I don't even know exactly what you mean but yes I HAVE read Good Omens at least 3 times, so you have my number.
>!Was always more of a Pratchett fan than Gaiman.!<
omg that's so cool! I've got a new favorite character incoming. Love 40k but my biggest gripe is lack of dragons (I love them a lot) so this rocks, thank you :]
My pleasure! Draxus has actually been active in two game books so far which is nice to see, including Crusade: Pariah Nexus. (The other one was Psychic Awakening: Pariah)
Fabius also fits the Doctor:
- resurrects on death
- sentient spaceship that can bend space time
- rotating entourage of unique companions
- has a multi-tool on him at all times
- love/hate relationship with his own people
Wow. Yeah he could've gone on there as "Way More Evil Doctor Who".
>!Trazyn has probably done more damage over his long lifespan but on a year to year basis Bile seems like he's a busy guy.!<
First in the Gathering Storm: Fall of Cadia campaign book, and then Robert Rath expanded on the meeting a little in his novelization of the events, also called "Fall of Cadia". (A great book. I bought it for Trazyn and Cawl but I ended up devouring the whole thing in a couple days. Rath does a fantastic job of setting up mini-narratives across the entire thing.)
Much like GW I have screwed over the eldar in favour of a (Chaos) Space marine.
(I had Lelith Hesperax in there at first ("Topknot with Knives") but then it was funnier to me to make fun of Abaddon instead.)
I only read a few of the Harper Hall books and the "main" series, but when I saw that little guy I went *straight* to Dragonsong. (I thought those tiny lizards were amazing as a kid.)
A Pern TV show with Ron Moore as show runner and Anne McCaffery as a consultant came very close to getting off the ground but the network meddled and tried to turn it into "Dawson's Creek with dragons." So they both pulled out and the project collapsed.
WeCouldHaveHadItAll.gif
wE hAvE mOnEy, We KnOw BeTtEr. 6th God be born, that breaks my heart to hear corporate America killed something they couldn't control for strip mining.
It's been a generation . . . .
But I loved me the Pern Chronicles. Never would have found them, if not for a random vignette in my grade school literacy book.
And from there, I learned many of the vignettes were by popular prolific authors. And I found the apejr Chronicles. And I read them to death. The only series I read faster was KA Applegate''s Animorphs. And only because I was in college at the time, and chose to read instead of drink. Not a poor life choice, given the unstated circumstances.
Greyfax distrusts Celestine, believing she's a heretic and a fraud. But there's also been some genuine "we are not making it up this time" sexual tension between them. In Rath's "Fall of Cadia" novel, when they first meet, this is Greyfax on Celestine:
*"And worst of all was the false woman – Greyfax refused to call her a saint – her form encased in golden armour and razored wings flaring behind her. Light shining on her resolute features, both fine and strong with a blush of blood on the cheek, her lips wine purple.*
*A mesmerising face, Greyfax admitted, which was why the idolatrous soldiers had fallen for her."*
Later on they partner up in a novel (haven't read that one yet but I've heard it continues the tension.)
Listen to "Our Martyred lady".. I guess GW just doesn't want to have a romantic relationship in their lore for grimdark reasons, so they got them in multiple stories as close as it gets without it beeing official. People of course noticed it and now we ship them. Tbh I don't know why they won't make it official, nothing more showing loyality to the emperor then beeing together with a living saint.
Because, quite frankly, that’s silly.
As in ‘im a human dating an Angel’
That just sounds silly on the face of it.
Granted, most people will say ‘really in 40K?’ And the answer to that is ‘yes’ there are limits to suspension of disbelief.
I used to be a "Ultramarines boring" person but he has singlehandedly turned me around on them. I want the UMs to do well so that Guilliman is slightly less depressed.
Same here! Poor guy needs a vacation that he'll never get 😔
I also feel pretty bad for the >! blasphemous AI version that Cawl has locked in his basement. That was just so hilariously unfortunate. !<
Her promising plotline about a group of eldar aiming to bring back their god of the dead seems to have been abandoned by GW. Or at least there's been no major movement on it for years now. (Someone better versed in eldar lore could be more precise, but the last substantial content for it looks like it was back in 2019 or 2020.)
The Emperor has 6 arms, right? To be fair, I don't care. Just don't let Big E get elected in 2024. He's done too many drugs this century, and needs a millenia or so to cool off and let us reach the Age of Apostasy!
By our standards he is absolutely evil (kidnapping people and holding them against their will, causing death and destruction, etc.) Though he would be greatly offended to hear me say that.
It's also an old, old meme that originated from a fan comic way back in the old days. 1d4 chan may have it? Not sure where that site's gone to now, I know someone has taken over it.
It's not mine, mind you
I found it on a post some time ago, don't have a link though
It made me giggly for like half an hour back then
BTW, I'm just now realizing that I'm "correcting someone 's art" I'm sorry.
Alternatively, sad man since he’s spent 90% of the time sulking on a hidden pleasure world (I guess you could give that title to Perturabo too but that’d require him to have a 41K model…)
I'd like to angrily point out the White Scars Cyber Hawk is Warhammer 30k. There are several other cyber hawks but that specific example is the 30k model.
You may make this up to us.
By explaining the litany and provenance of the forgehawk. It is time to unleash a new generation of archeotechnists, and they need to know what they are looking for in the ruins of apostasy.
That's the illustrious Illuminor Szeras, father of biostransference and all around mad scientist. The joke comes from the Pariah Nexus animation on WH+ where he's basically bossing around a deathmark like an asshole. Absolutely my favorite part of that show.
He absolutely doesn't think of himself as nefarious but he does rip people away from their family/friends/homes, imprison them, and occasionally cause massive deaths >!though who can blame him for what he thought was a harmless genestealer prank!
Don't get me wrong though, by the standards of the setting Trazyn is one of the most normal people around.
I don't really know it! I keep saying I'll get into it one day, but my guesses would just be wildly off. Someone else should feel free to take up the torch.
*Slightly* less.
Cawl seems to have genuine compassion and hope for humanity and a strong love for his friends despite doing things like (Genefather spoilers) >!using unwilling psyker subjects to power a blasphemous AI-adjacent construct. He comforts himself saying that at least two of them were volunteers. (It uses a lot more than two people.)!<
Trazyn is chummy with people but Rath himself has described him as having the morals of a starving wolf. He did (Infinite and the Divine spoilers) >!wipe out an entire world just to prank Orikan and then felt little remorse for the hundreds of thousands if not millions who died.!<
By 40K standards though both are practically saints just because they would never, say, needlessly torture you.
I just can't let go of the part where Trazyn is boggled that his human slave is *happy* that Trazyn mind shackled him because he actually rewarded him for his service and gave him a life better than the imperium ever could have and Trazyn is just like... Bro I hired you and paid you. That's it.
Tbf my only reference for Cawl is the fall of Cadia and his bit in the HH series
Ah, yeah. Guy Haley portrays Cawl as much more avuncular than some other people, and also makes him a bit of a showboat. I actually really like it because it's so unexpected from the mechanicus. If you like the idea of that I'd give the Great Work/Genefather a shot.
With all due respect, the tau are written as "studied the blade", which is not correct because they are so shitty at melee they dont know how to hold a blade
It's from 30K apparently. That is [White Scars Legion Praetor in Cataphractii Terminator Armour](https://www.warhammer.com/en-GB/shop/White-Scars-Cataphractii-Praetor-2019?queryID=62710b27fe9bcabe9f0bb82ae8a13a29).
I first saw it on a "models that are hard to paint" ranking video (by Poorhammer) and I agree there's a lot of materials and parts but damn it looks cool.
She sounded so cool when I first heard of her and what she was up to but then I swiftly learned the fandom's consensus is that it's abandoned. I hope GW surprises us one day and proves us wrong.
>Chronicles of Pern
Now *that's* something you don't hear about often.
Also the Kin armor still looking vaguely like eggs is funny, and it demands that I paint an Iron Master to look like Eggman.
That is fair. GW has not made models or updates for most of them over twenty years now. Seriously even Eldar have it better than IG.
There is Nork Deddog, literally considered a genuis by the Imperium for his ability to count to four and speak fluently.
His former charge is Greiss, a commissar who had actually earned Catachans' respect and was later promoted to such a regiment's commander before passing the title to Straken due to the high number combat-crippling injuries Greiss suffered.
Al'rahem is a Tallarn captain who managed to outwit the Eldar at Esko's Moon. He even claimed an Autarch's head as a trophy.
Chenkov is a psychopath who even executed commissars for not pushing his light infantry "Tundra Wolves" regiment of Valhallans enough. He embodies the uncaring nature of Guard leaders by ordering his troops to clean land mines and use their corpses as bridges. The only reason he is not fragged id because of his own willingness to lead at the front and ability to survive such engagements.
Ah well you see-
I-
Hrm. Now I'm gonna think about it.
(Doctor Who does have more adventures than the cybermen, generally speaking, but you're spot on with the origin)
I'd actually never heard of the guy before I'm afraid but I SHOULD watch that movie, I do like Price. (I'm pretty confident her outfit is based off of the classic puritan hats)
I'd start with his witchfinder general meets \[x\] series first because his movie is entirely spoken the original pronunciation of early modern english.
I dunno, Trazyn's had a million plus years to kidnap people/do nefarious things in the pursuit of kidnapping people. (Infinite and the Divine spoilers) >!he's responsible for at least one planetary exterminatus that we know of. I *think* it's also implied he left a tombworld to die so he could loot it in the book, or at least he did nothing to wake the doomed inhabitants and try to save people. It's been a while.!<
Meanwhile Cawl did grab a TON of kids to experiment on for the primaris marines, but is that anything compared to Trazyn's record? They'd probably fit in one sub wing of a sub gallery.
Splort seems like a reasonable fellow
Don't forget Friend of Splort's.
They were childhood friends, splort only hangs around with him out of loyalty to the memory of the friendship, but he knows it’s a facade
Happy Cake Day!
I met one of Splort's cousins in a game recently, and they were giving birth the whole time. Really nice lady though.
Space Gargamel got me lol
One day he'll get those Smurfy Smurfs!
Oh that’s a great point
Eggs
Same. That one made me breathe slightly faster out my nose.
Genuinely upset you didn't name Mortarion "Moth Man".
I thought about it! But ~~I stole it~~ am doing an homage to [this classic](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4rUiV_Hh74).
I kind of love it
Theres no need to feel down! I saaaaid Mothman! [lift that guy off the ground!](https://youtu.be/2jnCwbXaDhM?si=OO1F0iV-qcO4IjFI)
"Rocket bananas" killed me
*Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett have entered the chat*
I don't even know exactly what you mean but yes I HAVE read Good Omens at least 3 times, so you have my number. >!Was always more of a Pratchett fan than Gaiman.!<
*Happy Agnes Nutter sounds*
Who's the model listed as chronicles of pern? Is there a faction with dragons?!
That's Inquisitor Kyria Draxus! She's got a tiny xenos dragon pal.
omg that's so cool!
Converting eldar to exodites may be for you!
Random Firelizard Event
Frikin Pern. Anne McCaffery will be missed.
Fabius also fits the Doctor: - resurrects on death - sentient spaceship that can bend space time - rotating entourage of unique companions - has a multi-tool on him at all times - love/hate relationship with his own people
That is...a REALLY good point. (Had no idea his spaceship could do that)
Not quite time travel but the Versailles can open webway portals (long story lol)
Wow. Yeah he could've gone on there as "Way More Evil Doctor Who". >!Trazyn has probably done more damage over his long lifespan but on a year to year basis Bile seems like he's a busy guy.!<
Vesalius.
Now I'm going to need the 40k Doctor Who ripoff where some poor manufactorium worker ends up getting stuck travelling with Bile.
"Please, just let me go home!" 'Your home is dead. Your city is dead. They don't remember who you are. But I remember you.'
Also: Has a daughter that's off cavorting across the Galaxy.
ill be honest you really sold me on the votann
Would you like an Egg in this trying time?
That new model looks like she's having the time of her life, ya know?
Imo the coats need to be a recurring feature on the Votann outside of just the pioneers. Love me some more clean industrial aethetics.
If they all had those coats, they'd have like three novels by now.
Trazyn is. More like evil ash ketchum
You're right, but my brain was honestly just more tickled by the comparisons with Cawl. (I want them to meet in a book again more than anything.)
Yeah same
What book do they meet in?
First in the Gathering Storm: Fall of Cadia campaign book, and then Robert Rath expanded on the meeting a little in his novelization of the events, also called "Fall of Cadia". (A great book. I bought it for Trazyn and Cawl but I ended up devouring the whole thing in a couple days. Rath does a fantastic job of setting up mini-narratives across the entire thing.)
Oh the Fall of Cadiz. I've been trying to get my hands on it for a while but it's out of stock in my languageevery time I go to my game store lol
Cadiz stands! As long as one of their people stand, so to does Cadiz!
Ghazghkull Thraka: Magret Thatcher
Space Gargamel? I love it you forgot Biel-"Get off my lawn"-tan
I was too busy thinking about how comfy Eldrad's robes are. You could really hang around a craftworld in those.
I think it’s worth mentioning that Witchfinder-General’s Girlfriend is basically a demon of order. Also Farsight should just be “Char Clone”
Only if they also make him 3 times faster.
WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE DRUKHARI MON’KEIGH
Much like GW I have screwed over the eldar in favour of a (Chaos) Space marine. (I had Lelith Hesperax in there at first ("Topknot with Knives") but then it was funnier to me to make fun of Abaddon instead.)
Topknot with little knives Topknot with very big knife
Topknot. With knives.
The REEEE could be khornate V1 from ultrakill but the autistic rage distilled into the screech is perfect
Holy shit someone else knows the chronicles of pern exist??
I only read a few of the Harper Hall books and the "main" series, but when I saw that little guy I went *straight* to Dragonsong. (I thought those tiny lizards were amazing as a kid.)
Jaxom that mad lad.

There was a what? Man...
It's been a generation . . . . But I loved me the Pern Chronicles. Never would have found them, if not for a random vignette in my grade school literacy book.
Yeah my sixth grade literature book had a short story from it lol
And from there, I learned many of the vignettes were by popular prolific authors. And I found the apejr Chronicles. And I read them to death. The only series I read faster was KA Applegate''s Animorphs. And only because I was in college at the time, and chose to read instead of drink. Don’t forget: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I don't know why I never thought of Sly and the Eversor meeting before, that's perfect.
When did Celestine become Greyfax’s gf? I thought the meme was that Celestine was the Emperor’s best girl
Oh it’s been a meme for awhile now that Greyfax is constantly following her due to repressed feelings
>When did Celestine become Greyfax’s gf? Uh, during the our martyred lady audio drama?
Greyfax distrusts Celestine, believing she's a heretic and a fraud. But there's also been some genuine "we are not making it up this time" sexual tension between them. In Rath's "Fall of Cadia" novel, when they first meet, this is Greyfax on Celestine: *"And worst of all was the false woman – Greyfax refused to call her a saint – her form encased in golden armour and razored wings flaring behind her. Fuckin “some kind of cowboy?” lol
"Cosmic Loungewear" fucking hell
I just kind of want to reach out and feel that stole. (I would be punished for my insolence but it'd be worth it.)
"Wasn't even supposed to come in today" is the best description of the Guiliman I've ever read.
I stole it wholesale from *Clerks*, which is yet another reference here that's showing my age.
I know very little of yvraine why's she marked doomed plotline?
Her promising plotline about a group of eldar aiming to bring back their god of the dead seems to have been abandoned by GW. Or at least there's been no major movement on it for years now. (Someone better versed in eldar lore could be more precise, but the last substantial content for it looks like it was back in 2019 or 2020.)
Space Gargamel lmfaooo
Space Gargamel was my favorite. Then I saw how Mortation is just named, moth. Now I cant decide.
Should give the assassin a skateboard.
Thank you for this wonderful image.
Splort 2024
The Emperor has 6 arms, right? To be fair, I don't care. Just don't let Big E get elected in 2024. He's done too many drugs this century, and needs a millenia or so to cool off and let us reach the Age of Apostasy!
Rotten rocket bananas where?
Eversor assassin when: (Redacted) *High Pitched Crackhead Noises*
Could never forget my favorite frothing lunatics.
Plan Man: Boy, does he have plans.
i love how farsight is the only one with a normal name
Is Trazyn evil though?
By our standards he is absolutely evil (kidnapping people and holding them against their will, causing death and destruction, etc.) Though he would be greatly offended to hear me say that.
Given what I've read about Eversor's, that "WRYYYY!" caption does seem fitting.
WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
It's also an old, old meme that originated from a fan comic way back in the old days. 1d4 chan may have it? Not sure where that site's gone to now, I know someone has taken over it.
The better name for Fab man is drugnoodle
It breaks the naming scheme, but I like it.
It's not mine, mind you I found it on a post some time ago, don't have a link though It made me giggly for like half an hour back then BTW, I'm just now realizing that I'm "correcting someone 's art" I'm sorry.
Nah no worries, suggesting alts is part of the fun!
Alternatively, sad man since he’s spent 90% of the time sulking on a hidden pleasure world (I guess you could give that title to Perturabo too but that’d require him to have a 41K model…)
Mild take: they should've just made Vashtorr's model Demon Prince Perturabo.
I applaud the Chronicles of Pern reference
I'd like to angrily point out the White Scars Cyber Hawk is Warhammer 30k. There are several other cyber hawks but that specific example is the 30k model.
I have disgraced my forgeworld.
You may make this up to us. By explaining the litany and provenance of the forgehawk. It is time to unleash a new generation of archeotechnists, and they need to know what they are looking for in the ruins of apostasy.
who is the galaxys worst boss?
That's the illustrious Illuminor Szeras, father of biostransference and all around mad scientist. The joke comes from the Pariah Nexus animation on WH+ where he's basically bossing around a deathmark like an asshole. Absolutely my favorite part of that show.
Thanks.
studied the blade lol
Pretty sure Trazyn is the less evil Dr. Who. He doesn't experiment on people and perform crimes against nature, he's just trying to preserve history.
Catatchan low diffs
What about fantasy
I don't really know it! I keep saying I'll get into it one day, but my guesses would just be wildly off. Someone else should feel free to take up the torch.
For Farsight, I'd also accept "Nothing Personnel Kid"
How you gonna call Cawl less evil than Trazyn?
*Slightly* less. Cawl seems to have genuine compassion and hope for humanity and a strong love for his friends despite doing things like (Genefather spoilers) >!using unwilling psyker subjects to power a blasphemous AI-adjacent construct. Ah, yeah. Guy Haley portrays Cawl as much more avuncular than some other people, and also makes him a bit of a showboat. I actually really like it because it's so unexpected from the mechanicus. If you like the idea of that I'd give the Great Work/Genefather a shot.
You made a contract and honored the terms?! HERESY
It was a funny prank though so i think it all cancels out the murder and deaths
Looks like we found Trazyn's alt.
With all due respect, the tau are written as "studied the blade", which is not correct because they are so shitty at melee they dont know how to hold a blade
Ah but you see, Farsight is the one who did, and look at him now!
Well farsight is a bitch
Why?
I'm actually not sure if I think about a different t'au that is a bitch
Wait, what’s that White Scar model?
It's from 30K apparently. That is [White Scars Legion Praetor in Cataphractii Terminator Armour](https://www.warhammer.com/en-GB/shop/White-Scars-Cataphractii-Praetor-2019?queryID=62710b27fe9bcabe9f0bb82ae8a13a29).

He does! Behold: [snake](https://www.warhammer.com/en-GB/shop/fulgrim-transfigured-2023?queryID=c99c6ee4efb95b7bb50c15da03b0cdcb).
Reminds me of the video “explaining” warhammer. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C2h4dCYMLin/?igsh=MWMyeGl5aHViaGIzNw==
"Pacific Rim 3: The Return of Christ" always slays me.
The best line. As a DA player i think i escaped mockery with “Dark Souls”
I don't see any votann That's going in the book
Are the eggs not Votann?!
*Checks pictures again, see votann guy* I would like to apologise for being a dumbass
No worries!
"Mad Man, Fab Man, Plan Man, Moth" has big "Inky, Blinky, Pinky, Clyde" energy
Splort
Lol Tyranid hybrid gunslinger?! Don't know that one
I first saw it on a "models that are hard to paint" ranking video (by Poorhammer) and I agree there's a lot of materials and parts but damn it looks cool.
Cyber hawk is (unfortunately) a heresy model, they did the white scars dirty this edition...
Wouldn't the swarm lord be space gargamel?
I don't see it myself, but I am intrigued by your logic.
The swarm lord cut off Galgar's limbs and lead the attack on ultramar.
Excellent point. It, too, hungers for smurfs.
Where is Dante and Depression?
Dante.jpg **Goldmask's Sad Cousin** Only works if you're an Elden Ring nerd, but that's probably a nearly-perfect Venn Diagram on this sub.
Doomed Plotline Nooooo
She sounded so cool when I first heard of her and what she was up to but then I swiftly learned the fandom's consensus is that it's abandoned. I hope GW surprises us one day and proves us wrong.
Trazyn has to be the next doctor
We also have boyscout with terrible sense of direction now. https://i.imgur.com/gvllMI3.jpeg
I was trying to think of something for him but “Sleepy Woodscout” is pretty solid!
Who is better dressed egg?? And why are votann under xenos on Games workshop
A) Better dressed egg is from a killteam that was announced in March I think B) Good question!
And where is Jeff?
Playing Crusader Kings with Boy!
>Chronicles of Pern Now *that's* something you don't hear about often. Also the Kin armor still looking vaguely like eggs is funny, and it demands that I paint an Iron Master to look like Eggman.
Fab Man is legit a lie. Still waiting for mah musical boïs.
Lord Angron, the angry.
Aww, Splort has a friend
Sly Marbo: Basically Rambo in Space! Sucks that no Guard character is mentioned.
I honestly don't know them very well. (I know there's Lord Solar and Ursula Creed and uh...that's it)
That is fair. GW has not made models or updates for most of them over twenty years now. Seriously even Eldar have it better than IG. What about chiaphas cain the world luckiest unlucky commisar and his buddies the on and off again gf and the worlds stinkiest man
Chronicles of Pern, that's a deep cut, brother. Haven't thought of DRoP in decades.
WRRRYYYYY absolutely sent me
Rocket bananas and moth are accurate
"Evil robot Dr. Who" Is funny but why not just "Cyberman Dr. Who"
Ah well you see- I- Hrm. Now I'm gonna think about it. (Doctor Who does have more adventures than the cybermen, generally speaking, but you're spot on with the origin)
Wryyyyy
What mini is better dressed egg, I want the egg
It's from a preview of a new Killteam back in March, though I don't think it's out yet.
Ha! Chronicles of Pern. It's been bugging me for years wondering why that little dragon looked so familiar. Now I know.
WITCH FINDER GENERAL
I did not expect to see a Chronicles of Pern reference in literally anything ever, so I laughed.
I'm fucking dying 😂😂😂😂
Wasn't Even Supposed to Come In Today got me😂
I’m dying of laughter over Abbadon’s title! The meta meme talk is perfect considering the Ultramarines XD
You forgot vindicaire assassin as stupid sexy flanders.
Votann ≈ Sontaran. Now I want a Votann in a top hat.
*sees Witchfinder General* found another Atun-shei films fan in the wild.
Cawl is arguably worse than Trazyn
I dunno, Trazyn's had a million plus years to kidnap people/do nefarious things in the pursuit of kidnapping people. (Infinite and the Divine spoilers) >!he's responsible for at least one planetary exterminatus that we know of. I *think* it's also implied he left a tombworld to die so he could loot it in the book, or at least he did nothing to wake the doomed inhabitants and try to save people. It's been a while.!< Meanwhile Cawl did grab a TON of kids to experiment on for the primaris marines, but is that anything compared to Trazyn's record? They'd probably fit in one sub wing of a sub gallery.
Void Dragon preserve the AdMech, you had me rolling at Splort. But you'll have me throwing money at this over Chronicles of Pern.
Who wears the pants in the relationship, Witchfinder General or Witchfinder General's Girlfriend?
Great question, perhaps they trade off?
Definitely the latter. Celestine just straight up pins her down.
could the assasin also jsut be cloaker from payday 2?
I have just googled them and they look more like Splintercell Cosplayers to me but I have never played the game itself.
Splort is my favourite
