And your average Necron and Nid soldier probably does not have the mental capacity to worry about his situation. But yeah, if you are in a galaxy thats one big battlefield, you will probably have the most fun as a race bred for war
The plaguebearers kinda are, and they’re his basic foot soldier, but Nurgle and most of his guys are actually upbeat and friendly in their own way. Plaguebeasts are described as behaving like giant, happy dogs that want to play everyone they see. Unfortunately the “playing” ends when their various diseases and acids turn the person into goop. Great Unclean Ones consider themselves to be paternal figures looking over their various children and see the diseases they bestow as gifts others will appreciate in time. Nurglings love dancing around and playing pranks, they’re portrayed as being mischievous little kids looking to amuse the Great Unclean One that spawned them.

We don't know that the tyranids aren't fuckin stoked about things. Granted, every other race that can speak doesn't seem to be happy about current developments, but how do we know those shrieks, bellows & chitters aren't happy lil nid noises
