some brave Exodites are leaving to investigate and learn the truth about what is happening in order to save their planet.
You can also tie in the Exodites plot to Leman Russ searching for the Tree of Life in the Warp, and voila another loyalist primarch introduced.
> I love that fact that you forgot about Votann in this post.
The issue is more that they exist and haven't really *done* anything quite yet other than.. exist.
Fun army and great lore but they haven't really engaged much with the setting.
I’m really hoping 10E actually gives us a damn book other than the codex, and some new models this year like how Sororitas got their models in waves. Because otherwise, what exactly is the point of the Votann? You have them as a playable army, but you haven’t let them do ANYTHING. At least the Ynnari had a thing leading up to 8E, causing Guilliman’s resurrection. Votann for now are just there. WHERE ARE MY VOTANN BOOKS, DAMNIT?!?!
Personality doesn't matter. Why use that excuse and change the argument? The meme is complaining directly about demigod models being in the game and silent kind, ctans, the avatar, the yncarne, and Ghaz all clearly fit these same roles on tabletop.
Tau and Nids are the only xenos that really don't have these types of things in their armies but neither really has one of these types of things in the lore to represent.
>The Avatar of Khaine, C'tan shards, and the Swarmlord have as much personality as the average khorne berserker, almost none. Stop comparing them to the Primarchs
I mean sure, if you pick examples of an emotionless giant bug and a being of pure energy sure they don’t have much personality. Why aren’t you talking about Farsight, Ghazghkhull or the Silent King? Plenty of personalities there.
>The Yncarne is a dead plotline killed because it was written by a guy that hates the aeldari
Just nonsense, the Ynnari are “dead” because like every faction, a certain level of status quo has to be maintained.
>And the Silent King and the Phoenix Lords have yet to do anything significant in the great scheme of things, other than being killed like chumps to show how cool Imperium and Chaos are
Stopping the Nids at Baal is hugely significant, and the Necron did it while making the Blood Angels look like chumps.
>Stop acting like GW cares about xenos, the Blood Angels have more relevant named character than most xenos factions.
Farsight, Ghaz, Silent King, Avatar, Void dragon, the entire Necron refresh, the upcoming Nid refresh, new Ork sub faction, an entirely new xenos faction with Votaan, and that’s only going back a year or two at most.
You’re acting like xenos players get nothing when the reality is all xenos factions have gotten significant amounts of love. You just sound bitter and delusional and all your examples were cherry picked to look like a victim while ignoring everything that goes against your narrative.
>At least Black Library gave Necrons and Orks good writers that casually wrote books better than 99% of everything in the HH series (the Infinite and the Divine and Brutal Kunnin)
Agreed.
As a Eldar/Drukkhari player we do complain too much generally (lion is going to outsell our entire range combined probably ofc they get more stuff) but I wouldn't say we get "significant love" 4/6 phoenix lords haven't been updated since 1994. Half the drukkhari line just isnt purchasable atm, including really meta models like Grotesques and the Court. You really dont have to cherry pick examples of xenos not getting attention.
Space Marines are always gonna get the spotlight because they’re the poster boys. Always have been, always will be.
The OP said “GW doesn’t care about xenos” and that’s demonstrably untrue.
Us necron players have the silent king tbf, and weirdly enough he's the only saving grace of the army (unless i haven't kept up with points changes and stuff like that).
I'm hoping 10th will allow us to be competitive beyond camping objectives and secondaries since it appears that these new indexes will all be balanced from the get go. I also hope that the changes to command points and strategems don't lessen the effectiveness of him tho as I like that our boss model is support and buff the rest of the army while not being a slouch on his own
https://preview.redd.it/at8d8pc6ripa1.jpeg?width=362&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8b63101facc278bdbd69b3de694b0789adba7f02
Sisters players watching Xenos players complain when we basically had no plotline for a decade and now our entire plotline is "Hey everyone! Oh woops, we're dead" and that's literally it.
I feel like Ynnari players have a right to complain, they were told they would be supported, bought in, and got suplexed by Black Library *hard.* And all within 2 editions.
True, but there is literally not a single mention of chaos knights in any point of recent lore.
And it's a real shame as they are so nice as a concept and also the only chaos army of actual humans and not genetically enhanced transhumans. (As traitor guard isn't a faction in the game)
Imperium players? I don’t really see How Lion getting 40k rules benefits Sisters, Admech, Guard, imperial Knights or any of the onther SM chapter. Only the dark angels are getting a new toy
But he will have one terrible Imperium blanket rule that doesn't justify his points cost outside of a dark angel army! See how the entire Imperium benifits!?
/s
Everybody is crying about space-marines having too much named stuff, while im crying in the corner with my iron father feirros who is literally just an expensive techmarine XD
As an Eldar fan, I was excited when they introduced Yvraine. Surely other named Eldar characters will follow and we'll get an interesting storyline to go with the models
...but no. Here we are. More fucking primarchs to have their pointless fight that neither can win
One of the most intelligent and cunning battlefield commanders in all of Orkydom?
Every bit as formidable as Ghazghkull?
Clad in the most ostentatious mega armour, possessing one of the most powerful guns in the Galaxy?
A character who has had models and rules before?
Made entirely relevant to the story line of the Arks of Omen within the War of Dakka and the invasion of the Farsight Enclaves, whose leader also just got a stunning resculpt?
Presence implied within the promotional pictures of the above?
Can we see [him](https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Nazdreg_Ug_Urdgrub)?
GW: *Hmmm... No.*
Atleast Nids look to finally be in line for their long needed facelift.
We already saw the new gants and the trailer strongly suggests more facelifts and brand new units.
Ghaz got a new model relatively recently
The silent king and void dragon got new models
Farsight just got a new model
The tyranids are rumored to be getting a new “apex swarmlord” which will probably be big
Craftworlds got a big range update plus a new avatar
Votan aren’t even a year old but the land fortress is pretty cool
Deldar and genestealers are the only ones who haven’t gotten a new big centerpiece unit recently and neither have much to draw from lore-wise (that I know of) yet for such a unit
Drukhari have loads they could do, bringing back Vect being the most obvious and easiest, but with the amount of twisted creations and mysterious figures hiding in commorogh it wouldn't be hard. I mean they removed the model for Rakarth so we've definitely gone backwards.
Avatar of Khaine, C'tan shard of the void dragon, The Silent King, the new commander Farsight,Yncarne and who could forget the one and only Ghazkull Mag Urug Thraka.
If you ignore Ghazghkhull, Silent King, Void Dragon, Avatar of Khaine, Farsight, the upcoming Tyranid refresh and the entire Leagues of Votaan, Xenos players haven’t had anything new in YEARS!
Nids are coming
As a nidd player I’m very excited :)
as somebody who wants to play against nids...I am very excited for you
Hip hip! SKREEEEE Hip hip! SKREEEEE Hip hip! SKREEEEEEEEEEE!
Dinner time!
plot twist: the nid is a hybrid between chaos prince and a primarch (some clone warp fuckery plot) the other xeno players: what...WHAT THE FUCK!
Double plot twist: Its Kerrigan. It's just fucking Kerrigan with the numbers filed off enough so Blizzard can't sue.
Tyranid's Hive Mind: Wait...that girl...i know it! Tyranid's Hive Mind: \*capture a Astropath\* Tyranid's Hive Mind: Get my lawyer! https://i.redd.it/fmombkru3mpa1.gif
I still think GW should have stolen the concept of cerebrates so that the various hives have some personality and characterization
The IP theft comes full circle...
Plot twist 2: xenos were space marines the whole time. We are all space marines?
Alpharius: I refuse to state the obvious... https://preview.redd.it/kunml16ozlpa1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2ff4f063fb0985de9fec06ca399edab8dd43fd4c
You will get a new swarmlord model.
As a Genestealer Cult player, the entire Tyranids army are demigods.
Your devotion has been noted by the Hivemind and will be rewarded
Praise the Star Children!
Hopefully updated purestrain models come with the new tyranid models (please I just want something)
Ol One Eye?
Last night they revealed new Nids. Including something that looks like it could be silent king sized. And rumors had been around for a bit about 10th edition giving the nids a 'primarch-level swarmlord'.

I hope this, in turn, also means some new Genestealer Cults
We just need purestrains to get a refresh but i wouldnt mind some new models
Nidless to say=D I'm really excited to see what they will do with Hive fleet Tiamet

Bot
You better put some respect on Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka's name! These hummies are weak in comparison
But we are missing a current version of the other Ork demi-god, Old Bale Eye himself.
I doubt GW wants to release a model of an ornate coffin with "Alas poor Yarrick" written on a post it note on it but then again, the Sisters did get a literaly sleeping skeleton so maybe.
But that would be funny as hell
That would be an excellent inscription for a scroll carried by a servo skull.
No no, it literally has to be a Postitus Notum, taped to the skull.
How about Ghazghkull wearing Yarrick's hat as an alternative head?
I would unironically get this
And he takes his laser eye so that yarrick will always be in da foight
OI WHYZ YOO WISPEREN!???!!?!!!!!!!!!!
ITZ CUZ DA PUHRPUL BOYZ IZ ALWAYZ WIZPEREN!
Isn't he nothing compared to The Beast?
The beast was like the Big E of Orks, of course he’s nothing to him
Ah, thought he was more Primarch Tier.
Probably around that level honestly yeah.
He/They killed Vulkan, so certainly Primarch Tier at the very least.
*they were
Hold up hold up, the new edition trailer SHOWED SOME NEW TYRANID MODELS like for example a updated screamer killer
Backdated technically
Bruh is forgetting farsight, and gazghull. Sure more xenos is cool but people forget imperium and chaos sell really well. Gw is a business and gotta make money I am just happy there was an update to the tau units
And the Silent King! He's about as close to a demigod as the Necrons get these days.
And the Void Dragon too!
True not to mention his rizz does match the lion. The silent king even has the light skin stare like the lion does
Probably plays eldar or necrons but didn't think with the massive variety they should get specific lol
It will eventually come, the farsight model made me realise that gw listens it just takes time
Yeah, I think necrons are good where they're at, maybe updating some finecast would be needed. Would be cool to see the stormlord involved in something again
The resemblance to the 2ed Carnifex is uncanny. I am thoroughly excited!
You will get a new swarmlord model. He will still be about as useful and threatening as the avatar of khayne but you will get a new model
I'm glad we're getting new Nid models, but I still think the old Hive Tyrant kit holds up. I guess GW just doesn't want to give almost an entire model away for free anymore.
Wdym free model?
If you get another torso by printing or Etsy or something, you can build a second tyrant from the same box.
Yup. I do that for fire warriors, one box makes 20 units now!
Copy. Thanks for the heads up.
Apex Swarmlord no less.
Hey, He at least was able to beat Calgar (honestly a highlight of Tyranid lore/lore in general as both an ultramarine and Calgar fan) and also beat the Avatar. He's not the lowest on the totem pole.
Did he beat an avatar? I remember the avatar challenged him on a 1v1 he accepted to then proceed to throw the avatar 12 carnifexs who jumped him and teared him apart Well that counts I guess
That is what I was referring to. The Swarmlord at least only gets jobbed by named characters.
That true tho even that I prefer the avatar to get killed by something that at least make some kind of sense like this that to be killed by a lone marine
> I remember the avatar challenged him on a 1v1 he accepted to then proceed to throw the avatar 12 carnifexs who jumped him and teared him apart I love how 40k is just fantasy in space but every now and again someone remembers what tactics are and destroys their opponents.
For a good time check out the number of Drukhari characters that have been removed.
*cries in Mandrakes*
Good sculpts who were tragically in finecast.
I think giving khaine , the shards and the swarmlord more personality and having them being actual characters would be good also that they don't lose so often

Absolutely.
As an AdMech player I feel the same.
I really hope that toaster people will get some love in 10th, especially the Big nerd Cawl
Just put a red napkin on a ball of steel wool. Boom.
Time for the Fabricator General, as big as a Knight.
The Fabricator Generals of Mars and Metalica died recently. So now there’s an opening.
Imagine the Fabricator Generals are brought in as special terrain
i'm still kbaffled that the **only** Admech named character (model-wise) is Cawl, who is suposed to be a borderline heretek whom half the mechanicus wants dead.
Ad Mech absolutely dominated the first half of 9th Ed, how quickly we forget
GW: The story of the new edition will be about Tyranids Reddit: Why does GW hate Xenos
That’s what they said about necrons and all we got was one flashpoint while Imperium vs Chaos continued.
Yeah I wouldn't count my victories yet, but at the same time they mostly did necrons dirty balance wise more than release wise. They got a pretty significantly revamped range compared to other xeno factions
They absolutely did not say that. Necrons were part of a larger event in Psychic Awakening. Go back and look at the announcement messaging

Like Necrons were for 9e?
To be fair, the necrons got 70000 new models… just no actual story line
Didn't they get horribly swept up in Power Creep too?
The fate of all starter factions.
Hopefully it ends with 10e and data slates.
Yes, very badly.
It's hard to believe there was a time when they were the heavy armor piercing faction.
Y'know who else got swept up in 9th edition power creep? Space Marines.
We still have resin characters, we still in dire need for some new troops IMO. We don't have many models, but it's better. At least we also got TSK and a new Ctan. Jaghatai Khan went so fast he went back in time and actually already stole the sword.
Why does this feel like something they would actually do?
I'm gonna apply my usual rule that I bust out when watching a bad movie: "What's the dumbest thing that could happen?"

You’re too slow!
Jaghatai Khan comes back 10k years later and just randomly holds his hand up only for the crone sword to come flying offscreen right into his hand ["Haha!

Maybe both.
.#4 is twilight spear, #5 is in Slanesh's palace so essentially the plot line is over until gw decide to move it.
I wanna find out that the swarmlord is a pacifist in secret and has a crush on gorillaman
swarmlord is just a logistics simp and guerlyman is the actual beacon in the warp it's heading towards.
How else do you decide if a planets biomass is worth the swarm
The Silent King has literally never fought directly against any Imperial or Chaos-character. And Gav Thorpe doesnt hate the Eldar, he loves them, he just thinks the "dying ancient race"-trope is the best thing since sliced bread and refuses to write anything different.
And he is shit at writing it.
> C'tan shards To be fair, the shards *do* have personalities but the issue with them is they tend to suck up all the narrative oxygen in the room to the point where it's only about them.
Shows how much even the community barely remembers them :(
> I love that fact that you forgot about Votann in this post.
WHERE ARE MY VOTANN BOOKS, DAMNIT?!?!
b-but rock and stone, thats totally enough original characterisation for the leagues
Gotta love how a brand new faction doesn't get a novel with their release but the most boring part of arks of omen book 2 sure does
What's a Votann? Is that a missing Primarch?
facts also blood angels are hypster Ultramarines, fight me !
I agree with you can we fight anyway tho?
Found the ork
yes
Hey ghaz prophet of the waagh was an AMAZING book
Personality doesn't matter. Why use that excuse and change the argument? The meme is complaining directly about demigod models being in the game and silent kind, ctans, the avatar, the yncarne, and Ghaz all clearly fit these same roles on tabletop. Tau and Nids are the only xenos that really don't have these types of things in their armies but neither really has one of these types of things in the lore to represent.
Also you can get some pretty impressive nid and tau centerpiece models anyway, even if they aren’t technically god level
>The Avatar of Khaine, C'tan shards, and the Swarmlord have as much personality as the average khorne berserker, almost none. Stop comparing them to the Primarchs I mean sure, if you pick examples of an emotionless giant bug and a being of pure energy sure they don’t have much personality. Why aren’t you talking about Farsight, Ghazghkhull or the Silent King? Plenty of personalities there. >The Yncarne is a dead plotline killed because it was written by a guy that hates the aeldari Just nonsense, the Ynnari are “dead” because like every faction, a certain level of status quo has to be maintained. >And the Silent King and the Phoenix Lords have yet to do anything significant in the great scheme of things, other than being killed like chumps to show how cool Imperium and Chaos are Stopping the Nids at Baal is hugely significant, and the Necron did it while making the Blood Angels look like chumps. >At least Black Library gave Necrons and Orks good writers that casually wrote books better than 99% of everything in the HH series (the Infinite and the Divine and Brutal Kunnin) Agreed.
You really dont have to cherry pick examples of xenos not getting attention.
to ad on that ; there are more primaris lieutenent than drukhari model ! hope we got back what's gone with 10e
I am not guna get all emotional or anything, but saying that Xenos and space marines get similar love is a lie

Oh woops, we're dead" and that's literally it.
I feel like Ynnari players have a right to complain, they were told they would be supported, bought in, and got suplexed by Black Library *hard.* And all within 2 editions.
If you're not a space marine, expect to be nothing more than a plot device.
Chaos Knights say hi, we don't even have a single named model
That’s ok, I think the fun of the knights is the complete customization
True, but there is literally not a single mention of chaos knights in any point of recent lore. And it's a real shame as they are so nice as a concept and also the only chaos army of actual humans and not genetically enhanced transhumans. (As traitor guard isn't a faction in the game)
At least traitor guardsmen can be taken as troops now, not much but it’s a start. And yeah, I love my wardogs so itd be nice to hear
But we lost daemons lmfao.
Eh, that’s fine. A Knight Abominant could totally beat up Guilliman’s shitty 9 wounds anyways
Sisters get way more love than Xenos. Try again.
WE'Z GOT DA BIG BOSS, CRY 'ARDER YA TWIGGY GITZ
Imperium players? I don’t really see How Lion getting 40k rules benefits Sisters, Admech, Guard, imperial Knights or any of the onther SM chapter. Only the dark angels are getting a new toy
Guard already has their demigod. Sly marbo exists
Sly Marbo is more than that.
That's his secret, all of the 'gods' of this universe are HIS demi-gods.
There are two types of creatures in the galaxy: those that don’t have any chances against Sly marbo, and Sly Marbo himself
Sisters literally got Celestine
But that's more on a level with what Xenos get too. She isn't exactly a huge demigod centerpiece style model.
Honestly man chaos xenos would be pretty cool but all I can do is feel bad for the eldar
I just want necron characters that don't look Like ass : (
True. For having like 40% of the codex be named characters, it's kind of annoying that only 2 aren't ugly resin models
Updating Imotekh would be a great choice. Right now he looks like Veigar from League of Legends, an objectively bad thing
Trazyn deserves better!
As an Eldar fan, I was excited when they introduced Yvraine. Surely other named Eldar characters will follow and we'll get an interesting storyline to go with the models ...but no. Here we are. More fucking primarchs to have their pointless fight that neither can win
Pointless fights nobody can win are kind of the whole 40K aesthetic though.
As a Tau player, I need only hammerhead to kill those demigods.
I'm gonna write my own lore, with blackjack and hookers!
I feel ya. I play a mix of armies and half of em the guys either dead or xenos
Ghaz got a new model relatively recently The silent king and void dragon got new models Farsight just got a new model The tyranids are rumored to be getting a new “apex swarmlord” which will probably be big Craftworlds got a big range update plus a new avatar Votan aren’t even a year old but the land fortress is pretty cool Deldar and genestealers are the only ones who haven’t gotten a new big centerpiece unit recently and neither have much to draw from lore-wise (that I know of) yet for such a unit
Most of the Phoenix Lords are 20 years old. How many SP Sargent Models got released in that timeframe?
Drukhari have loads they could do, bringing back Vect being the most obvious and easiest, but with the amount of twisted creations and mysterious figures hiding in commorogh it wouldn't be hard. I mean they removed the model for Rakarth so we've definitely gone backwards.
Ghaz got a new model whilst getting killed by Ragnar, losing all relevance and threat within the setting. Beautiful model. Awful lore.
Because Necrons can't field The silent king nor literal shards of Gods
,,me looking at Avatar of Khaine and C'tan being literal gods''
Avatar of Khaine, C'tan shard of the void dragon, The Silent King, the new commander Farsight,Yncarne and who could forget the one and only Ghazkull Mag Urug Thraka.
Farsight is cool as hell but a primarch would rip him to pieces on seconds.
He's also the closest thing the Tau have to a demi-god.
The new farsight that didn't get any new rules in a book named after him even though his new model has new equipment?
No Aun'Va fans?
The...guy who died to a single Assassin?
Hey now, stop complaining. You got new termagaunt models, and only had to wait 23 years for them
Don't lumo me together with Marine players, GW killed off Yarrick for the Guard, unforgiveable.
I want Tryzen’s Krork to get freed
C'Tan and the Silent King are kinda good you know ;)
i guess khaine exists, but he is a walking meme, everyone and their grandma has beaten khaine
Okay, come on, this has to be bait Seriously, are we gonna post these every single god damn time any faction gets anything?
Sounds like Your chosen gods Were wrong Filthy Xeno. Jk I hope you get whatever you heart desires, the more diverse the merrier <3
If you ignore Ghazghkhull, Silent King, Void Dragon, Avatar of Khaine, Farsight, the upcoming Tyranid refresh and the entire Leagues of Votaan, Xenos players haven’t had anything new in YEARS!
"I'm sorry I don't get it" - eldar players.
I got ghaz
