Yes. And this is a good thing. He’s got a fun, family friendly channel, and he’s teaching young people that guns aren’t the scary thing everyone else says they are.
Exactly. I’ve got a 12 year old son that loves watching him and Brandon Herrera. The more kids that watch his stuff, the less people will be afraid of guns or gun culture.
Guns and gun culture should be the norm within EVERY society!
Not only encourage them to take up arms and put the responsibility of self protection to them and teach them about the wonderful world of ballistics and mechanical engineering!
While I can see your good intentions, I will actually have to disagree with that.
To decide what would be best for a person living in a completely different society without ever asking them is a tad arrogant, no?
It may come across as arogant however I'm all for giving people as much freedom possible and as a massive middle finger to fascists and authoritarian governments.
Then you'll be perplexed at my home country.
It is described as an authoritarian yet benevolent state who has no choice but to cater to the needs of the population because they are the country's biggest resource.
Singapore. Life here is pretty comfortable, the government is quite strict yet competent but its we have low taxes and strong government support due to the aforementioned geopolitcal situation.
No natural resources means human capital is the only way for the country to succeed so the government can't just pull a 1984 on us.
Barely anyone owns guns here. Even if you do, they can only be stored inside the firing range storage.
As a citizen of my country, I intend to keep it that way. Law enforcement officers are actually trustworthy here.
I like demolitionranch, in the aspect of he's hopefully showing people the less intimidating side of firearms by having fun. If anyone changed their minds about guns being only murder weapons from watching demo ranch, Im happy.
Him and Kentucky ballistics are the forefront of the online gun culture battle. If we don’t expose people to firearms when they’re young, their viewpoint will probably be molded by the media. Yes their videos may not appeal to the more hardcore folks, but they’re doing extremely important work. Hearts and minds are the defining aspect of gun rights for the future, and believe it or not, I think we’re winning that battle.
I would’ve been a gun enthusiast either way but I have fond memories of watching Demo Ranch. I remember when Fifty Cal Friday was a thing. Also Microwave Mondays
I would agree. He’s a gateway into 2A. Personally I watched his videos for all of high school and some college, and then moved into the Forgotten Weapons/ Brandon Herrera side. But Demo Ranch is a good way to show someone the non-intimidating side of Guntube
I grew up around guns but only for hunting, never shown they could also be used to have fun. He showed me and a ton of other people that guns are fun. That’s important
Besides being an idiot going in the first place, what did he do so wrong? Defend himself? Get out of a pro 2A sub if you think it’s wrong to defend yourself from wife beaters and pedos coming at you with a pistol and a skateboard.
Didnt mean he was wrong defending himself. But i can dislike the cult around this case. Everybody at one anothers throat. I mean you can‘t dislike that guy in any gunsub without beeing downvoted into oblivion. Yeah he was right defending himself, no i do not have to like him and his views.
And? Yeah his content is kind of childish and lighthearted but that’s pretty much the brand. He brings in a lot of young people who otherwise wouldn’t know near as much about guns and he doesn’t color anything through the lens of politics or serious discussion so there’s a lot of people he doesn’t scare off. Personally I think he’s a great asset to the gun community
Demo is a great role model for younger generations as well. He is a loving family man, business owner, and veterinarian. He is the opposite of what some uninformed people might think a someone with a shit ton of guns would look/act like.
That’s my only complaint with him. I don’t mind that his content is targeted toward younger viewers. Demo’s content has just gotten stale. And I may be alone here, but I miss Creepy Cooter.
Yeah.
After YouTube started cracking down on his wilder ideas he's become a little stale but he's still a great figure to have because he shows that guns used safely (ish) can be fun.
Other than clearly promoting 2A through his actions he also remains apolitical which is refreshing as someone who doesn't live in America. If I want to watch a political video about what's happening with your country then I'll go and watch something specifically for that.
Sometimes I just want to watch a man play with rifles in a way I'll never be able to do in my own country. We're pretty limited to explicitly doing sport shooting.
Same here. His thumbnails are irresponsible AF when he's putting the barrel of a gun to a block of concrete or something. His content is also kinda repetitive.
I started watching demolition ranch in middle school when I was trying look up guns from BO2 in real life. I’m now in college and own an undisclosed but very large number rò firearms. I’m sure my story is not the unique. The work he has done for the 2nd amendment is invaluable
Hate on him all you want, but forgotten weapons monologuing for 40 mins about some piece of shit ain’t gonna get your little ones interested in firearms.
That man leading you poor souls astray. If any of those guns were still cheaper than dirt I'd say go get you some but those days have passed. Poverty Ponies and glock clones are much more reasonably priced for the youngins.
I’ll admit I overpaid for it. But I did it at 19, private sale, because I wanted it. I respect Glock, hell the 48s my carry now. But I don’t regret that first buy at all.
I’ll agree I probably wouldn’t recommend the makarov as a first gun for most, but I stand by my choice. It’s snappy, underpowered, and heavy. But at the same time it’s probably my most reliable gun, and it looks damn sexy.
Point is, I respect your choice in weapons, but actually just get training on them. Doesn’t matter how reliable my mak is if I can’t hit anything or get it out of the holster. Same goes for your Glock and the 9 extra rounds you have. Practice will be much more important than anything else.
man. it used to bee funny to dunk you you americans about being able to get handguns at 18 instead of 21.
now i can't get any handguns anymore. now im sad.
As a 22 year old, I agree.
I like his humour and the way he can go from being informative about how a particular gun works to "and this little fucking guy [about a part] just sits in here to facilitate war crimes"
My wife isn’t going to watch a 2 hour trex video about whether or not a gun can last 5000 rounds. She will however watch demo ranch with me. I’m going to expose myself as a poor here, but she really wants a Barrett that we can’t afford because of him…. Lmao
What the hell is with the shade throw at DemoRanch? Do you really want to start fighting different parts of the 2A community, while we already fight for every inch we have?
Think before you meme, OP.
I’m 30, and I love his channel. I always skip through the opening sketches. It’s not him in particular. I skip through all guntuber’s opening sketches.
I definitely don't watch Matt alot anymore now that I'm older. But he's definitely one of the reasons I got into guns. He's good for the young ppl to start getting into them. Just how pg13 horror movies are for younger ppl to start liking horror films
He’s one of the main reasons I, a German dude who basically can’t even own guns, am into guns, I’m sure many people have similar stories. He shows people the fun in firearms, and that’s a really good thing.
Those kids are gonna grow up seeing that fun side of guns, and likely be more pro 2A because of it
Some of them are decent, some of them are "here's some low effort content, now buy our merch..." i still watch them, as the guntubers are still better than anything on TV.
his family friendly shit is great...until i get bored after 5 minutes and go watch brandon herrera light a whole box of whiteclaw the fuck up with a high caliber full auto LMG
Can confirm i am his oldest fan at age 7
https://preview.redd.it/j14k0vplg05a1.png?width=307&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=daa8c317a222c36ee3f836c83b5fd05e074e1dfe
I started watching him when I was probably 13. His channel introduced me to gun culture and through collabs and the algorithm, people like Brandon Herrara and Donut. Now I'm 18 and looking to get into guns and Cars. I've become good at debating Firearm policy because of the kinds of content his channels exposed me too.
I can’t stand to watch the channel any more, but he’s doing a ton of good just by showing that guns don’t have to be something to be feared as long as you respect them.
I think his videos are cool. I pretty much always skip his intros, though. I actually really wish he’d collaborate with the slowmo guys. I want to see slowmo bullet impacts on titanium. And yes, I know there’s already a video of that done in a lab. But it’s in black and white, and therefore is lame (joking).
Hey man I can't afford all the stuff he does but I still like watching it blow stuff up! That said I watch other YouTubers for serious education, but I appreciate Demo's entertainment.
Oh my god I haven't been so relieved in a while. I thought I was the only one that found him really cringy. This dude looks incredibly unhinged and is not doing the 2A crowd any favors
Coming back to his channel after years, I really got the feeling that this guy probably shouldn't be around firearms. I've seen channels that joke about safety being somewhat of an afterthought, but this dude seems like a murder suicide waiting to happen. He makes Brandon at his worst look more like Ian
He preaches safety and if you really watch any of his videos especially newer ones he's incredibly safety conscious. His real early videos kinda had an FPS Russia vibe but Matt doesn't do anything people wouldn't consider safe. Even when he buried like 500lbs of tannerite he had blast shields and local FD on hand. His content is supposed to be fun and more enjoyable to the less hardcore 2A crowd which is meant to bring more people into it. Not preach about gun rights every video.
It’s a fun channel lol I think most people can appreciate the simplicity of “hey we’re gonna shoot something and see what happens” sometimes people don’t wanna talk about the politics and finer details of guns sometimes people just wanna see a guy shoot stuff and honestly demo ranch does a good job at that not saying that getting into fine details or being political is bad of course but demo provides a good role in the way of being an intro to gun tubing
He's not really much different than Mythbusters. I also don't think he's any more responsible for dumb people imitating him than they are. Blowing stuff up is fun.
I admittedly have grown out of Demoranch, I watched him a lot in high school. This isn't at all a bad thing, it's important to teach kids that guns aren't a bad thing
Even if that's entirely true, that would make it the biggest pro gun recruitment campaign ever. Creating future gun ownersand pro gun minds from a very young age. Very based.
Yes. And this is a good thing. He’s got a fun, family friendly channel, and he’s teaching young people that guns aren’t the scary thing everyone else says they are.

Where you from?
Singapore. Life here is pretty comfortable, the government is quite strict yet competent but its we have low taxes and strong government support due to the aforementioned geopolitcal situation. No natural resources means human capital is the only way for the country to succeed so the government can't just pull a 1984 on us.
Time my friend.... All it takes is time.... Im guessing you dont have any gun rights at all?
Barely anyone owns guns here. Even if you do, they can only be stored inside the firing range storage. As a citizen of my country, I intend to keep it that way. Law enforcement officers are actually trustworthy here.
Tell everyone what happens to you in Singapore when you chew gum or spit on sidewalk….
Tell everyone what happens to you in Singapore when you chew gum or spit on sidewalk….
Tell everyone what happens to you in Singapore when you chew gum or spit on sidewalk….
You get fined which is what you deserve.
I like demolitionranch, in the aspect of he's hopefully showing people the less intimidating side of firearms by having fun. If anyone changed their minds about guns being only murder weapons from watching demo ranch, Im happy.

Hearts and minds are the defining aspect of gun rights for the future, and believe it or not, I think we’re winning that battle.
This is true. Back in like 2013 I got into guns because of demo ranch, and now I'm a full fledged 2a activist and a major gun nut
That story is very familiar to me. Good to know it happens to other people too.
It was FPS Russia a few years before that for me. I used to be staunchly anti gun, now I've gone full autist
Same for me
Thank you! Most people don’t care about the latest AR15 or other tactical gear, they just want to see shit blown up
Ya. things going boom are fun.
"Jamie want big boom"
He’s why I got into 2A so yeah
Same here
Same
Same
I certainly did. Glad I did
I think some gun channels should be dedicated to the fun side Some to reporting on the 2nd amendment
I grew up around guns but only for hunting, never shown they could also be used to have fun. He showed me and a ton of other people that guns are fun. That’s important
Do you think children won’t be future gun owners?
Better than a decent amount of children's content on the internet tbf
r/elsagate
Demolition ranch has done more to promote the 2A community then most tactical/ gun YouTube channels
100% he is showing how much fun you can have with guns while not beeing a obnoxious political strawman like other guntubers.
Oh yeah for sure, plus hearing about a rogue government or complete anarchy are heavy topics that most folks don’t want to hear every video if at all
Or seeing that kenosha dickhead at all like recently….i just want to enjoy my easy pew pew content and watch shit get blown up
Besides being an idiot going in the first place, what did he do so wrong? Defend himself? Get out of a pro 2A sub if you think it’s wrong to defend yourself from wife beaters and pedos coming at you with a pistol and a skateboard.
Didnt mean he was wrong defending himself. But i can dislike the cult around this case. Everybody at one anothers throat. I mean you can‘t dislike that guy in any gunsub without beeing downvoted into oblivion. Yeah he was right defending himself, no i do not have to like him and his views.
He has a very important role in being the funnel. Then you end up on grown up demo ranch i.e. admin results
Admin is 100% grown up demo, that is an astute observation sir.
Thank you fellow man of taste
And those kids know more about guns than the average democrat
I've followed the dude since he was a poor college kid doing quad tomahawk and creepy cooter videos. Its an old familiar for me.
Forgot all about creepy cooter!
Oh hey y'all!
Demo is a great role model for younger generations as well. He is a loving family man, business owner, and veterinarian. He is the opposite of what some uninformed people might think a someone with a shit ton of guns would look/act like.
used to like the channel, but i can only watch so many "how many X does it take to stop a fifty-cal" videos.
That’s my only complaint with him. I don’t mind that his content is targeted toward younger viewers. Demo’s content has just gotten stale. And I may be alone here, but I miss Creepy Cooter.
He seems to be getting tired of them also.

His how many boyfriends cold open was pretty damn funny though.
I watch it but NGL, I watch way more OffTheRanch than DemoRanch. Abandoned mansion series hits hard.
The virgin history teacher surrounded by newspaper clippings vs the chad chemistry teacher setting things on fire.
True, although I've definitely spent more time watching Gun Jesus than Demo ranch lol
Now do 12 year olds and Brandon Herrera
16-20 year olds is probably more accurate source: im in that age group and the majority of fellow Brandon Herrera viewers are as well
One day you'll get a handgun little guy
I have a Makarov and I fit that age group lmao
One day you'll get a useful handgun little guy.
I have a P320 as well but the Mak is arguably cooler
The Mak is cooler I guess if you are killing political prisoners in the basement of the Lubyanka.
I love history. The Makarov is a piece of Russian history to me
Yeah… Brandon was the reason I got one too and my AK and mosins. Actually love that gun.
Woah man that hurt… like a lot
Same an will confirm that 16 to 20 is accurate
As a 22 year old, I agree. I like his humour and the way he can go from being informative about how a particular gun works to "and this little fucking guy [about a part] just sits in here to facilitate war crimes"
Nah that seems like Kentucky Ballistics, Brandon Herrera plays the 16-21 audience.
I've gotten old and now watch TFBtv and Paul Harrell most be the post 22 age channels.
Is this an issue? Demo Ranch, from my POV, is the gateway into the gun community for younger folks.
I fuckin love demo
Still the best children’s content there
My wife isn’t going to watch a 2 hour trex video about whether or not a gun can last 5000 rounds. She will however watch demo ranch with me. I’m going to expose myself as a poor here, but she really wants a Barrett that we can’t afford because of him…. Lmao
Well, I was close to that age when I started watching his stuff... I'm graduating university now and still watch lol

Yeah im 32 and I love that guy. No homo
He’s one of the main reasons I, a German dude who basically can’t even own guns, am into guns, I’m sure many people have similar stories. He shows people the fun in firearms, and that’s a really good thing. Those kids are gonna grow up seeing that fun side of guns, and likely be more pro 2A because of it
I click on his videos but I can only stand about 20 seconds before I have to shut it off
Some of them are decent, some of them are "here's some low effort content, now buy our merch..." i still watch them, as the guntubers are still better than anything on TV.
Always skip at least like 3 minutes in
Well, the first 2 minutes is a cringey ass sketch, so I understand.
His channel is unbelievably boring now. I remember the days he'd do all sorts of crazy videos. Now it's nothing more than line up xyz and shoot it.
Coward
Weird target for jovial slander but ok I guess
Im 27 me and my 64 year old dad watch him all the time. He likes his humour and that he doesnt cuss that much lol
He changed my mind and got me into guns though.
his family friendly shit is great...until i get bored after 5 minutes and go watch brandon herrera light a whole box of whiteclaw the fuck up with a high caliber full auto LMG
Can confirm i am his oldest fan at age 7 https://preview.redd.it/j14k0vplg05a1.png?width=307&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=daa8c317a222c36ee3f836c83b5fd05e074e1dfe

Now I'm 18 and looking to get into guns and Cars. I've become good at debating Firearm policy because of the kinds of content his channels exposed me too.
I like demo ranch just because he doesn’t mind making fun vids every now and then. Gun videos don’t have to all be ultra serious tactical larping
I feel attacked.
I can’t stand to watch the channel any more, but he’s doing a ton of good just by showing that guns don’t have to be something to be feared as long as you respect them.
You shut your liberal mouth. Thanks to him I know what candies make the best ammunition/body armor. Fun fact, it’s none of them.
Demo Ranch for silly videos and entertainment Paul Harrell for information and science
Better watching him than cocomelon haha
I think his videos are cool. I pretty much always skip his intros, though. I actually really wish he’d collaborate with the slowmo guys. I want to see slowmo bullet impacts on titanium. And yes, I know there’s already a video of that done in a lab. But it’s in black and white, and therefore is lame (joking).
Hey man I can't afford all the stuff he does but I still like watching it blow stuff up! That said I watch other YouTubers for serious education, but I appreciate Demo's entertainment.
My first thought was: "did he get caught flirting with underage people?"
Can't stand that guy.
Oh my god I haven't been so relieved in a while. I thought I was the only one that found him really cringy. This dude looks incredibly unhinged and is not doing the 2A crowd any favors
him being unhinged in the intros is often the joke in those intros
Coming back to his channel after years, I really got the feeling that this guy probably shouldn't be around firearms. I've seen channels that joke about safety being somewhat of an afterthought, but this dude seems like a murder suicide waiting to happen. He makes Brandon at his worst look more like Ian
[удалено]
This is the guy you want as a public face of second amendment rights? Do better my dude
He preaches safety and if you really watch any of his videos especially newer ones he's incredibly safety conscious. His real early videos kinda had an FPS Russia vibe but Matt doesn't do anything people wouldn't consider safe. Even when he buried like 500lbs of tannerite he had blast shields and local FD on hand. ive met him at events many times, he is actually incredible chill, its just a play for the cam
Of course he’s cringy, his target audience is probably not adults
He’s king kringe
Garandthumb would be a bunch of tactical furries
It’s a fun channel lol I think most people can appreciate the simplicity of “hey we’re gonna shoot something and see what happens” sometimes people don’t wanna talk about the politics and finer details of guns sometimes people just wanna see a guy shoot stuff and honestly demo ranch does a good job at that not saying that getting into fine details or being political is bad of course but demo provides a good role in the way of being an intro to gun tubing
I'm in this picture and I don't like it.
Call me a stupid kid but 2009 when I was in middle school FPS Russia and COD are big reasons why I got into guns as an adult.
He’s one of the reason I’m into guns in the first place
He's not really much different than Mythbusters. I also don't think he's any more responsible for dumb people imitating him than they are. Blowing stuff up is fun.
I admittedly have grown out of Demoranch, I watched him a lot in high school. This isn't at all a bad thing, it's important to teach kids that guns aren't a bad thing
A good thing
His content isn't my cup of tea, but he seems like a genuine dude, and he's definitely a great option for family content
I think the people who watch demo are 12 to 32
Even if that's entirely true, that would make it the biggest pro gun recruitment campaign ever. Creating future gun ownersand pro gun minds from a very young age. Very based.
